Wow! Bellden Cafe I wish I came to you sooner :) I'm a huge avocado lover and when my best friend told us to meet here I didn't know I'd be so happy. Their avocado toasts come in a variety so you have an option for a pink with beets, one with smoked salmon and then just the normal avocado toast. We ordered the normal avocado toast and then the PNW one. I loved how light and yet amazing the flavor combination was! It was presented very well and the customer service was fantastic! We sat here for hours and chatted and my mocha was just right! I'd highly recommend trying this place out. New to the Bellevue area. Since I saw the Nicest Place in Washington article, I had to stop in! I've visited nearly every weekend since. Their coffee is great, service is always so good (I've been visited at my table by what I think was the owner!), and am now in LOVE with the açaí bowl. Covid time review: What an adorable coffee shop. Was introduced to Bellden Cafe by a friend who lives in the area and is a regular. It is located on the ground floor of a multi-business building with a parking garage in the basement. This business validates parking for patrons! Points. We dropped in to pick up coffee and avo toast x 3. I saw no outdoor seating. Indoors, there are a few small tables and a couple of larger tables that would accommodate study/collab groups. The space is really cool with high exposed concrete ceilings and lots of natural light. They serve coffee drinks including espresso beverages, but also have bottled beer and wine. For food, they have a few pastries such as croissants, but also to-order avocado toasts that are really pretty, nummy, and fresh. The staff all wear masks, and patrons are required to wear masks until seated and eating/drinking. They have an automated hand sanitizer station by the door. I had my usual soy latte, which was very well made, and the pink avocado toast with fruit on the side. The toast had pink hummus, generous slices of beautiful flawless avo, and microgreens. My favorite part of it was the bread itself, which was thickly sliced and perfectly crunchy-chewy like your favorite baguette. You can also order online on their website and pick up. We had a meeting today and it was suggested we got to a chain coffee place but I for once didn't want to! I found this on yelp and had to try it. Since moving here my husbands been wanting to go somewhere that puts designs in his coffee! We parked underground that does validate but make sure to take your parking spot number. Very nice place! Small menu for food and pastries and the same with drinks! I had a hot chocolate with almond milk. My son had a naked juice. Hubby had an Anericano. I also got a pastry they described as a cross between a croissant and a muffin with Nutella on the outside with a tad on the inside. It was so light and so good. I love the layers that you can just peel away. As did my picky 3 em year old. My son also got the bell town sandwich which included ham and turkey with bacon! We had the choice of an avocado as well! It had Swiss and we had it toasted since it's a little dangerous to eat deli meat while pregnant. It was delicious it had tomato and a hint of mustard. Overall we loved this place! We will go back. I gave it an extra star because the employees working there were extremely kind. I came here to work on a Sunday morning, and by the time I left around 1 PM, it was definitely crowded inside. I ordered an Avocado Toast and Drip Coffee. This was honestly the first time I've ever ordered an avocado toast, and it's likely going to be the last time. At $10, this breakfast dish is super pricey, and honestly not really worth it. There was nothing remotely special about it. The drip coffee also tasted like water, which is honestly so disgustingly sad. It had absolutely no flavor - I'm not sure if they reused their coffee to make my order, but it was probably the worst coffee I've ever had. WiFi at this location is on the slow side and you need to re-connect every 2 hours. The ambiance is on the loud side - all noises and conversations echo throughout the cafe, so you can hear people's conversations. I spotted this cafe as I was strolling by in Bellevue, and immediately noticed how cute the interior was. On a cold Seattle day, the smell of coffee drew me in. The environment was extremely pleasant, with people already working there at 8am -- the only downside being that dine-in time is 2 hours max, which would probably be enough time but knowing the time restraint was a little unsettling. I can see why though -- by 9am, there was already a line out the door. If you want a chance in sitting down anywhere, you've gotta get here before then. Pink Ava Toast (8/10). The aesthetic of this dish is what drew me in, as the pink hummus and the flower contrasted with the normally one-dimensional visual aspect of avocado toast. This came out much faster than the drink, and due to having to wait a good amount of time, the crust of the toast was a bit tough on some parts but also crunchy on some parts. That being said, the toast was soft on the inside, nothing extraordinary but a normal texture. I would definitely say that I didn't taste much of the hummus itself -- the dish tastes about the same as any other avocado toast and the hints of subtly I read from others' review did not shine through in mine. That being said, I did appreciate the slight roughness of the hummus that added a bit more complexity to the avocado's smooth texture. I don't think I'd try this item again, but I don't regret getting it purely because it was a super aesthetic dish. Home for the Holidays Latte (9/10). In a lot of flavored lattes' or other coffee drinks, I despise when the subpar taste of the coffee itself is made up by layering sugar and milk. In this case, I was pleasantly surprised that predominant flavor of the drink was still the coffee, made up with hints of spices and variations in texture, which was fairly consistent throughout (just right, with a smooth, milky taste). The fact that condensed milk was the focus of the sweetness also helped, and the touch of sweetness blended well into the texture of the drink. I wouldn't say that the drink was one-dimensional at any point, and overall I was very satisfied with the drink itself, but I did hope that the lattes came before the toast as something to sip on while waiting. To some extent, it's very cute that they do say explicitly that their drinks menu goes directly to charity. I would be happy to come back and try more of their drinks, as they seem to be fairly unique. Overall, the items are a bit expensive here for the quality, but it's definitely a cute cafe / good Insta spot and I'd say it's worth giving it a try. read more

