The shape of my nail were in the middle of oval and almond. Julie did my nails and she was hands down amazing. I would not have wanted anyone else to do my nails. After giving 2-3 other nail salons near me a try before trying Bella, I found my nail quality and condition mediocre. But when I first stepped into Bella immediately upon my first and second visits, I've found myself obsessed with the quality work done on my nails! Darlene, Jonny, and Cindy are my favorite when it comes to quality filing with shapes and work on my nails with SNS (only a few of them in the salon can do this)! I am super bummed to write this review because my first time here I loved my nails but the last two experiences I've had were not great at all. The nail techs who do gels and acrylics are so inconsistent. You are either going to get someone who knows what they are doing or someone who has no idea! Traditionally you get the name of the nail tech who does a great job and you stick with them but if its your first time and you get stuck with a tech who doesn't shape your nails remotely how you asked or cuts them down completely when you say "just file down a little" its frustrating. Everyone in here is friendly and welcoming but the quality control is an issue... I will not be returning. My pedicure looks like I did it myself, and my acrylics were filed so incredibly crooked! They also have a punch card for rewards which is nice since nails do get pricey. All the workers here are very sweet and welcoming, ask for Cindy for nails she is impeccable in her work and always leaves my nails beautiful! For pedi Lilly takes the cake she gives the best massages and gets your cuticles all around real good, I used to figure skate so I suffer from In-growns all the time. NOT THIS PLACE: The first nail salon I found in the area, I tried to attempt another walk-in (definitely a walk-in full service type of gal which isn't always ideal but I'm a new client looking for a new place) I have to admit the little upgrades from WEST LA nail salons made me return. I was asked if I could come back later.. which normally isn't a problem but their later turned out to be "tomorrow". Sorry, I'm a woman who needs her nails done and it was Friday night, being told to come back tomorrow almost made me faint. So in that problem, I found one beautiful opportunity. THIS LOCATIONS REVIEW: On my moving day I saw this place while I was cruising the neighborhood. Since I was having my dilemma mentioned above I decided to give them a try. 1. Make an appointment, YOU CAN walk in, but I feel an appointment is best if you would like a good experience. With timing of being seen. They do have a sign that suggest arriving to the appointment 5 minutes early and DEFINITELY on time or you will be added to the walking list. 2. Be patient be willing to wait a bit even if you do have an appointment. The sign ALWAYS request you be understanding there could be a 15 minute wait before you are seen. Which I noticed consist of them cleaning and prepping the area that they're going to move you to which I find very hygienic and I do appreciate. 3. The place itself: everything seems very modern, clean and classy the only thing I missed were those massage chairs I normally sit in at other "spas". Their chairs are extremely comfortable nonetheless, maybe they are massage chairs and I just could locate the remote. 4. Cindy and Vicky: these were my two nail techs. Cindy did my manicure &; face waxing she also introduced me to a new SNS powder instead of acrylic powder because I want to grow my own nails after years of full sets. Vicky did my pedicure, I actually hate having people touch my feet and it's really hard for me to sit still and enjoy a pedicure it's normally a uncomfortable tickle fest but she actually did an amazing job and always made sure I was comfortable and liked the shape and how they turned out. I really appreciate her bringing this up and actually taking a personal standard to how well my nails and face turned out. As a customer who is paying for a service to enhance my natural beauty. Prejudice, racist and stereotyping Manicurist ! Manicurist at this shop prefer to work on Caucasian individuals who appear financially well off. I have walked in there a few times and have been left waiting to be attended; often times, clients who walk in after after with no appointments are attended before I am. Based on past experiences with this shop I believe it is because I am a brown skinned Latina dressed with no designer hanging off my wrist. On my last visit a manicurist sat me and began to work on taking off my dip nails. Shortly after, a woman and a little girl walked in and the manicurist immediately left me unattended and attended them instead. I sat there for about 20 minutes before anyone gave me an update on my service. A second manicurist came to finish my work. When we were close to being done another client came in. The manicurist paused her work with me and began to set her up. The manicurist should have finished her work with me before moving on to another costumer, specially since we were almost done. Id like to add, the second manicurist was a bit more welcoming than the first one. I almost did not write this yelp because the owner of this shop is nice and welcoming to all, but that first Manicurist reminded me of why I stopped going to this shop. The manicurist at this shop are prejudice and racist towards brown skin latinas. I have seen it towards other clients as well. And although words of racism are not spoken the actions are there. I would like to remind the owner and manicurist of this facility that we are all paying costumers and they should treat all costumers equally. Stop judging someones pockets by the way they look, as you do not know how much we can spend. read more

