I had the best experience, with 10 bridesmaids in my bridal party, I was expecting the bridesmaids dress decision to be more difficult. I loved being able to make an appointment for all of us to go in at the same time and have our own bridesmaid dress stylist at hand. Kathleen helped us so much, she brought out an amazing black floral dress that my girls just adored, so we used that as our main piece to build around. Bella has so many designers and colors of dresses to choose from, they had super comfortable couches and chairs to relax in while everyone is trying on. You feel like a super star because all the focus is on you and your bridal party. I let the girls choose whatever color + style of dress they loved and felt comfortable in. They paired up in two's. 2-champagne's, 2-black florals, 2-dark greens, 2-light greens, 2-light grey's, sand colors but some different styles. They even have wedding rehearsal dresses, and flower girl dresses. Seriously, this color palate was completely made up within the hour we blocked out and it was PERFECT. The girls loved the convenience of the dressing rooms and fitting rooms being right there and able to all be done the same day. It was easier to have the girls order thru Bella, they gave me an extra 10% if you order 8 or more dresses. When the dresses were available for pick up, it was so nice and convenient to just go pick them up all at once for everyone. They come nice and neatly packaged, the sizes were perfect, I believe the only alterations my girls had to get was the hem (length) which was nice because they could customize it for any shoe they wanted to wear. My daughter Shelby and all 8 of her bridesmaids had a terrible experience at Bella Bridesmaids. The measurements for the bridesmaids dresses were all wrong then when we reached out they took no responsibility. We were desperate for the correct sizes so we re-ordered and the dresses when the dresses were delivered they were they wrong style. You wait a lifetime for your wedding and this experience has been stressful and totally unprofessional. I would not recommend this store to anyone. As the mother of the bride I am heartbroken for my daugther and the stress this put on her and her bridesmaids. read more

I tried to walk in just to see their selection and then I would schedule an appointment if I saw something I liked. I have never given a poor review, but this was an experience I am hoping to save other brides from. Very rude sales associates at this location. I originally went through the Grand Rapids location and they were wonderful, but the location closed. I needed one more dress for my other maid of Honor. On our way (we had an hour drive) to our 5pm appointment, traffic caused us to run late, so 10 min before the appointment I called to see if it was okay that we still come knowing we'd be 20 min late and only have 40 min to try on dresses. The lady on the phone was short and told us it was fine, but was very gruff about us being late. (Understandable, but should have been my first clue to cancel) We made it there and the lady acted most inconvenienced by us. My maid of Honor is pregnant, so we wanted to make sure we got her a dress that was flowy in the midsection. The lady rolled her eyes at every question. One being how measuring worked being that my maid of Honor would be 2 months post partum. She said, "she's not the first pregnant bridesmaid and certainly not the last, so we know how to measure." Again, rolling her eyes. She told us the price of the dress AFTER she ran the credit card which was $240. Granted my MoH still had to sign, so I was told after I called a week later (because I was still upset by the experience and wanted to try and cancel the order) that we could have canceled before she signed (how was I supposed to know that? She had already run her card through) There were so many times I wanted to run out but didn't want to be rude or embarrass my bridesmaid by me doing so. Highly do not recommend this location. I even talked to the owner and she also seemed inconvenienced to even talk to me about our experience and didn't seem to care that her associate was beyond rude. read more