Was in Bellevue. Pulled up yelp and noticed this place had Acai Bowls. Had them all the time while living in Hawai'i but generally speaking usually dissapointed when I order them and the "Acai" doesnt actually taste like the Acai berry. Many places take the more potent version and water it down or mix it with other ingredients to save on cost. Any how...I parked in the adjacent garage on a sunday. Lots of stalls open. I placed a to go order for the Acai bowl without coconut or honey and ordered their PNW toast and added avocado. It took a really long time to receive my order. Atleast 20 mins if not longer. There were a bout 2 groups of 4 in front of me that ordered something so not sure if that explains the back log. The PNW toast with the added Avo was good but not that much salmon on top especially if came without the avo. For those that are familiar, the "Acai" bowl here did not have the authentic Acai berry taste unfortunately. The mixture was blended/watered down with too many other ingredients. Drove around and around until I realized parking garage around the corner, with free 2hr validation inside cafe and has a walking entrance leading to a door adjacent to Bellden. Cafe itself was cute, clean, plenty of tables to chat with a friend or enjoy solo. I got an iced chai latte with cashew nut milk and avocado toast with fruit. Oh my goodness, the chai latte was 10/10--lightly sweet, but not overly sweet, and the cashew nut milk made for a tasty bit of creamy nuttiness. The avocado toast was a large piece of sourdough bread, slathered with ricotta, drizzled with olive oil and red pepper flakes and lemon (I think), and topped with thinly sliced avocado. It was divine. So simple yet so delish. I would definitely go back for both, esp now that I know they offer free validated parking. read more

Cute new coffee place! I came here as I was early to my dentist appointment and they are right nearby. I got an oat milk latte (they have oatly)! It was really tastey and well made. The girl made some pretty flower latte art. I think it was a lily. The charge a small extra fee for plant based milk but it was worth it. I'll be back! 15 of my coworkers and I went to Bellden's grand opening today. I got a decaf Americano and the flavor was rich and bold without any acrid aftertaste. I also got a salted caramel pastry that was insanely good. I mean Bakery Nouveau level good. I found out that their pastries are sourced from The Bakehouse 55, which I believe is currently a hidden gem in the Pacific Northwest just like Bellden is! Don't just take my word for it, though-the group of us had a mixture of drinks and pastries and reviews across the board (even amongst the more-discriminating coffee drinkers) were glowing! Do yourself a favor and grab coffee and a pastry and hang out for a bit there. This is the best cafe since I moved to the Seattle area in 2015. The food are amazing and fairly priced , each toast plate comes with a free side , the drinks are great too. They got 2 meeting rooms free for use in weekdays, which is a huge bonus and makes this cafe unique. The workers are nice and warm. My favorite coffee shop in Bellevue! I love coming here to do work on the weekdays. Weekend is a little busier but you can always try and find a seat or two. They offer free two hour validated parking for the parking garage on the side so that's a huge bonus since street parking can be difficult. You can also keep asking them to validate it even after the initial two hours are up. I have always enjoyed the drinks I've gotten here, but my favorite is their spring time latte which is infused with their house-made lavender, lemon, and honey. So good! I definitely recommend getting this drink if you're stumped on what to try. The spring time latte and their other specialty drinks each have a charity associated with them so a portion of each purchase goes to that charity. I'm looking at the pictures on Instagram and Google of the PNW toasts they have posted that have 2 very large pieces of toast with a side salad or fruit and wondering what the heck we spent 30+ dollars on?! This is my favorite coffee shop to work and read at in Bellevue. It's a walking distance from my office too so I often visit after work or during lunch breaks. Parking is a little hard to find for Bellden Cafe and is located behind the storefront in the residential parking garage. The cafe will offer a two hour parking validation and extra if you so happen to stay there longer. The shop gets pretty busy on weekends and it's pretty difficult to claim a seat or outlet to charge your laptop. PLEASE add more outlets closer to the center tables! A lot of thought and care were put into the interior of the cafe. It's a nice balance of hipster, greenery, and modern vibes. They also feature photographers on the walls which is a cool plus too. I absolutely love the staff. Many of them are photographers as well and I've always had great conversations and chats with them. I usually order the iced coffee or cold brew which are decent. Only complaint is that the power outlets are out of reach from most of the seats in the cafe. I hope they fix this issue in the future. read more

Cute coffee shop with very nice staff however the service is extremely slow. Was there on a Saturday right at 8 am when they opened and we were the only ones there. We ordered 3 coffees and two oatmeal bowls and although the bowls came out in about 20 min (long time for oatmeal) the coffees took even longer. We had plenty of time but I'm afraid what the wait will be if busy. With that said, the coffee was indeed awesome and almost made the wait worth it. I discovered this place a few months back and I love it. I've been making it a ritual on the weekends to come in after a good workout and indulge in some of their many toast options or their açaí bowls. Their iced spring time latte is one of their best sellers and I can see why. It has lavender and honey flavor and super good. I previously have ordered their vanilla cold brew which has a really unique flavor. They also have cold cups for you to enjoy your coffee out on their patio seating. They don't start making their toast or açaí bowls until 8am and stop at 4pm so be prepared for that! Their açaí bowls are super good and a great portion. Their avocado toast with ricotta cheese is Amazing! I'm sitting here craving it already. The bread was warm and all the flavors complimented each other. IF you want a kick ask for extra chili flakes and it really added some extra flavor and there is salt near the spoons/forks area and adding a little of that will complete the entire thing. I rarely write reviews but I have to for this one. I LOVED their Home for the Holidays coffee, and I'm someone who usually only drinks Americanos and does't like milk and sugar in coffee. It was perfect, not too sweet and really hit the spot. The PNW smoked salmon toast was lovely too. The barista was super sweet and friendly. I adored her. And parking in the basement of the building was validated, although it took me a while to figure out that they had parking (an essential in this part of the city). The only thing that would make it perfect is to have softer music playing. Why are all cafes in Seattle so loud now? I'm sad that I can't easily go to this coffee, considering it's on the eastside.
