I honestly don't even know where to start. The customer service here is absolutely terrible. The owner was rude, dismissive, and acted like helping customers was some kind of burden. I've never felt so unwelcome at a place I was paying money to support. And the food? Completely disgraceful. It looked sloppy, tasted even worse, and was nowhere near worth the price. I've had better meals from a gas station. Between the awful attitude and the low-quality food, this place is a complete joke. Came to visit this place for the first time and what a surprise I got. Ordered something easy that every Chinese Restaurant should be an expert on, chicken fried rice. The fried rice was ok but the chicken, I have no idea what kind of chicken they use but it was awful. The taste was blend to say the least, even Panda Express fried rice taste excellent compared to this one. I live around this neighborhood and try to support the locals but this is one place I would not recommend. Totally AWEFUL! I have eaten at this location many times in the past, because I live in the neighborhood, and the beef chow fun, a true Hong Kong staple, was always really good. HOWEVER, today, when I took a Chinese guest in to pick up lunch, the experience turned out to be a terrible mess. First of all, there are no paper menus, you order at the counter and pay up front. OK, that's ok, but there are signs everywhere that packaged sauces are not put in the bags with the food, so if you want anything, hot mustard, soy sauce, etc, you must get it yourself. That's alright, too, if you notice the signs and can read English. BUT here is the real issue - the food! The real reason why I convinced a Chinese man, born in Hong Kong, US Citizen for years, to come with me was because the Beef chow fun was as good as a fancy sit-down Chinese restaurant. BEEF CHOW FUN is made with rice noodles, wide cut ones, and mixed with sauce, vegetables and beef. The purpose of the sauce and noodles is to mix properly to incorporate the sauce into the noodles for flavor. We ordered 2 different chow fun dishes, and when we went to eat them, the noodles were not mixed with the sauce. they xame out of the littls round containers stuck together, like a 'noodle pizza on top, absolutely NO FLAVOR. Worst meal ever. It almost looks as if this is new ownership, and the woman cooking doesn't know what she's doing. I'm not returning to this place. And if I were you, Id pass on it too. What a pity! I've been living near this business for the last five years and I am so disappointed in myself by not trying it before. Now mind you, I've never been one to crave Chinese food, but after having traveled to China in November 2019, I really began to appreciate Chinese food and now often crave it. So my Juan (husband) and decided to try their carry-out option (they do delivery too). Juan had pork ribs with friend rice and I had Mongolian style chicken with fried rice, no meat. We took advantage of their dinner special with includes either a spring roll or soda. We opted for the spring roll. The portions are great and one plate is good enough for two. I understand they have a huge kitchen in back, but it didn't feel very cool to be sitting there. However, we stuck it out. The food was reasonably priced for the portion size and the quality. Both my boyfriend and I had leftovers so we were definitely satisfied. I ordered the boneless spare ribs lunch special and it was pretty tasty. The spare rib pieces were cut in big chunks, which I'm not used to. I'm used to the smaller, skinnier cuts, but that was okay. And the egg roll was by far my favorite part. It was a thick egg roll with fresh vegetables inside and perfectly fried. It wasn't greasy at all and paired with the lunch nicely. Overall, it was a decent lunch. Ordered Chinese from here for the first time yesterday for dinner. Had to be the worst Chinese food I've ever had. The beef & broccoli came with barely any broccoli and the meat was SO SLIMY. Came here for take out lunch. Boy do they give you SO much food, even if it is only a lunch special. During times like these, there are no tables to sit indoors, so don't even try. They have celophane wrap as a barrier between the kitchen and the counter, which I thought was....interesting.... Though I am very greatful for the amount of food they gave me, I wish they had used a little less sauce on the honey garlic chicken. Also the wonton soup was very orange, which was atypical for me. The chicken and broccoli was disappointing, as the chicken was slimy and the consistency wasn't right. The lo mein was okay. The chicken wings were not crispy at all, but the pork rice was okay. The food before being sold was great. We tried the food under this new owner but it was not good at all. The rice had no flavor. We ordered the combination rice that brings everything. They were cheap with everything. Hardly no shrimp and they used the smallest shrimps they have, hardly no chicken, no nothing. But they charged a lot more than the old owners. I asked for Mongolian beef extra spicy, it came with no spice at all. I mean it wasn't even hot Today I figured we give them another chance and order from the lunch menu. My wife has a little cold so we asked for chicken noodle soup. The last time we ordered chicken noodle soup it hardly came with no broth. So I asked the gentleman if we could have some extra broth. He said he would have to charge his regular price. I said could you put a little broth in a little container and I wwouldpay for it. But he said that he can't do that that he would have to charge us like a regular soup. So I asked him can't you just give away a little broth. He said no. So then I made the remark that is not great customer service. He said he didn't care and that he only gets paid $10 an hour and that he doesn't need to put up with our shit. And for us to go somewhere else. So we did and we order from the pPalaceChinese restaurant on Alafaya. Phone was answered before the second ring, order was taken properly and I was given an estimate of 20 minutes. I showed up 20 minutes later and the food was waiting for me. The quality of the food itself was also much better. My wife's chicken with mixed vegetables had lots of both ingredients and my Moo Shu Pork was very flavorful and had lots of meat which isn't always the case. I'd pump the brakes on "best Chinese ever" (I used to live in Manhattan) but it's certainly as good as any I've had around here and we'll be back. read more

The place seem bigger than I expected and quite nice. Totally love the food. Really brought back memory when my parent used to open restaurant back in the day. Gentso chicken and fried rice are my favorite. Gotta love the chicken wings and crab rangoon. I recommend eating the chicken wing with the hot sauce packet. Although it's well season but just taste amazing with the hot sauce. Everything make per order, so expect some time for fresh hot food. Totally a great spot to grab some lunch.
