It's been 10 years since my original review .I gave them another shot about 3 years ago....I have really enjoyed eating here especially in the Luna lounge, Mandy is the best bar tender and their food is delicious.

    A lotta latte.

We used to eat breakfast at Bella Bru Cafe regularly. Service is always quick and ingredients top notch. The thick bacon, eggs over easy, thick cut artisan sourdough often makes this local stop worth it. If you enjoy bell peppers in your breakfast potatoes, this place is for you. A nice selection of pasties on hand. They make a good latte as well.

My friend and I had a quick lady date Friday evening to catch up and we chose Bella Bru based on the location and ambiance. We were there in time to catch the last few minutes of their happy hour. The happy hour menu features discounts on wine, beer and a few bites. We sat at a comfy booth near the door. Our server was friendly and efficient coming around at just the perfect time. The gentlemen that dropped off our food as also great, offering us extra plates for sharing our dish. I ordered the cab off the happy hour menu. It hit the spot. My friend and I shared the fire roasted artichoke which was cooked perfectly, with a little char just how we like it. The aioli dipping sauce was very flavorful and the perfect compliment. The bread and butter were nice too. Great place to meet up with a friend or a mellow date night. If you're around when they have their quiche make sure you order it as it's to die for!

Never a fan of writing unpleasant reviews but I must say what a letdown I experienced from this location and to top it off, it was for my birthday. My girlfriend knows how much I love their tiramisu cake slices, so she decided to put in an order for a whole sheet! When I tell you guys, I was looking forward to this for weeks... just to receive this Tiramisu cake which is NOTHING compared to their in store which I've had multiple times. The cake usually comes pre sliced, with less topping and bigger portions as well. Overall, unhappy with the product and will most likely not be back to repurchase. The flavor wasn't same nor the texture, a complete let down.

Good place! No complaints. I got the salmon toast and it was pretty small and something you can definitely make from the grocery store, but it hit the spot! Another standard breakfast place with good coffee too, so I'd come back probably!

So glad my friend recommended we come here. Very spacious restaurant with tasty food. The restaurant is clean, calm, and very nicely decorated. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. The music playing was perfect for the mood and overall the atmosphere was relaxing. Food wise it was tasty! I got the Alfredo pasta with chicken and a spicy watermelon margarita. The drink was good and the pasta was filling. We also tried the pecan pie, sweet and a nice dessert! Would come back to try other things.

Solely based on food, since my hubby brought back lunch for me at home. There were many items that caught my eye, but when it came to the sandwiches anything pesto is always welcome in my book ;) If there is one thing you must order from the lunch menu it's the following item: Turkey Tuscano - it has delicious roasted turkey, fresh avocado, tomatoes, lettuce, red onions, yummy provolone, creamy pesto mayo on a perfectly toasted multigrain bread. Not only is this sammie delicious but it's filling, without leaving you feel overfull! I paired my Sammie with French fries that were fried to perfecccccction! Okay, it's almost lunch time so be sure to order that Turkey Tuscano!

Stopped by Bella Bru recently and was pleasantly surprised! The ambience is great--relaxed, clean, and with just the right mix of cozy and modern. It's the kind of place you can settle into whether you're meeting a friend or just grabbing a solo bite. I had the breakfast burrito, and it definitely hit the spot. Well-seasoned, hearty, and wrapped just right--not greasy or overly stuffed like some places tend to do. You can tell they use fresh ingredients. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the outside umbrellas and tables looked rearranged and not put back so kind of scattered when finding a spot to sit outside. Would definitely come back!

Here is my two cents on the quality quantity and taste of my order. I picked up an order three bagels . They were California bagels. not New York style. Each bagel was fresh, but not so tasty . The one for onions and garlic, was more mild than should've been.. What I was really unhappy with they only gave 1 ounce of cream cheese for each bagel . 1 ounce was merely a Schmeer that would cover each side of the bagel . They should have provided 2 to 4 ounces to fully cover and taste the flavor of the cream cheese. As you shall see on the photos below . Service was adequate .

This place is simply the greatest all around restaurant in Carmichael. I have absolutely no clue what the negative reviews on this place are talking about. The service is exceptional, the coffee is amazing and the food is fresh and always incredibly good. There isn't a bad thing on the menu and it is consistent across many years for us at this point. We've been eating here for 15 years and never once had a bad experience or had food we wouldn't order again. My favorites are the artichoke, their burger, their club sandwich, their Cobb salad, and just about anything they have in special. 10/10 would recommend. My wife had a procedure today and when she came out of anesthesia after not eating for 36 hours BELLA BRU CAFE was the place she requested to go.