I did not have a good experience at Bella bridesmaids - they were extremely pushy and the whole thing felt so rushed. I brought three of my friends with me to start trying on dresses and get a general idea of what color pallet I want for my wedding. We were assisted by a woman who did not introduce herself , and I explained to her that I wanted to do mismatched shades of rust/terracota and allow for my bridesmaids to pick dress styles within those guidelines that they love and feel comfortable in. We began the appointment trying to nail down the exact color pallet and fabric textures. I tried to explain that I don't exactly know what colors I want but I want my friends to find dresses they like, which could dictate what final colors we end up with. The woman helping us did not allow us to start looking at dresses on our own until we had our colors set. She kept asking me what color I wanted to "put each girl in" which rubbed me the wrong way because I tried to make it clear that my main goal is for my friends to feel comfortable and beautiful while still looking cohesive. We also were continuously made to feel stupid for not knowing exactly what the fabrics were called or what the colors were. Once we decided on colors, my friends were able to start looking at styles. Because now they were constrained by colors, their options were very limited. Each person was also not allowed to stray from their "assigned color" even though this appointment was meant to be an initial design consultation and getting a feel for dresses. Some colors had only 1 or 2 dress options in the store to try. The whole time it felt like they were just trying to make an immediate sale and didn't care about how our experience was going. Granted, our appointment was 4:30-5:30pm on a Friday, but the whole time it felt like we were being rushed out of the store. If they do not want to see customers on Friday evenings they should not make appointments at this time. The last major issue is the "size inclusivity" that Bella seems to preach. The friends I brought with me had a hard time finding dresses that they could actually try on because most of the dresses on the rack were very small sizes. My friends are not "plus size" but were just looking for slightly larger sizes than were available. They claim to have dresses in size 0-32, but there were hardly any dresses in larger sizes that we could try on. Overall, this experience was terrible and my friends and I left the store feeling disheartened and frustrated. The next day we went to David's bridal and had a much better experience. While the dresses at Bella were pretty, the customer service did not make it worth it. read more

I visited this location for two reasons, one to order a dress and two to set up my online account for ordering. I can say that I will never visit this location ever again due to the customer service. I work retail and I completely understand being busy- however I would never turn away a customer due to being "too busy". If someone is walking into my store, they are there for a reason and I would do everything I could to make them feel accommodated. This location doesn't seem to have the same train of thought. When I asked to try on the dress for a wedding I'm in (I even went and pulled it myself) I was told that I couldn't because all of the rooms were being used. So, I asked if I could be sized and once again was told no- they were too busy. I still cannot understand why I couldn't slip into a room for 3 minutes to try on a $300 dress before I ordered it OR even use a tape measure to measure myself? I even offered to wait for an opening and the woman working told me it would be 2+ hours..... TO TRY ON A DRESS?! so instead, I simply guessed my size, and hope for the best. I would HIGHLY suggest visiting another Bella location instead of having to deal with the unprofessional service here. read more

Decided to have my bridesmaids shop here because they carry Adrianna Papell dresses. I tried to book an appointment online for a month out. They responded a couple of days later that they had no availability for the Saturday I wanted, but was open the next Saturday. This email was around 9pm at night, so I waited until the next day to talk to my group about their availability. I emailed them to reserve the next week and they were already all booked up. Almost as if they only checked their email once a day. Luckily we joined their cancelation list so we were able to get our first date. The venue itself is very small and tight. Their dress selection was very unique. Just what I was looking for. However, these dresses were all around $200+ and no bigger than a size 8. My bridesmaids were very uncomfortable squeezing into smaller sizes. They also only have 4 dressing rooms so they had to share rooms or take turns. It was a cute shop, but hard to get into. Even the group that came often explained that they tried to book an appointment for that day and never heard back. read more

