    bone Chicken Cutlets

I was eating a chicken cutlet in my pasta, enjoying every bite, suddenly I chomped down on a bone. It was a shocking and completely unacceptable experience that ruined the entire meal. Very unfortunate

I had almost forgotten about this place. A friend told me they were having a Valentine's Day special and in we went. We hit it just before the after work rush so we didn't feel rushed at all. The special was for large bowls so we ordered them. I got greens and beans as my base, 1/2 meatballs and 1/2 chicken as my protein and finished it off with vodka sauce and some roasted vegetables. Oh yeah and some mozzarella on top too. Mine was delicious. With the greens and beans as a base it was somewhat soupy but that was ok with me. The flavors melded wonderfully. The vodka sauce adding a creamy garlicky tang to the chicken flavored greens and beans. I had some left for lunch the next day too. My son ordered an Italian rice base with meatballs, cheese and vodka sauce. The little bit of rice that I tried was salty but tasty and he finished the entire bowl. My husband chose one of the preset menu items , the 1/2 and 1/2. A pasta base with 1/2 meatballs and 1/2 sausage, Romano cheese and again vodka sauce. He thoroughly enjoyed and also had some for lunch. Part of the special was a drink included so we got 2 fountain drinks to go. Overall I found the food to be well flavored, satisfying and a good value especially when compared to some of the bowl chains that have popped up in the area lately. I will head back the next time we are too busy to cook. In addition to bowls they have wraps. They also have a lot of healthy bases like quinoa and salad and lots of sauces too. I do love me some vodka sauce though so I don't know if I'll be able to resist not ordering that!

$16 sausage and pepper sub was terrible. All bread. I don't think I'd pay $5 for it. Have a picture wish I could share words don't do justice.

It's not bad, but it's not good. I went here to meet friends in a convenient spot. I would never have picked this place on my own, and I wouldn't return to it on my own either. The food was okay, the service was friendly. I can't speak to the price because my friend treated. The floor was really sticky which was a little unsettling. Clearly, this place is very popular with college kids. I'm sure it's a great spot for a warm, basic meal.

I ordered a large pasta bowl and a large salad bowl online through door dash. When my order got here the salad bowl was barely full and could have fit in the small size salad bowl. I am disgusted that I paid over 10 dollars for this and there's no refund in sight. What a rip off.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! They serve quality food! I am super picky about my Italian food and they do not disappoint. The alfredo sauce is some of the best I ever had. You get to build your own meal be it pasta or salad bowl, amongst other things. You then pick your pasta, sauce, protein and toppings. My go to is the rigatoni alfredo with chicken cutlet. This comes in a huge bowl and it is super filling. This is all at a very affordable price for the college budget. It's across the street from UAlbany making this a staple in my diet.

I tried Bellini's counter months ago and felt I overpaid for what I got, but today they were offering $5 bowls so I figured I'd give it another shot. The bowl comes with a choice of linguine, rigatoni, or whole wheat pasta, followed by your choice of sauce, protein, and a variety of extras consisting mostly of veggies and cheese. I went with linguine, vodka sauce, sweet sausage, artichokes, olives, peppadew peppers, and shaved parmesan. You get what you'd expect from a place offering Italian food in a chipotle "build your own" style. The pasta was fine, the sauce and sausage provided most of the flavor, and the veggies added a little bit of bite and acidity. Chances are you won't regret coming here (maybe if you pay full price), but you won't be blown away either. I'd come back the next time they offer $5 bowls, but Bellini's Counter won't be working itself into my rotation of regular lunch spots.

Let's put it this way, I would find it very hard to leave here hungry. A very good option for lunch. If you have never been there, picture an Italian version of Chipotle or Subway. I had a pasta bowl and it was very filling. I had their marinara and vodka sauce with onions, sun dried tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese on top. The thing that I like is that they are not shy with the sauce. I hate it when you order a pasta dish and you are scraping for sauce; not here! Note: That there is a difference between Bellini's (sit down restaurant) and Bellini's Counter.

