It was a special day, Father's day and my daughter's birthday on the same day. We were all hungry, but didn't want to settle for mediocre pizza. My daughter conducted a search on Trip Advisor and saw that Bella Villa was on their top ten list. We were pleasantly surprised by delicious food and a warm reception from this family owned restaurant. We ordered a large pizza with sausage and garlic and an order of chicken wings. My daughter who moonlights as a pizza taster (undercover, of course) proclaimed the pizza as one of the best she had tasted. The wings were succulent and crispy with a "banging: sauce. We're staying in the Poconos, Pennsylvania and we wanted to food delivery. We decided to order from Bella Villa Pizza. The delivery was really fast! The prices were pretty standard. We were disappointed with the food. The garlic wings had very little flavor. We ordered a salad with steak and what showed up looked was ground beef instead. The worst part is they actually asked me how I wanted the steak cooked. I requested medium...But what arrived was definitely ground beef. The kids spaghetti and meatballs seemed to be good. My daughter ate every bite. The eggplant parmigiana was good but could have done without the pasta sauce they used. The sauce lacked flavor. The menu promised bread but didn't come with the actual order. I'm not sure if that was a mistake or false advertising. We won't order from here again. read more

This is the first time ordering from this place. The preparation took the amount of time the guy told me over the phone. The chicken parmigiana was fresh and delicious my gf loved it. I had ordered the buffalo chicken cheesesteak plain. It was also delicious just for the next time I'll include lettuce and tomato's to make the sandwich more enjoyable. I like the "home-ee-ness" of the food, but they definitely should experiment with seasoning. I don't know if it's an italian thing, but almost nothing had any salt/pepper at all. We ordered a burger, pizza, sub, with a few sides, and almost all of it tasted bland(Strangely, the broccoli n cheese pseudo pizza rolls were an outlier and were a bit too salty). The sub was a soggy mess(They didn't bake the bread before filling), the pizza wasn't done to specifications, and the burger felt like it was going to slip through my fingers and the tinfoil it was contained in. TLDR; soggy breads/carbs, same lazy pizza bullshit you'd expect from dominos, and almost everything is bland/underseasoned. I bashed it quite a bit, but at least they use fresh ingredients(Which means you won't get very intimate with a toilet seat after the meal). It's just a shame that such good produce is being squandered by an incompetent kitchen. read more

Ordering over the phone was a little chaotic, so I purposely asked the girl taking the order to repeat it back to me. She did, and repeated it correctly. Food comes an hour later and something is missing. I call, they try to figure out what happened...they forgot to make the order. Said sorry, we'll give you a credit on your next order. 1. Food is good don't get me wrong I just don't like the fact that the owner is the only one in the back cooking , plus he's getting the orders wrong & on top of it your a pizza shop and you don't have any pizza out or not trying to make any ! Seriously so unprofessional and there is only one person on the floor taking orders and answering phone calls. Decided on a weekend getaway to Mount Pocono. We were craving something good and simple. Being from NY we were initially very leary of the pizza places. The young lady that took our order was polite and attentive to our order request, her dad even gave us two free slices and garlic knots (cold pizza and extremely gross, but a nice gesture). I think the ambiance is ok. The wings and grey chicken cheese steak was undesirable as well as the small portion of fries. I tried one wing and became nauseated. I pray this was because they were closing, maybe I caught them on a bad day. I'm definitely not willing to try it again. read more

This place is amazing! My boyfriend and I went here for the first time today. We were pleasantly surprised by what we got for the price. We ordered a medium Stromboli, garlic knots (6), 12 piece of wings, and a garden salad with grilled chicken. The total came out to $34. It took about 15/20 min for everything to be done. When we got home and opened everything up, it was crazy to see how much food we got. The stromboli was huge, so was the bowl of salad we got. Not only did we get a lot for the price, the food was delicious! I would definitely recommend going here. They also deliver! read more

I always try new pizzerias in town. It's hard to find a good one in the Poconos. I tried their pizza and their wings. Forget about the wings, they were chewy, dry and small. The pizza crust was soft, hardly any sauce and had way too much seasoning. My kids would not touch it. The workers there were very nice though. Sorry, but off I go looking for another pizzeria that compares to NY style pizza. So far, Papa Santos (Blakeslee) and Vinny's (Pocono summit) have very good pizza. read more

Pizza is a hit or miss, when it's a hit it's great otherwise it's a disappointment. Better than fast food pizza. Specials are pretty good. They deliver which is a plus and very nice people. They go on about being authentic from NY but there not the greatest in the area. read more

Friendly when we ordered, timely, and professional. However, the pizza was very bland, fell apart and was very very greasy. I recently moved to PA, called this establishment at 4:30 to order delivery of 2 pies ( with intentions of eating by 5:30) . They could not find the house ( I moved from out of state and could find house) I gave the woman directions over phone 3x!! I waited til 8 to find out after paying that they were not coming . They never called , just didn't come . I have children here waiting to eat , they jerked me around for hours saying they were on their way. Finally after complaining , they show up cause I said I need order and upon arrival food was cold .They actually had the nerve to charge me as well , worst establishment and customer service !! A year ago I moved to Mount Pocono, and they weren't bad at all. They are always professional taking orders and delivery is great except they never have a pen with them. The quality of the food started to decline rapidly. It was hit or miss with them. Then their Pizza started coming hard as a rock and then their calzones at first were to die for but here lately they are soggy or overcooked and 90% of the time they forget to add the ricotta cheese or forget the sauce. I ordered a meatball sub once and I couldn't eat it because the bread was rock hard and the meatballs were hard and old and no cheese on it. We had to change pizza places because it was getting so bad. I can not believe management or owners would allow food to go out like that. My brother is afraid to complain because he thinks they would spit in his food. Hey, you never know these days. The cook on Tuesdays does decent Calzones but again it's hit or miss. read more

I can't really express how very disappointed I am with this place. It was my favorite pizza spot up until about a month ago when the original family that own it left. Michael and his family made this place what it was...good food, fair prices and the best darned pizza in the Poconos. I went in today for a couple of slices...it was a madhouse, which, under normal circumstances would make me believe they were busy because they were good. Not the case, here. It was mayhem because the woman at the front didn't know how to expedite. I could forgive that if it weren't for what happened when I actually ate what they called "pizza". Bland, over-cooked, under-seasoned. The crust was chewy, but not in the light and airy way a chewy pizza crust should be. I'm so very disappointed that my once beloved pizza joint has changed so drastically in such a short time. The last time I was there I had ordered an eggplant parm sandwich, something I had ordered many times before...the eggplant still had the skin on it, was so under-cooked as to be inedible and very..sparse...in other words, there wasn't a lot of eggplant on the sandwich...considering how poorly it was made, perhaps that was a blessing. My hope is that the new people are just working out the kinks and that the food will eventually go back to what it once was...but I'm not counting on it. read more

Chicken Parmesan excellent, penny alla vodka excellent, meatball more filler then meet, eggplant Parmesan under cooked, The second time I had the chicken Parmesan, and the penny alla vodka. Both were excellent but I got ripped off on the chicken cutlet Parmesan. I think $35 for seven chicken cutlets is ridiculous. Had pizza several times not very good. read more
