I purchased a bridesmaid dress to wear at my City Hall wedding. I worked with Natalie and she was very helpful as I made my selection. The dress was promised to arrive in 3 months, which it did. I picked up the dress and tried it on at home. I immediately noticed a problem with the way the neckline fit. I had an alterations appointment a few days later with Jenny Kim (one of their recommended tailors). Jenny took one look at the dress on me and stated that top was measured incorrectly and she could not fix it without making substantial changes to the dress. I immediately contacted Bella Bridesmaid and explained the situation. Unfortunately, I did not have time to order a replacement or really deal with any "fix" from the manufacturer. To their credit, the manager at Bella authorized a full refund and it hit my account before I even returned the dress. I am upset, of course, but Bella only sold me the dress. The manufacturer is the one that delivered a defective dress (after 3 months). I appreciate the way they resolved the problem. read more

They helped me bring my vision of light, airy, and romantic feel into my bridesmaids dresses. I went with Hayley Paige dresses and they were absolutely stunning!!! My bridesmaids loved them and it was so easy for them to go try on. I had bridesmaids in Houston, Dallas, San Francisco, Austin, and Denver and they were all able to go and get measured so easily!!!! But other than that we were totally clueless. The girls at Bella spent so much time and energy bringing us dress after dress, never stopping until we had found the one! The dress we chose is absolutely beautiful, and the bridesmaids and I cannot be happier with our selection. This place is horrible. Their service is nonexistent. I went in 5 minutes before my appointment only to wait 15 minutes and then be told I only had 20 minutes left in my 30 minute appointment because THEY were running behind. They didn't have the only 2 dresses I liked from the selection to try on and told me I could order it anyway but they don't accept returns. A fellow bridesmaid for the same wedding went in and picked her dress and size. Apparently the two forms you sign aren't an order form and you are required to place the order online. They do not verbalize that in person, they just expect that you read the form. Brides and bridesmaids, you are better off going somewhere else like Nordstrom for example. Bear with me. This is going to be a long one. In theory, Bella Bridesmaids is a really great business concept. In practice, however, their execution and attention to detail just sucks a big one. Seriously, it's been six months since I've had to deal with them and it makes my blood boil even thinking about it. My husband and I got married earlier this summer, so when I started determining where to go for bridesmaid dresses, I really liked the idea that four out of five of the girls could go to a Bella Bridesmaid location in their respective cities (all over the U.S.) to be properly fit. They also have some of the best designers, when it comes to bridesmaid dresses, so it seemed like a win win. It was a damn disaster. First, the store is by appointment only, which has some distinct advantages. It meant that brides don't have to throw 'bows with other brides to find dresses and, it makes the process a lot more efficient. Get in, get out. The problem with this is that BB reserves Saturdays for new brides only, so if you're a bridesmaid that needs to go by for a fitting, better be ready to take a little time off work. (They're open Tuesday through Friday, 10 - 6.) Oh, they also won't fax fitting information between stores. (Seems like a small complaint, but after you've had to make an appointment, drive across town for a fitting and shell out +$200, the least they can do is fax a stupid form to their sister store.) See, each Bella Bridesmaid is independently owned, so they're in no hurry to help one another.... which really screws the customer. Still, all of the girls got in, were fitted and we got the dresses ordered. They all arrived right on time, but not a single one of them even came *close* to fitting properly. The designer we used was Simple Silhouettes, which provided very clear instructions on how the exact dress style we were buying should be sized. Because the measurement instructions were so specific, I felt confident that the girls would only have to get minor alterations. Forget it. The dresses were all so big on each of the girls that they literally fell to the floor, when they put them on. Thank heaven that the cut of the dress was very simple, because each of them had to be completely reconstructed to fit the girls. They looked fine, in the end, but I think it's BS that anyone should pay $250 for a dress and then pay another $50 to have it completely reconstructed. When I contacted Bella about the fitting issues, they invited us to make an appointment to come in, so that they could show us how to have them tailored, so that we could pass the information along to our tailor. (Mind you, we'd have to make that appointment for mid-week, since Saturday is only for new brides.) They wouldn't offer us any sort of discount, refund or credit for tailoring--absolutely nothing. If you're looking to use one of the designers that Bella carries and want to see it in person, consider making an appointment, but order it directly from the company. Now that my wedding is over, I'm thoroughly pleased with Bella Bridesmaid. Granted, I