We order from Bella Roma quite often, and honestly, the food is always great. Tonight was the first time I ordered the lobster bisque (hate summer colds ). Surprisingly, especially for a pizza place, it's FANTASTIC. Thick, creamy, chunks of lobster. I'm so glad I gave it a shot over my usual bisque place! It hit me after talking to the man who owns the joint, while enjoying my delicious pizza. looking around inside the nice clean restaurant that this place is very underrated. The pizza is very tasty and has a good crunch. It holds up to the fold. They could stand to be more generous with the toppings though.

Prople at the pizza restaurant were rude. We ordered a pie to go about 30 minutes later we came back to get the pie and they said it's not ready come back later. The manner in which they said "come back later " was terse and cruel. It became apparent they couldn't find our order. We left and haven't returned. I would NOT recommend this place as there are numerous Italian restaurants in our neighborhood and they treat their customers well. read more

Sad having to write this review, but if you make a mistake, rather than blaming the customer, you should own up to your mistake. I called in for a large cheese pizza at 6:39 pm tonight. I provided my information to the girl over the phone. She said to give her 20 minutes. My fiancé went down there and was told they didn't have the order and it would be a half hour when he called me at 7:05pm. Why not say you made an error and throw in some garlic knots or offer a discount on the pizza? Why are you so quick to blame me the customer? That's poor. It's not even about waiting the half hour. It's about being blamed for YOUR mistake. I deal with customers all day and that is absolutely the wrong way to work with people. We just ordered heroes from your restaurant on Sunday night also. There are many pizza places to go to. This is Long Island. It makes me sad to write this because your spot is the first place my parents went to when they moved from Nassau county many years ago. I've had many dishes from Bella Roma, from antipasta, apps, dinners, pastas and pizza. Every dish has been perfect BUT, I just discovered something extraordinary about Bella Roma. I ordered this amazing pizza for the second time tonight, bc I couldn't believe the first time could have been possible - dunno, right? Trust me, order a thin crust pizza, and I can assure u, u will transverse into that warm fuzzy place in NYC where ur just in absolute heaven and enjoying something that we all covet - the NYC pizza. My family and I discovered this gem when we moved into the area a few years ago. We'd never go anywhere else for pizza. From the plain to the specialty slices, their pizza is amazing. Being a pizza puritan I judge every pizzeria primarily on the quality of their plain slices. Thankfully Bella Roma comes through in spades in this regard. I have no trouble saying Bella Roma has a better plain slice than any other notable pizzeria in a 10 mile radius(I'm talking to you Colosseo) and 1st rate garlic knots to boot. The crust is an excellent mix of crispy and malleable and it's not too cheesy like too many places in the area. My search for a go to pizza place near home is over! Bella Roma was recommended by a friend, it's a strip mall location by a Home Depot and I never would've noticed it. The decor's a little nicer on the inside than your average pizza place. It's a local favorite as you can tell with the steady crowd coming though for takeout. The slice is a great sauce to cheese ratio. The crust is thin and balanced with a flex and crunch- Just right. I ordered 2 pasta entrees and my total was almost $40. For that amount of money I was expecting good food in a nice portion. I was disappointed. The food was flavorless and the chicken was dry, despite being covered in sauce. I can only hope the pizza is better. But I'll never know cause I'm not going to bother. WORST customer service I have ever seen. I have picked up from there multiple times via food delivery services and one female employee is never afraid to show the customers how disgruntled she is. if you cant Fake it till you make it, I thin it's time you find a job where you don't work with the public. I just picked up an order for a customer and upon receiving the order I realized they combined a hot item with a cold one. Ordered the Bell Roma Special 1. Consisted of chicken, shrimp and broccoli. The chicken was very small, half a breast sliced thin. It had 4 pieces of shrimp and two pieces of broccoli. For 23.95 definitely did not get my bang for my buck. The managers response was it came with pasta too... it did, maybe a few fork fulls. Extremely disappointed for the price. I only came here because my friend wanted pizza and we were in the shopping center. I know from the past this place is horrible. And yet again I had a bad experience. This is what I get for going to this place again. I definitely wont be coming back. I ordered a pinwheel. And I asked for it extra hot because I already know they never heat it up till the cheese is melted in the middle. I was shocked to see he threw it in the microwave under the front counter!!! Are they kidding?! Then he threw it in the oven. If I wanted microwave food I will go to the food store and buy it. Then it was over priced. It was $2.99 for one!! Every other place I have been its $1.25. Then I cut it open and it was not even warm in the middle!! The old guy that owns it is rude. If you want microwaved overpriced food that isnt even good this is the place for you. There are pizza places all over the place, I advise you to try one of them and avoid this place. read more

I go there after waiting a half hour and I am STILL waiting another 30 minutes for the pie to be ready. The restaurant was dead! Never ordering from here again! We first discovered Roma over 20 years ago when they were located on the other side of the center where Stop and Shop is now located. The food was wonderful and the service terrific!! I decided to order here for my wife and I recently, and had a horrible experience. Ordered the $8.95 Ziti under the "Baked Italian Specialties" section of the menu and one hour later my order arrived. The Ziti consisted of only noodles and sauce, when the menu clearly states it comes with ricotta and mozzarella cheese. I called back and asked what happened, to have the manager tell me I didn't order a baked ziti and that "I'm the boss, I'm the man here I've been doing this for 32 years". He proceeded to disrespect me and yell at me, so I went to get my money back and return the food. I asked to speak to the manager and he continued to raise his voice, telling me "This is my place, I'm the man here, and don't talk to me like a fifteen year old". I showed him the menu, and asked him to correct it, and I told him that he can't talk to me that way. I said we had a misunderstanding, and that I didn't appreciate his attitude to which his reply was "I never mess up, we don't make mistakes here" and "If you don't like my attitude, I don't give a s**t". I'm an active duty military member, and only have limited amounts of time with my family. Our night was ruined because of this, and regardless of the quality of food, I will not eat here because of how I was disrespected by the manager. There are dozens more Italian restaurants on Long Island that are not only superior in food quality, but especially in customer service. read more
