It was nice get way from the heat in the IE to sit out in the outside patio of this beautiful beach front restaurant. They even offer lap blankets if it gets too cold for some. We drove down to get away from the heat and come down to the beach. We've been here before and like the location and the food, drinks and service. There's a big self paid parking lot within walking distance, but it can get full. If you're going to park on the street read the signs carefully. Just saying. They have a decent craft beer selection and specialty cocktails. Food wise, I can't say that I have ordered anything I didn't like. This time we just stuck to appetizers. The Hawaiian poke is excellent. We asked for a little bit more of the wonton crisps and it was perfect. Then came the carne asada flat bread pizza. Nice and crispy crust with lots of cheese, meat, grilled onions, green peppers. Afterwards, we walked down the pier to see the para-surfers. There were so many beautiful different colors and I was amazed that nobody got tangled up. Anyways, this is nice restaurant and we like coming here. Downtown Belmont Shores was crazy packed! No parking and the lagoon was so packed with people. It's a really nice place to go but when it's that packed I stay away. There is no private oarkinf lot only public parking. Great area since you can see the Queen Mary across the bay. We ate here last evening and found that the area this place is located is very run down. Once inside the restaurant itself, we found the patio to be very cozy. The service was really good and friendly. We ordered the flatbread to start and we found it to be rather tasty. We then ordered the bacon burger and fries and the fries came cold. The burger itself was just ok. I had a cocktail, which I was surprised they offered at a Brewery. That cocktail and the beer we order were really good. Even with the weather, I still ordered the lobster bisque and eehhh it was alright I order a side of garlic bread and that made it better, it really should come with it. I also had a ceaser salad side with a turkey sandwich on sourdough. Sandwich was very tasty and filling. Salad was ok, the Parmesan on it didn't taste right. Now on the other front, the fried goat cheese on the goat cheese and berry salad with Salmon was a party in my mouth! She definitely loved it wished for a bigger portion of salmon or 2 pieces. I have been here so many times I can't even count. I love these ambiance, and this time I took my BF who has never been there, so it was kind of nice to experience it through his eyes. He was thrilled at the view we got. I always have to have the lobster bisque, which is amazing and this time I also ordered the Blu Apple salad with shrimp. It was very, very good. The BF got fish and chips and it was a very hearty dish. He brought two of the four pieces home. The next day he made fish tacos, he is very thrifty. Belmont Brewing Company consistently has high quality beers, with the Chocolate Blonde and Strawberry Blonde being my favorite brews. Unfortunately, there have been some signs of shrinkflation and decline in quality in the past month as part of menu changes that were rolled out from a change in ownership. The brussel sprouts lacked flavor and were much more charred than the last time we had ordered them, giving it a bitter taste. While the bulgogi tacos tasted the same as usual, there was much less meat. Hopefully they'll be able to bring back the previous quality of these dishes going forward. read more

Visited when on vacation in Long Beach. We were seated right away and ever right away. The server was confused about the fish tacos on the bar menu and if they could be served not in the bar area for the same price, but got it figured out. Food came out quickly and my tacos were good. They don't come with any side or chips or anything. Tried an amber beer and it was good. Had to ask for water after we had pretty much finished our food. Friends and I stumbled upon Belmont Brewing by surprise while walking on the pier. Open seating indoors, but there is a wait for outdoor seating where you have a view of the ocean. We opted to sit inside and service was pretty quick. I don't drink alcohol but friends really like the Strawberry one that they were promoting at the time. They also have a great bar area if you really want that brewery feel. As for the menu, I personally feel the prices were too expensive. We shared two appetizers and my friends ordered a drink each. The bill cost well over $50, so just expect it to not be budget friendly. Still, the food was good, but there was no value in it. read more

This beachside brewery has an outdoor patio that extends almost all the way to the sand, offering incredible ocean views--definitely the highlight, highly recommend grabbing a seat outside. They have plenty of tables, both inside and out, with heat lamps and wind shields to keep things comfortable. We shared a few dishes. The mussels were just okay--a bit underwhelming for me. But the poke bowl more than made up for it: super fresh, with three kinds of fish, all of which were excellent. My friend had the fish and chips, which were crispy, flaky, and really fresh-tasting. There's plenty of parking nearby, including a small strip mall with free spaces, which made getting there hassle-free. It's a little bit odd that the happy hour menu is only available when you sit inside - but at least they have happy hour options.. There was a discount on both food and drinks so we enjoyed a few rounds of a local IPA as well as some bites. I really enjoyed the fish tacos - highly recommend! And my friends LOVED their bulgogi tacos and their chicken quesadillas. Lets start with location and parking. There was plenty of parking at the beach lot, it's metered but free after 6pm. Very short distance from the restaurant. Location was nice, right on the beach in Belmont, view was amazing. The service. When we arrived we were seated immediately by a very nice young woman. Presented us with a menu and told us who our waiter would be. Within 2 minutes our waiter approached, introduced himself and took our drink order. He came back after about 5 minutes to see if we were ready to order. We started with an appetizer, the Hawiian Style Poke, it was so good we ate it before grabbing a photo. Now, it was good but here's the issue we waited about 25 minutes for get it, we couldn't find our waiter to inquire about the food. But people around us were getting their food before us and they were seated after us. So, once we got it, it was very tasty and fresh. I ordered the Honey Peppercorn Salmon, it sounded amazing. Upon receiving it the presentation was very nice, quite impressive actually. It was a bit over cooked, and I couldn't taste anything like honey, even a slight flavor of it was missing. My wife ordered the Dynamite Shrimp, she really liked it, said it could've used a bit more spice for her but good either way. Now the reason for the 3 star review is the wait time for the appetizer and the meal followed within 10 minutes so we had a table full of food that wasn't brought out in a timely manner and our waiter only checked in with us once after taking our order, so I never got any refills on my ice tea. read more

