They offer a coupon for free 50 point inspection when I left my car for a tune up, They claimed they needed to see what I really needed before the could give me a price. They eventually gave me an estimate of $1,000 when I declined and returned to pick up my car they charged me $158. Claiming that they did a diagnostic not an inspection. A clear rip off. I moved to the East side 3 yrs. ago. Trying to find a honest and reasonable shop in my area has been difficult. This is the 3rd shop I was trying. I read the reviews and figure some people are just unhappy with life. I stopped in after work on Tues./Weds. And ask if they had financing. Bill was awesome and said yes it's on line. I said I'll see you Friday. Friday I was there when they opened. And was completely satisfied. The price was lower than I inspected. I don't write a review until a couple weeks after. However I had an issue related to my 1st visit. They took priority in the issue and it was nothing they repaired. It's an old vehicle and the rear heater core rusted out. Daughter's car hesitated and had the check engine light flash so we called Morisette to see if they could take a look at it. (I scanned the car myself and found the code). They did a thorough inspection of the car and identified the problem. The repair was completed and the car hasn't had a reoccurrance. They also recommended a couple other things to be looked at, but which weren't immediately a concern (including it needing a tune up, something I can do with her). Excellent service! I got an oil change with synthetic oil and my tires rotated. The price was very good. They told me my rear brakes look worn which we knew, but they were honest about the needs of my vehicle. I went next door and had breakfast while they did the service. Really? I was surprised to get a call from Morisette offering to give us a refund if we brought in the battery, and he would replace it with our own purchased battery for free. So my husband & I took time off work to buy another battery (but it cost more because we didn't have the core) and go over to the shop. Surprise, surprise. The guy tells my husband he agreed to do it if we took down the bad yelp review. My husband didn't hear the condition for making things right. Yeah, he wanted to buy our silence about the bad experience. Lol, breaking the invisible hand of the market doesn't come that cheap. Now I MAY have appended the original post saying he made things right, but I will not be silenced. I must say, I came here for an estimate BEFORE reading online reviews, from here and other online posts. I was supposed to come back the next day for the repair, and was having second thoughts. But I went back ready, knowing exactly what I needed done, and approx. how much it should be. I got my car fixed quickly and am still very pleased with the service. They installed an incorrect size serpentine belt which stressed the other components in my minivan resulting in multiple pulley related failures. They denied they did anything wrong and said I screwed up, yes i did, screw up, for bringing my business to a bunch of morons. The minivan is now dead and has caused me financial difficulty. What a ripoff. Had the car towed in for a battery issue. Got nailed with a potential $100 charge to sniff it out. They ended up waiving the charge, but nailed me for $225 for a battery selling for $118 retail down the street at the NAPA Auto Parts store. Sheez! read more

I brought my car here as my mother and I were in a pinch to get a working car. My car had a clunking noise coming from the back and a check engine light that I wanted fixed. they called me and proceeded to tell me that they wanted to get rid of the coil overs my car was on and put the stock suspension on, estimated price was 3 thousand dollars. I denied as that was not an issue at all. They proceeded to say they would fix the check engine light costing me another 500 so I went ahead and did it. They didn't know what the clunking was, saying my car was too low, I figured that problem out my 18 year old self. When i picked up my car, still clunking by the way, i was driving and about 5 miles down the road my check engine light came right back on! all's they did was clear the code and charge me for that. after being already stressed with school, and work not having a car was just the cherry on top and they did not help, and proceed to bombard my mail with coupons that wont be noticeable with their prices. would not recommend going here! read more

Unlike all the other negative reviews I'm giving this place five stars five stars for the friendliness of the employees who work here I don't know who else everybody spoke with but the man that I spoke with was very friendly and helpful and accommodating being the day before Thanksgiving the last thing you want is a nail to be in your tire on your way up North I called practically every place from Belle Tire to Discount Tire to the full service gas stations nobody wanted to take me everybody told me it was going to be a two hour wait or that I'm going to have to buy a whole new tire no thank you. I was so relieved when I called here the guy explain to me as long as it wasn't in the group which it wasn't that it should be no problem for him to fix and to bring it right on and even though they were closing within a half hour of me calling so as I drive around in my car trying to get up north to hunt this guy is my Archangel for saving the day and plugging my tiger and saving me over 50 bucks in buying a brand new one and hours of my time that by itself deserves 5 stars that's a way to keep clients, good job guys read more

Have been coming to Morisette as my go-to place for repairs for years. Had an engine replaced ($3500) on my 2007 GMC Envoy in June. The car was old. I bought a brand new Acadia, but I didn't want my old reliable Envoy to go to the junkyard. The first time I drove it after the engine replacement, my front left wheel almost fell off on the freeway. The lug nuts had been put on but not tightened. Still no big deal. The car mostly sat for a few months while we were back and forth to NC to visit a family member in hospice. The replacement engine had about 250 miles on it when I heard a power steering issue when moving it from the street into the driveway. There was a leak in the power steering cooler?? and most of the fluid leaked out on my driveway. The car sat there for 4 months before I had it towed to your SCS store. I had it towed so that I wouldn't damage anything trying to drive without fluid. Ed was great when I brought it in at 4:30pm. The next day Bill called me. He's the new manager and Ed is no longer w the company. Bill tore into the car. He quoted $2500 for the power steering (5x what google quotes as the typical cost to repair a power steering issue) and said it badly needed brakes and a new serpentine belt (I previously/recently replaced that belt). Within 30 seconds of talking to him on the phone, Bill destroyed my trust in Morisette. I paid to have the car picked up from Morisette and delivered to All-Pointes Auto. They replaced the cooler for $380 and I had the car back the next day. I found my new go-to auto repair place. As Mr. Wonderful would say... "Morisette, you're ___ to me". read more

Oil change, filter and tire rotation coupon- 12.95. They offered to check and fill all fluids for $4 more. I said okay. I said to check the brake pads while the tires are off. I get a call at the local diner where I'm eating breakfast and waiting for the car- they tell me my tranny fluid needs flushing and they'll do it for $209. They told me brakes would be $225 (really?) and they recommended NOT rotating the tires because two are worn differently than the other 2 (never heard that excuse before). They said my air filter was dirty and that would be $25. I said I'd take care of that and they proceeded to tell me that I couldn't blah, blah. Well, the air filter was only a "little" dirty. Not a big deal to change it asap, but I did for $12 and 2 mins of my time (I'm a girl and can do it). They didn't fill my fluids- windshield solvent almost empty. I checked my tranny fluid and it's still pretty cherry red. Took the vehicle to a reputable place I have experience with and there is NOTHING wrong with my rotors. The pads are wearing, but I have a little time before I must change them. RIDICUOLOUS PLACE. THe manager Joe is rude if you turn down all his recommendations. NEVER AGAIN. Oh, and they said my VIBE has an expensive oil filter and charged me another $5. read more
