I am not a customer but as soon as they opened, I brought the cat that I found and was hoping to have her scanned if she has microchip, so she can be reunited with her person. ADAN willingly scanned her and even made the initiative to call the microchip company as well as the owner so we can get connected! I can't recommend them enough, they are amazing! Been bringing our dog here since we rescued him in 2017. Recommended by a friend. They have multiple locations and I think the doctors rotate among locations. Due to COVID, they closed the lobby area. You have to call from your car to check-in and they come out to take your pet while you wait outside. Then they call you on your phone to discuss status. You pay over the phone as well. They walk your pet back to your car along with your payment receipt. For non-emergencies, this is a great place to take your pet. Hmmmm... I felt like the name of this place and their website is a little misleading. I adopted a dog and he needed a dental cleaning and extractions pretty badly. I was looking for options around Bellevue and found this place and decided to go in for an examination to get a quote. They quoted me ~$900. I decided to go with my normal vet and it ended up being only $550.... so just beware. Just because it's called "value" and has words like "affordable" and "competitive pricing" doesn't actually mean it's cheaper. Also they seemed annoyed that my dog was anxious and kept barking. I want to begin to say I don't normally give 1-star to companies because I don't believe many places deserve a 1-star ratings. Beware, this is long and I'm a sucker for punishment. I have been coming to Value pet clinic for 14+ years. First starting at the Renton location and when they opened a new location in Bellevue, I was ecstatic. The amazing service and great pricing I got in Renton is now available down the street from me. I quickly switched my account to the Bellevue location when it first opened its doors. At first there was some minor issues. The staff mixing my 2 dog's profiles and having wrong dates on different dogs (this later became a huge issue). I caulked this up as a new staff and a new company getting its rhythm and I was ok being the beta tester while they get their stuff together. Fast forward 12 years. 12+ years as a loyal customer who referred new pet owners and family to them. Things start to change. Drastically.... During the start of covid, I decided to move our family to Taiwan for a few months until this covid thing blew over. After contacting Bellevue Value Pet Clinic, they stated that this is something they did and was done quite frequently. My heart was at ease. The doctor did a FAVN blood draw and one of my dogs failed the blood test. The doctor told me I would have to pay for another FAVN blood draw because it failed, even though they knew when my dogs got their rabies shots (which was due at the time). After arguing with him for a few days, the doctor accepted the blame and they paid for the second blood draw. When it came time to start the process of bringing my dogs to Taiwan, Bellevue Value Pet Clinic submitted the WRONG paperwork to the USDA. The USDA certified my dog's first failed FAVN results, but my dogs ALREADY was in the air, on their way to Taiwan. After landing, the Taiwan government was supposed to EUTHANIZE my dog because the paperwork was wrong. I had to beg the supervisor and even had to bring in someone from the American embassy to give me some time to correct the paper before they KILL my dog. Sure, you are thinking. JC, that's an honest mistake. Maybe give 'em some slack. I'm glad you ask, because this is when it gets worse. They got the corrected paperwork back from the USDA. Asked my sister to come in to mail it out to Taiwan them since I was already in Taiwan. But when she got there, they mailed it out already..... to my sister instead, via snail mail first class. My dog was schedule to be euthanized in 3 days and now we have to wait for the correct document to go through the usps TO my sister TO Taiwan government. Short story long, I had to get the USDA of Washington to call the supervisor to personally ensure that the paperwork is correct and would arrive as soon as it can. My dog lives. No thanks to Bellevue Value Pet Clinic. So, you're thinking....JC..... You learned your lesson, right? You would NEVER go back there. No, because I'm THAT loyal to the company. Through some unfortunate luck, my family had to come back to the states and along with my family, my dogs. This means I gotta redo this entire process all over again because we are going back to Taiwan. Armed with knowledge on how its done and all the mistakes, I gave Bellevue Value Pet Clinic one more try. I made 3 appointments after getting back..... First appointment: I sat in the waiting room for 1 full hour. Asked to be served 1 time. Second appointment: I sat in the waiting room for 1 full hour. Asked to be served 2 times. Third appointment: I SAT FOR 1 HOUR AND 36 MINUTES until I walked out. Asked to be served 3 times. While walking out, the doctor could be seen in an open door talking on the phone. Perhaps that person on the phone was waiting longer than me. Who knows? You guy's ready for the cherry on top? I called in shortly after leaving to cancel my appointment for my dog's spaying, which includes a $50 deposit. I was informed by the front desk that she would refund the $50 dollars, no questions ask, but ask ME to call into her manager the next day. Whatever at this point. I called the next day and spoke to the manager. Informed her that I was mistreated, and she told me she would refund the $50 deposit, no questions asked and her front desk would call me to get that refund done. At this point, I was feeling bad for being upset. They seem to be trying to make things better a little bit. Maybe give them another chance................. Then the manager called me.............told me that the $50 is NON-REFUNDABLE.....which someone told me during the initial booking. Told me she could give me a 'discount' on whatever doctor fees if I come in right now. I don't want a discount. I want service. I want to be treated like a human being. Bellevue Value Pet Clinic's actions shows that they don't value you or your pet. That they value saving $50 than to save a 14+ year relationship. You have been warned. read more

