Frank also gave me lengthy and helpful reviews for new thermostats and installed it for me after I attempted to but while frank talked me through it on the phone we discovered the previous owner messed up the wiring when they took the nest off after selling the house. I called on a Friday afternoon because my ac was acting up. It wasn't completely down, but super sluggish. The tech stopped by on his way home after his last job that same day. He was going over things with my son & me. My son at least had a clue what he was talking about. He tried to "dumb it down" (nicely) for me, but would forget every so often. With all the problems our ac & furnace had (21 yo units), we ended up getting a whole new system. As much as it hurt my pocket book, I really thought it was going to hurt a whole lot more. They had everything they needed in their shop so they were at my door 8:30 Monday am ready to rip out the old & install the new. All I can say is WOW!! It feels so much better in here! I didn't even realize how messed up my old system was. The guys were very professional, masked, and courteous. I even already recommended them to a friend of mine. I have found his prices to be reasonable (compared to a major company in Joliet) and have never pushed us to purchase a recommended product. I have referred him to several of my family and friends who too are very pleased with their service. I called Bentley because they are a local business -- for 50 years -- and was extremely pleased with the sincerety and professionalism of Frank Sr, as well as his son who came out and cleaned and inspected my furnace for a very reasonable price. I had my furnace stop working last night on one of the coldest days we have been having. Being 10 pm on a holiday weekend I figured I'd be out of luck finding someone to fix it. Called Bentley and the answering service told me the technician would call me back shorty. Within 15 minutes I got a call back, explained the problem and the technician said he would be right over to take a look at the furnace. He showed up and fixed the problem in less than a half hour. Service was excellent and will be using them from now on for all my heating and air conditioning needs. Highly recommend. Can't say enough good things about them. Fast service but it is WAY overpriced. We paid $466 to replace an inducer motor. It took him less than 30 min of labor time. I looked up the part afterwards and it cost between $160-$180. He did not give an estimate before completing the repairs. Will not be using them again. read more

Within two hours of calling, Frank and JImmy arrived at my house, and they diagnosed and corrected a complicated issue. I was amazed at their professional and workmanlike manner. Our air conditioning went out the 1st day of summer temp and humity 105 degrees. I called at 5 p.m. the inside temp of our house was 88 degrees by 7:30pm they had come out the gentlemen said he was on his way home and didn't want someone not to have air conditioning in the summer or heat in winter. He looked at my air conditioner it needed a fuze and new motor. He replaced it, he even had all the parts in his truck.(most have to go back to the shop) he was very concerned that someone was not comfortable in their home. The price of the repair was very reasonable and I felt like they actually cared and were trustworthy. I didnt get that feeling of dread. This was the first time I had used them and I would highly recommend Bentley Heating and Cooling. read more
