It was good for late night pizza but location is now closed. A shame. It was nice to have a place open til midnight.

Food was good and fresh. People there were very accommodating. Pizza was worth the return visit.

By far and away the worst I've experienced. I took away a star for this reason. The new spot aesthetically is just okay. As always with local restauranteurs little to no attention paid to the noise level. My ears were bleeding throughout dinner. The restaurant needs decor which creates a warmer inviting presence. Our food was delicious but the wait time for the meals and drinks was insufferable. BTW, the wait time for the check was equally as painful. To the owners, get your (you know what) together and figure this out. You will not succeed unless immediate improvements are made.

When we entered the…read moreestablishment, the seating area was empty, by the time we left, at around 5:00 PM, the place was getting crowded. We ordered fried calamari as appetizers and a zuppa di pesce - while zuppa is translated as soup in English, the dish is closer to what may be considered a fish stew. In addition to the fried calamari we also ordered a large salad that we split. Cova is a unique restaurant that serves dinner in a family-style format. This means that the entrees are designed to be shared between two or four people. While the food is excellent, for a hungry person, the amount per serving is not worth the price. Unfortunately, the cappuccino maker was not in service, so I ordered a regular cup of decaffeinated coffee. Regrettably, the coffee was not to my liking. The Takeaways: 1. The food is very tasty. 2. The coffee is not good. 3. The price to portion ration is poor. 4. Parking is ample. 5. Make reservations.

Ooo thank you Yelp for helping me find this gem!…read more Small dark restaurant with limited tables and a long bar & stools and cool view of the wood-fired brick oven pizza. Everything was delicious and fresh, I only wished I lived close to this place because I would eat here all the time. Monday night dinner and only a few tables were filled which seemed strange to me since the food was A+, but the takeout was poppin. We started with 6 garlic knots. If you think you only need 6...you are wrong. You need 12, I'm serious! Such warm, crusty, garlicky goodness, they were gone in 60 seconds and we had to order more. - Caprese salad had perfectly ripe yellow and red tomato with a seriously gigantic ball of buffalo mozz - Caesar salad was a little too heavy on the dressing - fresh pasta so good! Papparadella with pesto and fresh mozz & rigatoni bolognese. Flavorful sauces! - Forresta pizza crust was so perfectly thin & crispy and the prosciutto was shaved thin and cooked crispy. Great combo with the arugula - sadly they were out of the tiramasu and sorbet so we tried a cannoli and it was very large filled with rich creamy ricotta and chocolate chips - thanks to a fellow yelper find...they have Mexican Coke! Small parking lot that seems to only go one way.

Everything tasted fresh, comforting, and truly authentic -- exactly the kind of Italian food we were hoping to find. The atmosphere at Ragazzi Italian Kitchen & Bar was warm and relaxed, and the servers were super friendly, chill, and welcoming. We ordered several dishes to share, and everything that came to the table was delicious. The pasta, sauces, appetizers, bread, and entrées all tasted like they were made with care. It was the perfect place for a relaxed family dinner after a busy day in Stony Brook. Great food, great service, and a very comfortable atmosphere. We really enjoyed our evening here and will definitely come back whenever we're in the area. Highly recommended!

It was early, we had a 5pm reservation and the restaurant was pretty quiet. My friends arrived a few minutes later and we were seated immediately also in the bar area as was requested. Our waitress came over to ask about drinks then the busboy arrived with warm garlic knots and focaccia, both were very good. We ordered the gluten free fried zucchini, which I have to say I liked better then most other versions I've had. It seems they have an extensive menu of gluten free options which my friend appreciated very much. I got the Pollo Florendena which is two large chicken cutlets breaded and fried with spinach & mozzarella in a brown gravy served with vegg (string beans) and a small potato croquette. The chicken was tender, the gravy tasty and the beans not over cooked. The potato was meh. I took home most of my dinner. One friend ordered the Tortellini Aligherieri but substituted GF pasta, she enjoyed it very much. The other person ordered Vitello Saltimbocca which is veal with prosciutto, eggplant and mozz in a marsala sauce. It usually comes with veg & pot but she substituted penna in a garlic oil sauce which was very good. We had no room for dessert but there were many selections and one day I'll try. All in all a very nice meal, the restaurant has no issue making substitution, the portions are very large and prices were reasonable. The place was packed when we left at around 6:30 and I can understand why.

It was very delicious and fresh! The marinara sauce was very flavorful and huge chucks of garlic. We were also served some bread and butter. Bread was basic, but warm. For my entree I had their famous chicken vodka parm. It was so good and it had two huge pieces of chicken! I'm definitely looking forward to my leftovers tomorrow. My boyfriend had veal chop Asiago which he really enjoyed. He had asked for a steak knife to cut it, and our waitress said they didn't have any and they were "on order." He didn't end up needing the knife anyway...the veal cut perfectly with his butter knife. Each entree came with pasta and salad! We both got a Caesar salad which was perfectly dressed. So why 4 stars and not 5? We has ordered a bottle of rose, and we were given a bottle of white Zinfandel instead, which cost $5 more...and we were not informed of this. When we ordered the rose, our waitress said she had to check if they had it...didn't say anything and then poured us the Zinfandel. While it was good, we should've been informed. We would still return as the food was delicious!
