The experience was 'meh', purely transactional and nothing exceptional. The good: -Polite and mostly responsive sales people, knowledgeable about the used truck I was interested in. -ultimately repaired a ripped seat for free (though we never discussed it, nor did I request it), I believe this was in response to a less than average review provided previously The not so good: - Test drove with one sales guy who said they could work with us on price then turned us over to another who flat out would not, even a small concession would have improved this rating, but when the markup was I'm sure in their favor didn't create sympathy for them. - Truck had some big knocks in the brakes 24 hrs after purchasing. They offered to have a look but said we'd have to schedule it online & it would cost us. Took it to Les Schwab and had the brakes fixed for free. - It was usually ~1week between communication from them on the checkins and follow ups on a few items. read more

We had made a deal which was already a steal for them, my truck is worth way more but anyway we agreed on 22.5k on trade in etc. and then I drove 10hrs just for them to go back on their word and offer 20k and then i said no they went to 21k and stayed their so I walked out. Went to buy another truck else where called them sent them everything as well told them what happened at this place and they immediately offered to match the 22.5k AND LESS interest rate! My Mini and I finally got back on the road about two weeks ago. Getting it completely repaired and putting the inside of it back together was a long haul; from the second week of February to the second week of April. Bend Honda did pay for the electrical repair. They refused to replace the carpet, which took weeks of hanging in my garage to dry out. They did not pay for the windshield which was the cause of the problems. Nor did they pay for the replacement of the key fob antenna receiver that was ruined by the windshield leak. You see where I am going with this. They did however, insist that I sign a document that agreed that I would not require anything more from them before they would agree to pay for the electrical repair. The electrical was an expensive endeavor and I understand that eats into their profit. But, the car was not in good condition and that would be their responsibility. And they just were not nice about handling it. I still have to fix the key fob antenna, but at least I am driving it now! As much as I would like to endorse Bend Honda, I cannot. I came in with my elderly parents to trade in their 2 older cars and purchase a new vehicle for my mother. When we pulled up and before we were even out of the car, Davis popped out of the building ready to help us in our search. We were interested in new CRV's and HRV's and decided to test drive both. We found The One, a beautiful 2026 CRV EX-L, loaded with all the bells, whistles and latest tech. Davis was super professional and had ALL the answers to our many questions. While we were there for hours and getting tired, Davis made this experience seamless and very easy, walking us through the process every step of the way. I came to find out that Davis had only been employed at Bend Honda for 3 months and that he was new to the car business. Could have fooled me, he seemed like a pro to us! I purchased a 2021 Toyota Tundra online and had it shipped to me. I was told it passed two inspections, but upon arrival, it made a loud knocking noise when turning fully. I initially thought it was tire rub, but it turned out the CV axle is failing. I also requested a second key fob and was told they'd "see what they could do" -- nothing came of it. They told me that's fine just to bring it in in the next year to add it. So come today and they tell me it has to be added at the time of purchase. I took my Honda crv for check up. It's driving fine just annual maintenance. When I take it home. Car is leaking fluid. I take it back to Bend Honda. They tell me its "residual fluid. ". And actually there is something else that needs fixed. I said this wasn't brought up in tune up I had two days prior. Silence from service person. You say but it's a one time thing. Oh no. A year ago they fixed something that wasn't broken on my car. I took it back since the squeaking I was hearing was still there after I paid them $800. They said oops we fixed the wrong thing. Then charged me to fix the correct thing. Water pump. I swear I would never go back, but I thought, how could this happen again it's the dealership. They are inept and unprofessional. I received a call as I had my car listed on Autotrader by Cole DeCourcey who said they reviewed the website and could come "really" close to the price I had listed. Suspicious, and because time is valuable, I reiterated it would have to be close since I was careful on the Autotrader website to accurately detail the deficiencies such as door dings, a tear in the driver seat, a TPMS dashlight indicator, and the fact that it was due for a timing belt. After driving for a half-hour and then sitting for another half hour, Cole and his manager JJ offered slightly above the trade in price and far less than "close" to the price in which it was listed. Buyer/Sellers beware! A total waste of time. If anyone calls you for a car you have listed, you have now been warned. read more

