Another delicious dinner at #BellsTavern in their dining room ( some eat & drink sitting at their friendly oval bar). We always check the blackboard for specials, plus their "regular " specials posted in their menu. Always a friendly, casual atmosphere here. Family friendly too.

What a wonderful, cozy Italian influenced tavern in Lambertville! We were seated at a high top near the front window which was lovely. There are plenty of things to order on the menu but we wanted pasta! We ordered basic pastas - that's what we were in the mood for - Mariana Spaghetti & Pesto Fettuccine! They were delicious but a HUGE serving. We could have easily shared one entree between the two of us! So either share, bring some friends, or be prepared for leftovers! Our server was lovely and balanced the perfect amount of attendance and privacy! :) Totally would come back here again!

Visiting Lambertville we stopped in for happy hour they get busy early on Tuesday night we luckily got 2 bar seats it was challenging to try to get reservations you've got call and leave message for them to call you back

The poutine fries had this delectable salty gravy and a good amount of meat and cheese. The shrimp tacos tasted bright and fresh. Everything was delicious. Sorry we were so hungry and I forgot to take pictures! I ordered a Blood Orange margarita, which was strong but well balanced and tasted like it was made with fresh juice--it made an excellent impression! I hate margaritas made with sweet and sour mix, and I'm pretty picky since I make my own juice mix when I make margaritas at home. I was like, "There drink game is next level." So I felt confident ordering the Strawberry Rosemary 75--but it was a big let down. It had a very chemical taste reminding me of lemon all-purpose cleaner. Usually I like gin cocktails but I didn't care for the flavor combo with this one. I hate wasting food, but I could barely take a sip without gagging. It says on the menu that it's a house favorite --and that is deceiving! Lol. The service was fantastic. Food came out in perfect timing. Our server clearly saw we were enjoying ourselves and did not rush us, and instead paced our meal well. I wish I could remember his name--but he was a lovely gentleman working 5/22. We loved the atmosphere with the plants. We would totally come back! Keep up the great work!

This time, we skipped my usual Wawa run (the Cuban is still elite) and headed to Karla's Restaurant--and it delivered. Set in a charming old house, each room feels intimate and unique. We snagged a patio table and caught the sunset--honestly, it was a little magical. We started with cocktails (my Sidecar was spot-on), then shared: * Caesar salad * Calamari For the entrée, we split the fried chicken sandwich with coleslaw--crispy, flavorful, and more than enough food. And dessert? Carrot cake. Absolutely delicious--moist, perfectly spiced, and finished with that classic cream cheese frosting. A must-order. Service was fun and personable (we even had a doppelgänger moment with our server--still laughing about that). A few notes: * Bathrooms are upstairs via narrow stairs (old-house charm) * Cozy, room-by-room layout * Prices are very fair Bottom line: Great food, great vibe, and a quintessential New Hope dining experience. I'll definitely be back--next time for brunch. Life's short. Eat well.

We got the last table - a cute place right by the window and it felt like we were outside but without the chill of the autumn air. The ambiance was relaxed with lots of exposed wood and brick and greenery everywhere. Service was good and although food took a little while, it wasn't too long. Husband got a Caesar wrap which he liked. I got the stir fry veggies with rice and I added chicken. The veggies were crisp and plentiful, sauce seemed to be teriyaki. Good chicken. I was so excited to eat it, I forgot the photo! The only problem for me is the rice was fairly scant. I like lots of carbs. If we were just going home, I'd have a snack but we were out of town so I ordered more rice which took a while again. And they gave me a full side order which was too much. But still, all the food was excellent and exactly what I'd wanted.

The building is very historic with a small and lively bar and a narrow winding staircase to get to the quaint second floor area where we dined. Most of the tables had a sofa seating option and some eclectic groupings of chairs. Our server was friendly and efficient. We planned to begin our meal with the grilled octopus (that had an interesting preparation including broccoli rabe and raisins) but they were out of the octopus. We pivoted to the fennel salad which included shaved cheese, celery, pine nuts and a zesty lemon dressing. We'll try the octopus next time but we were very pleased with the salad. Perhaps this review is a bit belated, but it's never unnecessary to mentally return back to a trip…read more(from a few months ago) to ensure I close out my reviews from that time with one more stellar write up. Herein lies the five stars of Stella of New Hope which was a superb dinner for my wife and I on what was a lovely April night. This evening of early April was nice enough to warrant eating outside (albeit with the help of some heat lamps) on Stella's deck area overlooking the Delaware River. It's quite a calming view and definitely set the mood of the night. What also helped was some fabulous service as our waiter was kind, attentive, and gave a few great suggestions for the menu. After getting a couple of refreshing drinks (the wife did a margarita while I had the bourbon-based Stella Spritz) we headed down the food path. Those aforementioned menu suggestions started playing a role here as the waiter suggested the house-made bread, but told us we can get the brown pumpkin sage butter that's usually on top of said bread on the side (a fantastic idea, especially because my wife can be a little iffy with pumpkin/sage). Now it was a great thing to have that butter for dipping, but dang I wish the Delaware River was filled with it because that was some good spread! The wife even enjoyed it, and the flavors really complimented the warm, fluffy brioche type loaf that we consumed. For the main course, my wife got what can only be described as every onion ever (more on that in a sec), while I took the waiter advice one more time and got something I don't normally have, hence why I went for the house-made lobster ravioli. Wow were these tender morsels exquisitely delicious. The butter, lemon, and truffle found in the sauce added such flavorful notes. Speaking of flavors, it's onion time! My wife ordered the French onion pasta which literally lists four or five different kinds of onions in its menu description and really creates a wild punch on the palate. It was a little rich and perhaps overpowering for my wife to finish on her own (I can understand how it might be a bit heavy to attack for one person), but I helped to get her through most of the meal and I can't say I didn't love the onion life. Maybe it's not for everyone, but if you enjoy a good onion, get this. Overall, Stella of New Hope is a wonderful spot to dine at. There are great views, lovely service, delightful drinks, and some fantastic food worth experiencing. Not the cheapest meal I've ever had, but well worth every dollar spent. I can't say when I'll be back to New Hope, but it's not that far from where I live so there's always a chance I'll return. And if I do, Stella will be on my mind.

My friend ordered the salmon special, and said that she really enjoyed it. I forgot to note how the mashed potatoes were made but I do know they had some paprika in them. Almost like a twice baked but different. Delish! I had the French Onion Pasta. OMG. If you are a French onion fan please run to Stella. I have thought about it ever day since. What a wonderfully bouquet of onion. The whole meal was onion yet not overpowering at all! The cream sauce was not too heavy. This meal is to die for. I cannot wait to go back. The view is amazing, we ate at the window by the river and of course all of the servers and runners are polite and friendly, as is the nature of the upscale restaurant. We both highly recommend Stella.
