CACIO E PEPE PIZZA and pepperoni basil

10/10 stars across the board. The Cacio e pepe pizza is to die for. Ricotta dollops on top make it so creamy and delicious without it being so over the top cheesy and rich. It doesn't leave your mind once trying.

One of the best happy hours around! Weekdays 4-6pm, half off Margaritas (the drink) and Margheritas (the pizza), 25% off antipasti, and half off beer and glasses of wine. You truly cannot beat it in LA. On top of that, all day Wednesdays, they offer half off bottles of wine. The pizza is truly incredible. So fresh and delicious. The inside space is a nice, calm vibe. Good for dates, families, etc. No outdoor seating. They also offer a rewards program for frequent customers. Parking can be tricky, as this location is directly on Sunset, but there are residential streets up and around the corner, just a short walk away.

The food at this place was amazing. The pizza was the closest tasting thing I've had in the US to authentic Italian pizza. From 4-6pm they have happy hour and as a part of that, all margarita pizzas are half off. It works out as a really affordable night out. The service was really nice. Due to it being only a small restaurant the staff were very on top of everything and got everything to the table at a good pace. The overall restaurant ambiance was awesome. It was cosy and relaxing. As for parking, there's paid street parking in front of the restaurant or if you go down the right before the restaurant there is free street parking after 5pm in front of the church/school.

We came on a Saturday night and didn't have trouble getting seats, although it was definitely crowded. We shared the margarita and vodka pizza. Both were good, but the margarita was the best of the two. As far as LA pizza goes I'm not sure this place really stands out, it's right smack in the middle of all the other pizza places I've been to. You can tell the ingredients are fresh though. I think I'd need to come back and try some other items to judge. The prices are decent. The tiramisu was great!

Our go to pizza spot in silver lake. Always no frills, fast service, amazing food. Our go to order is their pepperoni pizza, their Cesar salad, and a glass of Prosecco. Always hits the spot. Pizza has amazing crust and high quality ingredients, perfect for a weekday meal out when you don't feel like cooking.

Pizza Steel resolved all my woes. 550F preheated for at least 1hour Pizza Steel on second rack Let pizzas come to room temp ~2 minutes 20 seconds (best to observe through the oven window) Will test further with direct from frozen for even fluffier crust. But this is already light years ahead of any of my reheating attempts previously with the fewest tradeoffs and compromises. Only down side is that you have to eat it quickly. Even 5 minutes later is night and day.

Wowowow had this Doordash'd last week and it's now going to be one of my top pizza rotations! Ingredients tasted fresh, great sauce to cheese ratio and the dough was perfectly cooked. I will say, we ordered the spinaci pizza and added pepperoni and it was very oily. I would probably try a different combo next time but it still SLAPPED! We ordered 2 pizzas and salad for 2 (hungry) people because we werent sure how big they would be. turns out we had plenty for both of us plus leftovers. Can't wait to explore more of this menu!

Another great dinner! Always happy with the food and the chill vibes. The service was fine. Maybe a bit understaffed, not sure. Had to ask for things several times, whatever. We had a great time. The Corbarina squash blossom pizza was excellent. Absolutely loved the Rucola salad. We also had the cauliflower app and the Calzone which were both pretty good. Everyone should join the Pizza Club, you get a free pizza every month costs nothing to join. Fantastic and generous perk. We shared a nice piece of complimentary chocolate cake for the birthday friend. Such a pleasant lovely room. Really well run restaurant.

The best bargain in Los Angeles: @pizzana 's Cacio Club. You sign up (for free) and get a free pizza a MONTH and $5 Aperol Spritzes and Margaritas. $25 min purchase required which, of course, is nothing!!! @juicy_bagel and I went before our night at the Ahmanson last week and had an aperol spritz, margarita, focaccia (literally, to die for bread), the Rucola salad (ARUGULA, SPINACH, SHAVED FENNEL, LEMON ZEST, PINE NUT, PARMIGIANO, LEMON CITRONETTE) and the Margarita al Crudo pizza (SAN MARZANO DOP, FIOR DI LATTE, PROSCIUTTO DI PARMA, ARUGULA, SHAVED PARMIGIANO, BASIL). With all the discounts, we got about 50% off what it would normally cost. (Remember to always tip on the pre-discounted total ). The service was phenomenal. We were late but they were cool about it. And the ambiance was nice!! Seriously, go to Pizzana.

