Nothing like a warm drink on a cold and crisp evening! Got Winter Bliss (seasonal) and it was really good. Tasted chocolatey and not super strong in coffee taste in my opinion. Philz Coffee is the place for a yummy cup of cold brew on a hot Summer day! It was my first time here, so I asked the friendly barista for some suggestions - and after a few questions - he suggested the Philtered Soul Cold Brew, which I got with oat milk. Have to say - it was among the tastiest cuppa cold brew I've ever had! Philtered Soul has just the right amount of creamyness, hazelnut and chocolate to make every sip - delightful. It gave me a good boost of sustained energy for the rest of the day. There was also an assortment of yummy-looking pastries too, but I had just finished with lunch so was just looking for a pick-me-up. There's limited seating inside - but plenty of seating throughout Pacific City. I was able to snag a table right outside the cafe. Service is prompt, friendly, and efficient. They'll validate for two hours of parking at the Pacific City parking garage - so be sure to bring your ticket! Overall, a new favorite whenever I find myself by the pier! read more

Philz Coffee is my favorite spot for drip coffee. I love that everything is pour-over, and you can really taste the care that goes into each cup. The coffee is consistently excellent, and the service is always friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. The only reason this lands at 4 stars is the lack of espresso-based drinks. My wife prefers lattes and cappuccinos, so we usually end up splitting up and going to different spots. Philz is a high energy coffee shop with a big hustle and bustle so prepare to wait or order ahead. The coffee is delicious, but a little too sweet so I reduce the sweetness when I order. There's pastries and burritos for food. There are tables and couches, but they are usually taken. That said, there is plenty of seating outside plus you get a view of the ocean! I recommend the mint mojito, it's delicious! And comes with fresh mint! I didn't know what to get, so I told them I liked shaken espresso, and I usually get brown sugar flavors, they recommended me a Tesora iced coffee. The blonde cashier at the front and the food runner with the glasses and Moustache were fantastic. The food came out right away. But every time I come here the drinks take forever. There were people that came in after me that got their drinks first and I only ordered one. Everyone around me cleared out.
