I hadn't been to Benihana in years, so I was especially excited to come for an early dinner on a holiday weekend. We were seated promptly and warmly greeted by our server, Sammy. Our table was a party of four (us and another couple), and Sammy was fantastic. He was extremely attentive throughout the entire meal--taking our orders, bringing appetizers, and making sure our drinks were always full. One issue I often run into with hibachi dining is having to flag someone down for water or drink refills, but that was never the case here. Sammy was consistently on top of everything, and it was truly appreciated. As for the appetizers we ordered edamame (not pictured) which were good but nothing special and the spicy chicken pot stickers which were very spicy. Our chef, Noel-Louis, was equally great. I requested no mushrooms in my vegetables, and when I asked for my vegetables to be cooked a bit longer, he gladly accommodated. He also prepared some leftover chicken fried rice and served us a small portion to try--which was absolutely delicious. For my entrée chicken, he offered different sauce options and finished it with teriyaki sauce, which made it especially flavorful. I know hibachi can vary a lot depending on the chef, and this experience was outstanding enough that I specifically asked for his name so I can request him in the future. A nice added touch was an employee who came around offering complimentary photos. Within minutes, it was printed for us to take home as a keepsake from our visit. My only critique is please have happy hour on holidays!! I came here to celebrate my friend's big birthday. There were five of us and we had our own table which was nice. It was my first time eating at this Benihana. Our server, Lisa, was very nice. She came around often to see if anyone needed anything. I ordered the filet mignon meal. Let me say that sometimes pictures do not do a meal justice. I enjoyed my meal. Looking back at these pictures doesn't do the food justice. I started with the soup which could have been hotter. It was still tasty. The salad had lots of dressing as requested. I bought a container of it to take home. My filet mignon was cooked to medium as I requested. It was delicious. I thought the rice was not as good as usual. The other ladies didn't notice a difference so maybe it was my taste buds. The vegetables were very tasty. Our chef gave us a great show. He was very cordial. I had a good experience here. Classic Benihana in a newer building setting. We are blessed to have gone to many Benihana locations, and the Boca restaurant gives you that cool upscale vibe. You order according to number of people. Started to order for two but I ordered for one. There was at least two cups of fried rice, veggies and generous portions of all three proteins. Also had the crispy fried calamari with peppers. It was good but not great. A little overcooked. The biggest winner? Fried rice with steak, shrimp and chicken. My boyfriend and I came here on a Tuesday night to celebrate my birthday. It was not a long wait for us to be seated and we had a reservation. Only two others sat with us. When we arrived, the place was packed! The teppan chef did a great job and had some good jokes (it's a consistent experience when I come here once a year.) I like the hibachi food and service was excellent. Our server Jayden made me feel very special on my birthday with his professionalism and warm attitude. Benihana is a wonderful spot for celebrations I just wish there was more variety and personality in the teppan chefs. I wish the jokes varied every time I came in. Chefs with a personality may be hard to find but it would be cool if they were able to test out some of their own skills/tricks. They sang me happy birthday in English and in Japanese. I also got a free sherbet with a candle in it. If you sign up for their emails in advance, you can get a coupon for your birthday. We were here for a birthday party and the dinner show included flying shrimps, onion volcanoes, food art and other entertainment. Food was okay but too much sauce was used for my tastebuds. A group of us went to Benihana in Boca Raton for lunch. We were so excited to enjoy hibachi for lunch. However, we quickly realized this lunch would not be an enjoyable experience. When we arrived, no one was there to greet anyone. After standing there for almost 10 minutes, someone came to greet us but said we would need to wait a few more minutes before we were seated. Unfortunately, we would not be able to enjoy hibachi cooked in front of us due to not having a chef available. Therefore we were seated by Ingrid at a booth. After we were seated, it took almost another 10 minutes for our waitress to come to our table. It was becoming apparent they were either short staffed or lacked time management which is why we gave our drink and food orders at the same time. As we were waiting for our food, we noticed more people coming in and leaving after not being seated. We spoke to Ingrid who identified herself as one of the managers what was causing the extensive wait. She began to share how short staffed they were and overall concern about upper management not properly scheduling staff. When we finally received our food, it was time to leave to return to work. Due to the experience Ingrid was kind enough to adjust our bill. However, the overall lunch experience at Benihana's was disappointing for a restaurant who has created a legacy surrounding their experience. I doubt we will return to this location again read more

We ordered online after walking in the prior day to confirm a Christmas Eve to go order . The staff instructed/ insisted we place it online. At 5PM on 12/24 we received notification that our order was cancelled. After a 20 minute hold time , we were told that they were backed up and could not accommodate us . Besides having to wait over 2 hours for a table.. which was blamed on the new external reservation system. They were completely overbooked. The front desk staff stayed super sweet and calm- even though people were getting rude about waiting.. it clearly wasn't their fault. Finally made it here to use my birthday certificate that was extended from last month. Found parking right away in front of the entrance. Hostess was missing and the phones are super dusty but greeted by pleasant waitresses who sat us right away. Not busy on Labor Day. We ordered hot sake for two and spicy chicken dumplings. Dumplings were not hot when they came out but so delicious I had to hang on to the sauce it came with. Salad with ginger dressing and onion soup comes with entree. The garlic butter that is sautéed with the fried rice smells heavenly but the grilled onions burned my eyes. The purple party colada was refreshing. Pineapple and rum with every sip. The seafood Diablo did not disappoint. Huge shrimp, scallops and calamari with udon noodles in creamy spicy sauce. Flavors just melt in your mouth and it's enough to take some home for later.
