The ice cream is completely overpriced, only one vegan ice-cream flavor was available when the website shows two, and the customer service by the young woman working there on a Friday afternoon was terrible. I asked for a kid sized ice-cream because I only wanted a small amount. Instead of telling me this size didn't exist, she gave me a small, which was a tiny scoop of ice cream for $5.99. I asked if they had toppings and she gave me a tiny amount of walnuts for an additional $.85, without telling me there was an extra charge for it (doesn't state there is an extra charge on the menu board either). I personally don't want to spend $6.84 for the amount of ice cream shown pictured here, no matter how much the manager states what high quality product it is (Burbank location and the Long Beach location Yelp responses are almost word for word trying to validate the reason for the high prices "We know we're pricey...Fair Trade, GMO free, less air (more cream, cage-free eggs, and lots of other good stuff) the biggest chunks and swirls in the business." Instead of writing copy/paste responses, try listening to the customers and do something about the issues they're having. Have a smaller kid size available, offer a larger vegan selection, and train your employees to act like they care when customers are there, instead of acting annoyed. read more

We stopped by to get some ice cream for the kids and some of the adults. Line moved pretty quickly and location was pretty clean. Only problem was no restroom for customers but wasn't a deal breaker. They have plenty of selections but you need to make sure you have a favorite here unless you won't be too happy. Also little shocked with 4 child servings in a waffle cone ended up almost $30. Kinda steep for ice cream but hopeful they use quality ingredients. read more

Bizarre that this place doesn't offer samples. I've been to quite a few ice cream shops in recent months that have all provided samples safely. The whole point of going to an ice cream shop is to be able to try the flavors so you can build your perfect combo. I came here with Jin C. last week to watch a movie at the AMC. We had time to spare and it was hot outside so we decided to cool off at Ben & Jerry's. This is actually my first time eating at a Ben & Jerry's, I've only ever had their ice cream from the grocery store. The guy behind the counter was nice and let me try four different samples before I decided to get a small cup with two flavours. There are several tables inside to sit at, or you can always just take it with you outside while you look at the different stores in the area. There is even a cut-out for the Liz Lemon Greek Frozen Yogurt that you can take a picture with in the store :) I tried the Scotchy Scotch Scotch (butterscotch ice cream with butterscotch swirls) and the Liz Lemon (lemon greek frozen yogurt with a blueberry lavender swirl). Yes, they don't really go together, but I wanted something light to offset the heavy butterscotch ice cream. And I don't regret my choice at all. I love butterscotch so that ice cream was perfect for me, very sweet and delicious. But it can also be a bit overwhelming, which is why having it with the lemon greek froyo worked out well for me. The greek froyo was very light and refreshing, and I liked the swirl of blueberry (I couldn't taste the lavender). I'm a big fan of Ben & Jerry ice creams at the market, so I was glad to see they have a storefront here. They give away free ice cream every year on Free Cone Day, so definitely stop by if you are in the area and want to cool down. read more

