I Have been hearing about this restaurant for some time now on the YouTube show "If you don't like that" with Grant Napear, told my wife I'll take her while in town for Christmas and let me tell you it did not disappoint. 5 stars all the way around. I've had the pleasure of visiting Bennett's Westside Grill a number of times since they opened their new location in Rocklin! It's my most favorite place for dinner and cocktails. I've been to all 3 of their locations and I enjoy them all. I am gluten intolerant and I can honestly say I've never had such amazing GF meals and options...even clam chowder which is fabulous!! I just learned they have GF garlic bread so I will definitely be trying it out on my next visit. If you haven't been to Bennett's Westside Grill, I highly recommend. It's perfect for a date night or getting together with the girls. Love the ambience! They did a fabulous job designing this restaurant and the location is perfect with plenty of parking! Came here in the evening of Thanksgiving. Place was not bad. We tried the Steak Frites, some fish taco dish, prime rib and something else....can't remember The steak frites were really good. Been looking for something in the area and this one fulfills that craviing. The steak had a new chew, cooked medium as requested and the fries were crispy. I finished the whole plate. Yes, i'm an animal - sue me. One in our party ordered the prime rib. They ordered medium rare, which is way too under for me. Tasted like very chewy undercooked meat. I think they liked it. I wasn't a fan at that doneness. The mash potatoes were good. The fish taco....was overcooked. It was just bleh. Would not order again. All in all, not bad. Good food. Will come back here on a non-Thanksgiving time with a more extensive menu. read more

I went there the first time last weekend. The service was nice and the restaurant was beautiful. What surprised me was how bad the food was. I ordered fish tacos. Received 2 tacos with two very small, very dry, and very cold pieces of fish. They were almost too tough to eat. Then they added additional ingredients to the slaw to make it look bigger. But it was Arugula. Didn't work flavor wise. Then my friend ordered the enchiladas and they were very spicy. She could not eat them as well as the beans because they were spicy. So they got 2 out of three good on the restaurant scale. But I would not recommend it. When I mentioned the bad fish they just said I will tell the kitchen. read more

Beautiful restaurant, friendly staff but one major issue for me and others around me. STOP PUTTING THE RED WINE IN THE FREAKING FRIDGERATIR! I guess they can't figure out this very simple norm. Red wine is supposed to be a few degrees below room temperature. That's it! This is going to force me to bring up my own wine. They're going to lose money with wine drinkers who but whatever. Wierd! I came in to this restaurant for the first time with my husband. We are picky about restaurants and this one is very good. The ambiance is very nice and the menu had a lot of choices. I had the chicken tortilla soup and it was delicious. It was a good portion and had a lot of chicken and veggies in it. The wine selection was great. Our server was Shonda. She was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu and wines. She suggested a very nice glass of red for me to go with my dessert. We will definitely be back again. read more