personally only had to go to the store once, and that was for my initial appointment with my MoH. The consultant was patient and very kind, as I had explained that I was coming from the hospital where my father had just undergone a heart transplant literally hours before. She was patient, even suggested a few styles and made our visit pleasant. Perhaps we went on a day that wasn't busy, but I certainly didn't feel rushed. I haven't spoken to my BMs about their experiences with getting their dresses, but they certainly would have expressed any displeasure had there been any. They we're aware that their dresses would need alterations and having a website/portal was very convenient in regards to staying on top of the ladies and their purchase. I even had a BM that would be very pregnant by my wedding day and she looked just as flawless as everyone else! They have dressesfor just about every price range, and I'm pleased with what I chose. Most of my ladies are already repurposing their dresses and love that it won't find a permanent home at the back of their closet...or their pile to toss out lol. I had such an amazing experience with Bella Bridesmaids! My friend recommended them who had also used them for her wedding! They have a wide variety of dress choices all within a reasonable price range! I had some bridesmaids who were local and some who were out of town, and they made it very easy for everyone to order and receive their dresses! I really liked that you could have your bridesmaids vote for which dress they liked best online to make the decision easier on me. Everyone loved their dresses and they photographed beautifully! I would highly advise against ordering dresses from this store. I hate to get into too much detail, but here's the bottom line: you will be paying a lot for a dress from here and are almost guaranteed have to get the dress altered at least in length if you are not tall. They measured me, I picked a size, then they told me the dress size I picked was three sizes too small, even though I insisted it would be fine because I know how dresses fit me. After I left they emailed, called me, called the bride, so after all that pressure I finally went up one size. Then the dress came in and SURPRISE! I had to pay $150 to get it altered a size down. Their regular size dresses are so insanely long. My dress pooled around my feet and I'm not THAT short...5'3" (5'4" is the average height for women, you know?). The other (many inches taller) bridesmaids had to get their dresses altered in length as well. My measurements hadn't changed in the 3 months since I ordered. For being a place that measures you for the dress, they sure seem to be off in matching the measurements to the dress sizes. The girls who work here may be nice, but I feel like they really did me a disservice by pressuring me too much into another dress size, and there's nothing I can do at this point. read more

My bridesmaids and I went twice for appointments, and everything seemed fine at first. All dresses were ordered on the same date (the date that their staff told us to order them). After not hearing anything for 3 months, I finally emailed to ask about at ETA on their arrival. They "magically" received them the next morning. So really, the dresses had been sitting there in a box for who knows how long, when they should have been getting necessary alterations done. They did not have the color of our dresses in store; only a swatch. All of my BMs are saying that the dresses are thin and see-through and if they wear anything under it, it is very visible. My MOH called them to seek advice and ask why the sample dresses in store are thicker and have more lining than the ones they got. MANAGER NATALIE instantly got defensive, yelled at her, and said that we knew exactly what we were getting because they're the exact same. She also called my MOH a liar and said that they have always had the color we got in store as a sample dress, when they did not have it either time we went. Great place to find a large assortment of bridesmaid dresses. I went during my lunch break one day (with an appointment). The store is upstairs in an old house. There are about 4 rooms or so. Two of those rooms are bordered with racks of bridesmaid dresses arranged by designer. They have Monique Lhuiller, Jim Hjelm, Joanna August, Bill Levkoff, and several more. You will definitely find the bridesmaid dress you need here- just be willing to pay a little more than you may have initially estimated. Bridesmaid dresses aren't cheap. You definitely need an appointment. A small group of ladies came to the shop and were politely turned away because they didn't have an appointment and they were booked that afternoon. A little over two years ago my bridesmaids and I went dress shopping and tried 3-4 different places. Bella was way above and beyond all the other options. The woman who helped us was so incredibly knowledgable about her inventory and knew exactly what I wanted despite my vague and awkward descriptions. Their selection was BEAUTIFUL and ordering was a breeze. I couldn't have asked for more. I am writing this review so late because we are going there today (this time I am the bridesmaid!) and I was on yelp looking up the address again. We picked Bella Bridesmaids specifically because of our experience with them last time. I saw the negative comments and felt they did not draw an accurate picture for any bride looking at dresses for her girls. I've been here twice to get bridesmaid dresses and felt like the stylists have always been super helpful and knowledgeable. I worked with Emily today, and she was absolutely amazing. I described to her what kind of dresses I was looking for and also brought in pictures. We came to Bella Bridesmaids to try on different bridesmaid dresses for an upcoming friend's wedding. Our appointment was at 9 am and our stylist had already picked out the samples of each dress for us to try on. The stylist measured us quickly and all three of us were able to try on the 4 dress options within 30 minutes. I was surprised and happy it took such a short amount of time! My one piece of advice would be that Bella Bridesmaids books weekends extremely fast so call to set up an appointment as soon as possible! read more