They have Sunday fun day all you can happy hour all day. . After 7pm on a Sunday they close the main dining room and open the patio and bar area. I was like what??? . Back patio - so classy, simple, fancy and such a good time to have some happy hour pizza and appetizers with friends and just catch up. . We had the mushroom pizza which was a good sharing with 4 people, so 1 PC per person was perfect on a hot day which we weren't too hungry. . The chicken arugula spinach salad with goat cheese was a special we had and found it light and refreshing on a warm evening. . Overall the service was great. I would come back and enjoy some more days in the patio here. The vibe was so relaxing. Oh and the teramisu looked so good! I think I need to come back for that slice of cake. Since I did skip it that day to he good. Hope this review helps and thanks for reading. Have a yelptastic day.

I mentioned Fair Oaks Brew Pub as an option I found on Yelp &, as a local, he said it was a great choice. We almost immediately scored street parking only a few doors down. I'd never been to Old Fair Oaks Village before. Looking around, the little town center was more reminiscent of a historic gold country town up in the foothills than Sacramento suburban sprawl. The cutesy charm of the surroundings extended to Fair Oaks Brew Pub itself. Greeted as soon as we walked up, we chose to sit out in their inviting patio area on a perfect Spring day. Our server was along shortly. She was friendly, helpful, & the right amount of attentive. For brew pub fare, we both chose the Risky Burger. Essentially a Western bacon BBQ variation of their regular cheeseburger. Sides were upgraded to onion rings. For the brew, I got their Chicken Foot Pale Ale. Everything was up before long. The Risky Burger was outstanding. Crispy bacon, tasty onion rings (in the burger, as well as on the side), gooey melted cheese, & a perfectly cooked patty just juicy enough to turn the last bite or 2 of the whole burger into a bit of a mess. The Chicken Foot Pale Ale was decent for style, though a little old school in terms of recipe/ malts/ hops. Still, a refreshing pairing for the Risky Burger. All in all, Fair Oaks Brew Pub was a great spot to grab a bite & a beer in an unexpectedly scenic pocket of suburbia.

I met a couple of friends after work today and realized I hadn't been here in a few years. The restaurant wasn't very busy when I arrived. My friends had already ordered, and it still took about 15 minutes before anyone came over to our table. We wanted to switch to a lower table, and the server seemed confused by the request even though we only moved two tables away. I had to ask for a menu and ask for water. My friends requested more wasabi and soy sauce, but it never arrived, even after their next rolls came out. The server disappeared so quickly they didn't have a chance to remind them, and one of my friends eventually had to get up and track someone down. On the positive side, I ordered the blue cheese and potato pizza, and it was actually pretty good. What struck me most was that the servers all looked like they hated being there. It's unfortunate because this place has a beautiful building, a great menu, and an excellent beer selection. Unfortunately, I've never felt the service matched the rest of the experience. Will I be back? Maybe. But I won't be rushing back. Eating out is expensive these days, and I'd rather support places where I don't feel like I'm inconveniencing the staff simply by being there.

This time started off a little rough, but in the end they made it right, which is why I'm writing this review. I placed a to-go order for steak, shrimp, and chicken fajitas. The order was repeated back to me correctly when I called it in. When I arrived to pick it up, the restaurant was extremely busy and the staff was clearly focused on serving the diners inside first, so my order took about an extra 25 minutes. Not ideal, but understandable given how packed the restaurant was. Unfortunately, when we got home and opened the bag, the fajitas only contained steak -- there was no chicken or shrimp included. I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager to explain what happened. At first there was some back-and-forth about possible solutions, including bringing the food back or only replacing part of the order. My husband had already started eating because he was hungry, so returning the food wasn't really practical. To the manager's credit, she took the situation seriously and actually called the owner at home to explain what had happened. Shortly afterward she called me back and let me know the owner approved remaking the entire order correctly at no additional cost. That completely changed the experience. For me, good customer service isn't about the money -- it's about making things right when a mistake happens. Once they stepped in and corrected the situation, it showed they value their customers and their reputation. Mistakes happen at every restaurant, especially when things are busy. What matters is how a business responds. Cantina Azteca ultimately did the right thing, and because of that we will absolutely continue to come back. Thank you to the manager and owner for making it right.
