They disregarded the tire repair when my husband told him he didn't want to buy new tire and claimed to have repaired a rim leak which did not get repaired. I have been going to the SCS Belle Tire since they have been there and never had bad service, but today was ridiculous... I went in the store, explained I had a leak in my tire and I have had to fill it every day. Richard Dowell waited on me and he (a salesman) said "let's go take a look" he walked out to my car with me looked at the tire and said it was dry rotted, had no tread and has a bubble.. Wondering if we were looking at the same tire, I said so what now? He told me I needed all new tires and it was not repairable. He must have seen me as a mark (dumb woman $$$) Well I am the furthest from, I took it to another shop and they said there is nothing wrong with the tire and it was a loose valve stem. read more

Only go to this place if you want to be pressured into buying 4 tires because of one flat...then trying to buy only 2 tires THEY recommended ...then to be told when YOU call them that ...yeah ...they "don't have them...they are too old..they are phasing out.." ....(why did you have them in the system to sell?). Then ...when they finally have tires to put on...they poss cracked my wheel. It was NOT cracked before. Now it is... They have had my car for about 2 wks. (Couldnt pick up yest. Due to my own schedule) ..they so far have refused to cover this wheel...and the inconvenience of being without the car so long....as they said it would be done LAST MONDAY. There are a few things you expect to have in a tire store: you want the people work there to be professional, for the prices to be reasonable, and for it to not take all day for them to put tires on your car. This place does all those things. To be fair, I'm not sure what it would take for me to give five stars to a tire place. I guess the service would have to be lightning quick, which it wasn't here. Or, maybe the lounge area would have a lot of free goodies, which this place didn't, but I honestly don't care about that. But, one thing that set this place apart was what happened when I came here with a piece of metal stuck in my tire. I bought tires here before, and I love them. They were reasonably priced, and they provide excellent traction in the winter. And now, I had to come back and get one of them fixed. I had to wait about an hour, and I was blown away that they decided to remove the piece of metal and patch the tire free of charge! Pretty cool. Another nice touch: they have free air for your tires, self serve. In Michigan this is impossible to find anywhere, while some states do have it. Another pretty cool thing. read more

Had a screw in my tire at 3:00 pm today. They close at 6:00. They wouldn't even look at my tire. Told me to go to "a mom and pop shop". Bell Tire had always been our go to for tire issues. Not anymore. Firestone, who closed at 4:00 told me to come over. Unfortunately, they did not have my size tire, but they stabilized it enough for me to get it to one of their shops that did have one. Had my van there 5 times in 3 months. They replaced the front calipers, pads, etc. etc.etc. I called the 1st time and said it smells like something burning, said it's normal don't worry about it. Several times I called back within a few weeks Bill said it's normal it's a coating on the parts wearing off. 30 days later parked my vehicle in the parking lot with smoke coming from drivers wheel well, they replaced caliber total of 3 times in 90 days. With similar results or broken caliber seals. Then they ended up breaking the hood latch and blamed me. I understand it's an 2002 and parts are old /rusty. Just say that. I had to open the hood to put brake fluid in it to get it down there again.Manager Rick/Rich was just as clueless. Adam has a great attitude and was completely understanding in defusing the situation. Took it to Bell tire on Mack they changed the ABS hose and been working since. Total 5 days off work Do yourself a favor and try a different Belle Tire. I've been happy at other Belle Tire shops. Poor customer service and knowledgeable if they can't plug it in. read more

After a very long stressful day of getting my brand-new Jeep Wranglers tire that accumulated a nail in it fixed Belle tire saved the day. I first went to discount tire and they told me I would need to purchase a new one. Being that my wrangler comes with a full-size tire as the spare I knew there was a way to work around this. No one wants to deal with a flat tire on a Monday morning, but that's just what I had to deal with this week! I was in a crunch to get to work and didn't have time to stop somewhere beforehand to get it fixed. This Belle Tire is about 2 miles from my job and I loved that they are conveniently opened until 8PM on Mondays! I work a 9-5 job and it's always difficult to find time to do these kinds of things without taking a day off. I stopped in around 530 on Monday and was instantly greeted by two employees who happily went out back to look at my car. I was anticipating being told that I needed 2 tires for my car, but was assured that the rest of my tires still had good tread and I would only need to purchase one tire. Score! They also had the exact tire in stock I needed (no need to check for comparable options) which really put me at ease. Overall I was thankful I got treated so well and I was in and out the door so quickly. A new tire and tire rotation was $163, which may have been a little pricey. I was out the door in less than 40 minutes from the moment I got in to when I left. There are vending machines and a TV in the waiting area to keep you occupied. I'll definitely come back in the future if need be! read more

Why I will NEVER make another purchase from this store. I went to this location to get a set of 4 new tires. The first sales person who helped me walked me through my options and helped me select the tires I wanted. He also mentioned the road hazard coverage. I declined when I found out it is only good at belle tire and I travel across the country, it is not a good fit for me. The problem came in with the next gentleman who cashed me out. I saw my car parked in the lot and it appeared to be finished. I asked about it and was told that it was waiting it's alignment. I asked if the alignment was included and was told that the check was free and if needed the alignment was $99. I told them I wasn't going to do that today. This gentleman told me that if I didn't that I would lose half of my tire life. Repeating you'll lose half the tire life! I suppose that if my car were seriously out of alignment that this catastrophic scenario might be possible. But, my car is not severely out of alignment. It doesn't pull when I drive and I got full life from my last set of tires. They were frequently rotated and never once was I told that they were wearing unevenly. It was a service that I could put off until I get my next oil change and have a bit more money. The gentleman then rang up the sale and gave me a total that was over $100 more than the price quoted. I told him no, and told him the amount the first sales person quoted me. He said, "oh, so you don't want the road hazard? You know if you leave here and blow out a tire, you would have to buy a new one and would owe us $200 more dollars." (Seriously, if I left the store with brand new tires and one just randomly blew, it would be because it's defective, thereby covered under manufactures warranty, or not properly installed by their service department.) I said I travel a lot so the coverage wouldn't work for me. He said, "well it is automatically added on" and then He took it off. And in this I call bullsh*t. What ethical company would add a $100 service automatically without asking the customer if they want it. Paid the correct amount and left feeling like this business was trying to scam an older woman. And now I wonder if I got decent tires. Feel like I might have been deceived on the type and price of the tires I did receive. Will NEVER go back! read more

This could really be a review of my experience with this Belle Tire and the Royal Oak store. I stopped by today because I have been putting air in a tire more and more often. My car has 45,000 miles on it and I was wondering if it was just time to give in and by a new set. I asked them to take a look and was told that they would last another 5-10,000 miles and that I should just get the leaky tire fixed. Yes, they told me I didn't need to by 4 new tires and a simple patch would due......and yes I would have bought new tires if he told me I needed them. Not your standard stereotypical auto shop sales tactics. When I went back to pick it up I was told there would be no charge and just come back in the spring when it is time to buy a new set. I've bought a lot of tires from Belle over the years and when I need something done even with tires I haven't bought from them like today (stock) or with seized lugs on a used car l just bought like I did at the Royal Oak store a few years ago they always get it done quick and haven't charged me. They are loyal to customers who are loyal to them. What else can I as for? read more

Pretty good experience at this Belle Tire location. Needed a new tire while out of town with very specific tire profile. They had 1 in stock and held it overnight and were able to put it on in a few hours. They said they'd be done at 2pm, for a call at 12:30pm. My only concern is I asked them to look at my other tires, I was concerned for a slow leak. They said they did but missed it and the car was back at a shop the next day. read more
