I tried out the pepperoni pizza at Bennie's Pizza Pub today and it was excellent! They give you a very large slice of pizza. The pizza crust was a soft crust and the cheese and pizza sauce has a good flavor. It was priced a little high for one slice, but it was well worth it. Go give Bennie's a try! read more

We were so pleased with our lunch yesterday. I had family in from out of town and one of them (who has gluten-free and no-onion medical dietary restrictions) got hungry with little warning while we were walking on Main Street in Belleville. Being Monday, many places were closed and a pizza place was not first on my mind with her restrictions. I thought of maybe having to drive somewhere with salads, but she was hungry enough to pop into Bennie's and ask. To her amazement - while most pizza places that even think to offer GF options will only offer one gluten-free crust, Bennie's offered *three* GF crust options and was happy to work with her dietary restrictions. For those of you unaware, most GF crusts are awful at best, and most pizza places purchase them from a 3rd party vendor. In thanking Bennie's for their great options we learned they tested 7 different kinds before they hit on their own recipes for a really good GF crust, which my sister loved (she had the broccoli-based one). The rest of us - none of us with dietary restrictions - loved our other pizzas too. Plus, they did indeed have salads should it have come to that with her allergies. We were so touched to find a place not only with good food but genuine care and concern for customers with dietary restrictions. Thank you, Bennie's! We'll be back! read more

One of our new favorite places to stop for a slice of pizza. They don't have a lot of different pizzas choices if you just want to pop in for a quick slice, but I am sure that's so the quality doesn't suffer from sitting under the warmers too long. They always have the meat lovers ready which makes my husband happy. The ranch and garlic sauce are good for dipping the leftover chewy crust. We will be back soon. read more

Not bad. Pizza by the slice. We're here on a week night for dinner so only three choices. They made more for us so it worked out. One of our kids needs gluten free (which is why we cane here) but they're on back order. So that was disappointing. Great atmosphere, super nice employees very clean. The slice of Hawaiian hog was one of the best tasting pizza i ever had. So why not 4 or 5 stars? Because I, along with 6 other people from a workshop, arrived there 15 minutes after they opened and all our slices, 3 different varieties, we're barely above room temperature. Great place! Low key atmosphere, good locations and super friendly staff. Good small selection of tap brew and pizza is fantastic (based off the single sampling of Hawaiian Hog). Definitely will return. If I have to add some negativity (which I don't) perhaps a larger offering of local brews in the fridge. Check this place out! Ordered a large pepperoni, sausage, black olives, and mushrooms for lunch. I don't believe I have ever had a pizza delivered to my table as fast as they did. Crust was light fluffy and properly cooked. Flavor has to rate with some of the best pizza in the area. Well worth a look for lunch and dinner. This is my first visit to Benny's and it's a new establishment in the Belleville area. Location is great and I love the idea. When you first walk in the door you come up on a bar area that's small but well stocked. The place is a little confusing and confuddled. There's no signage to tell you what to do or where to go and you seem a little lost when you first walk in. I don't know how many times I heard the individuals working there ask people when they walked in if this was their first time, because of the confused look on their faces. If you have to ask this of your customers, then something is wrong. You have to go to the rear of the restaurant and go through a backwards line to order your food, which is fine if you know that's what you're supposed to do. All I'm saying is put a sign up that says "order here" and it will eliminate a huge amount of problems and confusion. As for the food, the pizza is good. It's not where I would go if I want a great slice of pie but it's perfect if you want a quick lunch at a decent price. They have pre-made pizzas that you can purchase by the slice, or if you wish, they'll make one especially for you at your request. My review is based strictly on the food and it is a good slice of pizza, but that's all it is. So if you're in the mood for a quick lunch and a decent bite, Benny's serves up a decent slice. If you're looking for an exceptional slice of pizza or a "gourmet" Pizza, you should probably visit somewhere else. I will certainly go back if I'm in the mood for pizza for lunch or maybe a beer and a slice. They are new, so I'm sure there are some Kinks to work out still and I hope they continue to work on their establishment because we love having them in downtown Belleville. read more

I'm sorry I must give Bennie's a 2 Star review, but he earned it.  The low review is not because of the quality of the food which would be a 4 Star or the great service I received that night, which would be 5 Stars.  No, the low score is because I was over charged by $18.23. I understand it was probably only a mistake, but when I contacted Bennie's about the issue nothing was done to fix the issue.  That left me only one option and that was to spend 30 minutes of my time disputing the charge with my debit card company.  I know he is a busy man and maybe he hasn't got around to it yet, not my problem.  Hopefully someday I will get over my bitterness and give them another try. read more

Ordered a carry out Pepperoni pizza. Didn't realize I could order up to three toppings for the same price. This is my bad but since I ordered only one you think the pepperoni would be plentiful. It was marginal at best. Also I found the sauce to be bland. IMO read more