The cozy atmosphere of the restaurant is great for a romantic evening or a quiet family dinner. We love that they have clearly marked on the menu all the vegan options and what is vegetarian to make ordering easy. Ordering online is simple but it's just as easy to call and place an order of you have any questions or concerns. This time I ordered a large pizza with vegan cheese. Half the pizza had artichokes and kalamata olives, the other half was topped with fresh sliced mushrooms and vegan sausage. No canned mushrooms here! I think its great that they know their ingredients. The Vegan cheese is always browned and properly melted. You don't have to tell them extra crispy or well done, they aren't going to give you a pizza that does look and taste delicious! Anytime we are in the Latham area and looking for a place crowd pleaser where we can order for us and the rest of the family that doesn't eat vegan food, Midpoint is at the top of the list! We went to Bellini's in Latham as a party of six. Overall, the food wasn't bad, but it didn't really impress either. Several of us ordered the chicken parm, and while it tasted good, it came with a bit of a surprise. I order chicken parm pretty much anytime it's on a menu, so I've had a lot of versions over the years, and this was the first time I've seen it paired with a cream marinara style sauce on the ziti. It had more of a vodka sauce consistency. On its own it was fine, but it felt a little odd paired with traditional chicken parm. We all agreed it seemed like an odd pairing. Another issue was temperature. My chicken parm itself was hot, but the ziti was inconsistent, hot in the center and lukewarm, even a little cool, toward the edges of the plate. I asked the other people that had ordered it as well if it was just my plate and they said no theirs also was inconsistent. Someone in our group got the stuffed shells and said they were okay, but would have preferred a red sauce instead of the white sauce. Another person agreed with that. The pizza, on the other hand, was a good size and pretty solid. Service was a bit of a mixed bag. Our waiter was friendly and did check in, but the overall pace was slow. We were there for about two hours, and it wasn't particularly busy and we just ordered entrees and two deserts. I'd say it was more on the mild side as far as busyness. the waiter also either forgot or didn't realize that two of the entrees came with a dessert, which we had to ask about. To his credit, he apologized when it was pointed out. Dessert ended up being cannolis and a slice of cheesecake, both of which were tasty. When the bill came, we noticed the total didn't seem to add up. After asking, it turned out gratuity had been included for a party of six or more. That's on the menu in smaller print, we just missed it, so not a big deal, but something to be aware of. The restaurant itself is nice inside, and the tables are roomy, which I liked. It is pretty noisy though, and it was hard to have a conversation with people at the other end of the table. The host staff were also very pleasant. I'd probably come back and give it another shot, but this visit didn't really stand out. 3 stars earned on this particular visit.

I was promised that Grappa 72 would exceed my expectations. As an Italian-American AND a foodie, it's hard to wow me at an Italian venue. I can honestly say that this place was all that I was promised and more. What we ordered to share: crispy arancini (special app that day), eggplant parm, fried calamari. I am a red sauce snob, and all three of these delivered on presentation, quality, and overall flavor. Entrees we ordered included: halibut (entree special and my choice), pappardelle loaded with shrimp and chicken (also a special), pork osso bucco (stole the show!). We ended with individual desserts, and their Italian cheesecake was smooth and creamy. Service was reflective of high-end dining, yet the check for six people was moderate to affordable. Considering the quality, quantity, and overall experience, this is a place I need to get back to. Now I need to find an excuse to be in the Capitol Region so I can go back!

It was mostly empty at 530 on a Friday night, service was fine but it seemed to be just one woman. We started off with wine and I was pleasantly surprised at the pour. We decided to start with the arancini. They were as expected, a creamy and cheesy risotto, breaded and fried. They were a little bland, and the sauce was very spicy, which we were not expecting, but was fine. The bread brought to the table was very crusty, maybe stale, the pesto dip was nice and the cute "A" in the balsamic was a nice touch. We then moved onto our entrees which were great portions. I ordered the Veal Francese. It costs an extra $5 to put this over pasta, for a $25 dish. So to my understanding, this dish is $25 for a piece of veal in a sauce and a half a cup of zucchini ... that doesn't make sense. Just include the pasta in the price. But, the pasta was great. You could tell it was made in house and had a great texture. The sauce was a thickened lemon/wine/butter sauce. The flavor was great but it was a little goopy. It was thickened with something like cornstarch as opposed to being reduced. There are many notes here, but it was a perfectly fine dish. I took half of it home and enjoyed it later after the show. My friend ordered the sorrentina, which was chicken and eggplant. She loved the dish and it was enormous, I did not sample it but it looked great. This is just a run of the mill average Italian spot. The parm cheese offered for the dishes was a flavorless shaker brought to the table. If you're looking to be impressed, maybe not the best spot, but if you're looking for a quiet dinner to catch up with a friend, why not!