I love the new location! It's right next to the movie theater so it's perfect to stop in for food and drinks before the show. I've always loved the Sacramento Bennett's and this lives up the name. I just wanted to share some positive feedback about our dining experience at the west side Grill on September 27. Your staff was very accommodating even though we were a half an hour late for our reservation. My wife is a vegetarian was really thankful that you had Vegetarian options. She had the Tri mushroom burger. All of your staff was very welcoming. Efficient, and the food was excellent. I had the redfish. We were in a bit of a time crunch because we were going to see Seinfeld later that night. Timing was perfect. First time here and forgot to take before pictures. It is very clean and inviting. We were quickly served by Tik... he was funny and attentive. We ordered the raspberry martinis delish! Then I got the mushroom burger. The flavors are delicious. The patty is very soft and kept squishing out the sides but it was so good I just kept scooping it back in. The side salad was overdressed with oil, i thought the dressing would come on the side but it had lots of extra add ins in it and was more than just lettuce which is great. My friend got a salad with dates and chicken and she loved it. We of course had to get fries to share and the ranch that comes with it is amazing as well. Tried the new Bennett's Sunday for dinner. I love that you can make reservations online. That is so unheard of on the weekends in Roseville. Food is pricey for sure, and it was a bit disorganized when we went to check in. But, we got lucky with a server who knew her stuff! Thank goodness for her because as I looked around there wasn't a whole lot of that going on. The price we paid for our meal was almost worth it because of Tammy. This place has a very cool "vibe" ....very clean lines inside, great lighting, VERY cool restaurant addition to Rocklin!!! I have been there four times now, twice having the Salt and Pepper Shrimp 'tostada...excellent!!! The first one came out right away and the shrimp was extraordinary...crisp, hot, succulent and salt and peppery!!! The lavender lemonade is excellent as are the drinks! They also have a Monday night special which is awesome...great price for three courses! This is the NEW Paul Martins, but not with the recent prices or PM. Saturday evening, September 14th, my friend and made dinner reservations here before heading to a concert. We were greeted right away and sat quickly. We were served by a waited named Jazzy who came to us quickly and was very friendly. Having never been to Bennett's before we had a few questions about the menu which she did a nice job answering for us. We ordered the 3 dip appetizer, a couple of Mocktails, and decided we'd have the bone in ribeye for 2 (no price listed on the menu) done medium along with a side of asparagus. Our drinks and appetizer came out quickly and we began to enjoy our food. The lavender lemonade was refreshing but could have maybe used a little more lavender. The appetizer was good and the chips were flavorful, however the pimento cheese dip was just a little too thick for our liking but had good flavor. Someone from the kitchen arrived shortly and had us pick from 3 large thick ribeyes for our entree. We continued on with our appetizer and ordered another mocktail (spicy dream) which was really good. Our entree came out one a carving board pre-sliced for us and smelled delicious. The asparagus was huge and roasted nicely. We began to eat and I took a small piece of meat to eat while my friend began eating the asparagus. The ribeye was very flavorful but as I was eating the piece I took I looked at the rest of the ribeye and noticed it was not done medium but medium well to mostly well done. Jazzy came to check on us and I pointed it out to her. She quickly agreed and said yes it was not cooked like we ordered and quickly went to get a manager to let them know. A friendly looking gentleman in a pink and green Hawaiian shirt named Matthew came over and spoke to us. He too agreed it was not cooked correctly and asked us if we wanted another one. We almost said no but decided since we were only 10 minutes away from the concert we could be a little late leaving and so said yes to having them redo the steak. Mathew took the steak away and came back to let us know it was being redone and that he was going to comp our drinks for us. We said thank you and continued eating the appetizer and the asparagus. Jazzy came over to apologize to us and also told us Matthew was going to comp our drinks. The steak came out after a few minutes and it was cooked medium to medium rare but it was fine. Matthew came over right away to check to see if we were satisfied and we were and told us he was going to take care of our drinks, the steak, and gave us another order of asparagus since we had pretty much finished the first order waiting for the new steak. We told him he didn't need to do all of that but he insisted. Jazzy came over again and checked to make sure we were satisfied and confirmed what Matthew said about taking care of the steak and drinks for us. The steak we had was easily at least a 50 to 60 dollar steak and he was going to comp us for it. It was getting late for us to make it to the concert so we were only able to have a few bites of the steak. We called Jazzy over for the check and boxes for the meal and she came over with the check already prepared. To our surprise Matthew comped our entire meal and we were not charged for anything. We were very appreciative and decided to give Jazzy a hefty tip for her attentiveness and hard work for us. In these times of inflation and soaring prices, it's good to see that a business is not afraid or focused on the money and do what's in the best interest of the customer and of their reputation. We had brunch today, Saturday 16, 2023. We sat down at 1:30 and left at 2:20pm. Our service was poor. The server took the same drink order 4 time, didn't remember placing an order of "calamari" fish sticks (LOL-seriously) My wife's $21 salad was drenched in dressing with a side of dressing after requesting the dressing on the side. Her side of French fries, were cold. My eggs Benedict, looked appetizing but was cold, as well... Our server seems a little off, as every other table around us noticed. To add further insult, we watched you "bar tender" poor a watered down pitcher of "Bloody Mary" in to my serving glass and then we watch them pour the leftover Bloody Mary pitcher back into Bloody Mary Mix bottles... $14 for a small drink, should get you a fresh drink and fair shot... Everything was marginalized except our busgirl that had to come to clean up a glass of champagne that overflowed by our server (he didn't offer to clean up or anything-just walked away) a Shit$$y $100 lunch included a $10.98 tip that we shouldn't have tipped....I will never go again, obviously poor management all the way down except the busgirl....Save your money, the food is not as they claim either, LOL frozen Calamari fish sticks....Get out of the restaurant business read more

