William and Sheldon are great and professional! They arrived on time and start working immediately. They unloaded two Door-to-Door Moving Containers(like smaller size PODS). We have heavy, solid wood furniture and they carry everything to the sencond floor through staris(no elevator in our apartment building). Moved from Chapel Hill to Seattle and needed help unloading my Upack moving pod. I scoured through Craigslist to find a mover to help, but rates were either too high (my move was pretty straight forward) or they had ridiculous minimum billable hour requirements. The ones that were reasonable were single-man crews and I sure the heck wanted to avoid lifting anything and everything. I used a similar service in Chapel Hill moving my stuff into the box, so I thought I would Google to see if there was anything like it out here. Low and behold, Bellhops popped up. It was a bit more expensive than what I paid in Chapel Hill, but then again this is Seattle. I actually submitted my request for two movers for about an hour and half, pretty late at night for a move the next day. Surprisingly I received an email that stated two movers had been assigned and would be there to complete the job. A few hours before the move, the assigned "captain" Denzel B called me to confirm the time of the move and that they would be there to complete the job to my satisfaction. When it came time for the move, both Bellhops showed up 10 minutes early. Long story short, Denzel and Max B. were very careful with moving my items, were enthusiastic about their jobs and I am grateful for their assistance. Would highly recommend using Bellhops to anyone that needs help with loading/unloading a moving cube or anything else that they might do. Mukilteo WA. The 2 movers were very careless and unprofessional. I had to standby otherwise my stuffs would be a total loss.The minute I stepped out for a little bit,they decided not to protect my dinning table,didn't not wrap or pad it.It ended up with so many big scratches. When I asked them why they didn't wrap it and showed them the scratches they looked at me and didn't respond.They messed up the apartment light.I filled a claim form for my dinning table and the settlement they are offering is $60.Where in the world can you fix a dinning table with all those big scratches and transport with $60.Please stay away from this company.The 2 movers Thomas and I can't remember the name of the other one are not experienced. read more

I reserved two bellhops to help me load up my uhaul truck for my move. I had never used this service before but figured I would give it a go since the reviews were so positive. They were supposed to show up at 9:30, and had confirmed via phone and several times via email. 9:30 came and went, and by 10:00 I was still wondering where they were. I figured at this point I would call the bellhops company to figure out what happened. The representative told me that one of the bellhops was a no show and the other had canceled the job. The worst part is that no one ever reached out to me to let me know, and my foot is broken, so I really needed their help! read more

I love these guys! My experience was very positive. They were on time, fast and professional. Andrew and Keita were our movers. I am cautiously giving Bellhops an "OK" review, based solely on customer service to fix a mistake. 30 minutes before my Sunday morning move, I was informed that my help lined up a week prior was not available, due to "spring break at the universities". I indelicately pointed out that "spring break rolls around the same f*****g time every year, and maybe you shouldn't be taking reservations then!" They offered to find a replacement company. I said "Whatever, but I am calling back the movers I didn't pick!" Around the time my emergency replacements arrived two hours later, Bellhops called back, having lined up another mover. I declined the offer After the move, and after I calmed down, I called Bellhops back, pointed out that my by-the-hour rental moving van basically sat empty for three hours unused, and would they reimburse me for that lost time? Bottom line is that they did reimburse me, they offered a free future move, and throughout were extremely professional and sincerely concerned about the screw-up. So I might try them again. High marks for a professional appearance and solid phone service, in the wild west of moving companies. read more

This company and all of its workers deserve MORE than a five start review. The online customer service: prompt, attentive, and fun. The people who confirmed my order: detailed, courteous, and very fast with replies. The WORKERS: AMAZING. These guys showed up on time, jumped right in, hauled every piece of furniture and box into our new home, and did not stop until the job was completed. And they did that in just over two hours (on one of the hottest days of the year so far). I want to give personal thanks to both Sam and Yves (the two guys who worked so hard), for providing such great help. My fiance and I were moving from downtown to Ballard and had a one bedroom apartment with two storage units worth of furniture and belongings. We rented a truck, but I knew we would need labor to make it easier for everyone. Bellhops is an awesome option for people looking for affordable moving. As long as you supply all the materials and truck, these guys will work hard and fast to get it done. We had Sheldon as captain and Hunter as his wingman. They had such positive attitudes all day and were helpful with every little thing. They were go-getters and worked really well together. They helped us load the truck, then met us at the second location to help unload. All in all, they were with us from 10AM to around 2:30PM with a half hour break in between for driving from one location to the other. Very pleasant young men, but the company apparently did not schedule the second person properly. One of the movers and I got to wait awkwardly for 45 minutes until he showed. The company did not charge me for the second fellow's time (the full 10 minutes it took him to help the other guy move the couches) but did charge me for his trip. All in all, it got the job done and the guys weren't sketchy. However, I was disappointed in being made to wait, and they were not professional movers. I had a terrible experience with Bellhops. I had scheduled a 9:00 am appointment for the boxing and moving off my belongings. At 9:12 am that morning I had received no phone call or any communication from Bellhops so I called the office. They assured me that my movers were likely "right around the corner" and that they would call me back. A few minutes later I received a call from the "captain" mover who did not identify himself by name or company, but informed me that his car would not start but he would try to arrive in 10-20 minutes. Around 9:35 I received a call from the office informing me that the "captain" was willing to take Uber to my apartment, but that the "wingman" mover could not be found. Since I had several pieces of large furniture, I told them that just one mover would not suffice. They offered to send a second two-person crew that afternoon, but I told them that due to a work commitment that afternoon that would not be possible for me. In summary, I took 2.5 hours off from work (8am to 10:30 am) for nothing, and I had to box up and move my own belonging that weekend to meet my move-out deadline (Monday). While Bellhops staff gave me a sincere apology, all I got was a refund of my $1 deposit despite the fact they wasted 2.5 hours of my time. I would NOT recommend hiring this company. Hire a professional mover. read more

I'm very disappointed in this company. Initially I was excited to hear about their services. Both my parents died in the last five months and I had to move a truckload of items from their house from CA to Seattle. I had lined up Bellhops to assist me in unloading the truck into my storage unit as I arrived here in WA. I had booked two guys from Bellhops for one hour of work many weeks in advance of my move. Then I called a day ahead realizing I might need them for two hours instead of one so I wanted to back up my reserved time with the Bellhop guys by one hour. When I called to change my reservation the operator from Bellhops did say there was no guarantee that they could extend my reserved time which I understood, but what they did not say was that they were cancelling my reservation completely! I thought I'd at least still have their help for the original hour that I had booked. So literally two hours before I was due to meet them as I'm driving a 12 foot packed truck on I5 to Seattle I get a call from Bellhops telling me they could not provide the helpers until 4pm that afternoon. The truck was due back by 2pm so that was not going to work AT ALL! I informed them that this was not acceptable and that I would need them at least for the original hour I booked. The operator told me she would check into this problem and call me back which they did about an hour later. At that point I'm only about an hour and a half from the meet up point in Seattle, and she informed me again that they could not help me until late afternoon. So I started calling desperately to friends meanwhile still behind the wheel of a truck and finally by some miracle found two friends of a friend to save the day and help me unload the truck. Bellhops were not used at all nor will I ever use them. The movers themselves I have no doubt are probably good but the customer service, and lack of flexibility with scheduling that this company gives is unacceptable especially in this type of industry.
