Benny's Bagels is the worst bagel cafe I have been to. The service is subpar. The owner acts like a tyrant to his employees. The inside is is a mess and cluttered with cases of drinks that shouldn't be in the seating area. The selection of food choices is good but the bagels are crap. They aren't chewy like a bagel should, the eggs are huge and too big for a bagel sandwich, the cream cheese is chalky and very bitter. They all still wear masks which makes it uncomfortable place to enter. The staff is not friendly. My order has been screwed up week after week and I am not sure if the owner just doesn't like me because I'm transgender or for any other reason. I will not go back. If you want great bagels go to Bagel Fresh Deli in The Colony or Legacy Bagels in Prosper those are head and shoulders better than Benny's. read more

The staff is friendly and it's a clean, quaint little place. I like the pecan coffee and pour it over ice. I saw a few negative comments about wait time... I really want to like this place but often my to-go orders are wrong. Today I picked up an order and the Asiago cheese beagle on my healthy riser was completely burned. I can't believe they would package that up for a customer. I drove back up to the store and showed them the sandwich. They quickly remade my healthy riser however the second time it only had egg and onions so wrong again. Very frustrated with this place and not sure I will be eating here again. Just know if you get a to-go order from Benny's Bagels there is a good chance something in your order will be wrong. read more

Their bagels were soft and fresh. Wish there were more flavors. They had cranberry, blueberry, Asiago, everything, sesame, cinnamon raisin, and maybe 2-3 others? Sized just right and on the more dense side, it was just right for our whole family, even when we ate just half of one. Cream cheese is whipped high and light; savory and sweet varieties are available, although they were out of 3 choices we would've purchased. We did pick up the strawberry one and the kids loved it. Ordered up a regular coffee (vanilla nut) and my husband loved it. Ordered the mocha latte myself and was very pleased. Last but certainly not least the smoothies were excellent! I was surprised because I never like how sweet they are - kids LOVED them and the (2) blueberry banana ones we ordered were gone very quickly. The chunks of fresh banana were addicting. We have been going to Benny's for 18 years now on a regular basis. Ownership has changed several times, but the food and service has stayed consistent through the years. The Healthy Riser and Early Riser are the best breakfast bagel sandwiches I've ever had! The bagel flavors and cream cheeses are great as well...my kids always go for cinnamon raisin bagels with strawberry cream cheese. Great selection of craft coffees and smoothies as well as Coke products and a refrigerator full of other fruit juices. I haven't tried them for lunch, but I'm sure they'd surpass expectations there as well. read more

Solid four stars. I think I come here once a year... The last time I came, I had been craving a true New York bagel. The special on the board at the time was the Chicken Cordon Bagel Sandwich. When I walked in today and saw the exact same thing on the board again as the special, I chuckled. I have mixed feelings about this place. The bagel is chewy, flavorful, and semi-reminiscent of that NYC style. Definitely a great attempt and deserves repeated visits. The people are nice and when you register with your phone number, they give you freebies! What's not to like? My not-so-great feelings towards this place is the delivery of the product. I ordered the Chicken Cordon again (almost like my anniversary order heh) and the sandwich was just falling apart. The sad lettuce leaves and tomato slice seemingly drenched my sandwich, leaving some wet paper wrappings in its wake. So-so flavors overall. I think I would enjoy the breakfast choices a lot more and I'm looking forward to coming back (a free bagel and cream cheese to redeem next time!). Great, locally owned bagel shop that provides both bagels by the dozen, and little bagel breakfast sandwiches. The owner and his wife were both nice when I went and I kind of wished I'd had the time to just sit and hang out and drink coffee. It's quiet and tucked into the shopping center that the 7-11 with Popeye's inside and a Run On! I liked my bagel sandwich a lot, but fair warning it was SCORCHING hot. As in, I lost a layer of skin in my mouth because I wanted to eat it so badly. Ha! Bagels are okay, It took 32 minutes for me to get three bagels with cream cheese and two bacon egg and cheese.

The two stars are for the young kid at the counter. Very professional and friendly young man. They had two people at the register, 5 people preparing food and one manager and it still took almost 20 minutes to get what I can only assume was a frozen hash brown patty and an INCREDIBLY salty everything bagel - not toasted as advertised - with partially cooked "hickory smoked bacon". I took it to go so was unaware of the flavor until I was comfy on my couch. I really wanted to like this place. I really did. I love supporting local. But I seriously have a very strong aftertaste layer of SALT in my mouth. No other flavor. Sorry guys, won't be back! read more

The EVERYTHING BAGEL was nicely textured and the salmon was smoky. I only wish for more tomatoes to add some acidity to the bagel. VANILLA CHAI This chai was so sweet! I wouldn't get it again. I'm from Jersey and lived on real NY/NJ bagels. These are not even close. I ordered egg & cheddar on plain. Eggs were cooked in the microwave...THE MICROWAVE!!!! What the..?? The cheddar was cheese shreds, not a slice. And it was mixed in to the eggs before cooking...I mean microwaving.... rather than just on top. The best part of an egg breakfast sandwich is the glob of melted cheese in the center hole. That was nonexistent on this. I also did not receive one of the bagels I ordered (to go) and didn't realize until I got home, 30 minutes away. Certainly not worth the drive. This place does not advertise itself as a New York bagel shop, and rightfully so because these bagels are nothing like what a traditional NY/NJ bagel shop would do. They still get 5 stars for being clean, friendly and serving a fresh, quality product. Bagels are fresh and tasty, but certainly some things a NY'er isn't used to: - bagels are flatter than what a traditional bagel should be; - everything bagel had sunflower seeds and anise, but no onion or garlic; - flavored bagels only have seasoning on the bottom layer, not the top; - they lack some of the most-traditional types of bagels: salt, whole wheat everything, egg; - ordering process is slow - ordering three bagels should not require the taking notes, making payment first then waiting for them to put it in a bag. I can only imagine how long it would take to order a dozen. Overall, great if you like quick bagels or want a sandwich. read more

We came here on Saturday morning around 9.30am, there were some patrons but not crowded. We had half a dozen bagels to-go. We had cinnamon raisin, chocolate chips, everything, nyc, cranberries and blueberries bagel. My son couldn't wait to have them in car, so we had cinnamon raisin and chocolate chip bagel. The cinnamon raisin was very tasty, I love the balance between the cinnamon and raisin. The chocolate chip bagel was fresh out from the oven, it was warm- nothing can beat a warm bagel, however the amount of chocolate chips is very very little that the couldn't even taste the chocolate favor at all, That made me a little sad! I would give it a 4 1/2 stars but there's no such option. We haven't tried the rest of the bagels yet, I will update my review once I try them all. Clean environment and friendly staffs. He is so passionate about his wife's business. He explained how the bagels are made fresh every day. They don't throw the old ones but they donate them. First timer here! Solid bagel shop. I got the Asiago with jalapeño spread and it was delicious. Just the right amount of cream cheese to bagel ratio. Man child got a plain with plain (boring) and loved it. He said it's definitely an authentic type of NYC bagel, so I'll take his word. The guy behind the counter was extremely friendly and very nice and didn't rush me or make me feel bad for taking forever to decide (there was no line, otherwise I would have moved...promise!) and two bagels were $5.40.
