It's been about 2 weeks since her service and she's doing good. We dropped her off, filled out a form and when she was ready we got the call and took the other dogs to go pick her up. I wanted the other dogs to meet the groomer and the facility. We have 2 small dogs and 2 big dogs. I think it went great. We will be taking the other fur Babies soon for their service. We have a chihuahua and a Australian cattle dog who need regular nail trims and anal gland expression like most dogs. We've tried a couple of different groomers in Upland and Rancho and prefer Benos to them all. Our dogs have black nails which can be difficult to work with, but they always come home with nice short nails and no signs of styptic powder being applied (indicating their quicks were nicked). I was originally happy with my pups cut, she has anxiety so is very shy at the groomers but I thought she did relatively well and was going to keep bringing her back here. It wasn't until on the way home and I noticed her behavior was so abnormal, she was guarding her behind and wouldn't let anyone stand behind her and constantly licking herself and hiding her tail between her legs and then I noticed blood on her private parts and my pup is spayed and has no uterus to have a period to begin with so I can only imagine if she was mounted or knicked there during grooming but I wasn't told anything had happened and even when I tried to call I wasn't coming off aggressive or accusatory. Mistakes will happen or dogs will be dogs, but before I could even clarify what dog was mine whomever was on the phone denied any accountability for my concern. I can't help but be angry now because my baby is already a rescue who's been through a lot and with seeing these medically concerning reviews I can't help but worry :( read more

Completely unacceptable. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT THEM. Exactly 2 weeks ago I dropped off my Cocker Spaniel for a regular grooming and when he was picked up we knew something was wrong by the way he kept leaning his head to the right and shaking his head. He cried anytime we tried to touch his right ear. When we got home he continued to stay away from anyone who tried touching his ear so we assumed he got nipped during the grooming but did not think it was anything too serious. After a week we became more worried because his behavior continued and we made the mistake of waiting a couple more days to schedule an appointment with his doctor. When he went to his doctor's appointment we found out that the dummies messed up his ear BAD. Used rubber bands to hold up his ears during the grooming and it was so small and tight that it cut his ear and not only did it cut him but the rubber band stayed in the wound and became infected so he needed surgery. DO NOT GIVE THIS "BUSINESS" YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. They mistreated our dog & DID NOT tell us about the injury but made sure to take our money. read more

I am SO disappointed with our experience with Benosdog. We dropped off our dog for a regular bath so he would be ready for Christmas pictures last week, first we noticed his dew claw was cut and bleeding. We let it slide because dogs are picky with their feet so we understand the struggle with that. The next day our dog was lethargic, not eating, not wanting to walk. Of course we panicked and took him to the vet. We assumed he caught something from the groomer that made him sick so we closely monitored him. By the 4th day post bath our dog was feeling better BUT we noticed he had scabs all over his back, neck, and head. We went back to the vet who told us the shampoo could have had something wrong with it or he could have been overly aggressively brushed and scrubbed. I've since had to reschedule our family photos because our dog has been sick, shedding more than he should be, and now the scabs are flaking off into excessive dandruff. I love supporting small businesses in our community but this is completely unacceptable. Do not bring your dog here. read more