We took her to Bellevue Value Pet Clinic and between the great front office staff, the serious but knowledgeable Vet Michael Borin and his assistant Jill Gitana is recovering. really hope a lot of you see this message. I took my 10day old puppy for an eye issue. The vet made an incision on the eyelid to drain any fluids. Few days later I felt it was infected. So I called and asked if I can bring her in to look at it and let me know if it's ok. Just look and let me know. Not do anything. Well not only do the vets not call you prior to proceeding with care, an estimate, or your approval, but this vet decided to remove my 10day old puppies eyelid. Yes her eyelid!! This place is a butcher shop! Not only does my puppy have a fight to live, but now she has a severed eye. I immediately called other vets and none agreed with what was done to her! So now my poor baby has more vet appts to try and save what this vet did to her! I wish I had never taken her back there. read more

I called recently to get a fecal sample which is required for boarding and they said you have to be a current patient. I didn't realize that they had moved to the typical vet model. The vet model means that they will only do vaccinations and fecal samples if you come in annually for a full physical. Our dog does have a vet but that vet is a long ways away and I just needed a simple fecal sample but I can't use them because I don't want to pay for another office visit for my dog when she just had one a few months ago at a different vet. These guys use to be so convenient so it's a bummer. You just need to realize that they are now a full veterinary clinic with all of the rules that go with that. It's not a bad thing but it makes sense to only choose them if you want them to be your pet's permanent vet going forward. read more

I will continue to bring all of my animals here. The vet provided phenomenal service as well as the techs. The clinic manager, Alecia, was very thorough when going over the estimates with me. Alecia took extra time with my very nervous senior dog, and Sean, another vet tech was very loving towards her. Alecia and Sean made getting a microchip/vaccines for my senior dog (who HATES vets) at ease. They ran a senior panel on her that included urine/fecal/blood to rule out any issues. I later brought in my very anxious, people hating cat in because she was peeing outside the litter box. She was very cuddly with Sean and started kneading on the exam table. The vet was very thorough and asked about any previous conditions, took her temperature, listened to her heart and lungs. When the lab results came back for both of my pets, I got a call personally from the vets who explained everything very well and took her time. They are very COVID cautious. All the staff is wearing masks and keep 6 feet distance. There is plexiglass for when you need to talk to them while checking out. They are not letting you wait in the lobby so you need to call upon arrival and they will have a tech take you straight back to the room. read more

NEVER go here, especially Michael Borin. Went in a week and a half ago concerned about my car not eating. They said he could stand to lose some weight and to come back in a month if he lost more. Within a week his lungs had filled with fluid and had been diagnosed with lymphoma, including all his lymph nodes being inflamed which was not caught in his examination. He would have suffocated if we waited a month. if they caught it when he came in, he would had have his chest that much earlier and been in less pain. i would never trust these people again. read more

