The menu has a nice variety, so it's easy to find something you like, whether you're in the mood for sushi, rice bowls, noodles, or boba. Food is usually prepared pretty quickly, and the staff has been friendly during my visits. Prices are fair for the portion sizes, especially considering the quality of the food. I've come here many times over the years and every time has been great. They now have a $5 Wednesday sushi special where a few of their classic rolls are only $5. My favorite rolls are the Florida and Mt Fuji. The Florida roll is actually included on the $5 sushi special. They're usually running some kind of deal and have a pretty good loyalty program. I was actually able to try there fried rice for free because of the loyalty program. It was the best fried rice I've tasted in the area. They also do pokeballs which are pretty good size as well for the amount of money you spend. The service is always when friendly. One time they forgot one of our rolls and had it ready for us when we went back to pick it up. Inside has a nice layout. I really like the wooden bento box they have on the counter. The location is not that large and the parking in front is limited. During peak hours it is better to park in the larger lot and also to try to avoid the chik-fil-a entrance. The decor inside is bright and pleasant. I got the Mt. Fuji, the Florida roll, and the chicken fried rice. The rolls were nice and fresh and the fried rice was also tasty. The touchscreen ordering system was not showing one fo my rolls so I had to order through the workers and they were friendly and happy to accomodate all of the changes requested. The prices are very reasonable and came to about $20 per person. I will definitely be coming back to satisfy my sushi cravings here. read more

We ordered to have it delivered to the house and although it took longer to get here than what initially estimated, it was well worth the wait. We had the Miami roll, with shrimp and a nice sauce, also the Mt Fuji with Iran and masago on top of a shrimp roll. I ordered the poke bowl with 2 + protein of tuna with masago avocado and scallions served on salad. Everything was great, and their portions were perfect. We didn't eat in as we ordered for delivery but we've been in this location before. It is a clean, streamlined version of a bigger Bento Asian with high tops and independent tables. Counter service. Let's start off with the amazing service and staff at this location. So friendly and so attentive with every item I kept ordering. They made sure my son got all three colored dragons for the kids meals we got. He was so happy! The kids meals are a fantastic value. Great size and very filling. The nuggets are incredible. The tempura breading is so good and they do the fries the same way. We are sure to get those every time. You can't go wrong in anything you order here! I came with some friends for the first time on Memorial Day. We ordered the Family Meal Deal which comes with 4 bowls and 4 sides however we didn't receive any sides. We ordered on the kiosks though so it could've been user error. My husband ordered the Korean chicken bowl and I got the sweet and sour chicken. We both liked the sweet and sour chicken best. I tried the Mongolian chicken bento box and it was so good! The portions were very big for one person. It brings white rice, green beans, salad, and a coconut treat. First time at this Bento & was not disappointed. This Bento is located in Waterford Lakes Town Center. If you enter through Waterford Lakes Pkwy & Alafaya, you won't miss it. It's next to Tin & Taco. It's a nice size place with 3 booths & high tops. The process is contactless and cashless. Place your order at the kiosk and wait.. The menu has a few sushi options, like mt. Fuji, red dragon and special roll. There are quick bites like fried krab wontons, pork dumplings, miso soup and fried baos. They have Bento boxes or rice or noodle bowls. Protein options, tofu, chicken, steak, shrimp or a combination of any of those. *FYI the fried rice is a $4.50 upgrade. We ordered a fried rice bowl with chicken pao pao which is a sweet & sour sauce with a delicious spice. And the plain lo mein noodles with chicken pao pao. Both to go. We waited about 10 mins. Once home, we torn into it. It is good. The entire bowl is flavorful and still piping hot. That pao pao sauce is yummy. The chicken is battered and enveloped nicely in that sauce in a way that they do not lose the satisfying crunch when bitten into! The rice is nicely cooked. It is served with green beans, chunks of red and green peppers. The same with the lo mein bowl. The noodles are cooked well, they still have a nice bounciness when you chew them Overall a nice meal on a Thursday night when it's just my son and cooking is not what I wanted to do. read more

