4.5 stars. Solid banh mi for Hawai'i; however banh mi in Garden Grove/Westminster, California are still superior. Compared to OC it is priced a bit more and there are less choices. However, I think this is a good dupe for California banh mi's in Hawaii. They are large, a decent price and are flavorful! There is a good veggies to meat ratio and the veggies taste fresh. The bread has a nice crust but I would prefer if it was a bit softer on the inside. This a grab and go place and there are a few numbered parking stalls in the back

I saw great reviews on Yelp for Bella Bahn Mi. I called ahead to order a couple sandwiches to take home and my order was ready when I arrived a few minutes later! The Veggie Bahn Mi sandwich was deliciously fresh a little kick of heat from the jalapeños. The sandwich as filled with lots of shave carrots and tofu. The baguette is nice and chewy with a great crispy crust. The BBQ Chicken Bahn Mi is filled with an intense smoky flavored tender chicken. The kick from the jalapeños is delicious. I also treated myself to a Black Tea Lemonade with Lychee Jelly. The drink was tart and sweet with little chewy jellies and perfectly refreshing. The shop is locally owned. The staff is friendly and hustles to keep orders coming. Prices are reasonable with sandwiches at $12.50. The shop has no dine-in tables, just a carry out counter. There is a small parking lot behind the building, where we found free parking.

Stopped by Bella Bánh Mì for the BBQ chicken bánh mì and the Saigon special--both were solid, especially with that perfectly crunchy bread on the outside and soft inside. The BBQ chicken was savory and paired really well with the fresh herbs and pickled veggies, while the Saigon special had a nice mix of flavors in every bite. My boyfriend had the Vietnamese iced coffee--strong, bold, and sweet, just how you'd expect. I tried the coffee jello with soy milk--it was just okay for me, better if you enjoy soy milk, and not overly sweet. This is more of a pickup-and-go kind of spot rather than a sit-down place, so ordering ahead makes it really convenient. Parking is limited, but there are a few stalls in the back for easy pickup.

One of the cleanest Banh Mi's I've had. Besides the obvious crumbs you get biting into the bread, all the veggies and meats were packed nicely with no messy strays falling out even while eating. I got the Saigon Special. I didn't get to eat it fresh because I got it in the morning for lunch so I can't really give my full opinion on the flavor, but it was still good and meat/veggie ratio were great - there wasn't anything overpowering the other. The size was also just right for the price while also perfectly filling. Also got the Vietnamese Coffee - not too strong but still good. Parking is kinda weird. There are two stalls in the back designated for them but they're not next to each other... and they were taken even though I was the only customer when I came. I'm not gonna say where I ended up parking, but me ordering and getting my food took only like 5min so it was an easy pick-up and go.

A delicious banh Mi sandwich shop in Liliha! I often passed this place and knew I had to try it. I walked in to place my order but you can also call ahead and pick up. The staff were friendly and efficient. I ordered 2 BBQ sandwiches. I had to wait about 5 minutes. The sandwiches are quite large. They are made on delicious slightly toasted baguettes. The chicken was flavorful and there was a good amount of chicken to veggies. They top the sandwich with cilantro, daikon, carrots, and jalapeños. Very delicious!

Top notch banh mi, reminds me of San Gabriel Valley's taste, minus the cost. Very nice staff, service was fast and available parking in the rear if the bldg. The shop is closed on Saturdays.

My favorite is their BBQ chicken banh mi. The service is always fast and easy. You can also order ahead online and just pick up your order.

Thanks to Craig T for taking my wife and I to this little shop. We were going out for lunch and my wife said she wanted a BBQ Chicken Banh Mi Sandwich for dinner. So he dropped me off in front of the shop so I could pickup a couple of Sandwiches. I was disappointed at the Banh Mi selection. Only four to choose from. They did have the BBQ Chicken, but not what I was looking for. So I decided to try the BBQ Pork Banh Mi. We picked up sandwiches and headed off for lunch. Having the sandwich for dinner, I have to thank Craig again. Both my wife and I gave the Banh Mi's a thumbs up. My BBQ Pork had a good smoked taste. Located at the corner of Liliha Street and Holokahana Lane. This is take out only shop. Two steps through the door and your at the order counter. Friendly and fast service. Enjoy

Located on Liliha st, on the right side going down to town, they have a small parking area, but most times you need to park on the street meter parking. No dining area, it is better to call in your order and pick up. I tried the Saigon Banh Mi which was not that tasty and the bread wasn't crispy making the bread chewy. They open Sunday to Friday 8:00 am - 2:00 pm and closed on Saturday.

I was looking for something to eat for my lunch break. My coworker showed me this banh mi sandwich to try, so I called him, and he went over there and got it for me. There is a little kick because the jalapeño was inside. You can taste the pickled vegetable inside. I love the pickled vegetable. The coffee drink taste really good. I never have Vietnamese coffee before now after this I would order almost every time I go to a Vietnamese restaurant. But overall, it is pretty good. I would order this again.

Make sure you park in the correct spot. Only 3 spots for Bella banh mi.
    Ryan M.