It's always nice to find an ice cream joint that carries non-dairy other than sorbet. The down side to any Ben & Jerry's is the price. So be prepared to spend more for a cone than you would spend for a tub of non-diary at the grocery store! But if you're out and about and you want ice cream, you have to pay the price. The other downside currently with Ben & Jerry's is they only have almond milk ice cream for non-dairy. So if you don't like almond milk, and you don't want sorbet, you are out of luck. B&J's needs to jump on the non-dairy bandwagon with more plant based milk options, not just almond. Staff was pleasant and knew about the non-dairy options. I came here today for ~*~FREE ICE CREAM DAY!!!!~*~. Well, actually it was donation ice cream day as all of the profits went to the LAFD and their support of children with Muscular Distrophy. By the time I got here there were only 4 flavors left (all related to chocolate, it was a sign). The firefighters behind the counter were busting their asses to serve the line of people. It just happens to be the day when it's free ice cream day, so we got to actually cut in line :) and get ice cream~~ for free! how awesome right? haha The 2nd time I came here was yesterday, with the church members since we were at the pastor's house. I have to admit, it was hot already outside and when we stepped inside... it was REALLY hot... besides being hot inside the shop, it smelled like waffle cones. I've been to this place twice and both times the smell of the cleaning product overpowered your senses. The second time I couldn't even get ice cream. Staff seemed tired and not as enthused as they should have been. I did get greeted upon entry which was nice. This place would get a much higher rating if they toned down the cleaning product. Being a local and always passing by this place we decided to stop in and give it a try. I cant say anything really bad about the customer service or quality of their ice cream. The only down side is that they are very expensive compared to other ice cream shops. However, their coffee ice cream with the espresso bean was amazing which really set the bar high against the competitors for coffee ice cream. I came here with my girlfriend last night because I never tried Ben & Jerry's ice cream. We were extremely disappointed with the high prices and poor customer service. First of all a lot of prices for cups and cones are not posted anywhere so customers don't know how much anything is unless they ask a fast talking employee. Secondly, I wanted a small cup with 2 scoops for $4.25 but I wanted the 2 scoops in separate cups. The employee said "So you want 2 kid scoops?" I said "Yeah sure" assuming it would be the same price as a small cup with 2 scoops. I go up to pay and the young lady tells me "$9 dollars". $9 dollars for 2 little scoops?! Thats unbelievable! My girlfriend and I were already excited to try the famous Ben & Jerry's ice cream and we already waited in a long line so I just paid when we should've just walked out. Please explain to me why 2 little scoops costs $9 when I can go to any grocery store and pick up 2 pints of Ben & Jerry's ice cream for less money. If prices were posted we could've seen the prices and left the store immediately. I'll never come here again. I didn't buy the Groupon coupon this shop is offering for a small ice cream cake because their discounted price of $23.29 exceeds the $22.99 price shown on the Ben and Jerry's website. Further, the Burbank shop claims that their regular price is $39.00. I sent them an e-mail and they didn't respond with an explanation. There are plenty of other places to buy Ben and Jerry's ice cream products. read more

We went to this location with 2 coupons for a free single scoop. We order our scoops and the lady tries to upsell us to two scoops for $1. We agree to this and order a second scoop. When we check out, the lady ends up charging us over $11 instead of $2. The manager reduces this to 50% off, so it was $5 and some change. Still more than double the $2 we were originally quoted. They would not budge from this position despite the fact that the person scooping knew about our coupons when we ordered. Furthermore the employee wasn't truthful to her superior when explaining the situation; she said we didn't tell her about the coupons. I had the coupon in front of me the entire time and my wife asked her if she could use the coupon on a cone, so she certainly did know. It felt like they were trying to avoid admitting that they gave us bad information. We ended up walking out without ice cream and went to Cold Stone instead. At least they don't bait and switch you. I like my ice cream yes I do, I like my ice cream how about you? It is an awesome location because it's right by the AMC on Palm street as well as Chipotle, BWW, Market City Cafe, Pizza Rev, and the list can honestly go on and on. There's plenty of seating with a location that doesn't seem too compact in the way that many ice cream places tend to. I got their Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz because I'm a huge fan of the big chunks of espresso chocolate. The ice cream was smooth and creamy and went deliciously well with their waffle cone ($6.) Their waffle cone was thinner in texture and much more likely to be broken on accident than say 31 flavors but that doesn't really constitute a downgrade in a star rating in my opinion just something I noticed. Came here tonight for my bday before a movie and got one of the vegan coconut flavors and oh my goodness was it delicious. Steven was great and very patient with me because I had so many questions and truly could not decide on a flavor. Not going to lie, I usually always just go to cold stone and get the Oreo overload with whip cream instead of chocolate sauce but wanted to try something different today. I remember when this place used to be THE place to get ice cream in Burbank. The line used to always be so long. Then Cold Stone Creamery opened and took away a lot of business. Pinkberry and other nearby yogurt places that recently opened nearby didn't help either. Still, Ben and Jerry's has great ice cream, but the problem is that it is just too expensive! However, they do have days when they give away free ice cream and get served by Burbank Fire Department. All they ask is that you give a small donation. This is a good "once in a while" treat, but I have always felt that I get more for my money over at Cold Stone. read more
