It's an early morning, but I'm getting ready to drive back home to Indy. Stopped here for some fuel for my belly and I wasn't disappointed. For a breakfast place it's pretty standard, but everything was prepared nicely and exactly how I ordered it. The star of the show however was my waitress Lisa. She was perfect in knowing when I wanted attention and when I didn't. My coffee was never even close to running out. We chatted when we had a few seconds to spare, and she was on the spot with getting my food. Really enjoyed breakfast on the patio today at Bentley's. Had fun watching the planes overhead as they are approaching O'Hare Airport. Huge portions of food!! Ordered the 2 eggs, hash browns and pancakes breakfast and added on bacon. Have plenty of food leftover for another big breakfast! Service was great and so was the food. Service was NOT spot on here I had to eat my Meal without condiments (ketchup). I cannot have eggs without ketchup, EVER, she never came around to see if we needed anything. Food was ok. The OJ is fresh squeezed but comes from a bottle . The peanut butter French toast was sweet but not something I'd come back for. It wasn't bad but it wasn't amazing either. Pricing was average. A solid, basic, local dinner. Not from the area, but was meeting for breakfast and was impressed with the expansive menu. Had a basic breakfast with sausage patties, hash browns and eggs over easy with rye toast. Okay, boring I know. However, double-yoke eggs had my toast working double-time in a good way. Sausages were pre-made so eh on that front. Hash browns were freshly cooked so they were a plus. Service was 4-stars, which isn't always the case on a busy Saturday morning. We came here for breakfast around 9AM on a Sunday morning. It is a big restaurant so I was happy to be seated right away even though they were busy. There are tons of breakfast options and they serve lunch after 11AM. For breakfast I had scrambled eggs with cheese, pancakes with chocolate chips and whip cream on top, and bacon with orange juice to drink. Overally, my food was decent, pretty standard for breakfast food. For the pancakes they put the chocolate chips on top instead of mixing them in, I generally prefer them mixed in. The eggs were very cheesy which was good. The texture was interesting, the eggs were very soft. The orange juice tasted great, very fresh. The bacon was good, cooked perfectly. I love this place :) they have breakfast, lunch, and dinner all great options at an affordable price. The soups are all homemade in house and my favorite is the chicken noodle soup. Bread is always fresh in the bread basket and they are always willing to sub out whatever you want instead of fries or hash browns. We had soup and a monte Cristo with hash browns. read more

We've ordered via UberEats twice from this location. Sept 25 and this morning; both times ordered the exact same thing. Today, our order cost more and there was less food in the containers, not the end of the world but definitely a little odd. My one star is for the skillet I ordered. It was missing two of the four ingredients I asked for and the tomatoes looked like they belong on a hot dog! Also, you know that distinctive, iron, tast tomatoes have after they been around for a while, that's what the tomatoes tasted like. So, needless to say I paid $14.50 for hasbrowns, 2 eggs, some feta tossed under the two eggs and not so fresh tomatoes. For $14.50 I could have enough breakfast items for days, so we'll be sticking with ordering groceries from Instacart going forward. read more

We love Bentlys !!!! Been coming here over 2 years since we moved in the area and I love everything about this place ! The staff is super friendly , kind , and always takes good care of you ! The food is always so good , hot , and fresh , they also give very big portions ! I love there burgers hot turkey sandwiches their soups but I usually get the cajun chicken sandwich with Swiss and bacon with a side of mashed and gravy and it is amazing. Throughout Chicagoland you'll find a lot of Greek style pancake houses. Generally superior to the big chains like Denny's, or IHOP the menu's are usually very similar even if the food isn't. One Sunday morning I was out searching for a new place to grab breakfast and came across Bentley's. I decided to stop in and was very promptly seated and handed a menu. The inside was fairly spacious with lots of tables set up. It's one of the larger pancake houses I've seen in terms of sheer floorspace. After looking over the menu I decided to try the polish skillet. The skillet I received had some nice pieces of polish sausage in it. Some white mostly unseasoned and flavorless potato mush at the bottom. Cheese, eggs and green peppers in it. The quality of the sausage was excellent, as was the cheese but there wasn't a lot of other flavors working here. There wasn't that much egg, and as mentioned the potato at the bottom was bland. With my skillet I had an option of pancakes or toast. The pancakes here were perfectly acceptable, but nothing super impressive. Service was speedy, though a bit impersonal and I was left with a decent meal, but I wasn't that impressed either. Overall I'd say Bentley's is an average pancake house and award it three stars. If you're nearby and hungry you won't be disappointed. But it's not worth going out of your way to visit here either. read more

Bentley's serves you a *lot* of diner-quality breakfast food at an agreeable price, and with great service. I ordered a veggie skillet with pancakes and soft-boiled eggs. I like my yolks runny, and my whites creamy and cooked. Turns out, the cooks here don't know what a soft-boiled egg looks like, because they pretty much gave me a bowl of 70% raw eggs and the rest with a barely cooked white. I handed it back, asked for scrambled, and I'm pretty sure their scrambled eggs come from a carton. Ah well. The skillet was pretty good but it was hard to find the hash, which was... decently crisp! I thought there would be a lot more. The veggies were fresh and tasted great, though. The pancakes were a bit dense and tasted all right. Nothing particularly special but they did the job. Went here for Sunday brunch because every other place had a wait. Server was so slow and messed up a few times. We asked for refills on our water 3 times and never ended up getting it. Ordered a Diet Coke and never got that either. I ordered a skillet with bacon and cheese and got every meat they had in it. Couldn't even tell her it was wrong because she never came back. Gluten free pancakes aren't gluten free just "gluten free friendly"... what does that even mean.. also never got syrup for the pancakes so didn't even eat them. Left most of the food there. There's a Bentley's right in town!?!? I used to drive all the way to Wood Dale to have breakfast at Bentley's but now I can cut that drive in half. I guess it's a good thing IHOP on North closed down or I wouldn't have realized this restaurant was here. Unfortunately, they are closed at 3pm so I can't have breakfast for dinner. This place is bigger than the Wood Dale location and they were packed for brunch on Sunday. There was about a 1/2 hour wait for a table. It was worth it, though. Their pancakes are as fluffy as ever. The biscuit and gravy was tasty and delicious. I like that they have flavored creamers for the coffee. The food was great and the service was great. I cannot ask for much more out of a breakfast place. read more

