We came for dinner on a Sunday night and in the past have had quite a wait to be seated, but today there was plenty of room immediately. The outdoor seating patio area is where you wanna go for amazing views of the ocean, especially at sunset. This is a popular spot and sitting out on the patio, you'll see why, hard to get a dinner spot with this kind of view. We all enjoyed our time here and the food was pretty good. Our group age ranged from age 69 to 4 years old, but everybody was able to find something that made them happy on the menu. This is a great brewery/restaurant to socialize at. I love their large restaurant with lots of options on the menu. And they have seasonal drinks as well. I came here with like 7 other people after work for the first time. Parking was a little annoying but I was able to find a spot not too far. Of course they are known for their beer but I got a wine instead. For food, I tried their fish tacos which are made beer battered. For the price they were pretty large tacos and filled me up. Flavorful and tasted pretty fresh. But not the best. The inside is large and I like that it had a view of the ocean. Service was cool but slow. We sat in the bar area so they checked on us more frequently. It's great for smaller parties are large groups. It's good for hanging out but food isn't all that. read more

It's been years since I've been to Belmont Brewing. I used to live walking distance when I lived in the Shore. Came here for a friends birthday lunch. I had the fish and chips since our server suggested it as one of the most popular. My birthday friend also ordered the same. We both loved the beer battered fish. It was light and crisp. Seemed they were a little skimpy on the fries. They had happy hour on drinks so our server suggested the HH prices are only when you ordered at the bar. So I went to the bar and ordered a Bloody Mary. The bartender told me that the HH price is only if I was sitting at the bar. I told him my server told me to order the drink at the bar and take it back to my table at the patio. He said they weren't suppose to do that. But he did it for me this time. Well for one, on the HH menu it's not specified that the HH prices are only valid in the bar. And why did my server tell me to go to the bar? When I went back to my table and saw our server, I told her what the bartender told me. She did apologize and said she didn't know. Tried this place thinking it was going to be a tourist trap, which it is, but not in a bad way. Location is unbeatable, service has been good, and the food is reasonably priced given the location. Beers selection is also solid. I find myself coming here often as a local and I would recommend especially if you have people visiting given the location and vibe. read more

We opted for breakfast here for Father's Day because we wanted to go on a bike ride after along the beach. The location is nice and right by the strand. The service was pretty fast and attentive, even as the restaurant started to fill up. That's why I gave 3 stars. The problem was the food. My husband and I split a build your own omelet and French toast. My son had the kids pancakes. The pancakes didn't look too overcooked but my son said they tasted like a campfire. I tried a bite and they definitely tasted really burnt. He wouldn't eat them so he ate some of our food instead. Someone came by to clear plates and asked if my son wanted a box. We told him we wouldn't be taking it because it was burnt and he later sent the server over. She was really sweet about it and removed it from the bill. Again, good customer service! The omelet was pretty good, but the potatoes were undercooked. The French toast looked so promising but was not good either. It tasted really floury for some reason and was a little bitter instead of a little sweet. And French toast is pretty hard to mess up. Overall, I was very underwhelmed and I'm not sure I would give it another try. read more

On a beautiful Sunday recently, we decided to have lunch at Belmont Brewing. You can't beat the view. We have been there many times and love the food, and this time was no different. The service was great, friendly and professional. Our only issue was that, because the outside patio was full, we were seated in the section near the door leading from inside to the outside. Our table was near the area where they store items including dishes, silverware, etc. It was extremely noisy and the staff did not seem to even try to be quiet. Several times during our meal a cart full of dirty dishes was rolled up and down the aisle on uneven payment and the noise was horrible. I am not sure what they can do about this, but I will never sit in that area again. read more

