I got my eyebrows waxed at benefits cosmetic counter in Macy's. Unfortunately I don't know the name of the woman who did my eyebrows however when I first encountered her she was very rude and then when she found out I had money she was then very polite. I left her an $8 tip and I shouldn't have even done that because when she introduced my $15 eyebrow pencil to me I thought I had found gold for myself. However she did not give me a receipt and now I don't know if I can return it that's their little get down when they sell you some crappy product they don't give you the receipt I'm going to the store tomorrow to see if they can do anything about this seeming as they did not give me a receipt. I'm originally from Morocco and since I moved to the USA I had my thick brows have been chopped left and right and I finally decided I'm never going to let anyone touch my brows. If I could give a lower score I would. I walked into Macy's and 5 girls were standing behind the benefit counter talking to each other. When I asked if there was time for eyebrows they told me I would have to come back in 30 minutes for an appointment. I can acknowledge that maybe not all of them do eyebrows but there was no one in Macy's and all five of them were standing around. They were all so rude I just left. Never coming back here again, this is why the Capitola mall is dying. Because of the terrible customer service and the fact that clearly no one really wants to do work. read more

The people that work here are great. They do a great job on my eyebrows every time and are always on time and prepared for the appointments. they are also extremely clean. Its nice that they also offer to apply some makeup or cover up after your wax is done so that you look like when you walked in which is really nice. I have literally have all the girls wax my eyebrows and trust all of them since they are all very professional. The Benefit Brow Bar in Macy's is my place to get my brows and upper lip waxed and shaped. I used to go to nail salons to get eyebrows waxed and have been burned. I also have tried treading and just seems so painful with the constant pull of each strand of hair. My skin is sensitive and the wax they use at Benefit is great for my skin. I request for Emily who I believe is the Benefit manager. She is awesome! She always asks what you request your brows to look like as far as shape and thickness. She takes her time and explains what she will be doing. She is a true professional - great with her conversational skills and makes you feel comfortable and welcomed. read more

I've been getting my brows done here for about a year and half and I couldn't love it more. I would never go anywhere else for a waxing! I get my lip and brows waxed by Kelly or Sam. Even though Kelly always does a great job, nobody does my brows like Sam does. She's great at what she does and she's polite and easy to talk to! I leave with perfect-looking brows, limited skin tenderness, and no pain at all. It's easy to make an appointment by calling ahead (or you can just drop in and wait) and the entire staff is super courteous. The most unorganized rude group I've ever talked to . You guys are a team and need some work on communicating with each-other. One old blonde Caucasian girl tells me the walk-ins are booked and there isn't space until 1 or 45 minutes from now for me to book an appointment so I speak to my friend. Go back to make an appointment and the other girls tells me they don't do appointments?? Then another girl speaks to her and tells her to write me down for 2:30 she said they don't do it by the half hour...??? So i make it at two. I walk around finish what i have to do and call to ask if any spots cleared up for me to go she said in 10 minutes they could take me. I walk in and the same blonde tells me no. That my appointment was at 2. I told her I spoke to someone on the phone and she said no I didn't??? When I called they already knew my name.. because it was written down. It HAD to be that place. She told me I didn't call and she couldn't take me because she needed to take a break... That I would have to wait 45 minutes. There were plenty of other girls there and empty seats. Didn't apologize once didn't try to clear the situation at all. Had the worst attitude and stank facial expression ever. The wait is ridiculous even if you do have an appointment. Once you are seated they take 30 minutes just doing your eyebrows...everyone should definitely try the European wax center instead. read more