First time visiting this pizza joint. We ordered the Diavola pizza and Cacio e pepe pizza, both are flavorful and delicious. The crust is soft and the pizzas are Naples style. There's parking on the street and no long wait time. Service is excellent and ambiance is mid level noise.

I LOVE their Cacio e Pepe pizza. It's soooooo good and the best one I've had I could eat a whole one myself. The vodka one was good too and I've had a few of their other pizzas and it's all so good. They have good pasta as well. Their broccolini and cesare salad were also very very good. Service is standard. Ambience is nice. One of my favorite pizza spots for sure.

tl;dr this neo-Neapolitan pizzeria-wine bar has well-executed pizza fundamentals, although some topping varieties err on the side of too adventurous Nowadays, neo-Neapolitan pizzerias seem to be all the rage, and Pizzana follows in suit. Here, Chef Daniele Uditi's wood-fired Neapolitan pies are decorated with a blend of traditional and ambitious toppings (the signature pizza takes inspiration from cacio e pepe). Pizzana has earned Bib Gourmand recognition from the Michelin Guide, and the brand has expanded to multiple locations across Texas and Southern California. The Silver Lake location is on a busy stretch of Sunset. During the daytime, you might walk right past the baby blue storefront's muted signage. The inside is industrial-chic with quirky Italian decorations. The walls are decked with olive branch wallpaper and large portraits of Italian ingredients against baby blue backgrounds. Backlit exposed lightwood beams pop against the otherwise black ceiling. Dark wooden tables and chairs are pressed up against the upholstered half-booth that runs the perimeter of the restaurant. Shelves of wines, spirits, and cocktail glasses hang between the dining room and the kitchen. Upbeat Italian pop plays unobtrusively around the space. I arrived for an early weekend dinner, and our party of four was seated immediately. We kick off our meal with the Cavoletto di Bruxelles. The dominant flavor was the sweet caramelized shallot vinaigrette, but the apple and pistachio were unmistakable. Across the pizzas, each thin-crusted pie sported a leopard-spotted bottom with an extra-poofy, chewy cornicione. The consensus hit was the Diavola, a zingy red pie highlighted by a lingering heat and a pleasant infusion of honey. Pizzana's Neo Margherita was certainly non-traditional: loaded with cheese and uniquely sprinkled with basil powder, this pie catered more toward the Brooklyn-style lover than the pizza purist. Lastly, the signature Cacio e Pepe pie attempted to elevate the standard white pie with uber-rich Parmigiana crema. However, as the pie cooled, the thick layer of cheese solidified -- which made the pizza flop in more ways than one. Lastly, we shared the pleasantly al dente Pappardelle alla Bolognese, which sported an addictively hearty meat sauce perfect for dipping pizza crusts. The service was efficient throughout the meal, and our bill worked out to ~$150. A solo hungry appetite could probably tackle a single pie, but our party of four took home multiple leftover slices. The pizza ranged from off-putting to very good, and the non-pizza dishes stood their own. While I wouldn't go out of my way to pay Pizzana a second visit, I would recommend it as a crowd-pleasing pizza-wine bar.

    Tiramisu

Had this place on my list to check out for a while. We were in the area and we decided to stop by for dinner without reservation. We got there right around 5pm and they took us in. Service was great. Our server took our order, didn't felt rushed and the food came out in right amount of time. For appetizer, we had fried artichoke and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this. For pizza we had Neo Margherita and Carnivoro, both were amazing. They are known for their dough and tomatoes and yes they nailed it. For dessert, we had tiramisu, and waahh, it was absolutely delicious. One of the best tiramisu's I had in awhile. Highly recommend it. Over all our experience with pizza was as great as expected and hats off to their dough and Italian San Merzano tomatoes.

Pizzana Silver Lake Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Pizzana Silver Lake

    Is Pizzana dog friendly?

Yes. See my review with a dog pictured.

Is this place stroller friendly? Is there a patio or space to bring a stroller?

I didn't notice a patio, but, when it is not crowded, there is room for a normal (not gigantic) stroller. The day we were there, there was a table with a baby and a stroller next to it.

