I bled twice. Is it impossible to get acrylic fills without the sander making you bleed? The finished job looked okay, but it took 4 days to heal, and I worried the entire time about infection. You know, I felt bad for the lady, I don't think she spoke much english, and she quickly tried to put some sort of solution on the finger to make it stop bleeding (which stung like crazy), but she nicked the finger next to it, so i don't think I will go back. She apologized as best she could but now I am scared....and infections in these places are real. read more

I was a very loyal costumer here for a couple of years but I stopped going last summer. I would bring my family members or go alone so they were very familiar we me and my friends/family. There was a different outcome for my nails each time I went: they either came out pretty good or really bad. It was really hit or miss. The cleanliness is ok and the service is pretty good, but prices went up and quality went way down. Nails would snap, chip, and lift after one week. The reason I stopped going was because a family member of mine got completely scammed for her nails. Her friend got the exact same set and almost paid half the price. I'm sure they did this and took advantage of her because she is young. I called kim and confronted her and she scrambled on the phone to justify the price but when we did the math together there was still a $20 overcharge, I gave up and hung up. I've been going here since 2019. I've always liked the staff and Kimi always makes you feel very welcome. But the last 4 or 5 manicures have been pretty terrible. My biggest complaint is the paint either raising up from the nail bed or chipping (2-3 days after, and I'm not rough on my nails). I absolutely did not want to stop going here. I love the location and I just signed up at the gym next door. Another reason to stay there. But I just don't have the time to keep going back for a fix. This place is a great hidden gem that everyone should know about! They were really accommodating for a last-minute appointment especially given nowadays where you have to make a reservation everywhere. My friend who I went with actually said that she has found her new nail place because she was so satisfied at the speed in which they worked for her shellac fill. They have a great variety of services when it comes to different types of pedicures manicures as well as waxing. There's a huge wall of different colors that you can go for either typical nail polish or four different shellac colors. Everything was clean the massage chairs were great and my pedicure felt amazing I had a really great and accommodating has she even gave me a cup of champagne for my service. They preferred cash tips and have an ATM available there and are willing to also give you a cash refund for using the atm. Everyone was super hospitable. I think your prices are probably similar to other places that you might go to for pedicure services I believe my friend still was $36 and she was actually pretty happy and surprised by that. Got a chin wax and manicure. The quality of both services were poor. The gel started peeling on day 2. I called and they said they could not take me until 5 days later. I went as planned and they said I was 5 days late. They told me they could not see me. My chin hairs had to be redone at home with a tweezer. They ask for cash for a reason. Scammers! There is no way to hold them accountable after you pay with cash. I will be reporting them to the Consumer Business Affairs unit of the AG. read more

I came in for a pedicure and was charged $5 for shellac removal even though I did not have shellac polish on my toes. The women who worked there were gossiping about another customer who was crying in the shop. The woman that was servicing her announced loud enough for the whole salon to hear, "You can't cry in my chair because people will think I did something to you!" Then the lady that did my pedicure then said to me, "She's crying because it hurts and she can't move" and laughed. Then she listened more and said, "Oh actually she's crying because her friend left." And then proceeded to laugh with the other technician next to her. The woman was obviously upset and they just drew attention to her. Not to mention, the constant asking and pressuring for add-ons made the experience uncomfortable. I understand offering politely, but their approach was very pushy and almost desperate. Everything had an upcharge. I was genuinely surprised they didn't charge me for the sandals I had to ask for because I wore sneakers there. Hell, maybe they did charge me extra though. I didn't wanna argue, so I just paid and went about my day. My pedicure turned out fine, but the environment was filled with drama. I'll pick a different spot next time I visit that area. read more

Bad customer service :/ I was told to come in after an hour to get my nails fixed, and when I came in, a lady insisted that I would have to sit there for another whole two hours and redo the entire nail. I would have appreciated being told they couldn't fix the nail in the first place rather than making me wait so long. There are much better salons in the area. read more

By far the worst pedicure I have ever received. The price was very deceiving and I was not corrected multiple times when I mentioned the prices to my party and talked to the nail tech about price. The picture is an hour after I got the pedicure. She did not finish the polish job and it looks super sloppy. In the first picture you can see where she smeared polish on the other toes. Outside of the picture there is polish smeared on my actual foot. It totaled to be $60 for a partial done job. I would not recommend going here at all. read more

I've been going to Benitoite Nails for a year now. The old workers were amazing! Now it's all new people who are very very rude and do horrible work. Save your money and go somewhere else that will make you happy! Today I went back to give the new crew another change. I got a full set and a pedicure. The guy doing my pedicure was very rude and kept trying to argue with me about prices. I didn't worry about it and moved on to my full set. The lady who did my nails was so rude! The entire time she didn't say one word to me besides arguing of how short to do them. She kept yanking my hands and pushed my arm out of the dryer when I told her they weren't done drying. When I went to go dry my hands I noticed they were all crooked and mentioned to her and she didn't say a word, she kept going. My cuticles are bleeding and too short. At the end they gave me a wrong price and wanted me to pay over $100 for a regular pedi and a full set. The girl who gave me the price couldn't even count my money, she had to call someone over there to count it. Then what happened blew me away they tried giving me back short change!! Interesting little place. Prices are reasonable for sure- $25 for a pedicure. Most staff is friendly, but if you get the wrong one- you're in for it! They cut my toenails a little too short, and it was a rather painful experience than relaxing for the pedicure. The water, I felt was BOILING hot, while my friends was ice cold. Neither were preferable. One lady did both of our pedicures, doubling our chair time. I would go back, maybe to try a manicure but it probably wouldn't be my first choice. read more

I am going to a themed party and had decided to get black polish for the event. I just wanted them to take off the rest of my acrylic set and put on a polish since I didnt care if it lasted as long as shellac.... Well...be careful what you wish for. The woman said it would be faster to run a fake tip under my acrylics to take them off instead of soaking them first. In the process she tore three nails down to the skin so she smeared some super glue on them and continued to the next nail. Then she did my polish and out my hands under a fan and walked away. I sat there long enough for another woman next to me to get an entire new shellac polish. I thought by then my nails would be dry so I reached into my purse and smudged a thumb and the man doing nails said to dry more. During this he got halfway through his SECOND client since id had my nails in the dryer. My woman finally came out and laughed saying "oooh nooo, you can go now!" Now, 1 1/2 hours after leaving my nails are so smudged that some parts of my nail dont have any polish left at all...I am SO disappointed. read more

The staff: very friendly, ask exactly what you want and make sure you get it, nice people, good senses of humor. I found out about Benitoite by accident. I saw a review for a different salon and they mentioned that Benitoite does the best Shellac in the Portland metro area. You mystery reviewer, are correct. Lucky for me they are only 5 mins away from my office so I was able to stop by after work. My 3.5 week french mani is still going strong and looking good.