Recently after owning a vehicle since 2003, ii figured it was time to trade it in. I decided to go to Bend Honda, with my son. Wow what a good choice that was. As I walked in the showroom, I was approached by a salesman named Cody. I introduced myself and could tell right off the bat, that he was kind, no pressure, in a way that made me feel comfortable. As my son myself and him went for a test drive. He shared some of the positive things about the vehicle, I was driving. As we got back to the lot, I was sure this was the car for me. We discussed the price and the vehicle I was trading in. He then lead me to the finance department where everything ran smooth from there. I really appreciate how Cody has called me and followed up on the purchase of the vehicle. Everything has gone great so if you're in the need for a new vehicle, I encourage you to go to Bend Honda. He sent me a video of the car, and was available to answer all my questions. The next day I took the trip over to purchase the car. Called yesterday to make an appointment for a complimentary oil change. Was told bring it in we'll do it while you wait no need for an appointment. So I drove 50 miles one way to be told minimum of 2 hour wait. I suspect in the end they won't honor the oil change as nothing agreed on when I purchased my car has been completed as stated at purchase and the coupon expires in 3 weeks. So I said ok I'm supposed to try to talk to the general sales guy David Thompson about a yelp review. I'm not sure if the rep knew who this person was and told me "why don't you just try to call". Never again Bend Honda. EDIT - after some time to think about this I edited my rating to 2 stars. 1 Star would be too harsh. The car I bought is fine. It's the after purchase experience that has been severely lacking. One instance is I have called service no less than 8 times and left 5 voice messages. Zero have been returned. Christina or Kirsten, Chrissy. ( I wrote her name down but I can not find it at this moment) was rude and condescending. She also said somebody would call me and they didn't. She also put on a forever hold when i called back. So that all being said. If you buy a car here make sure that you are finished with the transaction and that you won't be attempting any after sales services because they certainly will be. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Do not recommend this place to anyone for sales or service! The main reason I'm writing this is about the most recent issue I had with the service department. I got my car from them new at the end of 2019. There have been multiple issues since then. 1.) Last year while it was still under warranty the rear hatch stopped opening. Instead of replacing the part they just jimmied it and left it. They said they would document that it happened in case it breaks again. A month or two later it stopped opening yet again because they never replaced the part to resolve the issue. They were lazy and being cheap. This time, however, when I went back to have it fixed again they were trying to charge me $370 to fix it because the warranty had expired. They should have just REPLACED the part when it broke THE FIRST TIME and actually FIXED IT PROPERLY. This is 100% their fault and they are not owning up to it. They said they would "reach out to Honda and see if they will pay to fix the part even though the warranty had expired" and that they would call me in a few days (never called) after two weeks of not hearing from them (big surprise) I called them and NO ANSWER. I blocked my number and tried again, they freaking answered! I was told that their manager was unavailable for "uhh... at least a few weeks" because of "an emergency." THEY should be eating the cost to fix this issue themselves because THEY messed up and didn't resolve it correctly from the start. That was the catalyst for this review. 2.) The last time I had my car there after it had been 7.5 hours (for a simple oil change) and no call from them, I called and they transferred me to the advisor I was working with, who didn't answer his phone. I called his direct line two more times- no answer. I then called the main service center back twice- no answer. The THIRD attempt at the service department for someone to answer I was put on hold immediately without so much as a single word. Waited on hold for a while while my frustration grew. After trying to contact them for 15 minutes I finally gave up and called the sales department. They answered very quickly and I told them how irritated I was. Only then was I able to speak to someone in service, right away. Interesting. All I wanted was just to find out if I could come get my car yet because