When I asked to please fix them the technician was really irritated. I also if they could make them a little thicker and she wouldn't do it. I stop by here to get basic gel mani/pedi done because it's down the street from my house. I'm sorry to have to post this 1 star review but I feel the owner should know. I walked in today without an appointment and was seated right away. I decided to do chrome on both my toes and fingers. During the cuticle removal, I was cut twice on my fingers and then when she was finished, 8 out of 10 nails had bumps/dents in it so I asked what is causing these circular dents in my nails? Is the polish old? Is it the wrong top coat? No one answered my question and she insisted on just filing it down and fixing it. During this fixing process she used a drill to take the chrome layers off of the top. She hurt me a total of 7 times and I have 3 open cuts that bled. She's a very nice lady and kept apologizing for her mistakes, but 7 times? At one point, I kindly asked her to stop because I wanted to just leave but she told me it's ok, it will be fixed. I'm sitting there crying because it's the worst manicure experience I've ever had and it hurt a lot. I feel like I shouldn't have been charged at all. Another employee stepped in to try to fix my nails and ended up adding more and more layers. After a total of almost 3 hours, I walk out with 3 cuts, a really ugly manicure and am just very unsatisfied with my experience and am quite sad because I am a bridesmaid in a wedding in 2 days. I'm scared to put acetone to remove the gel because of all the cuts. One of the employees did put some sort of healing coat on 2 of the cuts and it looked like a manicure bottle with a brush. He brushed on a layer of an oil like ointment directly on top of the open cuts. Is this sanitary? How many other open wounds has this brush touched and is dipped back into the same bottle? This ointment did make my open cuts scab up really quickly. I'm really just upset that after all this, I was charged. I walked out in tears and am hoping I don't get any infections. read more

I was looking for a nail shop in my area where I had recently moved. I found Bella nails after looking over reviews on Yelp and I decided to check it out. I called ahead to make an appointment and they asked me if I was specific to anyone, well since I didn't know anyone I said no and took a chance. I went in for my appointment for a SNS gel fill and pedicure. All in all I was pretty satisfied, although I have to say I'm pretty particular about my nails and I like them a specific way, and these were a bit too thick for my liking. The next time I went, I asked to do my fill with Darlene, my nails were amazing! Just the way I wanted them and I didn't have to say anything to her, she asked what I wanted beforehand and went from there. Suffice to say, I don't need to try anyone else. I went for the first time a few weeks ago, and I can see why they get really good reviews on yelp. pros: The staff was very welcoming when I walked in without an appointment, and I could see that they were trying to accommodate me when they were already busy. The gentleman at the front desk is very friendly, and that certainly helps. The ladies that worked on my mani and pedi were working hard and overall I liked the work that they did. I got the gel manicure/regular pedi, and the gel machine they used didn't seem to be as strong, which I liked. The last place I went to, it literally hurt my fingers a bit, even after the manicure, I would have little tingling sensations around my fingernails, which can't be good. The decor is nice and everything is very clean. cons: The reason why I gave it 3 stars is because my gel manicure started peeling off not even a week after the manicure. Usually my gel manicures last about 3 weeks, minimum 2+ weeks. I was surprised when my gel manicure started lifting around the edges after 6 days or so, and one nail I just had to peel it off since the edge was starting to scratch my clothes, affect me using my computer, etc. After that, another one peeled off a day later. That was the shortest gel manicure ever for me, I've had regular manicures that lasted longer than a week. I was disappointed to say the least. Ultimately what really matters is how my manicure looks, so even with all the pros, I had to give it 3 stars based on my experience. I'm willing to try this place again, so hopefully I will have a better experience next time. If so I will definitely update my review! read more

The last couple of times I've been in this salon, I've had issues with my manicure not lasting or discoloring. Which is unusual, because I l've never had this issue at this salon. I went in Wednesday night (12/27) to do my nails before the holidays, and by the next morning they were already chipping. Now, less than a week later, I'm having to take my nail polish off because it's completely chipped. The first time I visited here I brought my baby girl while I got a gel manicure, and they were super accommodating and sweet. They are sweet and not too pushy, which is a peeve of mine. Cleanliness is a given when it comes to these nails salons but yet had to find, they use plastic liners for pedicures and change them after each visit.
