Service was good. The restaurant was quiet upon entering. Everything was decent however it wasn't quite there for me yet. It was overall a decent experience The nghêu hấp thai felt like it was nghêu hấp sả instead and the broth for both my bo kho and bun Bo hue isn't flavorful enough. We had to add sauce and fish sauce to deepen the broth.

I'm glad to find another pho spot to keep in our rotation. This place is nothing fancy on the inside or outside but most importantly, they had great broth (especially the beef broth). Everything was fresh and tasty. I'd definitely recommend getting the sliced rare beef pho. My husband's shrimp upon noodle soup was ok, but not something he'd get again. We also had the shrimp and pork fresh rolls (summer rolls) and the chili vegetable and Chinese sausage rolls. We were thrown off by the server as she was a bit non verbal and not very friendly.

Small restaurant serving authentic Vietnamese food with great flavor. The restaurant is a hole-in-the-wall and it's located in a strip but the food is excellent.

By far one of the best egg rolls I've ever had! It's a nice comfy restaurant. Gives off a feel at home kinda vibe. Staff were great too. The food is also excellent. I ordered the pho with everyone except meatballs. My wife got the egg noodle duck soup and we also got Vietnamese egg rolls. The pho was hot, loaded in protein and plants! The broth was full of flavor. Noodles were cooked just right. The egg noodle duck soup was just as good but the broth to me didn't have as much flavor as it could have. The egg rolls were stuffed to the max. So much flavor to it! Overall this was a great restaurant. I really enjoyed the food and would definitely go back in the future.

I saw a reel on Instagram about Ben Thanh Restaurant and convinced my family to check it out. Overall, the food was okay but the service was the worst part of our experience there. Our server constantly forgot our food or just would not come around to our table. We had no eating utensils in the caddy (no chopsticks, spoons, or napkins). I never got my drink. Inside the restaurant is very hot and not much circulation, so I really wanted my drink. I ordered the steamed clams, Thai style. The clams were very small and had no flavor. I dipped them in nuoc mum for taste just so I could finish the pot. For my entree, I ordered the noodle bowl with grilled pork and shrimp. My son and I split the food. It was pretty standard and a good size portion. Nothing exceptional to note, since I could get this dish at any other Vietnamese restaurant but also get it with better service. You go up to the cashier to pay. Something our server failed to say anything about until we had to go up to the kitchen to even ask how to pay our bill. And of course, our bill was incorrect. Three stars because I feel bad giving it less since it's a locally owned restaurant. I will not be back here and would not recommend to anyone, unless you're right there in the area.

This place should have more reviews. I came over from tampa to try this place and it beats everything out the water. Fish sauce, quality, taste, portions etc was top tier. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Service was 7.5/10 they were slow at taking orders and giving is menus when they weren't busy. Otherwise everything was fine. There's probably 7 tables in there and dark lighting which I didnt like. Would recommend and come again otherwise

Bun rieu! A hidden little gem in an industrial area. I was a bit confused when I was trying to find the place. I got seated right away, and he took my order. Bun rieu was goood! I like how they made their rieu. It was not too strong and the fermented fish paste mix they put some burning chilis in, was perfect. I love dipping the meat and tofu in it! I also am impressed that they added the blood cubes, that's my favorite part of the dish! A small family owned business with an older lady cooking in the back! Also, FINALLY a full real glass of lemonade!

Many people could drive right by and miss this hidden little gem, but it would be a mistake. Pinellas Park is full of great Vietnamese restaurants, and this one doesn't disappoint. Portion sizes were very large, especially for the price point. Good was served warm and was really enjoyable. Service was great and I will definitely be back.

Bo nhung giam veggies and wraps material
    Nghia V.

We stopped by to try thai hot pot ($40) because previously we tried bo nhung giam ($20) and it was really good. But what we received was not really thai hot pot. More like seafood pot? It doesn't have the tom yum flavor... no sour flavor? No spicy flavor?? the mussels were also very old and had a weird taste, we didn't eat any of it. We had to ask for like 3 limes to squeeze it in the pot because it was too sweet. The veggies were broccoli and carrots? I understand we came in at 8pm but if you don't have the right ingredients for thai hot pot please let us know so we can choose a different dish, but instead you just give us whatever you had left for veggies which is quite unacceptable to us. We left feeling very disappointed because the first time we had pho in stone bowl and bo nhung giam it was quite decent. I don't think I can return to give it another try. If you do stop by here, just get pho and not hot pot.

Great Vietnamese!! 91 menu items!! Fast service. Super casual atmosphere. Tried (#83) sliced Catfish w/caramel sauce. Very good. The (#68) beef stir-fried w/lemongrass & rice plate was delicious. Not greasy. The surprise was being served fish sauce as a condiment to the rice. A first for me. YUM!! Also tried (#27) BBQ pork Bánh Mì for only $5.99. No paté on this one. but still tastes great! And that they basically have everything you need right at the table. Tip: keep an eye out for the sliced garlic glass jar. Strong!! Good hot sauce, too. Will return!

