I eat here all the time, so I thought I'd post a review. This is my favorite place for lunch at Peachtree Center! The food is fresh, well made, with generous portions. The staff are very friendly, and always make me feel welcome. They recognize me and remember my regular order, and it's so nice to feel like they're happy to see me. The space is usually very clean. I appreciate the salsa bar. My only recommendation is for them to reopen the second food prep line, at least during the busy part of the lunch hour! There's always a line, though it does move quickly. I know the wait is worth it, but I bet they'd have a boost in revenue if they staffed the second line like they used to. Bad but cheap fast food. It's what you expect in a mall. Willy's is a local chain with typical Mexican kind of stuff. It has a location in the Peachtree Center. The food is mediocre but still better than other places. Get a burrito. It's the main specialty here. They have several preselected styles or custom make it. It's about $7 for a burrito. The fillings include beans, cheeses, meats, salsas, and vegetables. It comes out looking like some cafeteria food. This isn't close to being authentic but if cheap is what you want then this is that. It still is better than most other places in the Peachtree Center. Most are also some kind of fast food. The hot sauces help make anything taste better so load up a burrito with some of these. read more

As I was planning my trip to Dragoncon, I had scoped out the Mexican flair in the area. I had come across Willy's and wasn't impressed. But in need of a quick lunch, I chose Willy's. Mainly because I like to eat at places that I cannot eat at in my area. I also saw the menu of Willy's with an item that caught my eye. That item was the Southern Burrito. It came with chipotle pulled pork, Alabama white BBQ sauce, rice, beans, and slaw. I added black olives and corn to mine. I am so glad I gave Willy's a try. This burrito was unique and delicious. The chipotle pork was spicy and I thought the Alabama white sauce was a worthy addition. I added a side of guacamole. The guac was had a citrus zest to it. I really got too much of it but it was a solid accompaniment to my burrito. My sweet tea was refreshingly sweet! With the Southern Burrito, Willy's set itself apart from other similar burrito chains. The only complaint I can make is that there was no combo. But if you are in need of a burrito with some uniqueness, give Willy's a try. read more

Ok. I visited this place as night (8.1.2020) Let me, first, say this food and this margarita are AMAZING. No doubt about it. This place has a Chipotle/Moe's feel to it. However, when amazing food is paired with horrible customer service, #AtlantaWeHaveAproblem. So while walking through the line to create my bowl, I had an awesome experience with the nice gentleman dishing up the protein portion of my bowl. He was nice as pie and joking with us the whole time. The next station for the toppings wasn't nearly as pleasant. This young lady was a bit dismissive and a bit irritated with every option I chose to add to my bowl. I don't understand why though since serving those items is her job for the day. Then I get to the young lady doing the checkout portion and she is worse than the last. The previous lady told me to ask the checkout lady for a side of the corn to add to my bowl. When I asked for it, she huffed REALLY hard and walked away to get it. Once she did that, I knew I was going to make this post! I added a margarita to my order and she asked for my ID. (Guess I'm looking young today LOL) my Husband ordered a Sprite, but because she kept yelling for my ID, she didn't hear him until the 3rd time he asked to add his drink to the order. We dined in. My husband walked around to find the plastic forks and some straws. There was only spoons and knives so he went back to the cashier who said they were out of straws and they didn't have forks out because they aren't wrapped. However, a different young man walked around and got us forks immediately (they were wrapped, by the way). Good food experiences can be ruined by horrible customer service. Why are you working if you don't really wanna work? Just take the day off if you don't wanna be here. Why are you giving dine in options when the diners can't get the tools they need to dine in? How are you out of straws when I'm watching you drink from one in the drink you have next to the register? So I gotta drink my margarita as dine in (can't leave with it) and I have no straw? SMDH Why is there so much attitude in here???? I may never come back to dine in here. Take out only! Now I'm listening to the cashier tell a delivery driver that they allowed someone else to pick up his order. Also with MUCH attitude. Another spot in the HUB next door to our hotel. It was a lunch time crowd but we only had 5 ppl ahead of us and there a two order lines. We decided on the Spicy Chicken Baja meal and the Chicken Quinoa Bowl. Both are shy of $9/each and are prepared/assemble in front of you has move down and the portion to price ratio was generous, the bowl being less. A bag of light/thin nachos come with each meal. We easily and quickly found seating for 3 and they have a self serve beverage and salsa/sauce station available. The Baja was real good and filling however the chicken wasnt as flavorful as I prefer and def needed the beans, quac, sour cream and salad to round out the dish. My wife enjoyed the Bowl but the spice level was a tad too high to completely enjoy the meal. In addition, the prompt and friendly service makes this place an excellent choice when in the area. read more

