My boyfriend and I randomly stumbled upon this place while heading to Tanners, and we're so glad we did! The moment we walked in, we were greeted by the most amazing aroma of fresh, handcrafted chocolate. The shop itself is beautifully set up, with each chocolate piece displayed like a tiny work of art. Jim, the owner, was incredibly kind and welcoming. He took the time to share how he and his wife craft the chocolates, and it was so fascinating to hear about the love and care that goes into every piece. We tried the Cookie Butter (Frog), Dulce De Leche, Raspberry Ganache, and Lemon Ganache. Each one was a 10/10! Perfect texture, rich flavor, and such unique combinations. Came in search of chocolates on Valentine's Day (of course) - wanted to treat myself and had a great experience!! Family owned by a husband and wife team and named after their daughter - so sweet! And their chocolates truly are beautiful works of art - almost too pretty to eat! They have tons of bon bons in all different flavors - strawberry ganache, creme brûlée, salted caramel, raspberry, coconut - you name it! All of them look like paintings...and others are shaped like intricate turtles, dogs, seashells, airplanes, and even a giant stiletto heel! Truly impressive creations! They taste as lovely as they look - we tried the strawberry ganache, creme brûlée, raspberry, coconut, and speculaas - all were wonderful but the coconut was my fave - the filling is so flavorful and super creamy with small bits of coconut and the chocolate is smooth with a slight crisp quality to the outer shell - bellissimo!! Their chocolates are on the pricey side but the quality is truly there and they are all little works of art. They've won tons of awards - very well deserved - AND they were even featured at the Grammy's one year....so I expected the prices. But they validate your parking so it's worth it haha!! And they're so nice - I met one of the owners and he was most delightful- excellent service- so friendly and obviously loves the business. You'll find them in the Salon Republic in the Pacific City Mall. There's lots of parking along the sides and also in the below ground garage for a fee - but they validate. I went in looking for a gift for my father in law. He loves dark chocolate. The gentleman that is the owner was so nice and helped me pick a perfect bar. I was on a time crunch and he was super nice. There's a surprise crunch in there that I don't quite know what it was but I liked it. Gianduja with Ghost Pepper Salt was so many yummy things happening in my mouth! The decadent chocolate, the taste of hazelnut, the hint of spicy, and a slightly salty finish. This was one of those truffles that wowed me! I would get this again! Speculaas is simply gorgeous to look at! It's a teal, purple, gold, glittery streaks. Biting into the dark chocolate shell, a gooey cookie butter oozes out and it's so delightful! Some chocolates are labeled as vegan but we got lucky speaking to one of the friendly shop owners and he pointed out additional vegan truffles. Totally worth making a stop here for delicious treats! Really cute shop located in the mini-food hall located at the east end of Pacific City. I was helped by a cheery gal named Bella (not the store's namesake lol) who was incredibly patient and helpful. Each chocolate is individually packaged and they run $3.75+ apiece. It sounds pricey, but the chocolates are like little pieces of delicious art. There are many cute and beautifully crafted ones that are almost too lovely to eat, but I wanted to buy a selection of chocolates as a "wow" gift so these were perfect. read more

What separates this chocolate shop from the other ones I have been to are 2 things: more variety of different flavor mixtures and the chocolate just look more beautiful. They still have the standard flavors that are usually found in other shops like caramel, dark and milk chocolate, cappuccino, etc. but they also have some fun ones like banana ganache, three berries, matcha raspberry, etc. The packaging was perfect for the gift and the guy helping us out was really nice. I was spending the day with my Father and his wife, who live in the area, and we decided to walk around this outdoor mall bordering the coastline. The area was filled with shops and eateries. One of the placed we walked into and caught our eye was Bella Sophia Chocolates. So glad we walked in. We spoke to a gentleman behind the counter that explained the business and that it was owned by himself and his wife and that everything is handmade. It's been a while since coming to HB Pacific City, so I am so happy I found Bella Sophia Chocolates while walking around. I have the worst sweet tooth, especially for chocolate, so I had to stop in to check it out. There were so many different types of chocolates in the glass, and they all looked so beautiful. The nice gentleman who was the owner told us that him and his wife hand make the chocolates themselves which is amazing. You can really tell his passion for chocolate. I bought their award winning dark chocolate truffle as well as their Dubai pistachio chocolate bar. When I tell you this was all devoured in less than 5 minutes, I'm not joking. This review coming from a certified chocoholic. I've even got a chocolate molecule tattoo. Bella Sophia chocolates in my opinion, are the best chocolates I've ever had. Their dark and milk chocolates are super smooth and decadent. All of the flavors are very prominent. I've purchased from other chocolatiers and you really can't tell one flavor from the other. For example one of my favorites is the Lemon raspberry cup. You really taste the lemon and raspberry! Some of my other favorites are the whiskey bonbon, coffee, the adorable tiramisu cup, they're sipping chocolate which is to die for but generally available during cooler months, all of the fruit style chocolates are to die for and I just had this amazing salted caramel filled cone that I could have eaten hundreds of. I also always purchase the chocolate dipped orange slices and mango slices. There are way too many flavors to list that are my favorites. Each piece is lovingly made. I'm so in love with this place I visit every week. They also carry a line of products that are hard to find and incredible. Namely, this cocoa infused maple syrup which I've purchased twice now. I highly recommend visiting Bella Sophia and trying a variety of their chocolates. This is also a great place to buy gifts for sweet addicted friends! read more

We were hesitant at first because sometimes things look super tasty and then it's like meh but this place seriously delivers. We can't buy too many at once or else we just sit there and eat all of them in one sitting. We've tried several different ones and they have just all been so tasty. I think our favorite one has to be the cookie butter/speculaas one but honestly, they're like all our favorites.
