Very much reminded me of boardwalk pizza, slightly sweet sauce, cheese was good, and crust was firm enough to hold everything without drooping. The Sicilian had a nice taste to it as well. A nice option if you're walking around in Chester.

    Baked ziti pizza. LOVE IT.

I had come here last summer when I visited my aunt in New Jersey, and the first day I got here she brought me to this place for their pizza. Naturally when on the east coast and in New Jersey or New York, you have to try their pizza. I ordered their baked ziti pizza and WOW it was AMAZING. Whoever had thought of putting pasta on pizza was a GENIUS, because everything about it was great. The cheese, the flavor, the price, all of it! If I could go back and eat it again right now, I would.

A regular slice and a Dr. Pepper.

Great thin-crust pizza and a fine selection of unique sandwiches. We also found their entrees to be very good.

I had the Smashed Sweet Potato Burger which was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had!!! A delicious brioche roll was filled with two patties made from sweet potatoes and spices, covered in pistachios and crispy shallots, then drizzled with honey. Even a non-Vegan will love this. The standard looking French fries were anything but- they were crispy and delicious with just the right amount of sea salt. The chicken tenders were cooked perfectly and seemed freshly made not frozen. Everyone had to have a taste. The dessert was the showstopper- citrus olive oil cake topped with whipped cream and orange zest. The texture was amazing and it was incredibly delicious. My young grandson had a dish of vanilla ice cream, which also looked standard until you tasted it- super creamy with a strong vanilla flavor that was really outstanding. Everyone enjoyed their meal, which was reasonably priced. I honestly can't wait to go there again. Located off the Main Street , it is easy to miss but be sure to seek it out- you won't be disappointed.

We ordered the cornbread special, the porchetta sandwich special, and the biscuits and gravy. Everything was fresh, filling, and delicious. The porchetta sandwich was flavorful, though I personally found a few pieces a bit fatty with some skin, which wasn't my preference. The biscuits and cornbread on the other hand were fantastic! I also loved the cozy setup inside and the fun idea of having games to play while you dine. The staff was friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better! 4.5! Can't wait to come back and try more

Redwoods Grill & Bar in Chester definitely has curb appeal. When you drive by it, you think "that…read morelooks like a good place to eat". The large, attractive building features a lot of blue and white that almost gives it seashore vibe. There's a sizable outdoor dining area with plenty of tables shaded with umbrellas and even a row of American flags billowing in the wind. So, not being familiar with Chester, and not seeing any other restaurants nearby, I decided to pull in for lunch. It was a bit too cold to eat outside, so I sat in their dining room, which was spacious and attractive, but surprisingly empty given that it was the height of lunch time. After a quick glance at the menu, I immediately spotted what I wanted, the Firecracker Chicken Sandwich. This was for me! Buttermilk marinated chicken, deep fried with a seasoned firecracker crust, served on a ciabatta roll with spicy carrot slaw, herb-buttermilk mayo, fries, and a pickle. Sadly, the description on the menu was the best thing about the sandwich. What I got was an unimpressive looking chicken sandwich that had been overcooked and was devoid of any moisture, tenderness or flavor. It simply wasn't edible. To their credit, they took it back without question and asked if I'd prefer something else. I choose a roasted turkey tea sandwich on multi-grain bread with a side salad. This was definitely better, but still not great. Perhaps Redwoods Grill & Bar is more in their zone for dinner service and maybe this was just an off day, however, based on my experience there, at least as far as the food goes, Redwoods Grill & Bar isn't a place I can really recommend. I should mention that this review was written In September, when I was there, but I forgot to post it, so perhaps it's different now.
