Biscuits & Gravy with Home Fries

We really enjoyed this place. Our waiter was fantastic at his job. He was running around filling coffeee taking orders cleaning tables. Plus he was super nice. The biscuit with sausage gravy was what I have been craving for a long time. Hit the spot!! Cheesy grits were and the BLT were good, nothing special. Now the hash browns, which our server said we definitely have to try, were the best I've ever had. I'm normally not a fan of the smashed down ones because they normally don't cook them properly. These were perfect. We will be back to try more menu items. Mostly because our waiter was so amazing.

Easy parking in the lot. Good breakfast place with very friendly staff. coffee was pretty good too and food was on par with diner food. mini muffins at the table are a nice touch. interesting retro ambiance although a little grimey

The hamburger was good but the tuna melt was not good. It tasted spoiled. The place was busy - service was good for how busy they were. Overall, an okay experience.

Bennys is a very cute Luncheonette/Diner. Serving breakfast all day and sandwiches. Portions are very large!! The best part is the wait staff who are the most friendliest ladies!! We went there with my granddaughter and they cooed all over her. Small and clean, counter seating available. Lots of parking.

Large skinless hotdog had a kielbasa type flavor that deserved a roll fit for a sausage. I had to eat it more like an open faced sandwich. The homemade chili deserved it's own bowl. Delicious. Served with a boatload of fries and cost almost $7 bucks. Friendly luncheonette with their own ice cream/ bakery next-door.

The event involved dozens of kids and parents, and the food held up incredibly well for a large crowd. The ice cream was excellent: very flavorful, rich without being too heavy, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The Hong Kong milk tea was also a big hit, and the croffles were fantastic. Crispy, buttery, fresh, and just really well executed. You could immediately tell there was real attention to quality across the menu. We were also impressed by the logistics and presentation. Delivery was right on time, everything was packaged carefully with ice cream kept on dry ice, and the setup made serving a large group easy and stress-free. Nothing arrived melted or messy, which is no small feat for a big party. Overall, the quality for the price was excellent. Joy made a great recommendation, and after trying everything ourselves, we'd gladly order for a future gathering or party, or also visit the store to grab a few items if we pass by.

I tried a bit of the éclair and we both agreed that it was the star of the show. I normally am not a big éclair person but this one was so chocolatey and rich. It was filled with this creamy, fresh chocolate filling. I strongly dislike the store bought cream filling that they are usually piped with. We sat at one of the little tables on the sidewalk outside since the weather was nice. I will be back if I am in the area and in the mood for a sweet treat!

Cross contamination is no issue for me, as I informed them, but I need to know if there are nuts actually inside as an ingredient. One person said only one item on their dessert menu contained nuts, and when I mentioned that many contained hazelnut they seemed surprised to learn that hazelnut is in fact a tree nut. Lo and behold, the chocolate dacquoise inside the Spring dessert contained nuts and I got an anaphylactic reaction as a result and needed to take my EpiPen. The bite I had was very yummy but almost took me out so I'll still keep two stars for the baking itself. However, staff NEEDS to know what contains very common and deadly allergens.

That my friends is what I'm coining the Serious Sanity Scale. Serious Sanity Scale in a nutshell. The ideal overachievers of folks take themselves seriously and life seriously. However, they don't take themselves or life too seriously. This is a key difference, one to think about, I don't have the time to define it. I care about it enough to present but not to describe. Then there are others, who don't take themselves or life seriously enough. A crowd that wouldn't even know they were within a crowd of similar individuals. There are some that strive or pretend to be like this, but this style of living is innate, if you ask me. And it is typically temporary, like the tubbyness of my tummy. Or so I try to convince myself. It's been years. When will it disappear. Where are my abs. Underneath? Or uncapturable. Stop it tubby nobody cares about the never ending lint in your bustling belly button. Anyways, back to cookies. I kuddled up with the Keebler leprechaun for 4 straight semesters abroad in Northern Ireland. We basically lived at Sainsbury's grocery. He still calls me hear and there, good guy, the reason I'm known as El Grande Fudge Lover. I was the first man to call Amos, famous. Nutter Butter was my nickname in HS. I dated Mrs. Fields until I tasted her overly sugary mess of a cookie. My pet mule paco's favorite toy is my life size Little Debby doll... anyways. Hands Down Cookies is hands down a great addition to Bergen County. Sweets make me sweat. They get me antsy. Butterflies in the tummy. Bite the lip energy. Have confirmed this over multiple tastes, tried and true. They have a different few everytime I end up going. Some duds but a lot of studs, such as the apple crumb punk in the image I blessed you with. I hope they get a ton of business but I'm usually the only one in there. I do go at odd hours so maybe I'm unaware of their popularity. What am I doing with my life. Who am I? What will I become... all things I'll focus on at another time.