The food was flavorful, and my burrito was gigantic while natural flea rolled-up holding everything inside with falling say while eating it. I had the Frito Burrito by the way, and recommend it. The reason I removed a start was that I was surprised when I paid 0.40 more than their advertised price that is printed in multiple locations while in line. Yes, I'm aware that it's only 0.40. When I asked, the manager said that the process went up 3 months ago. I said that they should think about correcting the process they are advertising, and she just gave me a nod and went back to work. So, the food was really good, but pay attention to the prices. I got the chicken tacos and the grilled chicken is cooked to perfection, and the tortilla is very smooth and easy to eat. Also with just one order you can have a free bag of chips. I cannot understand the great reviews. Willy's is a Tex-mex option like Chipotle, Moe's, Panchero, Salsa Fiesta. I've eaten at a ton of them since they're generally vegan-friendly. The tofu sounded well-spiced on the menu but in the bin, it looked dry and sad. I passed and went for the veggie bowl. Don't get a bowl. You'll need the tortilla's help. The rice looked seasoned but was passionless. The black beans were the most flavorful thing, but still lacking. Someone needs to introduce them to cumin or Adobo! The vegetables were plain and undercooked for fajita style veggies. I was wishing for the tofu at this point... Toppings included lettuce, most of which was iceberg, "pico" that lacked spice (it was really just some chopped tomatoes), canned black olives, canned jalapeños, corn salsa (again, bland), cilantro, and guac. Where all else fails, a heap of fresh guac or some stellar condiments can be redeeming. Not here. The guac was thin and flavorless. I think it was packaged and shipped in. I can't fathom that it was made from avocados in the store. I asked for some dressing and got their vinaigrette. The profile was unbalanced like a mediocre Italian dressing. Willy's has been a staple of mine in the ATL airport, but seeing it in a sea of fast food in the Peachtree Center was a welcomed sight! The line was long, but moved quickly. I opted for the veggie bowl, which had beans, veggies, salsa, and tortilla chips. It was heavenly since I thought I was doomed for another Firehouse sub, or some fried colossal mess at the other places available. The salsa bar was clean, and I sampled a few options. They have the newest thing in fountain drinks, you can mix your own flavor so I opted for the Cherry vanilla Diet Coke. I love Willy's. I always order the same thing: Chicken Nachos with extra cheese and lots of veggies. I'm not sure this is on the menu (someone behind me in line pointed that out) but no one has ever complained. Willy's is similar to Moe's, Chipotle, etc. It's a fast, tex-mex option but it's the best of all of them. This is by no means a fancy place, just a fast lunch option for mexican food. I love Willy's queso and salsa. This location gets pretty packed with two long lines around lunch time. Would recommend going early/later to avoid the wait. Either way, it doesn't usually take too long. Even though this is in the food court, they have some of their own seating which is nice. Good lunch option if you work in the area. read more

Holy crap, in my pursuit to drop a review of every Willy's I've been to, I'm suddenly staring at nine open tabs. The Peachtree Center Willy's will always hold a special place in my heart. Y'see, I used to work for ScumTrust back in the day when their tagline was "seeing beyond money," before one day, they decided to narrow their vision to just the money, realized that higher ups needed more money, and offed 1,100 employees, including all graphic designers. But when I worked there, I went to this Willy's no less than four times a week. What can I say, creature of habit. Long story short, with such frequent visitation, all the employees there got to recognizing me, and when they learned of impending layoffs, they commiserated with me, and on my last day, even gave me a free burrito. This Willy's, being the lunch juggernaut with dual lines, didn't have the oven to do nachos, but their workers were the