they were closing soon an I needed it I shouldn't have to call over and over and over again just to talk to someone when my car is at their facility being serviced. EVERY single time I take my car there I am the one who has to contact them at the end of the day to find out what's going on and if my car is ready yet. 3.) There was a new manufacturer update my car needed for the system and when my car had been there all day (yet again) I called to see if it was done, they hadn't even started it yet and closed in two hours..when I got my car back they had obviously rushed through things and left the piece of liner under my seat to the compartment they were accessing open and didn't reset my service lights. Now, the sales department- 1.) A day or two after trading in my car I realized I had left my ray ban sunglasses that I had had for 12 years with sentimental value, in the compartment of it when trading in. I contacted them and never heard back... 2.) I have the app and was keeping track of my lease and at the time of the end of it I had the option on the app to purchase it for $14,000 by sending a check. I decided to go down to the dealership instead. Mistake. They told me that the way it works is they buy the car from me and then I buy it back from them. Ended up paying $16,000 because they wanted to make commission from selling a car, by having me buy it from them instead of directly from the leasing company. Also have something to say about the fact that my credit score is 827 and somehow the best interest rate they could find for me was 7% but when I called a local credit union they offered me 5% (still ridiculous for an 827 credit score, but that was the state of the market at that time) 3.) They never sent my insurance information to the finance company when I purchased the car. 4.) There was an issue with the paperwork and they had to send me another copy in the mail to sign because they didn't turn it in to the DMV right away. I really really wanted to like this place as I have had multiple family members who have purchased many new cars from them and thought that they were great. Before the rear hatch issue I could overlook their faults but now, no freaking way I will ever be giving my money to them again. You bet I've told each family member who goes there, and everyone I know not to have their cars serviced there or to purchase. I can count the number of negative reviews I've written in my life on one hand, but this is a BIG one because it's unbelievably messed up! Save yourself the headache, money, and time- go somewhere else...literally ANYWHERE else. read more

Bought a truck from BendHonda last November (2020). Overall the sales process was ok, I drove a bunch of models and settled on a Ram Bighorn. We got an ok deal but really had to work for it. We declined the lifetime oil changes but did opt for the 3 for 1 package that covers tires/wheels, roadside assistance and paint less dent removal. Just last week my wife noticed a small ding in the door after coming out of Costco so I called to get it taken care of using the 3 in 1 policy. I was initially told by the service tech that it did not cover dents... getting angry. which confused me as I was looking at the brochure that said explicitly that it does. So I escalated to the guy who I dealt with in Finance and he explained it most assuredly was covered but I would have to call the policy administrator to start the claim. So I did that and was told that I had no such policy assigned in their system... getting angrier. She also told me that they prefer if the dealership opens the case, contrary to what the finance guy said. So I called the dealership back to figure out WTF. After providing them a scanned copy they "found" the missing policy and told me it was going to be submitted but it may take a few weeks so why don't I bring the truck in to have them just take care of this one. I want to believe that they are trying to do the right thing, but my confidence is low. This really makes me wonder how many of these policies get "lost". I should have taken my dad's advice and never, EVER buy the extra coverage. It's a really crappy way to feel after spending so much money. If you were to ask me today, I'd say go somewhere else, BendHonda feels a little shady. read more