Awful, had to go here since all other decent pet clinics were booked and my kitten was due for his vaccine. Although the nurses there were really nice to us and our kitten, the service is terrible. They kept thinking my kitten needed vaccines that he already got, the doctor didn't listen to my concerns (gave me revolution plus instead of the dewormers I asked for), the nurses don't communicate with each other (gave him something when they said they would take that off his list cause he didn't need it), they made him bleed extensively, called him "a bleeder" when the only reason he would be bleeding that much is if they didn't find his vein for the blood test properly. I can tell the nurses really care and love the animals, but everything just seems disorganized. I asked the doctor for revolution for puppies and kittens, and he told me no and prescribed me revolution plus, saying my cat had flea dirt. Then I went home and thoroughly combed him with a flea comb, no dirt to be seen after multiple times. I guess it was already on the examination table and he thought it was my cat's? Or maybe it was just normal dirt..? When I was paying for the procedures, front office staff were going to let me leave without even giving me the medication until I asked about it. Then I read about side effects etc of revolution plus and wanted to return it, front office told me I couldn't because of OSHA laws since I had already taken the medication off of building premises. I understand that, but the way she spoke to me in addition to the fact that she tried to tell me it was my fault because I specifically asked for it was just ridiculous. I asked for it only after the vet told me no for the one I actually wanted and because the front office staff forgot to give me something I paid over $100 for. Additionally, they never called me back for the results of the FELV/FIV test or fecal I paid for. I had to call in order to get results from front office staff and was assured the doctor would call me again to go over it thoroughly (still hasn't happened a full week later). The front office staff I talked to was SUPER rude and the doctor didn't seem to listen to me, the saving grace of this place is the kind nurses. Just book an appointment from a reputable clinic months in advance unless it's really an emergency, even then, go at your own risk and make sure you stay on top of them! read more

I've only had good experiences here. First, I came in with a stray cat that I had recently acquired who I believed was intact. I was there for a neuter but during the exam it was determined my cat had already been neutered. He had what looked like testicules but it was actually an empty sack. So they were honest with me and allowed me to put the money I paid for the initial appointment towards other services I was looking into getting (vaccines). The second time we came here was for what I was expecting to be a pricey surgery. My cat had a deep gash on his shoulder. They gave me price points and recommendations based on what I told them about my cat. They were able to take care of the stitches that day and the overall cost was way cheaper than I was expecting. And again, they subtracted the cost of the initial exam from the total so I left feeling like they weren't price gauging. This place is knowledgeable and reasonably priced. They itemized services and are transparent...making sure you know exactly what services you're getting. read more

I was told a week ago by Value Pet Clinic that the office Manager will call me back. They still have not called me back. When I call, they will not pick up. I was trying to inform the office manager that the Receptionist were making fun of pet owners who would come in (including myself). When my daughter and i took my Lola in due to her loss of left arm I overheard the receptionists called us crazy for us crying. I also heard them make fun of two other customers that walked into the clinic while we were waiting. Hoping the Office manager reads this but who knows. Do NOT go to this clinic. They are terrible. A week and a half ago I signed an agreement with Dr. Borin of Value Pet Clinic in Kirkland to clean my dog's teeth. It is an involved very expensive process. I knew my dog needed the cleaning and discussed it with Dr. Borin. He said it was possible that a few teeth may have to be removed at and additional cost - although he never examined my dog's teeth. I love my dog and decided to go ahead with the procedure. Before the surgery I signed a form agreeing that teeth could be removed without a phone call to inform me. I trusted Dr. Borin and assumed extractions would only be done if it was absolutely essential. When I picked up my dog after the surgery, an assistant handed me the paperwork, some medications, and my dog. It wasn't until I got home that I realized that 9 teeth had been extracted - seven of them in the front of her mouth. I was in shock! I had never noticed any bleeding or problems with my dog's teeth other than an abundance of plaque. Certainly not in the front. Dr. Borin never saw me or called me after the surgery. There was no explanation. He had even made a notation on a dental chart that my dog's teeth and gums were in good condition. I feel totally betrayed. read more

I have been going to this Vet for quite awhile. At first they seemed very unorganized. They have gotten better. I try to see the same Vet each time, but they often have Vets they rotate in. Some are good. Some not so much. However, the cost has become unreasonable. I took my dog in for a problem with her licking her paws. I had to pay $80 before being put in a room. This does not give a good impression. She was examined by the Vet. Treatment was suggested. I had to agree and sign for the price before they treated her. She has a Yeast infection of her paws. The Vet took a sample from her paws and smeared it on a slide. Looked at it under a microscope. I was charged $75 for something that took less than 5 minutes. She suggested an injection for allergies. It took 3 minutes. The charge was $169.00. It was determined that they should express her anal glands. $43.35. Medication was $61.00. Total for the visit $516.28. It is shocking to me. I really like the one Dr. in this clinic that we try to see every time. However, the expertise might be out weighed by the cost. I have some serious thinking to do. in addition, I have to cost compare with other Vets. read more

