HPN airport lists this as an option for travel. The posted price at the airport says it costs $25 to travel to valhalla. When we arrived at our destination in Valhalla, the driver said it will be $50, which is absolutely absurd for a 15 minute cab ride. He got VERY defensive when I mentioned it only costs $16 to take an uber but I booked this ahead of time so I wouldn't have to wait, and he insisted that their service always charges $50. To anywhere. When we spoke to the owner he said the lowest they could charge was $45 despite CONFIRMING over the phone upon booking that it was $25. Do not use this service. The airport should remove their number. read more

I should give 0 stars. I made arrangement to have a taxi pick me up at home for an important event. I spoke to the driver who commutes to pick me up. When the time came NO CAR ! Called the company but got an answering machine. Left a message but nobody called back. CAN'T BE TRUSTED. read more

We were so pleased to work with Benedict Taxi. The owner and driver went out of their way to accommodate my elderly parents and myself on multiple trips to/from Manhattan. I have had nothing but great experiences with Benedict. The drivers are always early and for longer drives to the airport they usually send out a more comfortable vehicle. Angel is the best, if I forget to call during normal hours I can just text him to reserve a car. They also stored my credit card for business trips so I don't need to sign after every trip (it gives me that same convenience as uber). The only complaint I have is that sometimes at night they don't answer but that seems to be a theme in tarrytown, hard to find a cab late night. read more

I called yesterday and scheduled for a pick up at 4:45 this morning to go to LGA. Not only did no one show up, but their phone kept ringing through to voicemail. Nothing like trying to find a last minute ride to the airport at 5am for your 6:30 flight. I will not use this service again and definitely do not recommend. read more

Arrived tarrytown station, sunday 11/27....3:45, asked the first in the row taxi driver for the fare to take us 5 blocks to our home. (We thought the rates are $3 for over 65, and $1 for each other person within Tarrytown but wanted to check... ) He said $10. for my husband and I! We looked at the posted rates on the other taxis to be sure... (his weren't posted) and when we called him on it, he said OK, $8. We said no, use the legal rates.....but he drove off with a more willing victim. We know Tarrytown, we live here, but what about visitors who get ripped off like that? There was no visible company name n the car, but the cabbie who took us home said it was Benedict. Car Service. I Have called the company to verify. read more

Needed a cab at Tarrytown trainstation to our hotel and this was the last one available.Driver hardly spoke English (only a few words),drove too fast through town,ran all the STOP signs and called me China(town) after I had paid the fare (my parents come from Indonesia...) and laughed at his own joke.... read more

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. We had two wonderful experiences during our weekend trip to Tarrytown. We were told to call when we needed a ride in the evening as we were leaving the Sunset Cove restaurant after a lovely dinner. We purposely did not take the car from the hotel we were staying at (about a mile away) because of the ease of using this car service. We called at about 9:00pm for a return trip. No car came. We called back about half an hour later and the dispatcher seemed surprised that a car had not come. 25 minutes later...no car. When we called back and this same dispatcher said that no one wanted to come to this restaurant (a very popular attraction in Tarrytown) and hung up. Thankfully, the manager, who was the last to leave, gave us a ride back to our hotel about a mile away on South Broadway. We were completely baffeled that the dispatcher did not call us back to inform us that no car was going to come. Apparently, there are many other car services to use in Tarrytown (as well as Uber and Lyft). So now we all know...USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. read more

I wish I could give them no stars. I was given this cab information from a co worker who advised me to call ahead to ensure I would picked up on time. I called an hour prior to when I needed a cab. I was assured that I would have a cab by 1:00 pm and was further advised to call in 10 minutes before to get my cab number and color. I gave instructions to pick me up from the back entrance and was told no problem. At this point I was enthusiastic. I called 10 minutes before, got the information and was ready to go. My arrival time came and I walked outside. There was no car. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I knew I was being picked up from work and they have to go through a security gate. So I ran back inside to get my scarf which I left in my haste to get outside on time. I was on a very tight schedule because I was on lunch. I get back outside still nothing. I called the dispatcher and he said my cab would arrive in a few minutes. I decided to be proactive and walk to the front gate. No cab passed on the five minute walk to the gate. I called several times after that and the calls went to voicemail. I even called blocked with no answer. I could not believe how unprofessional they were. I decided I would borrow a car which I did not want to do. I had to walk back from the front gate to the office to borrow a car which I wanted to avoid. As soon as I begin to drive from the front entrance I see my cab. At this point I am beyond furious. The cab wasn't even going to the right entrance so I would have been standing outside in the back with no cab. I park the car I borrowed and take the cab since I was trying to avoid driving in the first place. I told the driver i was in a rush and he asked why I didn't call ahead. I told him that I called an hour prior and the whole song and dance I did. The driver was surprised and said that he received a text 10 minutes after my pick up time of 1:00 pm. I wanted to lose it, but I could not take it out on the driver who had no control over when the dispatcher gave him instructions. But the headache and inconvenience was horrible. I usually drive and in the future if I need a taxi in Tarrytown I will look elsewhere. read more
