Great!!! We went last night for my niece's birthday. The look of the restaurant is nice. They have it spaced out in a way that gives you a more private feel to your party. Our server, unfortunately I don't remember her name, was wonderful! Very friendly and helpful. Answered all our questions and kept our drinks filled. Our appetizers didn't take too long to show up. I'm not a huge sushi fan, but everyone liked the rolls they got. The chicken gyoza was yummy! Then our chef was hilarious!!!!! He was very interactive with us and made everyone laugh. Benihana is one of our all time favorite places. Sitting at the bar is quick with great service from Dee. Always good food!

First let me mention that you should definitely book a reservation a couple of days prior. We were lucky to be seated as a walk in when we came in on a Saturday night and only had to wait 10 minutes but the wait would've been longer. When the three of us were able to sit in a hibachi table with 4 others the waiter was able to take our order pretty quickly, the only downside was the wait for when we would get our soup and salad and when the chef would appear. But I do realize that a lot of service places are short staffed. However, once he came it was game time and we enjoyed the show he gave us and the food was absolutely delicious and filling. The yum yum sauce added the perfect touch to my hibachi chicken!! The soup and the ginger salad were also hot and crisp. Tak was our chef and he was the nicest and gave us the best hibachi experience... I'm still dreaming of these plates! We will definitely be back :) read more

This place is the last place you wanna make a reservation because in reality they take a reservation and means nothing to them. We got there and there is another 20 people have the same reservation of 8 PM. Not only that Manager came in with the bad nasty attitude telling everybody we are different restaurant and we're doing our best. You just have to wait we ask how long they say 45 to an hour and that is also a lie is no way they could see these people in an hour the last time we were there on Valentine's Day as well reservation at eight they start serving us at 10:30 PM and that pushed the manager to give us some $10 stupid gift cards So hear what I say unless you have all day to wait. do not bother make a reservation in thisplace. The food is not bad but it is overpriced for that it is. I used to love coming here but honestly the quality has declined tremendously. We sat at the hibachi table since we had kids and thought it would be perfect for them. The chef was not bad but barely did any of the tricks that they do. The food was just ok. Our waitress was wonderful though. The Mai tais were delicious too. The food for our youngest son was never served to him. We shared our with him but that was a bummer. We paid over $200 for 3 people (2 adults and 1 kid since the other one was not served) but I don't feel it was worth the money. read more

I don't go out of my way for this place but when I do go here, I always remember how much fun I have and how great the food is! I love this place because they have the cook in front of you here and it is always so much fun watching my food get prepared but a chef that likes to have fun while cooking! I usually opt for the hibachi chicken which is Chicken breast and mushrooms grilled with sesame seeds which also comes with fried rice. The chicken breast is always cooked and chopped perfectly and the seasoning on it is always wonderful as well. It is always juicy and that is one benefit of this place because I have never had food from here that was dry or overcooked. The rice is also really good and not to greasy like other hibachi places that I have been to. The starter salad is also great and the dressing that they use is wonderful and if I could drink it, I would! The staff is always friendly here and they are attentive as well. Prices are decent but a bit on the higher end, but you do get what you pay for when the food is being cooked right in front of you and made to order! Came today for a family birthday and it didn't feel as special as everyone hypes up Benihana's to be. Very lack luster ambiance, kind of dark and not much of a view and felt pretty tight inside. Now our chef definitely made things a little awkward with the way they spoke to us. Didn't say anything but could tell the mood definitely shifted and wasn't in a good way either. Seemed more of a chore for the chef regardless of how delicious the food was, it truly took away from the experience. Could have been a lot better and nicer with the people who keep your doors open. Definitely hope to come back around and see a change of pace, but we shall have to wait and see in the future. read more

I'm really surprised and upset by having to write a review like this for what used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Sadly, this location has gone downhill fast. Bathrooms are not stocked properly. Two of three bathrooms were without toilet paper the two times I went in there. There were no paper towels available. Trash was overflowing in the bathroom. If I would have seen this at the beginning of my visit, I would have left because the bathroom is a sure sign of cleanliness in the kitchen. The same can be said for the trash in the bar area. I walked through that area to go to the bathroom and there were straw wrappers all over the floor and their blue garbage can was filled to the top with garbage. This is in plain sight of the patrons. It is extremely unappealing while people are eating or even to walk through. Service was fair. We had to ask for drink refills several times. At the table behind where we were sitting, there were a bunch of employees sitting there joking around with Chick-fil-A cups and a bag of pretzels from Staples. It just seemed odd to me that there were Chick-fil-A cups and food containers everywhere in plain sight of customers. It is just like restaurant management does not give a hoot. Friends are also scattered throughout the restaurant but apparently don't get used very often because the floors were a mess. I used to say that Benihana was consistently good. Maybe the service or even drinks were off of it but never the food. Well, this location has changed that. The onions in the soup were different and have no flavor. I asked the server if they change Brands and he said no. The chicken fried rice was excellent. It was cooked just right. The main dish for me was filet mignon. This is usually seasoned to perfection but on this occasion was pretty bland. I had to use ginger sauce to try and make the meat taste better. I feel as if this visit was a nightmare and not a real restaurant experience. I am actually appalled by this visit. I cannot believe I had an experience like this at this type of restaurant. This used to be a fine dining restaurant but this location has gone downhill quick. It is a somewhat expensive meal and I feel like I was in a fast food restaurant. I was at the Fort Lauderdale location twice this year and that one was only slightly better. I don't know where to go from here Benihana's. You used to be one of my favorite restaurants but I cannot justify going to one of your restaurants and being annoyed and not even enjoying the food nearly as much as I used to. read more

