We booked for our anniversary. Been to others before and pretty excited. We were told when we arrived that even with a reservation it was going to be a while. The hostess was NOT nice to anyone. After about 40 mins we were seated. The room we were in was FREEZING. We were seated and given appetizers and drinks but it took another 45 mins after that before our food was made. The bathrooms were also disgusting and the restaurant itself was not very clean. We are completely understanding that people are short staffed. And our waitress and cook were very nice. Chef Mike and our server Christine were both fantastic! It was Mother's Day, so the restaurant was PACKED. Mike took the time to honor all the mom's at the table. Chef Mike was very good at ensuring everyone with allergies were taken care of without cross contamination and still managed a good show, and produce DELICIOUS meals! Definitely wouldn't recommend this "restaurant". We had a reservation for 6:45pm, received a text at 6:35 saying our table was ready but weren't seated until almost 7:10. This was (I would assume) due to a staffing shortage, even though the bar was empty and 3 hostesses and a manager had to be behind the hostess counter, ha! Our server told me that they don't bring out green tea (included in our meal package) unless someone requests it, which I thought was odd, as what if someone wants it but doesn't want to ask for it or assumes it automatically came out - since it was included in the meal package? She misquoted our fried rice upcharge ($1 vs. $5.40), which after explanation I understand to a degree (she normally works lunches, where it's only $1)...but she assumed that we were going to pay it until I asked her to fix the check. Our food had little flavor, came in small portions, and the teppan chef was nice but sloppy. We ordered a few sushi apps which weren't fresh at all. I utilized my $30 birthday reward certificate but still ended up paying almost $100 for a Chili's quality teppan table dinner. Decor was very worn, Benihana's dress code on the website was NOT adhered to whatsoever, and the whole experience was a total joke. read more

Went to dinner on Saturday night and had a reservation for 6:45. Took 20 minutes to be seated even after arriving 10 minutes early. Waited for the chef for another hour but had a $15 cocktail and a small salad and soup. We were seated in the back room where there are 2 tables and we sat there for what seemed like forever. When the chef arrived, he was tired and had low energy. I ordered a filet mignon as part of the Trio. I asked for medium rare but when I was served it was literally raw and still cold from the refrigerator. After 2 hours, waiting for this cold meat was such a bummer. $250 for 3 people. Food quality was not up to par. Service was terrible. I felt totally ripped off. Avoid this place, as the juice is nowhere worth the squeeze! read more

This was my wife's and I first date night in about a year due to having new born baby and it was everything I expected as Benihana is my personal favorite place to go for any occasion. Made our reservation for 8:45pm arrived around 8:35pm and we were seated much faster then i expected for the busy night they were having. Our server Issac was more then helpful with all questions and requests I had as I got about 4 different drinks which were all amazing by the way just wanted to try new things that night. Our cook Mike was awesome and made sure all of our food was prepared exceptionally well while being a fun energetic Beni's cook we all love for the extremely busy saturday night they were having. I have been to Benihana many times and always had a pleasurable experience. However, tonight was not the case. We had to wait about 35 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. We finally got seated and the waitress said to the table, "are we celebrating anything tonight? Birthdays? Anniversaries? ABORTIONS? The entire table awkwardly and uncomfortably looked at her. I looked to my wife and in disbelief said, "did she just say abortions?" I don't care what side of politics you stand on, right, left, somewhere in between. It is completely unprofessional to bring up your highly controversial thoughts when you are going to provide paying patrons service. Overall I would give this experience 0 stars if I could! Yes the food is great it's cooked in front of you and the conversations are very interesting. They ask you what you desire in your meal. They cater to kids as well.