Kyle was not in that day. Kevin assured me that it would be no problem to go ahead and process a credit report without having selected a specific truck. I informed him that I wanted to know exactly what my interest rate would be before I made a decision on a truck. He processed a credit report and then offered me a terrible interest rate and told me that I needed to select a specific vehicle and then he would try and call the lender to get a better interest rate. I never write reviews, but I feel as though my experience needs to be shared. I'd been thinking about purchasing a new car for months but had continued to put it off because of stories I'd heard that unfortunately became my reality. I wasn't planning to trade in my 2002 Honda CRV as it was in great shape and I planned to sell it privately. Zack (Honda Manager) ran a CarFax report, and told me that because of 'severe' damage back in 2004/2005, they wouldn't be able to legally sell it on their lot because it's too much of a liability. He advised me that other potential buyers would be able to see the results of this report, and that it would be a deterrence. Because of this, I sold it to Honda for a low price ($1500), understanding that they would not be able to sell it on their lot and make a profit. Days after purchasing a new car from them, I noticed my old car was posted for sale on their website for just under $8000, after Zack told me they couldn't sell it due to liability issues with the CarFax report. I was lied to and made to believe that my car didn't have any value. I called Zack, and he told me I "didn't understand business," and then proceeded to ignore my calls for 1.5 weeks. His manager finally got back to me after that time, and informed me that they'd put "thousands of dollars" worth of work into my car (as they were ignoring my calls) and that I could buy it back for the price they were selling it at. Then, now 2 months later, I get another call from the manager stating that they lost my old car's title and now need to redo that paperwork. Ultimately, this has been an awful experience and it's safe to say that I won't be recommending or visiting this dealership again. I am in business myself and understand that they need to make money, but not at the expense of losing the trust of their customers. I recently initiated an online chat from the Bend Honda web page, and asked what time of day would be least busy for me to bring in my CR-V for an oil change. According to the website, reservations for oil changes were not possible. The person on the other end of the chat took my phone number and informed me that she would have a service department rep contact me. So after a week had gone by with no phone call, I decided to drop in and take my chances. I was told that yes, in fact, oil change appointments were now available due to a policy change. Oh, swell. As the wait time was estimated to be longer than I wanted to sit at the dealership, I opted to have the Bend Honda driver take me home, where I could get some work done. The driver could not have been nicer! The oil change went according to plan, except for the phone call informing me that my cabin air filter needed replacing at a cost of $70. Now, I happened to know something they weren't counting on: This is literally a 2-minute procedure (look it up on YouTube), and the Honda part retails for $20. Aftermarket filters run south of $10. So...thanks but no thanks, Bend Honda. It is not a huge leap to conclude that customers are reamed on repair charges at Bend Honda. After all, who is their competition? One more thing. You know how the dealer washes your car before you pick it up, or at least gives you a car wash voucher? Uh, not here. read more

Quick and dirty review: PROS: AWESOME people (must ask for Kevin) Lovely facility Nice selection of cars CONS: Honestly, my only complaint would be the parking lot is too small to navigate comfortably but not really important. Extended review: Kevin is WONDERFUL! Go in and talk to him, even if you aren't interested in any Honda, he is just the best place to start and an amazing person to talk to. From the moment I walked in he wanted to know what I was interested in and what my needs are, but it didn't feel like he was doing it because some car salesmen handbook told him that's what he is supposed to do (even though it probably does) but because he genuinely wanted to help me find the right car. He was open with opinions but always with the caveat that every person is different and personal preference is important (both to him and to the purchaser). He never made me feel pressured or cheap when I asked to look at the lower trim options. I could literally go on and on about how great this guy is! As soon as I left after my first visit I called my family to tell them about Kevin! The facility is lovely, the perfect Goldilocks dealership, not super small and under-loved, but not super large to the point you feel like you are a faceless body to sell a car to. The finance guy Taylor was friendly, professional, and understanding when I turned down a lot of the "extras". Plus he has pictures of his adorable baby and beautiful wife around his office that made it more comfortable to hand over all my money :) Bottom line: go here! read more