best people ever, and I loved them regardless. The available seating in the center is always an issue, both in the court, as well as the interior, but it's the center of tourism and hotel patrons, so this is never any surprise. But this week was a defining moment with my relationship with this particular Willy's. I was freelancing for a company that afforded me lunch proximity to this Willy's, and so I went back, and noticed several familiar faces. Not expecting anyone to recognize me after almost four years, I planned on just being normal, until it was my turn in line, and I was immediately recognized, and before I knew it, my old "usual" was on the foil, moving down the line, passed through other familiar faces. The burritos, quesadillas, and salads are all pretty good and you have a variety of stuff to choose from. The chips are pretty decent. The salsa bar has a few options which are good (though the "habanero salsa" is really not spicy at all). The hot sauce is good and a little spicy though. Willy's Peachtree Center has mastered the art of shuffling hungry convention and lunch goers through line in record times. I frequent this location and of course there was a mega convention in town a few weeks ago so the food court was like a zoo. The Willy's line literally extended beyond the restaurant into the food court and there were at least 25 people in front of me. Nonetheless my order was taken and delivered within 10 minutes. Kudos to the line staff because they always get my orders right. What's not to love about Willy's? They were one of the first authentic Mexican cuisine fast food restaurants to please our palette's around the metro area. Being almost 4 months pregnant on my 30 min break from work thinking i can get back to work and eat it on time... that did not happen i took 2 bites of the burrito and into a huge plastic piece of i dont even know what!! I don't frequent this location often due to how busy it is during the lunch rush. I had a craving for cheese dip and gave in yesterday. I ordered my usual chicken adobe bowl. Right after scooping out my chicken, the employee pulled out a full pan of fresh chicken to refill the one she served me from. At the time, the one she was serving me from appeared to still be about 1/4 full. Naturally, it made me wonder how long my chicken had been in the pan if she's going to continue adding fresh chicken on top of old chicken. I continued with my order anyway. Fast forward to my return to the office to eat my food. Everything was tasting great and I was kicking myself for waiting so long to visit this location. Shortly after I began eating, I bit into a piece of plastic! It was approximately the size of my index finger and had a red tint to it. Luckily, I didn't actually consume the plastic but I was turned off from the meal at that point. I don't think I'll visit this location again. You know, this place looks very promising. It's got nice signage, attractive pictures and looks from the outside to have a good ambience. The food on the other hand, is very ordinary. Can I start by saying that I was actually very glad they gave me free chips with my burrito? The vegetarian burrito I ordered, was very plain and not flavorful in any way. Anyone who has ever eaten at a Chipotle will vow that vegetarian burritos can be quite fantastic. The one at Willy's tasted bland. The black beans didn't tasteless good, the salsa tasted old and in the whole it was also low on salt. It was as if it had been made very grudgingly. At Chipotle, Tacos Don Memo or any other burrito place, you can see them add the ingredients and you're always asked for options. No such thing here. Definitely not my favorite Willy's but it gets the job done. It's always super crowded when I go and very congested. But it's still good and the food is fresh :). They're always so busy and in such a rush, you never get that great and personable customer service experience. You'll find me at this Willy's or the one in Edgewood, but I think I can honestly say that Willy's is my favorite mexican food-source in Atlanta. Now there might be some hole-in-the-wall somewhere I don't know about that does it better, but Willy's has never let me down. The veggie burrito with a drink usually does the trick for me. I wish I could give a worse rating, but it wouldn't let me. The Salsa wasn't properly chopped, a lot of the drinks were all almost out, the chips were greasy and stale and not heated at all, and there was no kids menu at all. There were long lines, and it was cramped and the table were so close together, there were just like, 15 chairs lined up against the wall with no table to accompany them. I saw people spilling food and drinks over their clothes, struggling to find a way to balance their food on their laps. You'd think that with the long line, it would be better managed, with more space, and TABLES to go with the CHAIRS. I'm not coming back here. read more