On the day I went to pick up the dresses after having spent a quite a bit of money I walk in and hardly get a greeting and *the girl tossed all 6 dresses at me and walked away and disappeared before I could even ask to take a look at the dresses I get home and Out of 6 dresses 3 were extremely big(like you could fit 2 of me inside my dress) (The person who assisted provided our measurements and size for our dress) we had to pay for alterations that came about the same amount of the dress. One had a defective zipper, Another dress had defects throughout the material looked like a cat had scratched the dress(that same dress fit the bridesmaid slightly loose) we requested since they were going to return the dress could they get us a size smaller they completely refused to do so. They took the dress back and said they would get back to us. We waited and after several attempts to get a response we decided to go to the building.(BY THE WAY THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE) On one occasion someone answered and we requested to speak to the manager or owner And the message was never delivered. When we arrived they provided us with every excuse they could think of and we watched them play the blame game. Meanwhile the girl who originally assisted us hid in the background and refused to show her face to even offer an apology for not having followed up. They swore they had sent e-mails and called and none of us had received anything we all stood in front of them checking our phones and nothing They made this the most stressful part of the entire wedding planning experience. This place is disgusting. They told my sister that only two guests were allowed due to covid precaution, but when we arrived there was a Party of 6-7 women all of whom were NOT WEARING MASKS!! My mom and I were fortunately both wearing real N95 masks, but we eventually asked the sales girl why this group was not wearing masks and her answer was that they request that but it is hard to enforce. This was in October 2020. And the sales girl who told me this was also wearing a mask that was falling below her nose, which means it was not effective. I reported them to the BBB and I hope that they are shut down because they should be. I'm sure that this ridiculous store has contributed to the spread of the virus and has probably causes deaths. read more

Terrible customer service experience and my dresses were not presented in good conditions. Not recommend for bridesmaids dresses

Bella Bridesmaid was the only place I even considered going to find my bridesmaid dresses! I worked with them twice before when I was a bridesmaid for my sister and sister-in-law, and both experiences were super easy and pleasant. For my sister-in-law's wedding, she chose a Lula Kate long dress, and the measurements were so spot on that the only alterations I had to have done were to the length, and it was a strapless dress, so you know it was an absolutely perfect fit up top! If a bride isn't pleased with the dresses because of sizing issues, that's not really a store issue; the problem there lies with the designer and their sizing chart. Again, for my sister's wedding, the only alterations I had to have made to a long Amsale dress were to the length. Lula Kate and Amsale are reputable designers, so perhaps that's why I didn't have any issues with sizing. The "saturday appointments for brides only" issue isn't that big of a deal. From the time you open the door to the time you're back in your car, your appointment literally takes you ten minutes to be measured. That's the benefit of having an appointment: there's no one else but you to take care of! So a weekday appointment in the 5 o'clock hour is not difficult to make happen. It simply might mean scooting out of work a little earlier than usual. If my high-power attorney sister-in-law can make it happen for my wedding, I think it's safe to say it's do-able. While the stores in each city are independently owned and won't necessarily work together, the only difference that makes is simply asking your bridesmaids in other cities to fill out a form and email it to the store from which you're ordering all their dresses. I actually prefer that because I like to have electronic records of my bigger purchases (i.e. bridesmaid dresses). The service is what makes this place stand out. Jessica (Houston store) remembered my sister-in-law when she walked in the door to help me pick out dresses, and their wedding was over a year and a half ago; she's probably had hundreds of girls come through her shop since my sister-in-law worked with her. Just an example of their service. I also received a hand-written