Was in the Waterford lakes area and after a day of shopping got hungry and wanted something quick. I like how you order thru a kiosk making it easy for me to really look at menu and pick and choose what you want without someone waiting on you. Tried of variety of things from the pork eggrolls, Krab Rangoon, and teriyaki chicken bento box. Everything was delicious and good portions. I have gone to Bento locations both at UCF and Waterford Lakes (WL) and always loved it! My review today is specifically to appreciate ONE employee who goes above and beyond for me and other customers every time I have been at the WL location. Their name is DANIE and they are exceptional. One particular thing Danie did for me (that prompted me to write this review) is that they went to a lot of trouble to see that my points for my first meal were recorded in my Loyalty Account (even though the account was brand new). Danie wanted to make sure that I received the points that day, and I really appreciated them for going 'above and beyond' for me. Bento has had me in a chokehold for years... specifically the Pao Pao chicken!! I am so glad that they opened this location in Waterford. I love how it's smaller than the other locations! It feels more intimate. Very cool how they added the machines that we can use to order on our own. I love how we are able to customize the spice level. This is exactly what I was looking for tonight. I just wanted to have a single sushi roll and a cup of miso soup. Bento has mall food court quality sushi rolls. It's definitely not on the level of the more expensive independently owned Japanese restaurants with sushi bars, but that's okay. It's not trying to be fancy or opulent like Nobu in Manhattan or Taku in King of Prussia. For a little fancy strip mall Japanese to go restaurant this place is perfect. It's nicely decorated and they have a great mix of pop music and classic R&B music like Jagged Edge and Usher. Overall this is a solid little takeout spot for sushi and other Japanese cuisine. read more

It's your basic Bento but way smaller! I usually only order on delivery apps but this is the first time I went in person to the Waterford location. I was impressed how clean it was and I thought the built in charging tables were cool! However, it's a very small space with not a lot of seating and it's communal at that, I would hate to come on a busy time. I normally order the same things (Mount Fuji rolls or a Pao Pao chicken) so it's hard to mess up the order. Staff is kind and helpful too. I took a star off because of the prices being a bit high for what you get. It's yummy food but there's certainly better places out there. read more

The owners must be Crazy Rich Asians for what they charge for their food. Ay Chihuahua! It's a shame because the food was pretty good and it came out pretty quick, but man oh man! Price is a factor. Ordering was easy at the kiosk, although I wish you could see a bigger picture of the dish when you dug in a bit more. The ordering system reminds me of ordering from Sus Hi Eatstation, and it shows the upcharges for the selections that change the price as you go. I hate when you have to add to your cart before you see the price, so a win there. The food was pretty good! The Udon Noodle Bowl I ordered with Shrimp and Chicken was delicious. The noodz were chewey and delicious, and the Mongolian sauce was good too. The egg roll had a light crispiness too it and it was probably the 2nd best egg roll I ever had (C'mon Jack in the Box, start building those 10 Orlando locations). The base price of the bowl was $14.50 and I did a $2 upgrade to Chicken and Shrimp. The one item that was a good price was the add on of an egg roll for $2 with the bowl. I was looking to add a side of egg rolls but it looked like 2 egg rolls were $7.50. They also offer rewards. However, the receipt from the kiosk doesn't have the barcode you need to earn rewards. The print on the receipt (which I looked at from my house) says to ask for a receipt from the counter for the proper barcode. Ok, the receipt didn't talk. Instead, I had to email a copy of the receipt to them so they can add the points. It took a while, but they finally did add points. For $38 after tax and tip for 2 bowls and 1 egg roll, I decided before I even received my food that I probably wouldn't eat here again. I could get more food for less money which tastes better at any Chinese takeout place. I could probably even get it via Uber Eats or DoorDash too for about the same price. read more

We love the food. The food is delicious and exactly as described. That said, it's entirely too expensive for what you get. It's a tough call to make when I can get ALMOST as good about 2 minutes from here and pay 2/3 of the cost. Another that said, we do come here semi-frequently. We almost always take it to go because of the small dining area with highly uncomfortable chairs. Also the a/c was out for like 7 months here, which shouldn't be even possible in 2024. It was a million degrees here and I felt horrible for the people in the kitchen. Good food. Great staff. High-ish prices. Bad dining room. Order it and take it home for a great night. read more