While waiting, we sat at the bar, ordered drinks, and were actually enjoying ourselves -- until we received the text that our table was ready at 6:33 PM. I walked to the hostess stand (which is fully visible from the bar where we were seated, about 10 feet away), and waited in line behind a few other parties who were also being seated. When I finally got to the front, the hostess told me, "Just a couple more minutes." I waited another 15 minutes. At 6:50 PM, I returned again -- only to be told our table still wasn't ready and wouldn't be for another 15-20 minutes. She claimed that the people sitting at our "assigned" table had closed out at 6:33 (the time we got the notification), but hadn't left yet -- and that's why she sent the text. Meanwhile, she continued to seat every other group that arrived after us, while we sat at the bar in full view of the host stand the entire time. No apology, no accommodation, no update unless I initiated the interaction. Just blame-shifting and total disregard. It's baffling and honestly upsetting. We were respectful and patient, yet somehow overlooked -- on what was supposed to be a special occasion. I won't be dining in here again. I'll stick to takeout from now on, which is really unfortunate because the food is good -- but the service was a major letdown. read more

My friend is absolutely obsessed with this place and always raves about how amazing it is, so I had to take her word for it! On a whim, I decided to stop by on a random weekday evening. Note: Parking was a breeze, as there is a large parking lot located behind the apartment building. Please be aware that parking in the Vons lot is not recommended, as they tend to tow vehicles quickly. From the moment we walked in, the staff were friendly and attentive, greeting us with smiles and making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Our server was particularly exceptional, taking the time to answer our questions about the menu and making recommendations that turned out to be spot-on. House Margarita: While it was definitely a solid drink, I wouldn't say it was anything particularly remarkable. You can see alot of water stains on the floor. Furniture looks old and the color is missing its lack luster from remembering how this place use to be. The thing that has not changed is the service and food. Which really all that matters. Ordered lobster bisc and adult beverages. Not to mention the view has a nice vibe to it, looking at patrons on the boardwalk both in the afternoon and sunset. (Preferably Sunset is best) If you don't mind the furniture and old patio sets. You will be fine. I still recommend this location. Warning: there is strange and weird people walking on the boardwalk, so be aware when you are eating your food at the patio. Lol. You can never go wrong with Belmont brewing! There's a parking structure a little bit of a walk away that you have to pay for, like beach parking. The place is huge, inside and outside, spacious bar, with great food & beer options. My mom and I had a fabulous time coming here on Sunday. I believe our server/bartender's name was named Mike? We sat on the patio, with the beautiful view of DTLB and the pier. I love how warm they kept the patio with the heaters, it was a bit chilly outside and so the heaters made the temperature perfect. We had a variety of menu items from burgers, to fish and chips, pizza to the Bulgogi tacos and everyone enjoyed their food. we were a big party of 10 and our waitress did a really good job taking care of us. So it has been over 20 years since I've eaten here. The last time was just after my kids were born. In between I lived in San Diego, Ventura, Hawaii, and now I'm back and I had to try their food. We were both really hungry so instead of doing the split like we usually do with meals, we each ordered full breakfast and a side of soup and of course, framboise. The French toast was delightful, and the roasted tomato bisque was just as I recalled from years ago. I'm thrilled it's still available on the menu. My friend savored her eggs Benedict with cheesy scalloped potatoes on the side, and she raved about the creamy and flavorful lobster bisque. The exceptional food, atmosphere, and service have solidified this as my go-to brunch spot from now on. I'm not sure if there's free parking in the area, but we parked in the parking lot next to the restaurant which is not free. Had to pay at the kiosk. This place serves american food and alcohol. Came here during lunch time with coworkers. They ordered alcohol and returned to work right after. I ordered the american style kobe burger. It was very delicious but be aware that it's not real kobe beef. Staffs were friendly and had a good meal here. Really nice restaurant by the beach. Would recommend eating here.
