    Breakfast Sandwich on bagel

I love Benny's Luncheonette. I'd stop there for a breakfast sandwich on a bagel before visiting my aunt at a nearby nursing home. It's kind of a classic NJ diner experience. The service is friendly and very attentive. You definitely feel the caring of a family-owned restaurant.

We really enjoyed this place. Our waiter was fantastic at his job. He was running around filling coffeee taking orders cleaning tables. Plus he was super nice. The biscuit with sausage gravy was what I have been craving for a long time. Hit the spot!! Cheesy grits were and the BLT were good, nothing special. Now the hash browns, which our server said we definitely have to try, were the best I've ever had. I'm normally not a fan of the smashed down ones because they normally don't cook them properly. These were perfect. We will be back to try more menu items. Mostly because our waiter was so amazing.

The hamburger was good but the tuna melt was not good. It tasted spoiled. The place was busy - service was good for how busy they were. Overall, an okay experience.

Bennys is a very cute Luncheonette/Diner. Serving breakfast all day and sandwiches. Portions are very large!! The best part is the wait staff who are the most friendliest ladies!! We went there with my granddaughter and they cooed all over her. Small and clean, counter seating available. Lots of parking.

(Reservations are not that easy to make last minute.) The restaurant is big and open but always busy. Kids get wax craft sticks to play with and bend into cool shapes, which I find very unique and cool. I feel like there is a difference between a diner and a true brunch place. A diner, of which there are numerous in New Jersey, is a establishment that churns out inexpensive, and potentially excellent, but very standard breakfast food - omelettes, pancakes, benedicts and the like. A true brunch place, on the other hand, offers things like lemon ricotta pancakes, cacio e pepe scrambles, mushroom thyme omelettes and shakshuka. Willow & Whisk is that kind of brunch place, and which is rare in New Jersey. The food options are varied, very tasty, and with good portion sizes. I love the shakshuka and the mushroom thyme omelette. Oh gosh, when is our next reservation again?

I asked if I could do 2% milk with my latte at 8am with only 1 other table in the restaurant. Waitress told me it's whole or skim. I asked if she could mix them, half and half. She said it takes too long for the bartenders... I said "there's 2 people here, mind if you make an exception?" To which she followed up with "no, it's a rule." Okay fine... I'll settle for my $7 latte I guess. Following that, I ordered the mushroom thyme omelette, the second bite I took had a full on hard stick from the thyme I almost choked on (not chewy, hard - see pictures). I decided to let it slide, these things happen with fresh herbs. 2 more bites in, another massive stem stick jabbed me. If I had given my daughter either of those bites, it could have been scary. I sent it back. I love their coffee, and the shukshukka (botching the spelling). But for how much you pay, their service is inconsistent and these errors are painful (literally). I'll likely come back for the coffee and vibes but won't be bending over backwards to do brunch here.

This place is popping, and for good reason. The servers are quite attentive and always present so it's not hard to flag someone down if you need something. The food is also really good - i recommend the k-chicken & waffles and the lemon ricotta pancakes w blueberry compote. They also have lots of fun drinks (both coffee/tea-based and fruity refreshers). We had several servers handling our order. To start, I had a hot tea with honey. The honey was an interesting consistency and was not as thick as expected. Seemed to be a little watery but the taste was good when mixed in my tea. For appetizer, we split the Crispy Ddukbokki which were sweet & spicy crispy rice cakes with a side of a soft boiled egg, topped with everything seasoning. We both really enjoyed the flavor of these rice cakes. For my main course, I had the Rainbow Salad with grilled chicken. The portion was very good and all of the veggies in the salad were super fresh. The presentation was very pretty. Parking can be a bit tricky but luckily we were able to find parking on one of the side streets. Overall a cute little breakfast/brunch place in the Glen Rock downtown. It does get very busy on weekends so reservations are a must.

Solid brunch spot with happy vibes…read more Some friends and I came for brunch, and one of our gluten-free friends suggested this spot because it's such a vegan/vegetarian/GF-friendly spot. The menu is deep and it's easy to get lost in the pages of choices. At a friend's recommendation, I tried the short rib hash. It's a bed of crispy tater tots, blanketed with tender short ribs, two eggs (prepared however you'd like), and a drizzle of three different sauces: hollandaise, sriracha aioli, and a cheese sauce. This was rich and decadent and the first few bites were fantastic. As you can imagine, the underlying tater tots got a little soggy towards the end and all the sauces felt a tad rich to truly finish the whole thing. Service was all right, though it was interesting how order deliveries were divvied up. We had a main server who took care of most of our needs, but several others who dropped by to deliver drinks and still another to bus tables. In the mix, some of our drink orders got mixed up and only the people in our party who explicitly asked for waters got them. Inside, the space is brightly lit and attractive. There's a good amount of seating, but on a Sunday lunch hour there was a small wait so it might be worth calling ahead if you're expecting to arrive during a heavy mealtime or coming with a large party. Bite is located in a larger complex with plenty of parking, but since there are so many other eateries and cafes, things can get a little tight around weekend lunch or dinner hours.

For over the past two decades, these chefs have elevated traditional ingredients and techniques to new heights. We've passed this restaurant many times on a busy River Road in Fair Lawn and decided to stop in. Upon entering this warm and cozy interior without a reservation as first-timers, my partner and I managed to locate a table outside on this summer-like day. Juany's Cafe is a cozy, family-run establishment making a great impression as a place for brunch on locals and visitors. The owner is Peruvian, and the Mexican cook began in the kitchens of his homeland, known for its authentic Latin-inspired cuisine. We decided on the Latin bowl with marinated steak accompanied by black beans, sautéed veggies, avocado, and sweet plantains & Grilled Chicken Burritos with Sweet Potato Fries. Complimentary fruit salad started our meal. All ingredients were fresh, and the seasonings were unique with their bold flavors. There was a wait time for food as everything was homemade, made to order, and well presented. The prices were more than reasonable considering the quality of the food. Our server was friendly and accommodating. The service was a bit slow due to a large party group. Brunch is the norm here, but we can't wait to try it out for dinner.
