Another location in Torrance! Located in the Encore Plaza, it's hidden inside one of the building with a small food court inside. Ben Scoops offers ice cream. It just recently ranked one of the best ice cream in USA according to Yelp. It's filipino based or owned or something. Not too sure. I got the double scoop ($8.50) with chocolate and matcha. It was pretty good. Melts a bit fast, but overall pretty good. Service was relatively quick. They even sell ice cream in pre packaged pints. Would definitely be back since I come to this plaza like once a month.

This place is so cute! Located inside The Enclave, lots of free parking available but can and WILL get busy from all the other shops. Service was great, the girl who helped me was very kind in suggesting popular menu items. Avocado & Ube ice cream is a MUST. So refreshing. Would happily come back.

The ice cream here was just okay. If anything, the texture of the ice cream was good. As a Filipino I tend to be stricter with Filipino flavors. Going down the list of flavors I tried: -Avocado: I couldn't really taste the avocado flavor to be honest. As a general ice cream it was solid, but I wasn't really getting much flavor. -Ube: Similar sentiments as the Avocado. I did like the grainy bits which are reminiscent of Ube, but the flavor could've been stronger. -Durian: I have an okay relationship with Durian lol. This was the best in terms of execution. Good durian flavor and even on point with the smell haha. -Halo-Halo: This was okay. Its like the Ube flavor with added toppings like red bean. Kind of disappointing that they don't let you taste the ice cream before purchasing. The pricing was decent. The ice cream stall is located in a food court area. There's free parking. Overall, a lot was left to be desired. I wouldn't go out of my way to try this. If I did try this place again, I'd probably get the non-Filipino flavors.

Super nice cream. There were about 10-15 different international flavors. It was about $7.50'for a regular scoop (two scoops, two flavors)!! I got the durian and lichee. The lichee was spot on and was delicious. The durian was super strong (good!) but I couldn't taste anything else after the first bite. That's a good thing! Service was super friendly. Located in a food court area with other food vendors. I'm a fan!

I tried the hojicha ice cream. The small is $7-8 and they do give 2 scoops which was filling. You can get up to 2 flavors in the small size. But at 3pm on a Saturday, they were unfortunately out of a lot of flavors :/ The hojicha flavor was just right! The ice cream was fairly creamy but not the most creamy I've had. I would expect to like their ice cream more for a place that's rated so highly but just my opinion. The workers are kind too!

Craving a shake and it comes with 2 flavors. I wanted strawberry and wasnt sure what other flavor and they recommended mango. It actually was good! Decent size and optional whip. Saw all the hype on TikTok. Decided to check it out. I thought the name was unique but it's also functional. It's Ben scoops.... ice cream that someone else has made. It's located in a lively food hall inside of the Enclave. The service was nice. They were out of many of their flavors. I thought for the price, they were more like scoops instead of SCOOPS. The ice cream was just okay. The banana ice cream wasn't banana-y. The vanilla with almonds was just okay. Bottom line: I wouldn't seek this out. If I was at the enclave, I'd get a scoop if I was in the mood.

My friend and I came Sunday afternoon and didn't realize it was in a plaza with plenty of other food options. Plenty of parking in the front and back so no worries on that. You order at the register and then they will call your name through a window. I got the grasshopper pie and strawberry. It was really good. Honestly I liked the strawberry more than the grasshopper pie. It just tasted like real strawberries. Combo seems weird but it was good. I would come again to try their other flavors. There are a lot of seating inside and outside. They also have restrooms.

Easy eats ice cream with a bunch of Filipino flavors. Went after dinner for a bit of dessert. Parking was a bit confusing - there's a lot of electric vehicle parking (which should have but did not think to use), but found regular parking further out. The ice cream spot is in the food court area near the restrooms. Menu consists of many different Filipino and some regular flavors. Ended up getting a split scoop of ube and macapono. Was well made - def more natural tasting than others I had. Would def come back!

Stopped by for lunch at the Enclave, and decided to walk around and stumbled across this little gem. Ben Scoops has a great assortment of Filipino inspired flavors and regular ice cream flavors. By the time I got there later in the afternoon a lot of their flavors were sold out. I ordered a small, which comes with 2 scoops; I ordered the coconut pineapple and halo halo. The coconut pineapple stole the show for me; rich, creamy coconut flavor with a hint of pineapple. Refreshing and delicious. The halo halo was also creamy with bits of agar, beans, and other fillings, it was solid. I love this place, highly recommend.

So so amazing!! Very happy we have a new ice cream place in Carson dedicated to the Philippines famous ice cream flavors. The ube and halo-halo flavors were the absolute best, everything tastes rich, homemade, and not too sweet! Only thing is that it's a bit hidden in the plaza, I recommend arrow signs indicating which store it's next to. Also would be awesome for some tables + music inside. Very good ice cream with great art and lovely employees. I will continue to come here as a regular. They are a growing business yet they do stuff so well. I met one of the employees dog's and he was very calm and collected. They held a wonderful event with dances, karaoke and activities for kids. Ben Scoops is a cool ice cream spot. It's clean. The customer service was excellent! They allowed me to try all the different flavors. There are so many fun flavors. This place was amazing! The ice cream flavors are robust, delicious, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. You can taste the quality in each flavor. My favorite was the langka and macapuno. The macapuno was so good I had to buy a pint to take home! Can't wait to come back here again- I'm hardly ever in Carson these days but will plan to grab fresh Filipino ice cream whenever I am in town. Oh yea, VERY friendly staff was a plus. read more