Is there valet parking? If not, is there any place to park on the street, realistically? Thanks

They have valet but there’s free parking across the street up Maltman Ave

I was seated efficiently by the host and proceeded to tell me that we order everything at once and that was no problem for us. Bacetti is set up like an open kitchen, lots of tables with a battalion of chefs in the back cooking up a storm. It was pretty cool to watch. There are outside tables also. The bar area is for overflow but only serves snacks. Our wait person was super polite. Now the food. There was a little bit of a wait, but that was not a problem. We decided to get the broccolini and the carbonara. If we were still hungry, we had our eyes on one of the main dishes. The broccolini came, and it was probably the most delicious preparation I've had in the states. It was loaded with garlic, and nuts , really good ingredients really good olive oil and it was cooked very very well. Next up was the carbonara with guanciale and egg yolk. The rigatoni was nicely chewy and the sauce was perfectly made. This filled us up. We were very impressed with the authenticity of the dishes and how well-made they were. Desserts looked appetizing but a bit predictable. Will try next time tho. Gratuity at 20% for checks. Love Bacetti. Coming back. End of Yelp.

Bacetti is a beautiful restaurant serving delicious food, but our experience was unfortunately let…read moredown by some confusing and inconsistent service. The restaurant is located near Dodger Stadium in a hilly residential area that isn't particularly pedestrian-friendly. Parking was by far the biggest logistical challenge, as we couldn't find any dedicated parking options beyond residential street parking. It's worth planning extra time if you're driving. We arrived around 7:45 for our 8pm reservation simply to check in, not expecting to be seated early. The host, seeming a little bothered, let us know our table would be ready closer to our reservation time and offered grabbing a drink at the bar next door as an option while we wait. We didn't want to order drinks, so we stood against the wall in the waiting area across the host stand. We were single-file, hugging the wall and not blocking anyone. Nevertheless, we were quickly told we couldn't wait there and needed to either go outside (it was cold) or sit at the tables next to the bar. After taking the indoor option given to us, a server came over to take our order. We explained that we were only sitting there because the host had directed us to wait there until our table was ready. The server responded, "Well, if you're here, it's basically expected you order a drink." Restaurants: please do not play games with your patrons. If purchasing something is expected to use the waiting area you direct us to, it leaves a really bad taste to discover it after you've sat down. After 8, we were seated in the main restaurant for our reservation. Our server was friendly, personable, and never made us feel pressured to order more than we wanted like I've encountered in other places. The menu was explained as family-style, with dishes intended to arrive around the same time. Unfortunately, the pacing of the meal didn't match that explanation. Instead of arriving together, the dishes came out individually over the course of about 1-2 hours, often 10-20 minutes apart. I completely understand that everything is made fresh, but it was disappointing after being told the meal would be timed differently. Setting accurate expectations would have gone a long way. The food itself was excellent and easily the highlight of the evening. While the dishes leaned a bit salty, everything was crafted artfully with quality ingredients. The stuffed fried squash blossoms, carbonara, pesto, and peach & burrata salad were all standouts that I'd happily order again.

Thankfully, it's only about a 5-10 minute walk from Monkish, making it an easy stop if you're already in the area. One thing I appreciated right away was that the restaurant is very upfront about the wait time for their deep-dish pizzas. As soon as you walk in, they let you know that deep-dish pizzas take about 50 minutes to prepare. That gives you a chance to order immediately and get the process started so you're not surprised later. We ended up ordering one of their meat-heavy deep-dish pizzas. When I initially considered ordering a medium or large, our server warned me that those sizes could easily feed three or four people. Since it was just my girlfriend and me, I confidently said I was hungry and could handle it. I was wrong. We ended up taking about half the pizza home. The portions are huge, but more importantly, the pizza was delicious. If you're a fan of true deep-dish pizza, this place absolutely delivers. The crust, sauce, cheese, and toppings all came together really well, and it was worth every minute of the wait. We also ordered a few beers and drinks while we waited, and everything was excellent. Even though we were already completely full, I couldn't pass up dessert because I noticed they offered crème brûlée, which is one of my favorite desserts. What really caught my attention was that they had a chocolate crème brûlée, something I had never seen before. The chocolate crème brûlée was good. I'd probably rate it around a 7 out of 10. It wasn't the best crème brûlée I've ever had, but it's also not an easy dessert to execute well, and I enjoyed trying a chocolate version of it. Overall, Masa was a great experience. Excellent deep-dish pizza, generous portions, good drinks, and friendly service. I would absolutely come back the next time I'm in the Echo Park area.