thank-you note within a few days of my appointment. How southern and charming can you get? Not only that, but brides with larger bridal parties receive a discount on dresses. I'm having eleven (I know, yikes), but at least we were given a pretty sizable discount! Her reason was designers "clean house" in May and my choice and color may not be available. While this could be true, no one likes to be scared into buying something. Plus, if that happens, isn't that my problem? YES. How about telling us this and letting us decide? I also get they have a schedule and I can't take up all their time but after 30 min, if I had more questions, I could forget it. She suddenly became snooty and acted like she was doing me a favor. She also acted like she was trying to get me out the door...even though I was asking about jewelry b/c I thought maybe I could order that. Well, they told me the designer and due to them pushing me out the door, I'll be ordering right from the designer's site. And I can get coupons too! So I ended up picking the color but went home to give this all some thought. I just felt like I had been slimed when I left so I needed space to think. Although I loved that color, I really wanted my original choice...neutral cream. I just couldn't see the emerald for this. Out of courtesy (I hope they know, not everyone does this) I emailed my consultant telling her I decided to go elsewhere for a different dress. Instead of thanking me, she wrote me back wanting to know where I decided to go. This is none of her business. After that, I was totally turned off. I prefer a more relaxed approach to shopping. Wedding planning is stressful enough & don't need or appreciate pushy snoots. I would NEVER recommend this store to any bride/bridal party. I will preface this by saying that I've never left a bad review on any business, but the service at this store was APPALLING! When I visited the store I didn't have an appointment (my mistake) but we had drove an hour into town so we stopped anyway. The sale associate let us in the store to look at dresses since they are one of the few stores in Houston that carry Jenny Yoo. We found a dress we liked and since the store was COMPLETELY empty I asked if I could try it on. The associate said that since I didn't have an appointment I would have to come back another day (drive another hour to try on ONE dress). I then asked to speak to a manager to see if there was any way they would accomodate us and give us 10 minutes to try on ONE dress in a completely EMPTY store. The manager (Bria) came down from upstairs and I once again asked if we could please try on the dress to avoid driving another hour. Her response was a very RUDE no because we "didn't have an appointment" and all the associates had "tasks to complete upstairs." I even tried to explain to her that we live very far away, but she didn't seem to care to meet the needs of her customers. I've visited many bridal stores in Houston and other cities and have never had such a HORRIBLE experience as I had at Bella Bridesmaids. Went to several bridal places to try on bridesmaids dresses. This place had an ok selection but the racks had so many items that it was really hard to sift through them. We showed up for our appointment and were greeted warmly and just told to look through the racks for dresses we liked. We did find a couple to try but they didn't work. We even found some of the same dresses that BLDN had. The ones at Bella were more expensive. Over all, not a bad place to check out, but a huge contrast to BLDN. We ultimately went back to BLDN for our purchase of a bridesmaid dress and for the mother of the bride dress. More styles, choices and better set up. She picked out multiple dresses for us based on the style I wanted and we were able to select dresses to try on as well. She was very patient with the 40+ dresses we tried on. The ladies at Bella Bridesmaid in Houston are so easy to work with and a great one-stop-shop to start (and likely end) your search with getting one-on-one help seeing many designers rather than going all around town and sorting through racks without help. Majority of my clients have found their bridesmaid dresses there and those that haven't, is because they were looking for a different price point or for something specific that they simply didn't carry. There is always a method to the madness in how every business runs things and the way they do things over there is for a reason. I should have read the reviews before visiting this place. I ordered four infinity dresses for the bridesmaids of my wedding. First I was promised we had plenty of time to receive them before my wedding. Then I get a call from Bella Bridesmaids saying they have to RUSH ship my order to assure that it will be here on time. The dresses came in a week later than the time on our contract and then I take them to their preferred alterations place and the dresses will not be ready in time for my wedding now. Despite that we are still 3 weeks out from my wedding. They also talked me into paying an additional $30 for extra length on one of the dresses for a taller bridesmaid to be safe. After receiving the dresses I am now going to have to cut off that entire extra length that I paid $30 for because they told me wrong. This company has screwed me over and only added to the stress. I would not recommend them to anyone. Please save yourself the stress, time, and expense of dealing with such an unorganized company. read more