My friend and I have been wanting to try this place out for a while. We finally got the chance to come in and let me just say that this is hands down the best ice cream I've had. The flavors are pleasantly different from other ice cream shops. From fresh fruit flavors and ingredients sourced directly from the Philippines you know you will be getting an authentic taste. The mango is so refreshing and not overly sweet. Langka is amazing and a must try as it is only a seasonal flavor special. Nino was super friendly and attentive as he made sure we received the best experience. We definitely will be back to get the other flavors they have to offer! read more

My friends and I came here on Friday night and saw that it had just closed so we started leaving, until a worker noticed and asked if we drove here to try Ben Scoops. I think it was the owner but he was sooo kind as to let us in and order last minute. I've never experienced service that went "above and beyond" like this before so it really meant a lot. Flavors are so good. We had rocky road, halo halo, and pistachio. There is seating inside and out. Parking is easy in the lot. This place is tucked a little bit in the corner of the shopping plaza. We were able to sample flavors, the guy that helped us was so so friendly and helpful. The Filipino inspired flavors are so spot on. I don't think I've been to a better ice cream shop than this one. The flavors they have are delicious. My favorite was their mango flavor. You can taste the freshness in the ice cream. The employee recommended pairing with coconut pineapple and boy was he right. He was very helpful and made you feel welcomed. YASSSS BEN YAAASSS!! If your American tounge is tired of all the regular ice cream flavors found in every ice cream shop lol.. this is the place to go! Benscoop is a literal hidden hole in the wall in a little plaza on Grace and Carson St where the homie does their laundry . Parking is no issue cuz aint nobody ever at this plaza except for the laundry mat. The ice cream are all Filipino flavors, creamy and will give your mouth the flavorgasm its been looking for. They also sell half-gallon sizes if you wanna take it home to your sweetass relatives. Mr.Ben is dope! Seriously some good ice cream! My kids got both Oreos, I got the calamansi and passion fruit sorbets and my husband got the mango sorbet with chamoy. Not only were the ice creams good, we had a good conversation with the owner! He was super sweet and just very welcoming having us try all the flavors! We'll definitely come back! I was spoiled by the the availability of Mitchell's ice cream when I lived in San Francisco. It was my go-to ice cream spot and I missed it sorely when I moved down to the SoCal in 2021. Since the move I had been looking for a ice cream shop to replace it. Nothing seemed to hit the spot. A couple of weeks ago my wife was randomly looking at new spots on yelp when she said, "This place has Mitchell's." "No way!" I said running to check what she was looking at on her phone. It was photos of the Ben Scoops ice cream shop and sure enough they have Mitchell's ice cream. I went in a few days later and was astonished by some of the similar design notes taken from the Mitchell's shop in San Francisco. It was comforting. Ben is a nice family man who respects Mitchell's and is the only person to sell it in southern California. I found my new ice cream shop. read more

Hidden gem... very hidden actually. Very corner of the plaza where thai bbq is at. I'm assuming he's the owner, but he was very patient and super nice. But let me tell you about the ice cream... he got the ube. He got the horchata. He got the flavors that thriftys doesn't. Oh and he got sorbets. The mango is soooo good. Calamari so tart, yet so refreshing. There's a list of other flavors He got on deck so best believe I'll be coming back. read more

Get the pint today if you can!! Houjicha - roasted green tea The roasted green tea flavor is so lovely! The perfect tea-flavored ice cream! This is for all the tea lovers (tried this last week when there was a limited amount available, scoops only) All the flavors here are not too sweet. If you love ice cream that is sweeter, definitely try Mr. Universal and Hokey Pokey (honeycomb toffee)! I love that they change up the flavors weekly while keeping some timeless favorites on the menu permanently. I tried their cold brew coffee for the first time. I'm not a black coffee drinker, so I ended up adding milk when I got home. It was very good and the coffee taste was still strong after I added milk. 5 star service as always!! Everything is so clean inside and there are tables and chairs inside as well as a bench outside. There are also some table games you can play with family or friends. Love that they also feature different independent artists in their stores with print available for purchase.

At almost $5 a scoop, it is on the pricier side.

For me, regular shaved ice usually lacks enough syrup or the ice is too hard. I'm such a wuss, I know, but I hate feeling like I overpaid for a cup of ice. It has been brutally hot and today seemed like a great day to have some shaved ice. The cafe is located in a Korean plaza on Western and 154th. Smoking Tiger coffee is also in the same plaza. The cafe is on the smaller side but there's lots of seating and you can take your orders to go if you want. It's cashless and you take your tray and trash to the counter once you're done. The menu has everything from fruity flavors to Asian flavors like hojicha and injeolmi to Cinnamon Toast crunch. You can get an individual size or larger size to share. The interior is minimalist with vintage-looking posters of the business. They have WiFi and complimentary water. We ordered matcha and mango flavored bingsoo. Both had a tall pile of ice with ample toppings and more syrup layered inside the ice which I think is an important very often overlooked step. I can't wait to return to try out more flavors!

It was a great combination. What's different here is that there are 12 separate machines to make the soft ice cream and gelato, using Miles Ice Tech. The liquid is poured individually, and the machine churns the ice cream throughout the day. Because of this, there is no chance for ice crystals or freezer burn, and the ice cream just tastes fresher. It is definitely the soft serve style though, with very few mix-ins. But for that pure ice cream flavor, this is the place to come.

I liked how light the pieces are and not super oily. On another day, I tried the matcha parfait. I was worried that it might be too sweet. Fortunately, the sweetness wasn't overwhelming for me. The matcha ice cream had a great matcha flavor and the red bean paste filled castella bites were also yummy as well.

You can tell they use good matcha in their product - it's a deep green color, bold flavor, and slightly bitter (the dougbs sweetness blends well with it). The custard was good as well! Lightly sweet and creamy. Next I'll have to try their lemon custard :) and take more pictures!