It was nice get way from the heat in the IE to sit out in the outside patio of this beautiful beach front restaurant. They even offer lap blankets if it gets too cold for some. We drove down to get away from the heat and come down to the beach. We've been here before and like the location and the food, drinks and service. There's a big self paid parking lot within walking distance, but it can get full. If you're going to park on the street read the signs carefully. Just saying. They have a decent craft beer selection and specialty cocktails. Food wise, I can't say that I have ordered anything I didn't like. This time we just stuck to appetizers. The Hawaiian poke is excellent. We asked for a little bit more of the wonton crisps and it was perfect. Then came the carne asada flat bread pizza. Nice and crispy crust with lots of cheese, meat, grilled onions, green peppers. Afterwards, we walked down the pier to see the para-surfers. There were so many beautiful different colors and I was amazed that nobody got tangled up. Anyways, this is nice restaurant and we like coming here. Downtown Belmont Shores was crazy packed! No parking and the lagoon was so packed with people. It's a really nice place to go but when it's that packed I stay away. There is no private oarkinf lot only public parking. Great area since you can see the Queen Mary across the bay. It was a warm day out Saturday so the patio at this spot was perfect! Even with the weather, I still ordered the lobster bisque and eehhh it was alright I order a side of garlic bread and that made it better, it really should come with it. I also had a ceaser salad side with a turkey sandwich on sourdough. Sandwich was very tasty and filling. Salad was ok, the Parmesan on it didn't taste right. Now on the other front, the fried goat cheese on the goat cheese and berry salad with Salmon was a party in my mouth! She definitely loved it wished for a bigger portion of salmon or 2 pieces. I have been here so many times I can't even count. I love these ambiance, and this time I took my BF who has never been there, so it was kind of nice to experience it through his eyes. He was thrilled at the view we got. I always have to have the lobster bisque, which is amazing and this time I also ordered the Blu Apple salad with shrimp. It was very, very good. The BF got fish and chips and it was a very hearty dish. He brought two of the four pieces home. The next day he made fish tacos, he is very thrifty. We came here the other night and were seated at the bar area. There is a nice ocean view when sitting outside the Patio area. The night was a little chili so we chose to sit inside. They offer a nice selection of Tap Beets, Wine and they'll even make a mixed drink or two. The food is Finger food like most Breweries and not much to brag about. It was hot and sunny, but the fabric patio cover was very helpful. When I've been on the patio in the winter there were heaters and lap blankets were available. Belmont Brewing Company consistently has high quality beers, with the Chocolate Blonde and Strawberry Blonde being my favorite brews. Unfortunately, there have been some signs of shrinkflation and decline in quality in the past month as part of menu changes that were rolled out from a change in ownership. The brussel sprouts lacked flavor and were much more charred than the last time we had ordered them, giving it a bitter taste. While the bulgogi tacos tasted the same as usual, there was much less meat. Hopefully they'll be able to bring back the previous quality of these dishes going forward. read more

Friends and I stumbled upon Belmont Brewing by surprise while walking on the pier. Open seating indoors, but there is a wait for outdoor seating where you have a view of the ocean. We opted to sit inside and service was pretty quick. I don't drink alcohol but friends really like the Strawberry one that they were promoting at the time. They also have a great bar area if you really want that brewery feel. As for the menu, I personally feel the prices were too expensive. We shared two appetizers and my friends ordered a drink each. The bill cost well over $50, so just expect it to not be budget friendly. Still, the food was good, but there was no value in it. read more

Visited when on vacation in Long Beach. We were seated right away and ever right away. The server was confused about the fish tacos on the bar menu and if they could be served not in the bar area for the same price, but got it figured out. Food came out quickly and my tacos were good. They have plenty of tables, both inside and out, with heat lamps and wind shields to keep things comfortable. We shared a few dishes. The mussels were just okay--a bit underwhelming for me. But the poke bowl more than made up for it: super fresh, with three kinds of fish, all of which were excellent. My friend had the fish and chips, which were crispy, flaky, and really fresh-tasting. There's plenty of parking nearby, including a small strip mall with free spaces, which made getting there hassle-free. It's a little bit odd that the happy hour menu is only available when you sit inside - but at least they have happy hour options.. There was a discount on both food and drinks so we enjoyed a few rounds of a local IPA as well as some bites. I really enjoyed the fish tacos - highly recommend! And my friends LOVED their bulgogi tacos and their chicken quesadillas. Lets start with location and parking. There was plenty of parking at the beach lot, it's metered but free after 6pm. Very short distance from the restaurant. Location was nice, right on the beach in Belmont, view was amazing. The service. When we arrived we were seated immediately by a very nice young woman. Presented us with a menu and told us who our waiter would be. Within 2 minutes our waiter approached, introduced himself and took our drink order. He came back after about 5 minutes to see if we were ready to order. We started with an appetizer, the Hawiian Style Poke, it was so good we ate it before grabbing a photo. Now, it was good but here's the issue we waited about 25 minutes for get it, we couldn't find our waiter to inquire about the food. But people around us were getting their food before us and they were seated after us. So, once we got it, it was very tasty and fresh. I ordered the Honey Peppercorn Salmon, it sounded amazing. Upon receiving it the presentation was very nice, quite impressive actually. It was a bit over cooked, and I couldn't taste anything like honey, even a slight flavor of it was missing. My wife ordered the Dynamite Shrimp, she really liked it, said it could've used a bit more spice for her but good either way. Now the reason for the 3 star review is the wait time for the appetizer and the meal followed within 10 minutes so we had a table full of food that wasn't brought out in a timely manner and our waiter only checked in with us once after taking our order, so I never got any refills on my ice tea. read more