I called on a Monday to set up an appointment. I was told that during the week they take their last one of the day at 5pm, which is perfect for me so we scheduled me to come in on Thursday. I left work a bit early so I could make it in time. I had one particular dress in mind, but was unsure if it would work. Hence why I wanted to try it on. They had it ready for me when I arrived, but like I suspected it did not work so I started browsing for others. At this point I could tell that the associate seemed a bit flustered and scattered. She listened to a few of my wants, pulled maybe 2-3 dresses and rushed me to try them on as quickly as possible. She then informed me that I would need to leave at 5:30 because they had another appointment coming in. I thought their last one of the day was 5pm? She said I could come back for a second appointment (which isn't feasible for me as I live 45 minutes away). Then she said if I wanted to get one of the ones I had tried on, to fill out a form she gave me and just scan it back. We never discussed size, or tailoring, or even how long the dresses would take to get here, but somehow we are at the point of buying? Which in full disclosure I planned to buy one, given the proper time to actually find a dress. All in all it was a ridiculous and wasteful experience and I won't be back. read more

The ladies are really sweet and service was fine. They were able to give me a 10% discount with the dresses because i bought all of them. They followed up with me often when I did not respond in time. The only reason why i did not give them 5 stars is that: 1. Its expensive, it came out to be $260 each with taxes and rush fee. 2. One of the dresses (one shoulder strap off the shoulder dress) I was told they had spoken to the dress company and they can make it on the shoulder vs off the shoulder. So when i ordered it they said the couldn't do it. It bugged me so much because I went there at least 3 times and I said OUTLOUD that the company said they can make it on the shoulder and none of the girls from the store inform me that I was wrong. So my girls are going to have to spend money to make the strap on the shoulder. I think I would have been ok if I was told ahead of time that they could not and chosen something else. I felt the store just said that at the beginning to get my business and it was too late for me to find another shop. I was thinking about baking macarons for them as a way to say thank you but after that I am not going to. Like I said, they were very sweet. My advice is just stay on top of everything and you will probably get a 5 star experience. read more

In the wake of a huge bridal store going bankrupt, you'd think they'd be trying to get all of the business of the brides/bridesmaids that were affected. My bride only needed to see fabric swatches and they were very unhelpful!! It was a Saturday but still! She did not need a full appointment for that and did not even need to try on bridesmaid dresses. Most times it's just all in how you say things and how you treat people. Terrible terrible terrible dress quality !! And even WORSE customer service !!! . Horrible experience wouldn't wish it upon any new bride to be . It was my first time being a brides maid and I was very excited ..that was until we decided to purchase from bella bridesmaids . Disclaimer ( once you actually pay for the dresses they no longer go above and beyond for you !) you are constantly stuck playing phone tag and the staff honestly could care less , they also really love to play the blame game . The measurements taken were wrong ! Half of the bridal party's dresses were 2 sizes too big , we had dresses arrive with broken zippers and tears up and down one of the dresses. The whole experience was a nightmare. And to top it off managers are as unprofessional as the staff .. and when mistakes are made on their end you are greeted with back handed apologizes . Also their favorite line in the store is ( will call u on Tuesday ) however Tuesday never comes . For dresses that come from overseas they are very overpriced,and have very cheap fragile material. The experience is much like ordering from the wish app (an app where you can order from overseas for very cheap but have to wait a long time to get your product, and it usually comes back very cheap looking and either too big or too small) except here you pay way more money for your dress, also don't forget the amount of money you pay for alterations. My dress came in with snags in the fabric all over it, and had these breast cups sown in the dress that bulge out when worn that I do not remember being in the store sample. Employees at Bella's noticed the snags and had my dress sent back for a new one. This brings in my next issue, since my dress was being sent in to be replaced, I requested a smaller size, they expressed that my requested would probably not be allowed by the "designer" and I was understanding of that. My issue is when I expressed that I wanted a smaller size the employee that was attending to me, kept insisting that I did not need a smaller size, all of the other bridesmaids agreed with me and it upset me because if I am paying for this dress give me what I am asking for. I even tried on the smaller size of the dress in the store and it fit perfect but the employee kept saying "store samples are stretched out", they have tons of dresses in the store I doubt that many people tried on the dress for it to be soo stretched out. The employee said she would put in my request for a smaller size but when the whole bridal party got an email update on the status of our dresses, they wrote and I quote "Daisey's dress fit perfect". This upsets me even now thinking about it, it makes me believe that they never even requested a smaller size like I (the paying customer)wanted. Worst experience ever! My bridesmaid dress arrived with two layers of slip (not one like the dress I tried on in the store). The straps were not sewed on properly, and the chiffon is not attached evenly to the slip. Another girl in the bridal party said her zipper isn't sewed on properly. This is the worst dress I've ever seen. I will need to have it completely taken apart. