Fabulous restaurant! Complimentary valet parking! We loved the decor, so cool! Great service and the food and drinks divine! I had the Halibut, moist, tender and flaky cooked to perfection with a double veg( which was a HUGE portion ) of garlicky green beans!! . We've been here 6 time so far and have enjoyed the majority of their offerings. The servers are courteous and prompt, the bar churns out drinks fairly quickly, and the delicious food comes out of the kitchen with perfect timing. I highly recommend the Pinconning Fondue. I knocked off one star because the deserts are way too small for the price. It's not often that I get to use the word "pretentious", but I feel it accurately describes the deserts. Keep up the good work guys, but please do something about the deserts. Is "pretentious" really the last thing you want customers thinking as they leave? I used it twice in one review. First time there on Saturday for a family birthday. The staff was welcoming and attentive, the atmosphere felt upscale and the food was really tasty. My son said that the brisket melted in his mouth. My mom and I shared a salad and meal and the kitchen had divided portions into separate plates for us. Portion sizes on dinners are generous! Free valet parking was hassle free. We had a great meal and the restaurant is gorgeously decorated. The fondu appetizer with the warm pretzels was very tasty, and I was surprised that I liked the spicy mustard over the cheese as I'm not typically a spicy mustard fan. It was more of a bar b que honey mustard, but don't get me wrong the cheese was good too. Our entrees were hot when deliver to our table, my filet was cooked perfectly (the zip sauce it great), the veggie panini was flavorful, and the kids Mac and Cheese was awesome (I love that they don't just serve Kraft Mac and Cheese). The Cooley Cobbler was our favorite of the desserts but the Hot Lava Cake was also very good. We will definitely be going back! This is a great hidden gem. read more

Very good food usually, however, if you get delivery, your portion sizes will be tiny. We just paid $85 for 2 entrees and a slice of cheesecake. They were only 2 bites of mashed potatoes in my order. As our first time to Benstein Grill, we were excited to see the transformation from the old bar. Not only is it completely beautiful inside, but the waitstaff is so nice. I accidentally spilled a glass of water onto a glass of wine and shattered the glass. The manager and 2 other servers came over and cleaned the table with a great attitude and smiles on their faces. I was embarrassed but they made me feel completely at ease and replaced the wine and a plate of French fries that got covered in glass without a single question. Finally made it out to check out this restaurant I have heard great things about. I am local to commerce twp and is great to see new restaurants open up in the area. Food-I ordered the chicken cordon blue which the portion size was very generous(enough to take home) and tasty. My wife ordered the union chicken which she raved about, also nice size portion. These come with mashed potatoes and vegetable of the day which were excellent. Menu selection included sandwiches, Steaks, chicken, pastas, seafood. I thought the price for food and drink were defiantly a great value compared to what other local restaurants charge in the Novi and Commerce area for the quality of food served. Loved the atmosphere! Will defiantly be back to try some different menu selections. read more

Went in for an early dinner tonight. We ordered a few of the half off app's off the happy hour menu. Cheese/pretzels and the Mac & Cheese bites (3 kids in total). The pretzels were really good but a fairly small portion for 4 people. I wouldn't get the Mac and Cheese bites again - lacking flavor and not hot (warm at best). I ordered the burger - delicious and cooked exactly to my specifications. It had a charred look so I was nervous (hate charred/burnt burgers) there was not a hint of burned flavor. My daughter ordered kids pasta (ate every bite). One son ordered the potato chip crusted chicken filets - very good. The other son (13) ordered the club sandwich. We will be back. We have been regulars celebrating big milestones with large groups to small intimate dinners here. The ambiance and convenient location are wonderful. The service has always been consistent. Attentive at the start...then terrible. Even with capacity at 20% it's a challenge to get an additional beverage, coffee refill or chance at a dessert. Last weekend our party ordered 5 salads, one club sandwich and I had the flatbread pizza appetizer which came out burnt to a crisp. Server put it down and stated wow that's burnt....she took it away and I got a new one 25 minutes later when everyone was done eating. We ordered more bar drinks but they never came. read more

This new restaurant in an area devoid of eateries is a welcome sight for restaurant goers. With a nice American style menu offering a variety of appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrees, all at a reasonable price, the restaurant can satisfy most customers. The Grille offers a nice bar with solid choices. Most impressive was the server and owner response to their extremely limited bourbon selection. After an explanation that the selection was set to improve soon, a heartfelt apology for not having it for us, Mike the co-owner sent an employee to buy a bottle that could be served that night. Down side......noise level. High ceilings, no sound buffers combined with a busy restaurant made it difficult to hear. read more

I have celiac, So i had the cuban sandwich with Gluten Free Bread. I also have a shell fish allergy, so it was a little tough finding something to eat, but what i did eat was great. Beautiful remodel of what it used to be by new owners. Has lots of potential! Food is decent. The brisket is sliced and not what you'd expect. My son had the salmon but thought it had too much glaze on it. Filet was cooked perfectly. Desserts are delicious and the Pinconning Fondue app is so good! The cola wings were ok but it's not a taste I like for wings so others may enjoy them more. I wish they would've done something with the ceiling though to buffer the noise level since it's difficult to carry on conversation with the sounds carrying from every corner. read more

Our first time at the restaurant this week was a great experience. We both got the tomato bisque soup - so good! He got the Cordon Bleu Chicken stack & really liked it. I got the filet mignon & thought it very good. I gave him my green beans because of the heavy garlic (sorry, not a fan of garlic!), but the whipped potatoes were fabulous, especially since they weren't the popular garlic mashed so many other restaurants serve. For THAT, I am most grateful! Desserts were amazing. We got creme brulee & a fresh berry crumble. Both were yummy. Service was outstanding. And it was nice to meet one of the owners who came to see how we liked everything & to chat a bit. Very nice man. We will certainly be back again. Soon!
