Went here *twice* with my husband when we were staying nearby for our anniversary week - August 16 and August 20. Both times we ordered the Parisian Spritz, Blackmail, Le Nude, and Prickly Behavior cocktails, as well as the ice cream sundae and duck leg confit. I loved the cocktails and confit, and the sundae was a delight. The first time we just had a very light dinner, so we ordered the cocktails in addition to the confit, sundae, and a salad (which admittedly was just ok). We were so pleased with the food overall and our charming server, Shawn, that we decided to come back a second time for a proper dinner. For the proper dinner (second night), we also ordered the market grilled fish, spring vegetable vol au vent, and pomme frites. The standout was the vol au vent. Mikey was our gracious server that time, but we also were pleased that Shawn took the time to say hello to us again. He kindly worked on arranging for our airbnb host to pick us up if the rain outside hadn't subsided. We also overheard him speaking to other guests that he is actually the manager! That he didn't mention that the first night to us signalled humility (or perhaps a sudden change in title, ha). Either way, he runs a smooth ship. One suggestion to improve: please heat up the complimentary bread, even by just a little! It'll make a huge difference. I would love to come back here again one day. It is expensive but worth the warmth, service, and food+drink. read more

We had dinner for our daughter's 25th birthday. All I can say is that the entire experience was magical. Ella and the entire team were very welcoming and made our experience top highly memorable. Thanks to Shawn and Kai for taking care of us I the dining room and Kendra at the bar. The dining room is exquisite and the food was spectacular - loved the scallops. Out in the middle of no where in upper Bucks County is a hidden gem, The Carversville Inn. Recently renovated, the Carversville Inn has put on some upscale clothing, along with a nice menu and great wait staff. There is a feel of an out of the way hidden, charming, country Inn that caters to a more elevated clientel that wants to get away from the hub bub. We started with the onion soup and the butternut squash soup, very good and had the Trout Almondine and the Bouillabaisse for the main course, which were both excellent. If you are looking for a quiet, country setting with fine dining and excellent service, give this Inn a try! read more

What an amazing building renovation - the place is absolutely beautiful! Parking is all valet (bring tip money!) due to limited space, but it's well run and frictionless. The valets text you a link when they take your car, a link you use to request your car so that it can be ready when you leave. A nice touch and not common at smaller establishments. We dined outside on the perfect patio. The restaurant is on a quiet road so no worries sitting outside, even on the first floor. It did get a bit buggy towards the end of our meal - some fans might have helped. Pre dinner cocktails, appetizers, entrees, and dessert were all delicious. The bread was amazing. Service was good not great and we did feel a bit rushed. Our friendly and really helpful server walked us through the menu and informed us that appetizer and meal orders are taken together - no problem, common practice. Unfortunately food runners brought out our entrees more or less immediately after we finished up with apps and we didn't see our server again until we were well into our meals. This meant that no one took our drink orders for dinner until we were halfway into our entrees - a BIG MISS on the service side of things that really affected our experience. Luckily our server did seem to realize his mistake and the wine appeared quickly after he took our order. Ambiance / Building : 10/10 Food : 9/10 Service : 6/10 Beyond the drink order miss, empty glasses and bottles were not cleared and cluttered the table through dessert. Finally, I would have enjoyed fresh silverware with the entrees to carry the otherwise upscale experience. We'll certainly be back and look forward to some of the service kinks that we experienced being worked out in the meantime. read more

Very pricey for the quality of the food, with the exception of the sea bass which was delicious! Don't try the escargots- they were not good sorry to say. Likely will not return there. PS they should do away with the mandatory valet parking! read more

My fiancé and I had dinner tonight at the Carversville Inn. It was the first time that we were there since the old Carversville Inn was destroyed. What a disappointment in their menu options and $72 for a fillet that was totally not worth it. The place is nicely decorated, but the acoustics with neighboring patrons are so loud. You can't even hear yourself talk. Needless to say we will not be going back there anytime soon for that matter anytime in the century. read more

We went looking for a nice spot for pretty a summer day and found one. A rather nice brunch experience! We didn't have reservations but were able to be seated inside without a wait. Pleasantly surprised the renovation of the old hotel. The decor is posh: gold chairs, velvet pillows, crystal and a luxurious dark atmosphere. Started with a Mimosa and an excellent Bloody Mary. French toast offering was enormous and tasty but not very glamorous. The burger was done rare as I like it. Wait staff were officious. Appreciate the courtesy of the young valet, literally running to bring our car as he spotted us heading down the ramp. read more