Our new FAVORITE Vietnamese Restaurant! Our inaugural visit, with many more to come. The food and spices are spot on. The best egg rolls are truly the Best. I had the combination Pho in a stone bowl which keeps the soup hot till the last slurpped drop. Go! Thank me later :)

Delivery Order: Lot of oil of top of broth. Unfortunately there was a small/short black hair in my soup. Also a lot of inedible bay leaf and seeds they didn't take out so I had to pick it out. Broth spilled out of the container during transit

This place sits right in the middle of a strip and if you're not familiar with the area can be a little hard to find. Upon entering, it is a small restaurant and the sweet old lady welcomed us and I think she thought we were Vietnamese because she started speaking to us in Vietnamese. She showed us where the high chairs were and took our drink and food order all at once. The food did come out in a timely fashion with the stone soup pho coming out last still boiling. Fresh coconut juice: so good! Not too sweet and not too sour! It was perfect! Banh mi: 3/5, it was good but not that great. Chicken wings: 5/5, delish! Came out hot! Stone soup pho: 3/5, flavors weren't all there but it wasn't too bad. Fresh noodles were okay. Overall, the experience and food wasn't too bad but not the best. The lady only came to us when we had food coming out and didn't check up on us but that was okay because she already gave us a pitcher of water and cups. It was good but I don't know if I would come back.

I also tried their Bo kho which is the beef stew, they have the mini Vietnamese tacos very crispy, and other options like the broken egg rice and vermicelli noodles to pair with pork and fish sauce. They also have banh bo lot which is a popular option people love to get as well as dessert options like making your own Che. Ambiance is a tight space, parking is also tight, you for feel crammed. However, it also gives that homey vibe like as if you're walking into your grandmothers home.. service was good, our plates were cleaned but they do rush you in a way if there's a wait for bigger parties. Man oh man, what a hard review to write here…read more Obviously I came for the name, what a fun and funny name. My family and our friends who were in town from England. We HAD to go so they could tell everyone at home. We got there and it was so silent in the dining room. Silent like a library.... My friends young children all of a sudden, by comparison to the vacuum of noise, sounded like steam trains blaring through intersections nonstop. We should by the reception counter for about 5 minutes before one of the staff finally welcomed us and told us where to sit. 3 other staff members had seen us and were visibly NOT making eye contact. Now, we are sat and going over the menu. About 6 minutes later, our waiter had come to ask if he could borrow one of our 5 menus for a new customer, explaining they don't have many menus. (Well, sure, no problem, we will share.) **weird though** *The waiter is on something. His mannerisms are weird, maybe he's just high, but he did some weird things with his foot and he sounded stoned. * Ok, he's back to take our order. Honestly he is nice as can be and patient. My family ordered both types of spring rolls, a dry vermicelli noodle, a pork, rice, egg dish and a #44 beef pho. He explained in great detail, a soursop beverage that my son wanted to try. It gets fun here. In a few spots in the restaurant, they advertise buttons/pins and shirts you can buy. How fun and funny to have a in that says "I survived Bich Nga". The signs say to pick which number of button you want and tell the waiter, so I tell him I'd like the number 1. Well. They don't sell them there. He says to order off of their Etsy or their social media. What a big bummer. The name is too funny to not have this for sale right there. My friend was especially bummed to not have one to bring home to England. Oh well I guess... they're missing out on this awesome way to make some extra money. Next he took my friends family's order, a pork and egg dish, a duck soup and a chicken noodle soup for their young kids. The food came out as it was done so it left our meals a little staggered but that's ok with me. Our spring rolls were super good, the dry vermicelli was good but a bit unexciting, it came with a couple sauces that were fantastic. The pork, egg, rice dish was phenomenal, seriously soooo good. Then he brought out my friends family's food. He came over about 10 minutes later to check on us and I told him we were still missing our pho. He was shocked. Went away for another 10 minutes and came back and checked on us. We were pretty much done by now. I told him we never got our pho but to go ahead and take it off the check. He was shocked and said "no, no" he came back with the duck soup that our friend had ordered and told us that they accidentally gave our soup to our friend and here is his soup.....(?) I don't want duck soup. My friend was cracking up as her husband had been commenting the whole meal about how he did not like his soup(my pho). He was full so handed a gently consumed bowl of beef pho towards our side. We tried it and it really needed our personal touch but as we were full now, I don't feel I can honestly review the pho. It was bland as it sat. So, duck soup, we had to try it as we were paying for it. It was good. Very oily as duck is, but tasty. The duck itself was not my favorite but the broth was very flavorful. Ok, another 20 minutes has gone by and we don't have a check. The library patrons are growing more and more annoyed with the freight train of children who are bored off their butts now. My friend and I take the kids out of there to freely make noise in the parking lot. On our way out, we walk past the "cashier" who again, AVOIDS EYE CONTACT. ???? We were so excited to be out of there. The whole vibe is off. The food is great. If you're looking for a perplexing experience that comes free with good food, I recommend you try this place. If you're looking for good food, great staff and a great ambiance, save yourself from coming here. I wanted to write a rave review but man was it just too awkward.

The wife enjoyed a small roast quail for $5 and a serving of 5 garnished clams in the shells for $10. She did not like the $15 garnished bowl of beef slices/pig elbow/cheap canned luncheon meat/and pig blood noodle soup as she says it lacked flavor and she was not thrilled with the cook wiping down the countertop and handling her food with the same gloved hands. I only had a skewer of 4 large chunks of grilled pork belly at $7 and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'll come back just for the pork belly. The vendors all were very polite and patient as we had many questions about prices and portion sizes. There was a DJ kicking out several nice tunes with his mixer. Nice job whoever you are! You do need to be vigilant when it comes to product prices. For example, a vendor was selling grilled wieners on a skewer for $7 each without bun, or typical condiments. I instead opted for a huge Sam's club polish dog in a bun with large 30 oz. drink with napkins and all the condiments I needed, and I topped it off with a rotisserie chicken, all, for a total of $6.81. There are some vendors with already cooked food for sale before opening. Parking gets challenging after opening so I would recommend arriving 15-20 minutes before opening for a better chance for a parking space. Overall, I had a nice time at Saigon Summer Nights this winter with its fun lively atmosphere and tasty food, for the most part. We will be back for sure!
