Pleasantly surprised by what we would find. My nephew asked if the beef tongue was good but they weren't understanding so we just ordered one. He also got a carne asada taco and I got a mulita. They have a sala bar with cucumbers/radish, pickled onion and salsas. I had to try them all. They call you when it's ready. The beef tongue looked very interesting so we were skeptical about it. But after trying it, we were pleasantly surprised and he enjoyed it the most of the 2 tacos he got. The multia was only grilled on 1 side and the other tortilla was just slapped on top. All the other places we go to they grill both sides. It did have a nice cheese layer on it though. Good but would have preferred both sides grilled. Salas were good as well. I didn't get my receipt though but oh well. SYOY!

I had just flown in that day from Houston and I wanted dinner, but I was on central time and ready to go to bed early, so I didn't want to sit down in an actual restaurant. A food truck, not to mention a highly rated food truck was the perfect solution for what I needed. I couldn't resist the NYC Chicken Tikka Masala, because I enjoy all four words of that dish, so what could go wrong? The guy made it for me and handed me this thick boy to-go box, which I promptly walked to my rental car and opened up to see a 10/10 visually appealing heaping meal. And then I took a bite and.... where was the flavor? I took another bite. Same thing. And another. And another. Bland tikka masala?? How does this happen? After I had several bites, I came to the conclusion that it tasted like chicken dipped into water. There was literally no taste to the sauce. Was an ingredient forgotten? Did I come to close to closing time (30 minutes)? I really don't know. The meats were flavorful--the suadero wasn't overly fatty, with about a 90/10 meat-to-fat ratio, and the al pastor really hit the spot. Even the corn masa tortillas, although not made fresh in-house, were very tasty. The salsas were well made too. There were four different kinds, and since I don't eat spicy food, I especially loved the two varieties of salsa verde. This location has a small dine-in area on the side under the trees, with about four tables. Parking was easy too when we visited on a Saturday afternoon. I'll definitely be back!

Brisket - 3 slices, size 1.5"w x 4"l x .33"h. tough and dry, like a diving board. Chicken - 2 boneless thighs like hawaiian bbq style. way too much rub. (i traded a rib with another person to try this cut) MacNCheese - real cheese, not creamy, but sticky. nothing special. bbq beans - not spicy. rather bland, but good because it helped balance the over seasoned meat. Service - guy behind the counter, nice guy, a super chill kat. but expect to wait, they are well past relaxed. With the cool kat, and the value incl. the bag of chips and a drink, it pulls the rating up from 1 to 2 stars. But hard pass next go around.