First and foremost thanks for saving this beautiful old Bucks County building! The outside is stunning, but the inside is very dark and a bit gothic. Thinks to know, The parking is 100% valet and is located by the back door, so you have to go through the kitchen area. Not a clear flow of where you should go in. We had a reservation and were seated right away. Our waiter was very attentive and polite. My husband and I each had a cocktail that was good. I had a dirty martini and my husband had an old fashion. My husband had the French onion soup and I had the lobster bisque. The lobster bisque did have chunks of lobster but the broth was very thin and the soup was not very hot. It was tasty but a lobster bisque should be a bit more hardy. My husband enjoyed his onion soup. He also had the New York strip and loved it. It was cooked perfectly and had an amazing herb butter sauce on it. I had the escargot and Unfortunately, this was very disappointing. It was barely warm. They were placed on a baguette with a green sauce that was very bland. I was really looking for that garlic and butter hot escargot. I did not finish as it was not warm. I did not complain but if he asked how everything was, I would have explained my food was not hot. We will try again in a few months. read more

An amazing 5 star experience at Bucks County's newest French Restaurant. Our server, Jessica, welcomed us (4 people) warmly and provided excellent service throughout our dinner. The historic Inn got a stem-to-stern renovation including a new building addition for an expanded kitchen. All four us us enjoyed our summer salads as appetizers. My family has been coming here for special occasions for over 30 years. We are so happy nothing has changed besides the inside. The food was incredible. We had the duck confit, salade Lyonnaise, pork chop, bouillabaise, sundae, and pear & cherry crisp. Everything was so flavorful, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. Our server, Shawn, was incredible. Friendly, knowledgeable, on top of servicing our table without being intrusive. I will definitely request him next time we come. Ky (I didn't get his name spelling) was on top of the little things in the room as well. Making sure things were polished, furniture set right, setting out needed glasses, all the little details. Great teamwork. The inn looks beautiful. I loved the sconces on the walls. So fun! Was so happy to see the fireplace is still there and intact. We've always requested to be near it. The restrooms!! Stopped for early dinner and were treated horribly from the time we entered the door. For a fine restaurant you need to hire a General Manager who knows how to conduct himself professionally and with grace. When we ordered he immediately spoke in a condescending tone and it ruined the entire experience. Perhaps he is better suited to work in Denny's. I will never return there. We eat out a lot and visited the Carversville Inn several times years ago. We also visited their bar which was a 'quaint" place to gather. We had dinner there about a week after the new opening, so that's part of the context of this review.. The decor is a tad over the top in the dining room.The bar was crowded and noisy. The service was pretty good, we had a young woman server who was pleasant and tried to do a good job. The dinner was average overall, nothing really stood out. I bought a bottle of Chardonnay, which was pricey. The menu was small and I do not eat meat, so it was restrictive for me. We will try it again in a few months and give it a try, but the first experience was underwhelming read more

We went for a Father's Day' celebration. Candice, our server, was so lovely, attentive and made stellar recommendations throughout the meal. We started with the duck confit and octopus appetizers and decided then and there that this would be our favorite new date spot. We shared the branzino entree that came out lightening fast and was phenomenal. We finished with the ice cream sundae and strawberry rhubarb crisp. 100 out of 10. Candice overheard us chatting about the awesome decor and how fun it would be to stay in the inn. She relayed this to the general manager who then so kindly gave us a tour of the stunning second floor rooms and balcony despite being in the middle of a packed dinner service. Top notch service, outstanding food, complimentary valet, luxury at every turn. A real gem of a restaurant in our area . French influenced, the menu was well thought out and delivered some of the most delicious dishes we have had recently . Our table of 4 had the grilled oysters that were sublime and the beet salad with a horseradish crema that honestly was one of the best salads I've ever eaten . Our main course included mussels in a spicy broth , short ribs that were cooked to perfection and steaks that were absolutely grilled to our request and served with French fries cooked in duck fat .... I mean comon , they were fantastic . The cocktails were made really well by the bartender and our server couldn't have been more hospitable. The decor is a bit dark but who cares with a chef in the kitchen turning out exquisite food like this ! read more

We have not been to the Carversville Inn since before the flood and the reconstruction of the Inn. We decided it was time to go back and we did so with friends. What we experienced completely blew our minds. Parking has always been a problem there and we were relieved to have valet service. The interior is very beautiful with rich paneling and low lighting. Very intimate. Service was outstanding with a well staffed dining area and bar. Our server was well informed and provided some great recommendations to us. The food, well what can I say but we were blown away by the quality. My only comment is the portions could actually be a little smaller for French cuisine as we all had doggy bags to take home. We can whole heartedly recommend any dish as none of us had anything bad to say and our wives are picky. Lasty, although the dining area was full. There was easily a lower noise level where converation was easy and no one was overly loud. Great atmosphere of a place with high standards and a very high expectation of excellence for the staff and kitchen. Highly recommended, and expect in the future a James Beard award coming to this establishment. read more
