Belly Smoothie is a smoothie and coffee/juice/tea bar located in the Waterfront Market at Ruston in Tacoma. It is a small, woman owned business that serves a customizable menu that is also aesthetically pleasing. It was quite hard to navigate the way to the store front walking from Ruston Way Waterfront, since the area is still being renovated. What looked like it would be a short walk over, ended up being a way longer walk with all the fencing still up. Once we finally arrived at the Waterfront Market at Ruston, I ordered the Blue Belly, which includes pineapple, banana, avocado, agave, vanilla protein, collagen, hyaluronic acid, vitamin D3 + K2, and spirulina. The barista asked for what kind of milk I wanted in the smoothie, but I don't remember if I defaulted to whole milk or asked for an alternative. My total ended up being $14.31. All the smoothies are served in 20oz cups, so as of right now you can't change the size. The smoothie was very banana forward, as I expected whenever a smoothie has banana in it. The smoothie was good regardless and tasted very fresh. One suggestion I have to make it easier for the staff and customers at Belly Smoothie is to write down the customers name on the cups. There was a bit of confusion when solely the drink names were announced for customers to grab.

The smoothies flavor wise were both good! I got the choco moco & the blue belly. I enjoyed it here. The only reasoning I give it a 4 is because it is definitely on the sweeter side. If it was half of the sweetness I would've given it a 5. But the blue belly was sweeter than the choco moco. The smoothie spot is inside of the market. Such a good hidden gem, I'd come back for the choco moco. The service was okay as well, they just took our order then we got our drinks within 5ish minutes.

I LOVE BELLY! Liana was our Belly-rista and she was so nice! I ordered a 16oz iced matcha latte with banana cold foam ($8.26) and it was amazing! My matcha was made to order with a chawan and whisk which is really nice. It wasn't premade and neither was the cold foam. I will definitely be coming back and I highly recommend!

Very disorganized, served drinks out of order, took forever. Lots of unhappy customers going through the same thing. We won't be back.

We arrived slightly before our seating time and noticed plenty of open tables, but the hostess was less than accommodating and unwilling to seat us early. It felt a bit unnecessary given how many open tables at the time. Once we were seated, the experience improved. The food was absolutely outstanding--well-prepared, flavorful, and easily the highlight of our visit. The views were also incredible and made for a beautiful brunch setting.

However, on a spontaneous decision, my husband and I finally gave it a try one day. Our first experience was quite pleasant--I enjoyed a Bloody Mary (Bunny's Brew) and a burger, while my husband savored some wine along with the spicy pork belly sandwich. We also started with a meatball appetizer. Overall, we appreciated the good service, charming ambiance, and delicious food. Our second visit was even better, especially sitting by the window with stunning views. Once again, the service was excellent, and the food was truly tasty. I had another Bloody Mary (Cooper & Salt Bloody) and spaghetti pomodoro. I can't quite recall what my husband ordered, but I remember sharing a delightful Tiramisu for dessert. By the third time, we came with the family to enjoy dessert after lunch. Most recently, during our fourth visit with friends, we found that the service and menu remained consistently enjoyable. All in all, this is a fantastic place to dine, with beautiful outdoor views--even on rainy days. My one curiosity is whether the menu changes? Although every visit has been wonderful, seeing some new dishes would make the experience even more special!

I booked a reservation here for my dad's birthday dinner. He's been here in the past and loved it so I thought it was a good safe choice, but it fell a little lackluster for him specifically which is a bummer since it was HIS birthday. We started out with some Chicken Satay and Crab Rangoon, both of which were fire. We haven't ordered those here before so can confirm the satay is a new favorite. Can't really mess up the rangoon, but still it was delicious! My dad is a sucker for Panang Curry with Chicken but they will only make it here with salmon for whatever reason? Bummer number one. He went with the Crying Tiger as his back up and when they brought it out, we were all wowed! Presentation is a 10/10 for sure. He ordered it medium rare though and it came out WELL done which, for the price, was a letdown. I ended up doing something I never do and broke free of the shackles that their Pad Thai has on me. The Boat Noodles looked so delicious that I decided to full send and give it a try - as a huge soup girlie the curiosity was just too strong. The broth is very herb forward but also still has a complex, delicious flavor. Spice level was on point. The waitress told me it was very beef forward and boy it was - but it was tasty! TONS of generously sliced beef. Loved the rice noodles too. My sister ordered the Crab Fried Rice which was an insane portion and uniquely plated. Large serving of fried rice covered in a Thai style omelet with a HEAPING pile of crab on top, served with a yummy Thai spicy mayo. She let me try a couple bites and it was pretty superb. It's a little pricy at $40 but it's at least two meals so I guess it's justified. I put in my reservation notes that it was a birthday dinner and they were kind enough to bring out a free slice of cheesecake that was beautifully presented with dry ice and all. Even with a few hiccups in this dinner we will definitely still continue to frequent. Over the 5+ times we've been here this was the first kind of "meh" experience but it was still good!

The restaurant is beautiful and well decorated, and the staff were very friendly. I do wish they had checked on us a bit more since there were a few moments we waited even though the restaurant wasn't busy at this moment. The food was excellent and made perfectly. We ordered the crab rangoons, calamari rings, chicken fried rice, and the pad ka pao, which ended up being our favorite dish we ordered. We will definitely be back!