Really bad experience. A month ago we called on Saturday morning asking if we could reserve for 11 am. The woman on the phone said absolutely. We arrive at 11, and they tell us oh sorry, we can't take you until 11:30. At least they give us complimentary drinks while we waited. Also there was no waiting area at all! There were probably 15 people awkwardly crammed into the front of the restaurant and we were all laughing about how weird it was. We couldn't wait outside because 1. It was a 110 degree day and 2. There was a horrid stench coming from the garbage bins. They don't seat us until 11:45. We are not even approached by a waitress until 12:05. At which point we find a spider in one of our silverware napkins. Teehee. We asked for water and ordered juice, and they must have completely forgotten about it. They don't take our order until 12:30 at which we finally requested water and our juice again. 45 minutes after we got seated. So we literally were just sitting without water waiting for our drinks for 45 minutes. When the food came, they delivered one of our group's meals Huevos Rancheros with cheese. She ordered with NO cheese, something she specifically asked to not have because of an allergy. They returned with a new meal, and it was messed up AGAIN. They had delivered it with no cheese, and NO EGGS? So they had to remake it a third time. The food itself was extremely average. Not worth the price. We all ordered different things and none of us were impressed. We were holding out hope for the butter cake but even that was disappointing. At the end of our meal, we asked for some form of discount for everything that happened. The waitress Monique, who had replaced the previous waiter because her shift had ended, was extremely nice and said she would take care of it. That's why I gave 2 stars. But then, the manager came over extremely abrasively and said she would only remove the huevos rancheros from the meal, because we "didn't have a reservation." Oh but calling the morning of and then saying "we'll put you down for 11" isn't a reservation? Ok. They gave us a $10 gift card for our troubles, which they WOULDNT let us apply to our bill, lol. Two of us popped in to the Rocklin location last minute on a Friday around 5:30pm. Got seated right away. Happy hour til 6pm so we made that!!! Ordered the salmon sandwich with fries, two street tacos, a full size garden salad, a mocktail and an old fashion. Total was $52 before tip which was pretty dang good for the amount of food we received. Everything was delicious! It's rare to get good food, good service and good prices. Two of us had lunch at the newly opened Bennett's in Rocklin, on Lonetree Blvd, mid week. Let's start with the good, the service. The service was great; prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and worth more than your usual tip. Ambiance at first impression was very good, dark earth tones, stone work, expert lighting, television sports playing above the bar. The bar seems to be the center of attention. However, the ambiance was soon spoiled by several flies landing on us and our food. This is a problem. We must have looked crazy waving our hands around, shooing the flies away. Fix this. Could the food elevate the experience? Sorry to say that it didn't. One of us had the chicken enchiladas. Very hot plate and luke warm enchiladas. The flavors were very good but not heated all the way through. Just microwaved and sauced? Perhaps. And the other of us had the beef and bacon taco salad bowl. Dry and drier beef and bacon bits over lettuce etc in a glass bowl. Shooing the flies landing on the salad didn't elevate the experience. Three stars is generous. Without the excellent service this would have been a one star review at best. read more

I asked for a modification on a hamburger which ended up wrong, they tried to correct it which took the entire time the others at my table ate, then they charged me extra for the modification. We have been to this restaurant 3 or 4 times and never had a good experience. Last night we went, put our name in and waited over 30 minutes. Then a couple who clearly had no reservation acknowledge the manager, seemed they knew each other. The manager then right in front of us seated this couple while we are waiting and can witness the entire thing! I approached the manager after he seated this couple and he was very condescending and unapologetic. We won't go back!! No stars from me!!!! read more

Super disappointed, wanted to like this place so badly! Went for lunch a few weeks ago and the burger just ok. The meat itself didn't seem to be seasoned or taste like much. Tried it again for dinner due to good reviews. Got brick chicken and the ribs and fried chicken plates. The brick chicken had zero flavoring, the mashed potatoes hardly had flavor, the ribs had so much sauce on it we were scraping it off, the fried chicken had the most flavor (still not much) but was very dry and we didn't eat. The best thing was the waffle fries, everything else was so incredibly bland. Service was also not good from the start. What a bummer. read more

My partner and I had dinner here last night and we left a very mixed feelings about our evening. We only had to wait about five minutes for a table. The interior is absolutely beautiful. You would never know that. It used to be a Chevy's. We were greeted by our server in your our beverage order. When she returned she told us the specials of the night. I was excited that the prime rib was one of the specials. I ordered the prime rib with the chicken tortilla soup. My partner ordered the salmon with a side, Caesar salad. We also ordered a side of brussels sprouts. The soup and salad came out within minutes. The soup was wonderful. I had a lot of chicken and had a very rich broth. I could've had two bowls of it. It was so good. My partners, Caesar salad was really not a Caesar salad. He took one bite and said "yuck"! The salad consisted. I have Romain lettuce with four cornbread croutons, and topped with a vinaigrette dressing. It was not a Caesar salad like anyone would think. The sad part is the vinegar rat dressing had absolutely no flavor. It was like eating lettuce in water. I ended up giving my partner my soup and I tried to eat the salad and again I can't eat it. It was so bland and tasteless. We told our server that we were extremely disappointed in the salad as she could see that there is only a few bites taken from it, and she removed it from the table. Our meals came, and the first thing my partner said to the young man who delivered our meals, was how dry the salmon looked. He just smiled and walked off. My prime rib was very flavorful, yet a bit tough, but it was extremely flavorful. The mashed potatoes were great. my partners salmon was extremely overcooked and dry. He ate about four bites and set aside. The brussels sprouts were very good. Another server asked about the dinner we had said everything was fine yet. Salmon was a little over cooked. I don't know if she misunderstood or what, but she just said OK and walked off. We were asked about ordering dessert, but declined because my partner just want to leave. Since it was his birthday, I really want to get a dessert, but he declined. Overall, I would probably return, but my partner said he would never go back. With that said, he also commented on the corned beef dinner, if they're offering for Saint Patrick's day, but he saw advertised along with their weekend brunch. So who knows I may be able to get them back to try Bennett's again. read more