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Haley at Bella Bridesmaid was a big help to me when I was searching for a bridesmaid dress. They carry some great designers but with good designers, you can expect a price to g with it. I'm not sure why there are so many negative comments on here because I had a great experience during my short time there. Although I was unable to actually get a dress from them (the wedding that I am in is too close), she pointed me in the right direction to get the dress that I was looking for elsewhere. You can definitely tell that this is a business who genuinely cares about people, rather than just making the sale. I would recommend Haley and Bella to anyone who is looking for their bridesmaid dresses. It is such a cute shop! read more

I was recently in a wedding where we got the dresses through Bella Bridesmaid, and the dresses fit perfectly and everyone LOVED them! Firstly, making an appointment was a breeze. I called and talked to Jessica, who was able to accommodate the bride's crazy work schedule. My friend had chosen Amsale dresses for her wedding, and the other bridesmaids and I were tasked with finding different cuts that looked wonderful on us. There were six of us, so I was a little skeptical that we would all get to pick the one we wanted. Two of the bridesmaids were out of town (one out of the country), but the other four of us were able to go to the Houston location to try on a variety of dresses. We each found one that we wanted and were able to place orders with follow-up appointments. The two out-of-town bridesmaids were able to find dresses that they liked online and order sizes using the sizing chart. (We tried on some of the ones they were interested in and sent pictures as well.) I personally thought it was a little weird that you have to order dresses so early, but I'm really, really glad we did because two of our dresses were discontinued after we ordered them. I loved my dress, and I think that discontinuing it was a mistake... but whatever. Also, I know that a few bridesmaids were a little hesitant to order the sizes on the chart, but I followed Natalie's instructions and needed no alterations, so I have no complaints. Don't expect to be the same size you are with normal clothing. You'll just be ticked off. When the bride was getting her dress altered, we saw a woman who had ordered a dress that was too small, and you don't want to be that girl... Bella Bridesmaid had a really fun selection of dresses for my friends' wedding! I'll admit that the dresses are expensive, but I think that's the way it is with most dresses associated with weddings. To make your appointment more effective, I would look at the colors and have a general idea of what you're looking for. If I'd walked into that store without any direction, the other bridesmaids and I would have been dragging the bride in 50 different directions. They don't have every dress in every available color in the store for you to try on, but it's still enough to keep you plenty occupied. (Plus, if you let them know what you're looking for beforehand, they'll pull dresses before you get there.) Overall, it was the best bridesmaid's dress experience I've had thus far! I visited Bella Bridesmaids with a co-worker and one of her bridesmaids a couple Saturdays ago. While I'm not in the wedding, she asked me to tag along since we've recently become good friends and most of her bridesmaids live out of town, she wanted another opinion. What a darling little boutique this place is, it's exactly the kind of place I was looking into when I got married 4 years ago (in Chicago), a real boutique experience where there aren't a ton of people everywhere pulling workers away with questions, you get all the attention you need here. It also helps that it's by appointment only, I'm sure it's a little frustrating to some people who want to walk up and browse and ask questions, but come appointment time, it's worth it, there's no waiving a sales person back over who wandered off to help someone else. Our sales girl was Natalie, who also recently took over as the store's new manager and owner (hands on!). She was SO SWEET and knowledgeable about all the dresses and designers we were looking at. I was chatting with her quite a bit about their recent take over and how they are working to get this place turned around, it's my understanding the previous management was not so great... I hope people can look past the current mediocre rating because Natalie and the other sales girl were doing such a good job. Anyway, the visit was a success as my co-worker and her bridesmaid picked out a long blush lace dress, it was soooooooooo pretty, I cannot wait for the wedding and the pictures!! read more
