** UPDATE ** 7/13/15 - This is no longer my fave. : ( I don't know what happened to the pizza here but they have changed something. I think that they have someone new helping out or maybe they have begun using a new ingredient. I don't know...something is different but I can't put my finger on it. We thought it was a fluke so we waited a week and then ordered again, then another couple of weeks and ordered a third time. Three times in a month and that was enough for us. We've found another place that I like a lot and are switching. Sorry guys, but it was fun while it lasted. ...................................... This is the best pizza in the area! We come back here often and have had great food every time. The people working behind the counter are friendly and courteous and always have a smile for the customers. The dining room is attractive and clean and the atmosphere is comfortable enough to hang around for a lengthy meal. It's also a perfect place to bring guests to for a casual meal. I am anxious for my next visit to sample more of the dishes that they offer! I did take one star away because there is one young waitress who is not very friendly. This has been one of our go to places in Naugatuck. The pizza is great. They have a wide selection on the lunch/dinner menu. I'm taking away a star because the service isn't the best. Our waitress was so quiet we could barely hear her and wasn't the nicest. read more

I had lunch here while working in the area. The options around there are few and far between so I figured it had to be better than fast food. I got the philly cheese steak. I was the only person in the restaurant and it still took 20 min to get my food. The steak was a steak em type cheap meet loaded with more peppers and onions that meat. It tasted like I expected a cheap steak sandwich to taste and I was left hungry upon completion. I almost feel that McDonald's would have been better, almost. read more

Horrible customer service, I use to love this place, great food and nice family owned restaurant. Ordered several times over the years. Our favorite was a calzone with salami. Ordered it tons of times. This time they delivered it and it had Ham chopped up in it NOT Salami. I called expecting them to make me a new calzone and deliver it, I even offered to give them the old one back to prove I am not trying to get a free calzone but they argued with me stating it is chopped up Salami. They kept putting me on hold, and finally refused to make right their mistake. Even when I can prove it to them by showing them the calzone, but no they would rather lose a customer. I ordered a bbq pizza and paid on the phone with tip included for the driver. When my pizza came, it was not what I expected and called to inquire about the ingredients used on the pizza as I specifically asked for 'no red sauce'. When I called the restaurant I spoke with two younger staff who eventually connected me to the manager . When I spoke with the manager,I asked what options I had as I was not satisfied with the pizza and she explained nothing could be done. Instead of trying to mend the situation, the manager began to imply that I was the only one with an issue with the pizza as others have ordered it with no complaint. I feel while dealing with customers, the customer should always be right however I was mistaken when it comes to this restaurant. I understand in times of covid and varying financial stressors every coin counts ,however, I was not looking to receive a hand out as when I asked for a plain cheese pizza which would have been significantly cheaper than the speciality pizza that was ruined, I was still not granted that option even though they were more than compensated. Moving forward I don't think I'll order from this restaurant just based on how the manager deals with complaints. My past two experiences were positive, but this interaction has caused me to take my business elsewhere in the future. The take away I'm hoping to have if the restaurant reads this review is 'the customer is always right'. read more

Great place! The wood fired pizza is delicious with fresh mozz. The owner is very friendly and knows us when we come in. The menu has a large selection of foods not just pizza. Haven't had a bad meal there yet and visit often. read more