On the positive side, The Establishment is attractive. The tap lights on the table are especially novel and you can control a bit of your own lighting Ambiance by tapping it. The green rope lighting around the bar is a nice touch and pleasing to the eyes. The window shades are brilliantly done to allow light in at the top, filter light into the restaurant through the mesh yet block visibility of the business environment outside. The entree portion size was very ample. There was music playing in the background. Not too loud. Modern. Not mellow fine dining music but still okay. The restaurant disappoints in it's attempt to match it s price point with the level of service it provides. Starting with: we were seated by the hostess and handed only one menu for the two of us. My companion had to ask for a menu the next time she passed by. The menu that she handed me was broken in sixth places and was dirty. Looked like it had been retrieved from the garbage. Suggestion: look at the menus you're handing people and see if they are clean and in good condition. They are damaged in any way throw them out. These menus are like a rigid placemat. It was a, you got to be kidding moment! I had second thoughts about dining there from that moment. (Only highlighting the points of interest here): The waiter introduced himself. Asked for our order as he stood by the machine where you input the order about 8 ft away from me. I looked at him like you want me to tell you my order from 8 ft away? So he walked to the table to take the order verbally. I ordered a steak that had fried eggs on it. I asked him how the eggs were fried. His response was "the regular way". Now I am aware he is inexperienced and does not have the proper training, does not have product knowledge, doesn't know the difference between Sunny Side Up, over easy and over hard. I was a bit embarrassed for him. He delivered the salad the bread and a small glass container of what looked like drawn butter with herbs in it. I thought might be the salad dressing. It was a perfect opportunity for our waiter to interact with his customers and explain what that sauce was made of and what it was used for. I asked if it was drawn butter he said no it was chimichurri sauce. I still didn't know if it was for the salad or the bread. On the bright side it was delicious. My salad didn't have much flavor. Very sparse dressing. Where is my companions had a lot. I wasn't going to ask at this point. I just set it aside. Just before the food arrived the waiter came to remove any finished plates including the table setting plates to prepare for the delivery of the food. He took my companions silverware off of the table setting plate and put it directly onto the table and removed the plates. Another you're kidding me moment! I grabbed my silverware before he could take it and put it on my salad plate and push it to the side away from him so he wouldn't touch my silverware and place it directly on the table. Do I really need to explain this one ? The waiter should have replaced the used silverware with clean silverware rather than set it on the table. When we received our food I requested that the food delivery person hand us a clean setup from the adjacent table for my companion. Additional suggestions: when a server has time to interact with the customer to build rapport, or upsell to increase the check/ add value to the establishment of employees him, he should take the time to do so. You should ask when first greeting the customer is this your first time here? And if appropriate explain some things about the restaurant or the food. For a restaurant of this price point I would recommend tablecloths with a padding underneath to reduce noise. And linen napkins however many restaurants will want to cut costs and corners and not spend the money. It would however make a very good impression. Additionally there should be a standard of service that every server is trained to follow to represent the establishment. It seems this establishment is trying to attract a higher-end clientele. With steaks priced roughly between 50 and $60. I would return to give this restaurant another try. Hopefully they will make a few changes to improve the experience. I would like to see them succeed and hope they take the quality of the service seriously and seek feedback from their customers so they can continually improve read more

If I can give zero stars I would I went for my birthday and ordered two fish bowls punches. The punches had zero alcohol. I spoke to the server. Why was there no alcohol in our drinks she said there's 4% alcohol inside of the drink . She then brought Manager who stated he will not change the drinks for us since they are premade. Each drink was $40. I tried to dispute with them that there are no alcohol in our drinks and none of them believe us. Then we ordered an old-fashioned. I realized there was more alcohol in the old fashion than in the other drinks. Please don't order a fishbowl they have no alcohol in them and they will not return them even if you don't like them do not order the fishbowl.