I enjoy coming in for breakfast. The food is very good, prices are reasonable and service is A-1 and quick even on a busy day. It is located in the Bloomingdale Lake Street strip mall right next to Dollar Tree and Pivot Point. As a testament of its quality, you will rarely see it empty on a Saturday or Sunday during breakfast hours. But the crowd does not impede your ability to get in and out without compromising the food's taste or temperature. read more

I had high hopes for a second chance at scoring this infamous Baked Apple Pancake. I called in 40 minutes ahead and had to emphasize a small. They didn't ask for my name. We arrived and my +1 put in his order. I got my pancake when his soup came out (fine by me!). Sooo... is it SUPPOSED to be eggy on the inside? It looked crispy/overdone on the outside and seemed WAY undercooked inside. It was completely dense and eggy. Not sure what part was supposed to resemble a pancake.. or even a cake. Needless to say I had a little bit, but it wasn't very palletable: the eggy batter melded with the apples.. it seemed half cooked and the texture was almost custard-like. I took leftovers home, so I hope it'll be better with a second nuke in the oven. (Note: the texture slightly improved after another 40 minutes in the oven, but it was still unpalletable with NO flavor. Tossed it.) I can't believe we paid $10 for that thing. Our server seemed really awesome at first, but she ended up being very inattentive. She never asked us about condiments and coffee refills and of course by the time we remembered to ask her for some, she was nowhere to be found (for looong periods of time). She gave us To Go boxes, but our check didn't come for well over 10 minutes afterward. And, sheyut, we were hell-bent on getting a second coffee refill, so that came after we finally got our check. Wow I can't get enough of these incredible pancake houses in Illinois! And this place was incredible! We ordered a Polish Skillet as well as a large apple pancake...which takes 45 minutes. But was well worth the wait. It was ginormous!!! One or two people couldn't possibly eat this alone, I took it with me and it's so big they gave you a pizza box to take it in. Our server Patty was sweet and gave us to go utensils as well as syrup since she knew we were staying at a hotel. This place is a must for breakfast. read more

My son and I have been here twice this month and both times the food and service were excellent. I had the Chicken Riganate and pork chops Riganate and had enough leftovers for dinner. An excellent value. Both times my son had the meat lovers skillet. He loves it with the house potatoes. Both times the food was served very fast. Very nice restaurant that serves breakfast all day long. We stopped there yesterday and I really enjoyed their French Onion Soup with the cheese and bread on top. Place is a traditional casual American dining place with food similar to iHop. The furnishings and fixtures are rather old style. Food are reasonably portioned, price is reasonable, Food taste is average, toward bland. I had to add salt to the Benedict Florentine have some flavor. Great to have as an option for weekend brunch with a menu of varieties. But not excited about the food taste. If I have to compare it with similar restaurants in the area, Brunch Cafe nearby does a better job overall. read more

Went for the first time today with a friend that has eaten there many times before. Were seated at a table that wasn't cleaned thoroughly - still had crumbs and salt all over. Plastic cups with water were not clean. Wiped off lipstick from my cup. Dish that my food came on was dirty. Ordered the "hippie skillet" with side of french toast. Skillet was undercooked and some spinach leaves were not fresh. French toast was not good and had a weird taste. Want to give them a second chance, but probably won't. Whole experience was disappointing and food was not good. No one came around to refill water and the bus boy tried to take my plate even though there still was food on it. read more

Bentleys is your average suburban brunch place.  The fact that it is still family owned is a thing of note I overheard while dining.  It is a large space holding jyst under 100 at capacity.  Standard booths and tables setup with a counter top for singles.   The coffee was good, cups were on the smaller side.  Prepackaged cream and sugar.  Their veteran staff was friendly and welcoming.   The biscuits and gravy were ok.  They have a special with a biscuit 2 double yolk eggs and your choice of sausage links or bacon.  I got the links which were good.  Not the average pre made links you get everywhere else.  I think the biscuit were fresh made.  The gravy was a little light on the flavor for my taste but still good.   Tldr solid option if you are in the area.  Good small business.  Try something other than the biscuits and gravy next time. read more

Decent local diner. Service was good but I had a few complaints about my Italian skillet ($9.50). The Italian skillet was really overly greasy. Way more than necessary. There was also way too much cheese. I had to take like a 1/4 pound of cheese off my plate. The sausage was good but I did wish it had a little bit of spice to it. They also gave me some hash browns instead of home potatoes like I requested. Aside from that it was fine. The waitress was pretty good with keeping up with coffee and water. Went to have Breakfast after Church with some friends was seated then told me e had to wait because there were others in front of us. We then had to go back up front to wait. We left. Not very good on customer service. We will never go back there again. Hosts are not very friendly to begin with. Hate to make this racial but we had a feeling that had something to do with it. The food is not all that good anyway but the location worked for us. We will never give up Richard WAlkers or Walker Bros for that dump again. read more
