Love this place! So fresh and flavorful, start to finish. The mushroom appetizer was so good we ordered a second round (just for me). Salmon truffle...light, delicious, no notes. Edamame had the perfect spice level and the fried chicken was solid too. For rolls, we went with the Lion King, a spicy tuna tower and the Superstar. All great, but Superstar stole the show for me. Pair it with a glass of pear wine (always a good idea at a sushi spot). Our waiter was attentive and fun. So good I forgot to take more pics! Highly recommend!
This placed surprised me! I didn't know what to expect and sushi is not my absolute favorite but the food we had was delicious. I got the Yakisoba and I was very happy with my choice. I even had enough to take home for later. It was a really nice portion. My wife got the Bento box with the Chicken Katsu and she enjoyed it. The restaurant is small but it is downtown so kind of expected. But we took the short walk from the SAFE credit union convention center with friends and they sat us right away for 8 people on the weekend. Their staff was very nice and we hope to come back again.
This place was packed during my conference, but the employees were able to get through every single table at a timely manner, despite being understaffed. The sushi was tasty, fresh, and was definitely not made in a rush or messy. Two of my colleagues got bento boxes, and they also thoroughly enjoyed them. I will say, if you are in a rush to get to your next meeting, and you stopped here for a quick bite, getting your bill may take a while.

Good sushi and a great variety! Nothing was mind blowing, but they did have some unique items. I would say it was slightly overpriced, but overall a good experience. I got the paradise roll and it had so much going on that each piece was multiple bites.
Wanted to find a place within distance of the safe credit union theater before Lion King on Broadway and saw this spot. We went around 530 in the evening and it was not as packed which was a plus for me and my sister. We were greeted right away and were able to be seated upon walking in. The menu wasnt too extensive and offered reasonably priced dishes. After we ordered within 15mins we received our food and it was pretty delicious. I felt this was hidden gem in the middle of downtown Sacramento that should get more recognition. We definitely brought the crowd once we were done with our meal and seating started to fill up. Definitely a go-to before or after any event in the heart of downtown.
The customer service here is exceptional! The restaurant was clean, and it wasn't too crowded on a Saturday night. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The tuna and salmon were excellent, and I especially enjoyed the veggie tempura roll. The presentation of the sushi was beautiful, though both rolls had a bit more sauce than I would have preferred. I also appreciated the variety of vegetarian options. Our server even noticed my tea had cooled and proactively brought me a fresh, hot cup--something no restaurant has ever done for me. They truly go above and beyond!

Although, I did opted for the set lunch meal of salmon bento. For the value lunch price, this was a great deal. It was busy on this day but I had to give the service some grace. They still managed to tend to all the customers in an efficient and courteous manner. The lunch was great. As I was eating it, I did doubt myself if it was a bit too much to eat the bento lunch knowing I had a small window for lunch due to the conference. Nevertheless, I the miso soup was hot and was full of umami. The salmon itself was cooked to perfection and was seasoned well. I skipped on the rice since the box came with walnut shrimp and salad. Overall, this was a great lunch spot with its proximity to the arena.

Beef teriyaki was great. Chicken teriyaki it needed a thicker sauce. It lacked flavor. Rice and salad were fine. Could use more of that sauce on the salad Price is a bit steep. It's like $15 for appetizer and $20 for entree. It should be more like $10 for app and $15 for entree. Will I come again? Maybe if friends wants to
Came here on a Sunday in the afternoon and the place was very chill and slow. The staff were very nice and I ordered the sun and k street roll. The rolls came out in 15-20 mins. The rolls were delicious and very filling. I would definitely recommend and come back
Came for the udon! Pretty good for what's around the area. Service was nice as well, but it wasn't a very busy day.

I placed a phone order for pickup during my lunch break, and the host was very friendly and helpful! The restaurant is only about 10 minutes from my workplace, but it took me around 15 minutes to get there with parking and the walk over. I was actually surprised that the area wasn't as packed as I thought it would be. The inside was very clean and welcoming, and they were super efficient with my order. I ended up eating in my car and absolutely devoured it! I ordered the Lion King, and the salmon literally melted in my mouth. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious! I haven't had a chance to dine in yet, but I'm definitely coming back to experience it soon. A little tip if it's your first time: parking is mostly street parking, so you may have to park nearby and walk over. The restaurant is also a little hidden behind the trees along the pathway, so keep an eye out for it! Smallish place, with solid ratings all across. Service, cleanliness, food, speed, location. All solid. Pleasant time for us. I'm just hesitant to give them 5 stars because I didn't feel a wow-factor. Like I said, everything was good. I'm just not sure that I'd be a repeat customer. Donkatsu bento You can't really go wrong with Fred pork cutlets. So it was good. Just not great. Meat was a bit dry and the salad had too much dressing. Sushi bento (salmon and yellowtail nigiri) Sushi was great. Felt fresh and size was perfect. Beef Yakisoba Another solid dish, that let me satisfied, but not something I'd revisit to get again. Volcano roll Looked awesome. Tasted fine. Our server, by the way, was exceptionally nice. This Japanese restaurant is an absolute treasure trove for the taste buds! The sashimi is incredibly fresh and succulent, the splendid alfonsino (kinmedai) offers a crisp texture and sweet flavor, while the sweet shrimp (Amaebi) are delicate and refreshing, almost like jelly. Came here with a lunch date and got here after noon. We waited to be seated. The resturant was already full by the time we got there. We were seated right away. The server was pretty busy looks like there was only 2 server for the whole resturant we put in our orders an order the spicy edamame. Took us a lot longer to get our sushi rolls. Seems like they only had 3 people rolling sushi seems to not have enough people working for the amount of people in the resturant the sushi was good but the service is slow. Took an about a 30-40 to get our rolls. I suggest either coming early before the lunch rush or coming after the lunch rush. Overall food was on point. read more