Only a couple weeks after getting engaged did I make my way back to Indy to just look around for bridesmaid dresses on a whim. I didn't have high expectations but was pleasantly surprised with the service I received right off the bat from the owner Kathleen, and store manager Melissa. Appointment not necessary, but def encouraged! They listened to everything I had in mind and meticulously wrote down some of the options I was considering. I told them I'd be back in a couple months with my maids to have them try on samples and they've been working closely with me ever since through email. I made an appointment with Bella bridesmaids a while ago and just went today, we made an appointment previously and had Lydia help us out she was fantastic but today, I had a group of 6 with me, when we arrived we immediately felt like they were rushing us a bit which is fine but a bit uncalled for since we did make an appointment. Lenie and Dina were the ones helping us try to find our girls dresses Lenie was very argumentative when it came to trying to find our budget and color pallets, my cousin mentioned liking the velvet dresses and Lenie was quick to jump and let us know that they started at 290 which was fine but the tone was very unprofessional. They never said really greeted us nor did they have any kind of communication about what styles or anything would be a good idea for us. My girls went back to try on, they came out and showed us a few one of my friends expressed that she was a certain size and that she wanted something flowy not tight fitting they kept giving her dresses that were too small which was clearly frustrating for my friend she ended up crying over this which is completely understandable for the way she was being treated, My mom mentioned that she thought Lydia had mentioned a payment plan the last time we came in, Lenie was quick to jump at my mother and snap she said "No we have never had a payment plan, we don't do anything of that kind" my mom was very respectful about it but Lenie was straight up rude she proceeded to tell my mom that there's only three ladies that work at the shop and that THEY trained her so there's no way she would've mentioned that, it was very uncalled for and embarrassing for my mom she was trying to be nice about it but Miss Lenie decided to be rude to us! The fact that Dina didn't step in and try to help the situation was a bit concerning considering she is the owner after all. When another one of my bridesmaids went to get her measurements she was asked what size she would like and my friend said a Medium Lenie proceeded to ask her if she was she she didn't need a Large or XL! Completely unprofessional, I do not recommend anyone to come to this store and support them whatsoever, they claim to be size inclusive but clearly judgemental and unprofessional, Lydia is a great employee and the first appointment we had was amazing with her! I can't say enough for Kathleen and Melissa at Bella! I walked in one day wanting to see the Amsale line of dresses for my daughter's wedding. Even after explaining the bride and most of the maids live in Chicago and would need to order through the Chicago location, Kathleen spent a great deal of time showing me dresses, colors and asking specific questions about the venue and style of the wedding and what would look best. Kathleen continued to answer any questions I have had. Today I brought in the bridesmaid from Indianapolis and Melissa couldn't have been more helpful in determining the right size to order. Again with full knowledge that we are ordering from the Chicago store. The dresses are exactly what my daughter envisioned! My only regret is that we couldn't order through Kathleen and Melissa. I cannot speak highly enough of Kathleen at Bella Bridesmaid. I ordered a dress from the store and when it got here it was a size too small. After frantically panicking for a few weeks, I called the store 18 days before the wedding and Kathleen could not have been more comforting, accommodating, and friendly. It just so happened that the store had the exact color and size dress in the store that I was looking for and they graciously offered to exchange sizes with me--they even paid for the shipping to get me the dress. When we hung up the phone, Kathleen texted me a picture of the dress to make sure it was the right one. I could have dreamed for better customer service, not to mention that the dress is gorgeous. My daughter and I went into Bella Bridesmaids this past weekend to check out the colors of a particular brand of dress. We met with Maggie who was very helpful to us. She was patient and even took a few samples of the dresses outside to see how they would look in natural/sunlight. Then she kindly displayed them on the mannequins so we could see them through the shopping window. She was very professional and courteous. My daughter was able to finalize her decision on the dress color. Bella Bridesmaids Indy was absolutely INCREDIBLE to work with, throughout the entire process. I found the bridesmaid dress process at Bella to be much more relaxing, enjoyable and streamlined than the one I had shopping for my wedding dress. Kathleen and her team did an excellent job accommodating the large group who came in to try on dresses and worked with me to find what I was looking for (same fabric, same color but different styles.) We found something that worked for each girl, and the staff were so patient while each girl tried on multiple dresses. They were also amazing to work with on the phone, which was so helpful for the bridesmaids who live out of town. When one of the bridesmaids had an issue with her dress, the Bella team helped her to re-order a different style a month out from the wedding and ensured it was ready in time. They made that process so easy, when it could have been stressful. Throughout the process, they were so communicative and helpful. I'm disappointed with the customer service at this store. After spending much of my afternoon on the phone trying to order a dress, I later found out that the dress was shipped to a different store location than I thought. No one explained to me where the dress was going to be shipped, and if they had, I would have asked for the dress to be shipped to the local store for pick up. When I explained the situation, and asked for them to cover shipping (as their communication was confusing and not explicit), they proceeded to argue with me, telling me that my experience was wrong. The shipping cost would have been $25 to cover, which is almost nothing for a store that sells dresses priced so high. Even when I tried to explain why this shipping cost was hard for us to cover financially, they minimized my words and continued to tell me how my experience was wrong. My previous experience in retail taught me the customer is always right, particularly over a small fee like this. They interacted the opposite of that. read more