I cannot believe how deceitful this place is. I called and asked if they had an opening and I was quoted 345pm. I came in at 342. After they decided to help someone else that came in after Me after asking "if he had been helped yet." After attending to the guy they encouraged to cut in line, then took me to a room and said "there are several people ahead of you please wait." This didn't seem possible considering I was there, on time, by way of an appointment. If they can't perform basic administration I don't see how I can entrust medical care to them. Shitty, shitty, experience. I walked out, and will go to a pet urgent care tonight. (I can't believe I left work early for this incompetence). Update: I saw a review after posting where one of the clinics personnel says they are "walk in"...? WTF? Sonó wonder I had to explain what an appointment was on this call (read below). after I left I called, and was placed on hold TWICE "so I can help another customer." I kinda appreciate their honesty that other people are more important. After holding for seven minutes I was informed that "(they) have one doctor and usually there's a wait". She seemed annoyed when I explained that's not how an appointment works. If they were overbooked and had one doctor... tell me you don't have openings.... these assholes are useless. read more

So the first time I went in here it was nice, staff was friendly and I got my dog's shots pretty fast. But today! I went in (a year later) the reception desk girl had such a rude vibe, for no reason. It wasn't busy at all I was the only person there with my dog. And the first Asian Male doctor couldn't even look at me in the face? When he was answering my questions he kept on mumbling and talking down to the ground instead of just talking to me and look me in the face like a normal person??? I had to ask him to repeat himself. And when he answered my questions he kept on referring to what "another doctor would think" he seemed unreliable with information. Then I wait for the main doctor to come in and I'm waiting for like 30-40 minutes .... he took so long? Was he on lunch break? Like what gives?? And then when me and him were talking and then he asks me if I have any more questions he would walk away? Said he would be right back, he did this twice. I am so confused by the service I got today. And on top of that he comes in the rooms all three times empty handed, and then opens the door and asks another doctor, "where are the shots" and I hear the other doctor in the distance say "I don't know I didn't help them" like how unprofessional for both of them to just say that so openly with me right there? I honestly feel like all the staff that worked here today must really hate themselves. I don't even leave yelp reviews but I decided to because I love dogs and animals so much! We were once fan's of Bellevue Value Pet Clinic, customers for over 15 years, all 5 of our dog's have been seen there, but after yesterdays appointment, not again, looking for a better option. I'm sorry this review is not a favorable one. I'm not even sure where to start. We got there 10 mins early and after 2 doggy-melt downs outside. The 2 front desk attendants offered ZERO assistance, like holding the door open or offering a treat. At one point they had to have seen my dog pull out of his collar and go running off as I was trying to hold the door open and get him inside. Even after I caught him, tightened his collar, we were back at the door and he wasnt going in on his own (Mr Nervous-anxiety pup) I finally was able to pick up his front half and stratal walk him inside (60lb Sheppard mix) She says this must be XXXXX and wanted to get his weight, offering no help once again to get him onto the scale, then tells me they need the $80 exam fee pre-paid, I wasnt expecting $80 bucks as in the past they have been a better "value" but its been awhile since we have had any pups needing to be examined. We get into our room and the Tech-assistant comes in for temp & notes. We sat there for 17 minutes until another tech pops in to say sorry for the wait, there was an emergency, Dr will be in soon. Which I totally get, but then I sat there listing to a guy telling some girl about his awesome vacation for like 10 minutes thru a closed door. Finally 50 minutes after my appt time the Dr comes in, we discussed the reason for being there, he checks him over and then says lets get him some water, finally someone offers water. (Shame on me for not bringing my own water & bowl) The determination is he needs an aspiration for the lump on his leg so that it can be biopsied and we will get an estimate going & be back. Needless to say the needle aspiration & lab fee was around $460 dollars, just to determine what the bump was. Im sorry but I dont find this affordable, is it really $391.00 for lab work + $70 to take a sample? + the $80 for exam. Wow! Value Pet Clinic is not really offering any "value" as far as I can see and the customer service has sure diminished since we started going there many years ago. No one said a word to me as I left, the front desk "people" were terrible, not ever going back at this point Im sorry to say. read more

They never can take a good care about your pet's records, and you'll never see any notifications about upcoming vaccines /exams in the bills or just as emails- they don't care at all about their customer's convenience . They've usually been pretty good with us, but today I called to see if i could get my litter of puppies in soon because they have congested lungs, and that if we could do a phone consultation or exam it would be great since they are only 3 weeks old now and i don't want to expose them to anything if unnecessary.
