    The pizza menu.

My wife was working the late shift at the Rite Aid on Vermont Ave in LA. She had a craving for pizza. I got there early to survey the pizza place in surrounding area. What popped up about a mile away was Bella Luna Pizza on Hillhurst. When I look at the place on Apple map, I noticed it was a mobile pizza oven. One of the picture showed cash only. I ordered a 12" pepperoni pizza. The pizza crust, sauce and cheese were great. The pepperoni was a bit salty. Overall, it was a great pie. DJ's rating 4.40/5.00 Would I come back? Yes to try the other pizzas.

Hands down some of the best pizza I've had, and it's from a food truck! Keep in mind he does have a wood fire oven in his trailer. The pizza is perfect. Crust is flavorful and chewy and an undercarriage to die for. I couldn't believe that insanely good pizza could from a food truck... well, it's a food trailer. I'm fairly certain if you try them you'll be back. We've already been there 2 times and we eat the pizza in the car. You should not take your pizza anywhere. Eat here! Your pizza is dying the, longer it stays in the box. Must eat fresh. Service is always great and the chef is very nice. If I want a pizza, I'm going to wait till I can come here! A++++!

Had to have a slice first and then thought about pictures.

They say a bumble bee should not be able to fly, but the bumble bee doesn't read, it flies. Assumption is a 60 square foot kitchen on wheels shouldn't be able to hand you a michelin star class pizza, but apparently the owner of this truck doesn't bother with the rating guide, he just makes pizza. In my opinion As good of a pizza as you can get. I was in that side of town and looked up for a place that's open and ended up here. I was a bit shocked to see there is an actual wood burning oven inside the trailer. I have no idea how the fire department worked that out, but perhaps they've tried the pizza and gave in. I looked at the menu and got the first two on the list. Margarita and pepperoni pizza. After 10 minutes, I got my box. Opened it, took one bite and I had to pick up my jaw from the floor. I could not believe the quality of the pizza. The crust is thin, very well cooked, and very tasty. Not sure what kind of flour he's using, I have a feeling it would be the 00 from Italy, or some other magical flour he has found. The edges are light and cooked well. The cheese is indeed high quality. The pepperoni is the small packed with flavor moist. And on the margarit the basil had full taste of basil, as it was some home grown version. This is the kind of pizza I would expect in a 3 star restaurant, and I would pay $60 for it, when served on a nice plate. Of course I enjoyed it as much out of the box. I will certainly put this place on top of my favorite pizza spots, not just in LA, but in the country. Do not miss it. And take cash with you, they are cash only.

Fresh pizza on fire! You gotta eat this pizza fresh as soon as you get your order! Parked right outside by the Albertsons plaza, we arrived on a recent Saturday night around 8pm. We ordered: Estrella Star Shaped with fontal, mozzarella, bufala, ricotta, sasauge, spinach, and cherry tomatoes. Each corner of the star shaped is stuffed with ricotta cheese, so delicious! Half Hawaiian and Half Shrimp Pesto - We couldn't decide on the 2nd one and it was no problem getting it half and half. These wood oven pizza is thin and light, and the dough is soft and chewy. They have couple small tables by the truck to enjoy your pizza, but it was a windy night so we just ate in the car with Netflix on the screen. It was a perfect dinner and love supporting small business!

Always parked on Hillhurst in front of the Albertson's parking lot, the owner(s) of Bella Luna are so nice and always serve up amazing pizza with other authentic Italian options. Their margarita is my go-to order. Personal pizza is about 7-8 slices. Good enough to fill you up! I think they have a couple of tables some nights on the sidewalk but also a good takeout spot! Top pizza choice in Los Feliz.