Went in to buy my lease option as my lease is up in a week. My payoff was $12,945.40 cents. They were going to charge me $1000 just to file the paperwork. By the time they were done adding on other things like lifetime oil changes and yadda yadda, I was well over $19,000. I asked them to remove all that hogwash. I asked them to provide me with a reasonable extended warranty price. They wanted over $4000. I purchase an extended warranty every time I have owned a vehicle. That cost is about double what I usually pay. I elected to not purchase anything other than the car. They refused to drop the $1000 fee they were going to charge to buy the car. I walked out of the dealership. I spent a few hours attempting to find a phone number that would work to buy my car from Honda Finance. I called dealers and they gave me numbers to roadside assistance and all other numbers that would not work. I finally went into a dealership and had the finance manager provide me with the phone number he uses. This will save you a lot of headaches, here is the number for purchasing your lease 1-800-708-6555. I called that number and paid off the car in about 5 minutes over the phone. I have had Honda's since 1989, and have loved and trusted them..... until now. I am driving a brand new Honda CRV touring bought in Bend at Bend Honda. The screen, audio, blue tooth, temperature gauge have not worked for the past six months. I have gotten the run around from Bend Service. I had to take my car to Honda in the Dalles Tobey told" Honda does not know how to fix the problem"! I recently went to speak with the manager, Joe at Bend Honda and he played dumb! Said he never heard of such a thing! Honda Corp. knows about it and says sorry, we'll be in touch. While I drive a car that doesn't play music, have phone capabilities, can't use the maps, or change temperature. I've recently joined a class action suit against Honda! My family had a very unfortunate experience with Daniel and Ryan. We have been searching for a larger vehicle to accommodate our growing family and found what we thought was the perfect fit at Bend Honda. We are not local and would be driving 3 hrs one way so we spoke with Daniel to ensure this was going to be worth our time. We asked a few questions via text and over the phone the day before we planned on making the long trek there. During our communication, Daniel relayed that there was a "mistake" in the pricing as there was a discount listed that they "forgot" to include accessories within the price. He stated that they would honor the price we were originally quoted but the website would be updating the price to include the accessories they had "forgotten to include." We showed up the next morning as planned with every intention of leaving the lot with the vehicle at the quoted price. We looked at the vehicle and it seemed like Daniel was unprepared as we had some questions on the technology that he couldn't answer or just didn't know. With having a full day to prep I expected he would do his due diligence and know the vehicle inside and out. Even though that was a bit off putting, we still wanted to proceed with the purchase. After we did the credit check and were finalizing the details, we were advised that they would be removing the accessories from the vehicle unless we paid extra for them. Never was it mentioned during our conversation before that the accessories would need to be peeled off and removed unless we paid the additional amount because of their mistake. We requested to speak with the manager and were introduced to Ryan. After explaining the situation, they still were not budging on honoring the discount for the vehicle they presented to us. This was obviously upsetting so when they said they would pay for our gas in the car we showed up in to go away, we stated we did not want their money. Ryan had the audacity to respond with the snide remark, "sure seems like you want to take my money" in reference to the accessories that were already installed on the vehicle. Weird thing to say to someone that was just about to give you $45k+. Needless to say we left very upset and disappointed that we were lured there over deceptive pretenses. I drove five hours to Bend to purchase a vehicle from this dealership. I worked with Dylan and Bryan, and here's why I loved my experience: 1. He was genuinely interested in getting me the right vehicle, and making sure I understood the Lithia sales process before I made the five-hour drive to Bend to buy a vehicle I hadn't seen in person. 3. You won't find any gimmicks here. No penalties for cash purchases, and they have reasonable and transparent dealer fees. You won't feel like anything has been hidden from you. 4. The vehicle needed a little work on the rear bumper, which they had planned to fix prior to sale. Because I didn't want to wait until the following weekend to make the trip and risk the vehicle being purchased, they credited me the cost of the repair so I could have it done locally and still pick up the vehicle right away. 5. They had a 60-day, no-deductible warranty on the vehicle. If anything goes wrong, I can take it to my local Lithia service department and have it fixed at no-cost. This provided HUGE peace of mind when we considered making the purchase from afar. 6. They were efficient and respectful of my time. Dylan had done some preparation of the paperwork ahead of our arrival, and it only took an hour to get everything done start to finish.
