Husband and I tried this restaurant out last week for their pizza. We normally make handmade pizza at home,however, we thought we would give them a shot. We ordered the sicilian square with just pepperoni on it. It was OK. We would not order it again or come just for the pizza again. The sauce was bland and the dough tasted like a funnel cake. Very odd. We also had a cannoli for dessert. It was covered in chocolate sauce and confectioner sugar. It is already sweet so I do not know why they added all of that. I would get the cannoli again but without all of that mess. It was just my husband and I inside eating and not once were we asked for refills on our drinks. I have noticed that ALOT of reviewers eat their pasta dishes and not pizza. So that may be the route to go. read more

Came in to try to order dinner for the family and was turned away by the lady behind the counter. Even though 45 minutes before they're closing I was told that they had too many orders and we're not taking any more orders for the rest of the night. I guess bussniess hours and fulfilling customer orders plus customer service is not important this place so I will not be returning and giving my support to this local pizza place. Luckily Domino's is in the same parking lot so I encourage anyone to take their business there or elsewhere where customer service means something to them. There is no room for rude hole in the wall joints like this that I normally would expect better service and a home town feel. read more

Decided to try take out dinner from this place tonight based upon previous reviews; however, we were very dissatisfied with our meal. The shrimp, clams and mussels pasta was particularly disappointing, as there were quite a few of the clam and mussel shells that were broken and empty, and the shrimp were the tiny pre cooked shrimp bought in bags of the frozen section of a local supermarket. There was nothing fresh in the dinner whatsoever. To be so close to the ocean, it's disconcerting not to get any fresh seafood in the seafood dish. I like to try local cuisine in small dining establishments, as I believe you can find some of the best food at these places, but this is one place that was a disappointment from start to finish. It's a shame cause I was really looking forward to the meal! read more

I was in Suffolk earlier this month for a conference for a five day period and was looking for decent places to eat. My colleague and I found Bella Napoli on our second day of the trip and were extremely impressed by the service and food! The owners are super nice, originally from Italy and it shows in their and pasta and pizza. It is not 100% Italian traditional cuisine as they told us that originally it was on their menu but it wasn't selling- which is unfortunate. Their Americanized Italian dishes are delicious though, by far the best in the area. In four days we dined at this establishment 6 times and really enjoyed every dish we sampled- the white pizza being my favorite! If you are in the area, stop and eat here, friendly service and awesome food! Highly Recommend! read more

We just moved into this area, and there are plenty of pizza chains here, but I prefer handmade New York style to conveyer belt pizza. So I'll start this with the fact that I enjoyed their pizza even more than my all time favorite (well, no longer) Pungo Pizza. We just moved to Suffolk and I am so excited about the little gems this area has to offer to offset the chain restaurants that are a dime a dozen in Harbour View. It's a small mom & pop pizza shop with a handful of tables and some early closing hours. (Last call at 7 for dine-in, 7:30 for to-go.) Don't let that stop you from making it to Bella Napoli. We dined in with 4 adults/a toddler and they took great care of us. Perfect crust, delicious sauce and cheese. If you want authentic Napoli pizza try the margherita. Yummy! BEST REAL ITALIAN PIZZA in Hampton Roads for a very decent price. The owners are an incredibly friendly couple from Naples, Italy (the home of the original Margherita Pizza). I am Italian, and since living in Virginia, I had not found a pizzeria that made traditional Italian pizza with a proper crust and sauce. Bella Napoli beat my expectations and makes their pizzas just like back in Italy. What's even better are their prices - they make a large Margherita Pizza for about $10 less than Spaghetti Eddies or other pizzerias in the Churchland/Western Branch/Harbour View area. If you want a REAL ITALIAN PIZZA, come here. Take the time to talk to the owners as well; they're great people! First visit to this tiny authentic (Neapolitan) Italian restaurant. Had a Pizza Margarita and it was Wonderful !!! .....Wonderful light delicious crust; wonderful tasty sauce; wonderful fresh mozzarella cheese & fresh basil. Yum. Shared a House salad which was a quasi-Antipasto, with Salami, Provolone, some fresh sliced tomatoes, sliced onions with iceberg lettuce, only thing missing were the good italian olives, they used the green pimento type?....But wait, the Salad dressing was enough to go back for, because we definitely will! They were closed earlier this summer because the family took a trip back home to Naples. We waited, we wanted to try it and so glad we did. Want to try everything, especially the Marsala, veal & chicken, my fav. It's tiny with only a few tables but prices are great and portions were good. The Calzone we saw at the next table was as long as my arm. Looking forward to our next trip. read more

The food here is great, but their air conditioner is broken. The calamari was significantly overcooked. It was much cooler outside than in the restaurant. Chicken marsala was excellent. Well seasoned thin chicken, nice rich sauce but not thick, and a generous portion of mushrooms. The linguine was perfectly Al dente and that's hard to do in to go orders. I'm on a business trip in VA and I'm from NY and this is better than many NY restaurants. It's a hole in the wall place, literally you walk in there's some seats and a hole in the wall where you order. No pizza on display because it's all made for you fresh, the woman at the counter was a gem. Love places like this. If I lived in Suffolk this would be my go to. read more

I guess hours are wrong. Walked in at 7:40pm told they were closed by the lady behind the counter. Their open sign was still on. Called later to ask what hours are. I guess they close at 8pm even on Friday. Yelp has them as open til 9pm on friday. However they don't take walk-ins after 7pm and take out orders stop after 7:30pm. read more