This review should have been done in October of last year when we had our appointment but I am just now getting around to it. My bridesmaids are a variety of sizes so before making our appointment I specifically asked if they could accommodate all sizes and they said they could. I was excited for my girls to have an inclusive experience and had heard good things from where I had bought my dress about Bella's. The place was nice and they had some cute dresses but one of my bridesmaids couldn't even try stuff on or if she was able to she was very uncomfortable. I chose this place because I had heard horror stories of some other stores in the area but my bridesmaid ended up leaving feeling awkward and dejected. She wasn't able to try on the same dresses one of the other bridesmaids was able to try on so she ended up just giving up and said what she did try on made her feel like a "stuffed sausage" sad thing is, she wasn't even one of the bigger girls. We ended up getting our dresses somewhere else and were very unhappy with the whole experience at Bella's. read more

The ladies at Bella Bridesmaids Indy are very professional and genuinely love what they do. They kept me calm and confident that everything was going to work out. Six of my seven bridesmaids did not live in Indy but around the country. Each went into their local Bella Bridesmaids store and the Indy store collected all the information. Each bridesmaid picked out a different style of dress that was made in the fabric I selected. We also ordered straight ties for the groomsmen and bow ties for the groom and ring bearer. I was heart broken and then decided to start looking to buy one, my first stop was Bella. I went into Bella with a vision, I was a hard customer because of this. Bella did everything possible to help me get my dream DRESS for my 4 very differently shaped ladies. I finally decided on one after probably about 10 visits into the Bella shop each time with amazing support. I went into the store after work one day to place my order and pay. The owner must have seen the look on my face because she asked "everything okay Cara" I said "ya it will be I just feel like I am settling for a dress I dont love" she was NOT going to let me settle and we talked through EVEN MORE options and then I tried on this new Jim Hjelm dress they just got in. It must have been meant to be because I tried it on and LOVED it- the elegance, the length, the fit, the uniqueness , the class, everything about it was what I wanted except the color- I loved the dress SO much I actually changed the colors of my wedding from orchid to raspberry :) :) and was totally OKAY with that because it was a gorgeous color and a gorgeous dress. The dresses were a HUGE hit at the wedding and as timeless as I imagined from the beginning. I can honestly say Im said my wedding is over because I will miss my visits to Bella. I loved talking and looking with those ladies. They were beyond helpful and engaged with each customer. I also got my adorable flower girl dresses here which matched my gown perfect- silk taffeta! Lets face it bridesmaid dresses are EXPENSIVE and no matter how much we say "I picked one you can wear again" it is very uncommon to actually wear it again. I would definitely recommend Bella Bridesmaids! The shop is super cute with so much to offer! I spent forever trying to decide on the style of dress for my 13 bridesmaids! Then, once they helped me with that decision, they were extremely patient as I decided on the shade of pink I was picturing for my special day. I was so happy with their service with my bridesmaids, I chose to get my 5 flower girl dresses through them as well! Even with 4 girls/families being out of state, it wasn't an issue. I came here to start my hunt for bridesmaid dresses for my wedding next year. I only had my maid of honor with me. It was the first stop to look and we had the BEST time here. It is an appointment oriented place, which was nice so you weren't trying to shop around a busy, packed store or wait for assistance. When we got there we had to ring the doorbell (super cute touch) and they checked us in. They knew I was looking for gold, so they told us to go ahead and pick out dresses we liked and she would put them in the dressing room for us. It felt like we were shopping in a giant celebrity's walk-in-closet. It was such a blast because it was just the 2 of us with the business focused only on my needs. They also offered us a glass of champagne. Once I gathered a number of dresses My maid of honor went ahead and started trying them on with the help of Maggie. They let us take pictures and allowed us enough time and patience. My appointment was an hour long which was plenty of time. After we were about done they told me to give them a list of the dresses I liked the best, and she would give me the details of each dress in an email, (brand, pricing, etc.) I also get a 10% discount on the dresses since I have 8 bridesmaids! If I decide on a dress all I have to do is email or call them and they would take it from there. Seriously the cutest little, personable store. The other 2 ladies were Claire and Laura who were also a big help and answered all of our questions. I'm so glad I came to Bella Bridesmaids.