Pizza is great! Thinner crust, good sauce, cooked well. A little light on the toppings, but still well worth it. Definitely a top pizza place in Naugatuck. Delivery service is OK. Edit: Delivery is much improved and we have had a few of their pasta and chicken dinners, all very good! Generous portions that also come with salad and bread. Best kept secret in Naugatuck. Chicken piccata, roasted vegetables, pizza, sandwiches I have been there enough to have tried the whole menu! Never had any dish that I would rate below excellent! Today we ordered Linguine Pescatore $17.95: mussels didn't open except for three; pasta was bitter and smelled horrific; clams and shrimp were good but could not eat them because of the smell; scallops were probably from a can - not recognizable and calamari very chewie. Sausage Parmigiana was very soggy (eat it with a fork); sausage was just ok. Broccetta was excellent - worked well for me to kill the taste of Linguine Pescatore. I have visited them a couple times, usually just to get a meatball grinder. Comes with a handfull (literally) of french fries (not great but it's a freebie so I cannot complain). A small bag of potato chips would be better. The grinders started out very good, then started to go downhill a little. They changed their rolls the second time I went there which kind of affected the quality. They are still good, but just not as good. Suggestion to the owners, bring back the sesame seeded rolls you had before, they are of better quality. Not very busy which kind of puts up a red flag, but the food is decent. Do I begin with the food or the wonderful women on the other end of the telephone? I've never gone here because j ha e never heard one positive thing about them. Even my mother's first experience was terrible. Unfortunatly, she decided to give them another try and what a waste of time and money that was. I'm pretty sure a calzone is pizza dough with motz and ricotta in it, no? Well every single time I have ever had one it was. Clearly to them, not so much. My mother and I ordered a calzone to share and the .99 cent frozen pizzas are more appetizing than this. There was a little motz and maybe a table spoon of ricotta. It didn't look like anything. So my mother called. Maybe it was a mistake. We know many shop owners and it happens. What does the woman on the other end do? "Have you ever even seen a calzone before?" Really... Really... Then continues with the most astonishing attitude saying " I don't know what you want me to do about it." You're supposed to be a business. People pay you to make food, good that is EASILY made. There is no reason for anyone to have any kind of attitude when a customer calls thinking there might have been a mistake with that unappealing heap you placed in a box. I should speak with your manager for you being so inappropriate towards my mother but, it seems more reasonable just to help slow your business for the food and woman. Lucky for you the internet exists and I've lived here my whole life so, knowing the residents will be easy to spread word. I do not suggest anyone go here. Reading other reviews and understanding some items are okay and others just, not food. Then to top it off with such a woman. My new favorite delivery restaurant that delivers to parts of Oxford. Had some family over and we ordered. Everything was great, the pasta was excellent, and everybody loved the food. The only complaint I have is we were told 45 minutes to deliver, and we called after an hour and the food came like 20 minutes later. That's the only reason that it's ONLY 4 stars. By far the worst restaurant I have ever ordered from. Both meals that were delivered had absolutely zero flavor. The fusilli Alla broccoli looked and tasted like frozen broccoli was used the pasta was dry with hardly any oil sauce. The farfalle Alla boscaiola was missing the prosciutto and had such a bland, boring sauce. Long story short I have had jar sauce that was far superior then the sauce this restaurant uses. Just had take out chicken parm dinners from this restaurant. Amazingly delicious! Sauce is great, chicken pounded thin and cooked to perfection. Salad was fresh and plentiful. Bread sticks rounded out the meal and so much food! If you live in naugy, you need to try this take out! You won't be disappointed! read more

Best pizza in Naugatuck. I ordered a salad pizza by mistake once and now we get one all the time, cold salad on warm pizza crust is great. I haven't ordered anything that I would complain about, but still haven't made it through all the specialty pizzas yet. Had heard so much about how good their food was. Went in Calamari was excellent. Bread very good as well as pizza. Three of our dinners were so bad we couldn't eat them after one or two bites and didn't even want to take them home. The owner came to our table and pretty much told us there was not anything wrong with our food and she refused to listen to us. We, as a family have never, ever tried to return three meals. We have eaten out all over the country and we know when food is bad. The owner told me the Seafood Cavatelli tasted salty because it's seafood. I grew up on the shore, and trust me I know how seafood tastes. In any case, the bill was paid, I tipped the waitress and will never go back, nor recommend this place. Also, if someone wants to go there I will surely redirect them quickly. read more

The food options are excellent. However, it is definitely on the pricey side. And their lobster bisque is not really a bisque as it was not creamy. Additionally it had chunks of shell in it. Thankfully that wasn't what I ordered, but was still incredibly disappointing. They deliver very quickly though. read more

I wish I could give a - star. Never met such rude, unprofessional owners of a restaurant. I will never go again nor would I suggest this place to anyone. Went there for pizza it was my first time, choose this place only because the people I was meeting were traveling from different locations. We ordered soda along with two glasses of wine. The two people one being myself took a sip noticed the wine was fermented and old or we were being served homemade wine. We told the waitress it tasted old and she tried to offers us another glass at which we declined. That one slip gave us such a spoiled taste in our mouth that I was completely turned off to trying another one. When we got the bill I noticed the amount was way to high, I added it up and it was off by over $20. I went and question them and the "manager" / owner said we had to still pay for the wine that was sent back even though it was crossed off our bill. When I told them no that I wasn't going to pay for it the cook came at me yelling that I HAD to pay. They got loud and he got nastier with me. I couldn't believe how they were speaking to me in front of other patrons. I then told them I was going to call the cops and I will not pay for drinks that weren't drunk and were taking away an hour and half ago. The waitress then took our wine glasses still full from under the bar and said she can't resell them so we had to pay from them. I was wondering why they still saved them after all the time. They said they opened a fresh bottle just for us yet they wouldn't show us the bottle instead she pulled out a factory sealed one (made no sense to me). i have ordered here many many times and unfortunately its not due to the food and more of a lack of variety in the area and to say the least I have been consistently disappointed. Each time I order from this place I have the slightest glimmer of hope that they will figure it out and throw some seasoning onto their food instead of just defrosting it and calling it homemade. Anyway i have had the wings, fehttuchini Alfredo, pizza, steak and cheese grinder, cheese burger and new England clam chowder among other things. Basically each one was lacking in flavor more significantly than the last. The highlight being a greenish....yes green New England clam chowder. I know it sounds bad but I'm sick and wanted some relief from the cold so even though I knew I shouldn't, I tried it anyway, and well after one taste I decided to suffer with my sore throat. Don't order that please its tastes like I was eating clams straight out of a can with a spoon and not especially fresh ones either. The hot wings are a 4-10 if that means anything they get one star because they deliver. read more