Prosciutto parma pizza is so good. You guys really need to come check this spot out. Sadly, I took my pizza home so I wasn't able to enjoy at the peak of freshness, but it is still really delicious. The most important part of a pizza is the crust, and this crust is crispy and packs a lot of flavor from the wood fire pizza oven. I love the fact they incorporated an actual pizza oven which really boosts the quality of a pizza. Service was really great, guys were very friendly and even brought my pizza out to me. The truck is located right outside of the Albertsons parking lot. Cash is preferred, but they also accept payment via Venmo and Zelle. Will definitely be returning for more, would definitely be a great late night eat after a night of drinking with friends. Support this food truck

My boyfriend and I enjoyed this pizza truck so much!!! Wanted to try something new and we decided to come try this place. We wanted to try one pizza first to see how it comes out and it was phenomenal! The Estrella was my favorite because the crust has ricotta cheese and the cherry tomatoes were perfectly juicy ! We were fat and got a second pizza, the prosciutto and burrata pizza. Very good pizza as well, but I personally preferred the Estrella! It is a must try! The two men were super nice and friendly as well! We are coming back !

Skip the ambiance. This is a food truck but it's the best pizza in LA. They're all 12 inch so you'll need one for everybody

Hard to find a place doing it this good. This is my 8th LA smash burger and it's definitely a top three contender! The ratios were on point. The lemon pepper fries were killer. GREAT home made pickles on the burger to offset the rich patty and cheese. The service was TOP tier. Took a little longer than most, but tasted better than most! So pick your poison! Great outdoor seating in a bar next door with its own brewery. They have a deal going so you can use that place. Sat in a cool outdoor patio area with fake grass and a nice fence. Nice shade. Really enjoyed the first experience and so when I saw the truck again today after an early morning walk in Descanso Gardens, I stopped again to get their empanadas. This visit confirmed my initial impression which was/is that the empanadas from La Puna are "fantastic"!! I ordered four empanadas, the corn and spinach, as well as their chicken. Also ordered one called the Arabe. All four were superb!! The corn empanada was a combination of sweet, salty, and creamy. This was the result of using good quality corn and a combination of both cream and either jack or cotija cheese. The spinach empanada was equally delicious. It had a unique taste profile prompted by the really smart use of a hint of nutmeg. The combination of spinach and the nutmeg, along with whatever they included, have the final product a "wow" factor. Chicken empanada was slightly smokey and very flavorful, and the "Arabe" was a wonderful combination of ground beef, onion, red bell peppers, with spices that offered a distinctly Moroccan taste. Really outstanding. The thing that tied all these different empanadas together was the dough they use to make them. It was firm while still light and flaky with a mouth feel that was soft but not mushy. It was the perfect compliment to the filling. Like eating a really, really good pie where the filling and the crust are harmonious. The food offered by La Puna Empanadas reflects attention to detail, the use of really good product, and most importantly pride in their Argentinian culture and it's food. If you enjoy empanadas or are curious about them, I encourage you to try those offered by La Puna for all the reasons I've outlined here. One final note, the women who own and run the truck are very nice people whose passion for what they do is evident in every bite of their food. !!!

I drove for a few seconds around the corner and parked on the street and walked over to the Verdugo Dairy lot which is where the Nickos Sandwich Truck is located. The truck is so cute and small and fits perfectly in the lot without taking up too much space. I looked at the menu and honestly all the sandwiches looked so good that it was hard to just choose one, but I wanted breakfast so I went with the Plain Breakfast Sandwich. I was asked how I want my egg cooked and I chose sunny side up. Options for cheese were swiss or provolone and I couldn't decide and I was able to get a slice of both on my sandwich! I also ordered a bread pudding on the side. After ordering I was given a little buzzer that would go off when my food is ready. I hung out and didn't wait too long until my buzzer went off and it was a nice loud beeping that would be easy to hear if I had left it in my pocket. After the food is ready then you pay. When I went back to my car and I couldn't help myself I ripped open the bag and I was in awe of my sandwich. Look at my photos, do you see that melty stretch of cheese that is so perfect??????????? The brioche bun is soft and fluffy, the egg seasoned with salt and pepper perfectly and cooked to perfection, and the cheese is stretchy and gooey and so delicious. Was I licking the wrapper when I was done? Maybe! If I could give more than 5 stars for my sandwich I would! I love me a banana pudding and I thought I was going to wait to eat it at home, however I could not control myself I popped it open and I gobbled it down. So creamy and delicious with just the right amount of crumbled nilla wafers. I am not in Glendale too often, but you can bet that when I am, I'll be stopping by again!