Came and got the pork banh mi its was tasty and delicious, the pickled veggies were crunchy and added a nice kick there were a few jalapeños but it didn't overpower with heat. In fact i wished there were more jalapeños! The pork was tender and the bread very crispy and crusty. I also got a Vietnamese iced coffee which was very smooth and delicious. My total for both was $18 and change so pretty decent for a lunch meal. It's a very small hole in the wall place so there's no place to eat inside basically just a counter as you enter. There's a parking lot out back but they share it with a few of the surrounding businessss and housing so look at the sign and make sure you're parking in the correct spot. As of today you can park in stalls 2,5, and 8. They may change over time so check the sign. There's also a few road side spots down the road, just pay attention to where you can and can't park. Service was quick and prompt. My order was ready in minutes after i ordered. I think this is my favorite banh mi spot in HI. Since there's no place to eat inside we took it to a nearby park to sit down on a bench and eat. You can either go to kunawai park or the baseball diamond on school street around the corner both are close or just take it home is fine too.

Coffee jelly is so good and refreshing! The balance of the coffee jelly and soy milk is perfection.

It was honestly one of the best matchas I've ever had in HI. Their pricing isn't too bad but not the cheapest. We got their lilikoi matcha (Hapa Honey Matcha), which was my first time trying it, and it was really good! It's definitely on the sweeter side, though, so just a heads-up if you don't like sweet drinks. For me, it was the perfect amount of sweetness because it wasn't overly sweet. I also loved that they do a little writing design on top of the drink using honey. I thought that was such a cute and unique touch! We also tried the Matcha Manako because it has li hing mango syrup, which we had never seen before. This one was less sweet but still really delicious! My friend also got their tonic drink, but unfortunately, we weren't really fans of it. The flavors didn't mix well together for us, so I wouldn't get that one again. I also like that they sell their own syrups that you can use to make your own drinks at home. I ended up buying their honey lilikoi syrup to bring home because I liked the drink so much. The syrup itself isn't very sweet. I've used it multiple times at home to make my own matcha, and it's been great! They have plenty of indoor seating, and it's not too loud, so I'd say it's a nice spot to hang out or get some work done. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I also loved that they sell bouquets there, and they were all so pretty! SERVICE: friendly INTERIOR: limited seating, gets hot inside EXTERIOR: on the corner, near Safeway WAIT TIME: normally fast (5 mins) but I think since there was only 1 person working n' I came right at opening, it took maybe 15 mins (I only paid for 15 mins of parking so I cut it close!) PARKING: metered street right in front n' to the side or free lot around the corner OVERALL COMMENTS: prices are great in my opinion in this day n' age. My usual go-to is their brown sugar milk tea with brown sugar boba or either their mango or strawberry sago with grapefruit. Since it was national mango day, I went with their mango drinks. The mango sago with grapefruit is always refreshing, tasty, n' has great textures. The mini sago is made perfectly. My daughter really enjoyed their cloudy mango. Don't forget to scratch off the scratcher on the drink cups, it could contain a discount for your next visit. I earned enough stamps to fill two stamp cards from previous visits, so you can say I'm a frequent customer!

This is for my catering experience with Tea at 1024…read more For Galentines, me and my girlfriends decided to take the experience to us. The ordering process was easy thanks to their amazing staff. Their guidance from online ordering to communication over the phone and text, they made our event successful and memorable. There was 5 of us , with a moderate appetite. So, We went with two orders of the "Catering - Sandwiches TO GO" and one order of the "Catering - Scones TO GO". Then our choice of their teas: 1oz Sakura Cherry Rose and 1oz of their Cookies and Cream, which is great with milk and sugar btw. 1oz =at least 12 pours of the tea. If you want 2oz =24 pours of tea. The sandwiches were also delicious, a cute tiny bite of flavor. Which to this day I wish I ordered more since I'm more of a savory girlie. You can choose the sandwiches from their catering or seasonal menu and it comes in 4 pieces. We ordered: Sandwich flavors 24 pieces 1 Sweet egg salad (4) 1 Smoked Salmon with Dill Creme (4) 1 Nutella & Strawberry (4) 1 roasted veggies & hummus (4) 1 Crab & Cheese (4) 1 Cucumber & Avocado (4) My personal Favorites were the Smoked Salmon with Dill Crème and Roasted veggies & Hummus. The scones only available flavors were vanilla bean & earl grey and it also comes with potted cream and jam packed in a to-go cup. If you decide to host a little tea party with your girlfriends, I highly recommend trying them out.

I was finally able to try this place due to an invite from a friend of mine who wanted high tea…read moreservice! Parking is always difficult in Chinatown but we both scored meter parking on Nuuanu St not too far from 1024. Walked in and was pleasantly surprised by how cute and kitschy the place looked! There was a group of 3 adorable little girls being patiently taught by a parent how to sip their tea and enjoy the courses. They were dressed like princesses with tiaras and I loved that this place created that type of atmosphere. I wish I had dressed up more! You get to choose your own tea cup and matching plate from various areas and chose one tea that they will refill throughout the tea service. I opted for the Buckingham Palace (Earl Grey and rose?) I think. Would love to try their pu'erh tea options next time! The lunch menu for afternoon tea is so reasonably priced and starts with a salad, two flavors of scones with sweetened clotted cream and a strawberry jam, then 6 finger sandwiches and 3 dessert bites. I will say that the food was a relatively even hit or miss on taste but I did prefer the savory sandwiches to the final dessert options. It's heavy on the carbs but that's afternoon tea for you! Such a fun option in Hawaii if you want to lean into the whimsy and magic of tea time!