I was back in town for a conference, and I thought I would revisit this place. I stopped last year. I enjoyed my K Street roll, and the gyoza was as good as I remember it last year. Service was friendly, pretty quick considering how crowded it was at noon today this place will remain on my list of good stops in downtown! read more

WOW! Must try in Sacramento and in a perfectly located spot that's easy to get to and has plenty of seating. It's right across from the movie theater and has a parking garage behind it. The sushi is incredibly fresh and delicious. The staff are quick and friendly. I can't recommend it enough! read more
Came here for dinner with my friend after we decided to try a new place instead of our go-tos, and it did not disappoint! The restaurant is very clean and cute inside, the staff were super nice, and the food was delicious. We got the spicy edamame and it was so so delicious, spicy, saucy, salty, with pieces of fried jalapeño and onion that were a perfect touch. Both our rolls were delicious and filling. Was it because it was the 4th of July weekend? Was it because it was the end of the night right before they closed? Was it because we decided on a whim to try and share "our compliments to the chef?" These are all questions I asked myself I as I gently held the hand of my lover, a bellies full of fresh fish and Assahi beer, while we strolled on our short walk back to our hotel. I can't think of a better place to capture the essence of traveling, quickly looking up a walkable sushi spot with at least 4 stars, that would do the job. This place did that, and more, and deserves 5. On top of the quality, creativity, pride, and care the chef took with the food (we learned the head chef had been doing this for over 30 years), the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We decided to say something about it the exceptional food, and we ended up sharing sake bombs with the night staff -on the house- before they closed up and shared stories. This place is the one that you want to go if you're ever in downtown Sacramento. read more

Stopped in for a lunch during the work week. It wasn't very busy and I was served quickly after my partner arrived. Quick and good service. Ordered 2 nigiri and 2 rolls- The Paradise and the Tiger. Gonna see a movie at DOCO and wanted a bite to eat before. We decided to go here because it was great last time. Ambiance Little dated but alot of midtown places r like that. Very clean. Across from Esquire Theater on K Street. Customer Service was great. Ordered from Chef's specials. These roll are massive with 10 pieces each. These rolls are a work of art. Cut with precision, no sloppy cuts like some places. It was about 2 pm so the chef had time. Fresh quality seafood in the rolls. Four Seasons This is multiple types of rolls in one. Great variety with soy wrap which has a little different flavor than seaweed. Long list of ingredients I have attached menu. My husband and I really liked this place but sadly we won't be coming back. There was a dead lady bug in my rice. So disgusting. They gave a refund on only my plate after we had to drive back down to the restaurant since it was a phone order and we picked up. The lady bug was stuck in my rice and I noticed it before I put it in my mouth which scared tf out of me. First time I've ever had a bug in my food from a restaurant. I'm so disappointed because the food and sushi is actually pretty good. The lady bug was clearly cooked in the rice. read more

Had Sushi Paradise for lunch and it continues to be my go to sushi spot whenever I am in the area. We came during lunchtime so it was busy, but the wait was very reasonable and things moved along efficiently. I ordered the 16 piece sashimi and everything was incredibly fresh. The platter included bluefin tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and hamachi with four pieces of each. The quality of the fish really stood out, and each piece was a good size and nicely cut. I also added a spicy scallop hand roll, which was flavorful and a solid addition to the meal. The food is consistently delicious and absolutely worth the price. Service was fine overall, and our servers checked in and refilled our water a couple of times, which I always appreciate during a meal like this. The ambiance is casual and lively, especially during lunch hours. It has that classic neighborhood sushi restaurant feel that is comfortable and welcoming without trying too hard. I always stop by here when I travel for work to Sacramento because it's conveniently located near the hotel I typically stay at. I've both dined in and ordered takeout before. It's a casual spot with good service and reasonable prices. I've tried various nigiri's, such as salmon and hamachi belly, and rolls, including Paradise, Lion King, Double Tuna. Everything is delicious! Highly recommend trying if you are in the area and craving sushi. read more

In Sacramento for a conference. I was looking for take-out near the Sheraton. Found this place by chance. Ordered Beef Yakisoba (17.95) and Edamame appetizer (spicy) (5.95) it was all still steaming hot when I got back to my room. Order was filled quickly. Food was awesome! Lots of beef and crunchy cooked veggies. Slight bit of heat to the noodles and very flavorful. Edamame spice just right. Generous portions. Could have fed 2 people. Been going to Sushi Paradise since last year (2024). First time I visited tried the chirashi and golden mushrooms. Enjoyed both. Came again for the Chirashi, fifth in my chirashi series trying it from different sushi restaurants. It has sake, bluefin tuna, lightly torched albacore, and hamachi and the fish was fresh. Sushi rice was seasoned and perfectly cooked. They're pretty much consistent with their chirashi. Basically same kinds of fish from before. It would be nice if they change it up sometimes. Have tried the sushi rolls and bento boxes through prior visits and enjoyed them. The place is always clean. You can enjoy your food indoors or outdoors. I feel like the interior is pretty much the same as the old Osaka Sushi that it replaced. The service is always great and the staff is very friendly and nice. Thank you. read more