Glad we stopped by to try this newer and closer location! We both got our usual-- katsu red / Japanese curry. Compared to the original location it's definitely lacking. My red curry sauce tasted good as usual, but the Japanese curry lacked flavor since it was so watered down... It was a thin sauce, not the thick and rich sauce you can expect with Japanese style curry. Also, we both thought the chicken had a chewier/denser texture because it wasn't thin enough like usual. Overall I like the atmosphere in here much better than the original and am glad to have tried it, but I would recommend just going to the one on university if you're craving it. read more

This is my 2nd time eating here and each time there experience is better. My friend and I stopped by today and the young man who helped us was very nice and made my day with that good Lychee lemonade. There were also 2 ladies behind the counter who were amazing as well, im a bit of a saucy girl and the one young lady made sure I was happy with all the teriyaki sauce my heart desired lol. Lastly the other lovely lady let us try some sushi rolls that were also a tasty treat, and a kind gesture. I don't usually like to leave negative reviews, but I've been to other bento locations and my experience with this one was disappointing. The food is ok, but the service was really bad. Harmony was especially frustrating. She seemed really uninterested in helping customers and was really rude, to be honest. Just basic requests like asking for silverware were treated like an inconvenience , and overall the level of attentiveness was far below what I would expect from somewhere that values customer service, the tables around the restaurant weren't even wiped down and it was kind of gross. Everyone has bad days but the lack of professionalism and effort during my visit made the experience much less enjoyable then it has been at other locations. I really hope management takes customer feedback seriously and works on improving service because the food alone isn't enough to get me to come back. On top of that, wait times are really long, and overall it's just not worth it. read more

Got the General Tso's Bento box and it was super good!! Everything tasted fresh which was a huge plus. I wish they served more green beans with it, they were 100% my fave besides the chicken. Only complaint is the lack of flavor from the noodles (even after adding some soy sauce). Otherwise, they have a super easy ordering station and very kind staff! I will be back FOR SURE! read more

I like that this location is much less crowded than the other bento location I've gone to near UCF and also the one in downtown Orlando. Being in the Waterford lakes area, it's much calmer at night and I was able to get my food within 10 minutes of ordering. They have no cashier, only kiosks for no contact ordering, employees are behind the counter preparing food for pick up. It was very quiet with just one couple there eating dinner. It was perfect because I had just come from the gym and was in and out. There's a cute neon cat display on the wall and the decor is clean and open. I ordered pad Thai and miso soup was only $1 extra so that was a score! The miso soup also had mushrooms in it so it gave me clear soup vibes and was delicious. The pad thai was a bit dry and stuck together but had a lot of shrimp in it that made it worth the price since I had leftovers. I prefer it to be less sauce anyways because that's healthier than drowning it in oil or sauce like other locations. I'm not the most excited to repurpose the leftovers due to lack of the base flavor. I'm eager to try their pao pao noodle bowl and sushi next time. They also have an outdoor seating area so that means they're dog friendly on the front patio! read more

I've been to Bento plenty of times, especially in Gainesville while attending college and I've been to the UCF location a few times as well. This was my first time at this location but I was disappointed overall. You order at the kiosks and there were two and a line to order. You're not able to add substitutions or add additional items to your bowl as I omitted a few ingredients. After my order was printed I went to the front and asked the worker if I could add a vegetable and she was able to which was great. I ordered the Dragon fire noodles as I wanted something spicy. Food took awhile to come out. There are packets of soy sauce but if you want sriracha you have to go up and ask for it. Same for water. The other Bentos would have it out at your convenience. The food finally arrived and it came in plastic! And it was a small portion for the price. I've been able to go to Bento and share a bowl before. They barely had any noodles and the noodles were very chewy and not the consistency noodles should be. The sauce was good and it was spicy. I will not be visiting this Bento again. read more