THE SCOOP: If you're searching for a place that takes extra special care and attention with your fur baby's bathtime, then your search is over. Very kind and friendly staff, great attention to detail, open availability and awesome $$ rates at this local gem! ^_^ THE DEETS: When I moved to Ontario a little over a year ago, I searched relentlessly for a new groomer for my fur baby. I needed somewhere that could handle my high-energy pup while addressing my grooming concerns at a price point that wouldn't make me go bankrupt. I also needed somewhere that could accommodate my work schedule --someplace that could take my girl after 3pm. I had finally settled on a great little place in Upland, but it was nearly 30min from my home and they continuously struggled to accommodate my schedule. When I came across Benos online, I was somewhat skeptical at first. I called and left a message and was shocked to get a response within an hour (on a day that they were closed! O_O) I had grown accustomed to leaving multiple voicemail messages with other groomers and waiting days to hear back, so it was a refreshing surprise. Even better, the woman I spoke with was eager to help me book an appointment and was super friendly and upbeat --again, another anomaly! The various groomers that I had spoken with (prior to Benos) had been reluctant, snooty and unaccommodating... (I still can't figure out why it's SO hard to get a same day --or even NEXT day-- appointment for after 3pm on a week day. Why you would have your dog groomers shop open until 6PM, but then STOP grooming dogs at 1pm is BEYOND me! SMH) ANYWAY... as intrigued as I was, I had no idea what to expect. However, as soon as I walked through the door of this charming and clean little store front, I was COMPLETELY at ease. The people here are extremely friendly, welcoming my bouncy, bubbly (and, frankly, overly excited) fur-baby with only smiles and sweetness --I could sense right away that the staff members were dog lovers with a genuine flair for customer service. Just 30 minutes later, I was walking my freshly bathed, sweet-smelling pooch to my car --and the price for her little spa day was even lower than my last groomers! What a STEAL! This place has bad communication/ service I called to take take my dog to get a hair cut but the guy was being lazy once I told him what type of dog he said that those dogs don't recommend cutting hair but I've tools. His to other pet grooms & they cut his hair. I had convinced him but then told me to send him a pic of my dog so he could get an idea of how much hair needs to be removed, I sent him one & never responded back. I messaged him 3x's didn't hear back after 2 days I messaged him once more responds right away with excuse saying that he got really sick & had to go to hospital. I've only been to them three or four times now, but the owner is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, as is the rest of the staff that I've spoken to, and most importantly, my dog gets excited whenever I take him. I think this place does an amazing job at grooming my baby boy. They take very good care of him while he's in their care and he always comes back looking and smelling very fresh. They are very affordable as well. I never do anything more than just a bath, haircut, teeth brush and nail trim and I usually pay $50-$60ish. This spot is also very close to me, about 10-15 minutes away. The reason I had to give the above rating is because I had scheduled an appointment to bring my dog in this morning. I arrived about 10 minutes early when I saw they still had the "We are closed" sign on the door. I also noticed another woman and her dog waiting out front, so I decided to wait in my car until opening time. Opening time comes, still no one inside. 5 minutes pass, so I decide to call just to see if maybe they didn't realize we were outside (even thought that shouldn't matter, they should be open when it says they're open). No one answers my phone call. I wait 5 more minutes and call again...no one answers. At this time it's about 15 minutes passed opening time, and I am starting to feel frustrated as I had plans to drop off my dog then run some errands before work. I start looking for other groomers, which luckily I was able to schedule a same-day appointment with another groomer, thank goodness, you should see my dog. After about 30 minutes, no one had come to open so myself and the other lady waiting decided to leave. One of my biggest pet-peeves is waiting, especially when appointment is set, but not showing up to open your own shop is extremely unprofessional. I really hope that there was pressing reason for the no-show, but I don't think I will be returning to this groomer. read more

I walked in very anxious and a little nervous, I am very attached to my fur baby, he was rescued by my fiance from a homeless man who could not take care of him. So with that being said i am also very over protective of him. I was greeted in a very loving way for my baby, i wanted to stay with him but she made me feel very comfortable and assured me that he was in good hands. This is the pet grooming business I have been waiting for....perfect in every way. They are busy, but never rushed. They treat your pet like part of their family, and always have time to answer any questions. Appointments are set so your pet is not left there all day long, not to mention very competitive pricing. They will surprise you! My small poodle would not let me get near her nails, and I was so surprised to pick her up, finding her nails cut short and neat. How did you do that, Ivan? I've been going to This groomer for two years and for two years it was a headache, but normally they did an ok job so I went back. Every time we would go it would be some complaint about how the dogs were a lot of work, or we were ten minutes late, etc. It felt like we were getting scolded each time, not welcomed like a professional dog groomer would know better to do. This groomer is extremely LAZY and charges HIGH prices for nothing. They expect you to bring the dog practically groomed, trimmed and washed because they do not care to work on the dog to make it look good. They charge at least 30-40 more than local groomers but do not work for that extra fee. They completely shaved our giant schnauzers down without telling us and if you know the breed you know the dog is everything with their coat!! Please do yourself a favor and find a more respectful and trustworthy groomer who won't scam you out of your money. Ignore the pretty pictures they post to lure you in, it will be nothing but a headache and high fees to only end up not getting what you want. We spent 240.00 to literally have our dogs shaved down (unevenly I might add) a job I could have done in my own backyard. When I called the shop to talk to them because my husband picked them up, the owners nephew ,who is the most rude by the way (Ivan) hung up on me and refused to take my call only signifying they know they did something wrong. They lost my business and many of my friends who own giant schnauzers (we are part of a community). Good luck beno because keep doing your business like this and pretty soon people will stop going to you and find a place who values the hard earned money people spend there!
