The coffee is decent. Nothing too special. The staff are friendly, they greeted us with a smile and sat us right away. Now the food... it was ok. But it was something I could have made at home. I wanted something special, and an extra flair.. but. It was not all that special. I got French toast with eggs and 2 bacon. The French toast was well small. Hubs got pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage links. The pancakes were the same small with nothing exciting. Granted I know most people aren't looking for a "Flair" or something special. But on my end I want to find something unique that will keep me coming back regardless of the price for the most part.. the food was Basic. Our food was ok, however, our food had just arrived at our table when the manager had the waitress give us our check and stated we need to pay to close out her register, I told her we hadn't finished yet, the food just arrived, the manager needed her register closed now. Very rude. I had leave my hot food that I had just received to pay. At the register while my food is cooling off, I had to WAIT for the manager to finish what she was doing to ring me up. I had planned on getting pie for dessert but changed my mind. My food was now cold. Will not return. The service used to be great, but not any more. $27 for cold food, bad service and no desert. I have eaten here for many years but haven't been here in at least a year. We ate here last week and that had to be the worst meal I have ever eaten. My salad had brown lettuce, the chicken tenders were tasteless (like they were frozen ones), and the mashed potatoes and cream gravy had no flavor. I wrote a review a few years ago and the food was so good. The cook they had then was amazing! No one liked their food and we all agreed it was so much better last time we came. I had to listen to a conversation about broken coffee mugs and who was going to pay for them. They shouted back and forth over my head. I am done with this place. In the past I was really happy with my lunch here, they guys I work with have enjoyed it as well. A few meals were not as good as some, but that is to be expected with any food service. My issue is with whoever is running it in the evenings. I called a few weeks ago 5 times with no answer. I tried again about 2 weeks ago and began my order. I askes what my choices were on the sides. Very rudely the woman said " I am very busy and dont have time to read that list to you" then hung up. Went for breakfast and our waitress (pink hair) was super nice. She was training a new waitress who was on her first day, and she also was very nice and accommodating. I wish the food were better. My daughter's sunny side up eggs came out visibly uncooked on top and had to be sent back, while my other daughter's over hard eggs came with busted yolks and significantly overlooked, and the refried beans that came with my dish were obviously microwaved- so much so that a petrified quarter inch ring of bean surrounded the cup they came in.
