What a great little neighborhood diner. The menu is huge, the service is really friendly, and the feel and ambiance is great. I had the brisket quesadilla from the happy hour menu. It was pretty good. They served with sour cream, guacamole, and their own hot sauce, but i really liked that they had all the other major brand hot sauces as well. The vegetarian menu is pretty good as well. I'd rate the food as just 3.5. but add all the rest of the coolness and I give it a 5. I just wish I lived closer so I could come more often. read more

What a surprising delight! As the only Vegan in my social groups, it's not easy to find great restaurants that offer quality and tasty Vegan options. Fred 62 offers several delicious, quality Vegan MILKSHAKES and meals: from falafels, omelets, pancakes, burritos, to chilaquiles, milkshakes, beer, and burgers. It's a diner filled with friendly servers. I chose to order Katie's Burrito with green salsa: vegan sausage, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, avocado, and genius choices in flavoring. Can't believe I haven't reviewed still! Fred's is one of the best Americana diners in LA. I am convinced, and after you see and try their gigantic menu, and delicious food you will too. The portions are huge, the place is cute as all get out, and there's almost always seating. They have options for literally every dietary need, for an LA affordable price and quick service. Everyone is so kind and you can tell the place runs like the staple it is. The only downside is sides: there's only paid or street parking which gets crazy for Los Feliz. And I don't believe the bathroom would be accessible for a wheelchair user due to a narrow door. While it doesn't personally affect me, I could see it being an issue for anyone not in a compact chair or able to transfer/walk a few steps. You are however still able to get inside the restaurant and sit on the patio otherwise. Overall I highly recommend if you can! read more

It was a classic diner experience - a very extensive menu with decent tasting food. It was open very late on a weekday which is perfect because my starving pig boyfriend gets hungry late at night. For the value and taste, you're honestly better off getting a Costco hot dog and making your own butter pasta because this pasta was overcooked and the pasta shape they used was odd. I'd come back to give the milkshakes a try and maybe focus more on the breakfast menu. However, the service was remarkably slow to the point that we had to get up and walk to the other side to find a waiter to pay. Got late night diner cravings after a concert in the area and decided to give this place a shot! With the bright neon lights and the 80s theme, it was kinda hard to miss on our way over! Surprisingly, we weren't the only ones hungry at 12am and the restaurant was full! We were able to nab some seats after 10 minutes and our waiter Mario really helped us make our final decisions on entrees. The food came out and being quite starved, we scarfed down the food with pleasure. The burger bun was an interesting choice for the smash burger but overall the meal was okay.
